When the war began, it was just business as usual for Sergeant Blackburn. That is until an ambush leaves his squad decimated and him wounded and captured by enemy forces.

The war is over. Equestria has signed a peace treaty with NATO forces, allowing both armies to return home, save for one soldier. Sergeant James Blackburn, a former Ranger and defector, finds that he cannot return home. This is his story.
