Pinkie Pie galloped up the hill to Fluttershy's cottage. She would be bunny-sitting Angel today, which was her least favorite job. She'd rather be at Sugar Cube Corner, helping out Mr. and Mrs. Cake, baking treats or watching the twins. Just thinking about it made her regret her choice to take the responsibility of Fluttershy's favorite critter.
She continued up the path until she came to a bright door, and pounded her hoof on it.
"Fluttershy! Open up NOW! I haven't got until Christmas! "
The door opened slowly, which made Pinkie even more angry.
A light colored head peeked out, followed by a wavy mane.
"Oh, hi Pinkie Pie" Fluttershy whispered.
"Ughh, just hurry up already! It isn't that hard open a door!" The pink pony exclaimed.
"Oh, my, I-I didn't mean to make you ang-"
Before the shy pony could finish, Pinkie Pie bounced inside and the first thing she saw was a purple-and-yellow blur on the ground, for Pinkie was bouncing so high, so fast.
When her eyes adjusted, she saw a little pony sitting on the ground, legs tucked under itself.
When it saw Pinkie Pie, it's eyes grew so wide, Pinkie thought they might po. At once it looked at the floor.
Pinkie's grew wide, too, looked at the creature, then at Fluttershy.
"Who is this?!" Pinkie yelled at her friend, although she knew she should've whispered instead.
The little pony gasped, but didn't speak.
"Well, umm, uh, well, uh…"
"Fluttershy! Who?!"
The pink-maned pony looked at the ground, then almost at her friend, but they didn't meet gazes.
Fluttershy took a deep breath, and squeaked, "Pinkie, meet my sister, Candy Sweets"
Pinkie gasped, her eyes grew wide, and her mouth formed an "o"
"How, but, wha?!
"Well, you wanted the truth!" Fluttershy blurted out, tears forming in her eyes.
"I know you guys never knew, and I didn't either, but, but… ahhhhhhhhh! I'm so sorry!"
Pinkie patted her friends back.
"There, there. Here, lets go to Twilight's, and have her call up Rarity and Applejack and Rainbow Dash. Do you want to bring up, umm, Candy?" Pinkie whispered the last word.
Fluttershy sniffled and nodded.
Pinkie nodded to Candy, and the little filly rose to her hooves and followed the mares out the door, walking close to Pinkie.
They made their way down the hills…
