In the ruins of what was formerly known as Equestria, lies a capitol surrounded by 12 districts. Each year the Capitol forces one pony of each gender to be transferred into a public arena, in a kill-or-be-killed event, also known as the Hunger Games.

Matt was just a regular guy. He went to school, had a normal apartment, and normal friends. Everything in his life was normal. That is, of course, until his 25th birthday, where he finds his own cutie mark.
