“Gathering of the Elements,” an old pony’s tale that was forgotten in the waves of time. This is the book Twilight finds in the library, a book she had never before seen despite her frequent visits. Being the bookworm she is, Twilight of course decides to give it a read.

Princess Celestia predicts that one day, her sister will break the seal that confines her in the moon. Not wanting to fight her sister, she gives a mission to collect the Elements of Harmony to her student, the young unicorn Dusk Star, also known as the charming magician, and one of her royal knights, the pegasus Lance Ironhoof. By collecting the Elements of Harmony, they could be stored in a safe place, for the future pony that would end up using it.
