In the plane of Ravnica…
A man was running through the streets of Ravnica. “Out of the way, coming through!” He shouted to the people on the street he dashed across. Everyone quickly made way for the Izzet mage, quickly recognizable by his red and blue clothes. The dragon tattoo and his trademark elemental gauntlet, different from any other in the Izzet, identified him as Ral Zarek.
“Why are you in such an hurry, Ral?” A strange creature asked him, in the most basic of descriptions it was lightning in a gel casing.
“Melek! I was going to Nivix. Apparently Tajic is on his way there.” Ral said. “Any progress on the maze?”
“I’m working on it.” Izzet’s champion dashed away to try and complete the Intricate maze, which would give the Izzet power over Ravnica.
Ral resumed his running, trying to get to Nivix, the Izzet headquarters, before the Boros champion could get to their clue stone. With a lightning strike he teleported himself over to a rooftop, continuing his run afterwards.
Suddenly a few of Boros’ angels appeared, probably to defend their champion. “I haven’t got time for this!” Ral shouted as a burst of lightning came from the sky, hitting the angels.
Soon after he arrived at Nivix. The tower stood proud above the landscape. On every single level experiments were being held and science was being done and, at the very top, stood Niv-Mizzet, Izzet parun and guild master.
A ball of fire caught Ral’s attention. He saw some guildmages fighting the champion, a rather foolish decision as Tajic defeated them all. “The might of the legion shall prevail!” The warrior in red and white clad armor bellowed.
“I’ll be the judge of that!” Ral shouted out punching the champion in the chest with his fist charged with electricity. The Boros soldier tumbled backwards a few steps but was otherwise unarmed.
“So… one of the most famous and powerful Izzet mages comes here to face me? I’m honored.” Tajic said. Ral passed a hand through his brown and white hair.
“Well we can’t just have anyone defend the clue stone, now can we?” Ral said with a grin.
“Enough talk! Have at thee!” Tajic charged against Ral, who barely dodged a strike of the soldier’s sword. The Izzet mage jumped back and fired an electric bolt, which was reflected by Boros’ champion.
“You’re gonna have to do better than that!” Tajic sliced away with his sword, being blocked however, by an arcane shield from Ral. As the onslaught stopped Ral expanded his shield, catching Tajic in its radius and electrocuting him.
“Is that all you got?” Ral taunted.
“It’s about time.” Tajic muttered. This caught Ral by surprise, he was also surprised by the halberdier behind him. With quick reflexes and a teleport he got out of harm’s way.
“You surrounded me? Poor bastards.” Ral grinned and summoned a storm, taking out many soldiers and angels, but there were more. ‘Well fuck, I’m running out of mana. Maybe I could just…’ He thought.
“Do you give? Or will we have to kill you?” Tajic asked pointing his sword at Ral.
“I’d rather take the third option.” Ral said with a grin before disappearing in a white flash.
“Where is he? Where did that reckless mage go?” A confused soldier asked his battalion.
Meanwhile in Valoran…
A being of pure energy floated around the halls of the institute of war. A rune and chains linked what looked like a suit of armor made of black metal to his blue arcane body. Everyone in the League, both summoners and champions, knew that it was actually a sarcophagus, a prison, a seal of his true power.
It was a fact that Xerath would be omnipotent as soon as he was freed. This made him a very respected champion amongst the league, summoners were afraid of summoning him because of fear that the knowledge and power of the ascended being would drive them insane and champions with no viable way of closing gaps were terrified when laning against him.
If all went accorded to plan, Xerath would be free by the end of the day. He would teleport into Summoner’s Rift and drain all the power he could from the nexus. When that was finished, he would be free and his power would be revealed.
He looked around and didn’t see anyone, now was the time. He charged up his teleporting spell focusing on the blue nexus, the one that would give him the power he needed.
In a bright flash he appeared on the battle grounds he knew so well. He turned around and faced the focus of most of the magical energy in the field. “This is it… I will be free!” He bellowed in a deep ghostly whisper.
Setting the masses of energy that were his hands on the gem within the nexus he started. Strands of blue arcane energy were being drained from the nexus to the being of pure energy.
What Xerath didn’t expect was the summoners wearing purple robes with gold trimmings surrounding him while he was in the middle of the process. “Surprised Xerath?” One of the summoners, this one in black robes, asked.
“You cannot stop me! I will be FREE!” He shouted, increasing the flow of energy.
“Get him!” The summoner in black robes ordered. The others, obeying him fired spells at Xerath.
“You fools! Do you know who I am!?” Xerath bellowed shielding himself from the spells and releasing a shockwave with the stored energy. Only the black-robed summoner was left on his feet. His image distorted into an elderly man with a brown cloak and leather armor.
“You will do just fine.” He said in a deep voice. Xerath was caught by surprise when a bolt of energy impacted the nexus, sending the spell out of control and teleporting him to another world. In a bright flash the mysterious man disappeared.
In Canterlot’s throne room…
Princess Celestia was having a good day, everything was peaceful, her sun was shining in the sky and there was nothing to be worried about. That is, until she heard a lightning bolt in the gardens. There wasn’t a storm scheduled for that day so she decided to check it out.
Hallway after hallway was cleared swiftly as she moved through the castle. Soon she arrived at the gardens, coming across with a very peculiar view. A being made of pure energy, trapped in a metal shell by a rune and some chains, back to back with a human, wearing equipment and clothes completely foreign to her. Around them were her guards fighting them… and losing horribly.
Out of all the things in her head only one question came out. “What is going on here!?”
Five minutes earlier, in the gardens…
Ral appeared with a flash. He quickly examined his surroundings. He was surrounded by hedges and statues, there were a few white equine creatures with horns, wearing armor and levitating spears. There was also a being of pure energy next to him, just another day at the office. “Stop beasts!” One of the equines said.
“I don’t know who you are and you don’t know who I am, but I guess we’re in this together. Wanna partner up?” Ral whispered to the arcane being.
“I’ll take out the ones behind you.” Xerath answered.
“Try not to kill anyone. I want to talk with the leader of this place before doing so.” Ral said.
“A reasonable course of action.” Xerath replied, stunning one of them with arcane energy. All the others assumed a defensive position.
‘This is gonna be fun.’ Ral thought, charging his elemental gauntlet.
Back to when Princess Celestia appeared…
“Well what happened is that we don’t like being called beasts and having spears pointed at us.” Ral said in a casual tone
“What my unexpected partner here meant to say is that your guards attacked us for no good reason, not taking the time to see if we were hostile.” Xerath said.
“Well are you?” Celestia asked.
“We’re more of a neutral kind of thing.” Ral answered. “You attack us and we strike back, but if you’re friendly we’ll also be friends.”
“So you’re saying that this is just a misunderstanding?” She said glaring at them and pointing at the ‘battlefield’.
“They’re not dead or even hurt, that much anyway. We stunned them with some low voltage electricity. And I still don’t know your name elemental thing.” Ral said suddenly turning the conversation to Xerath.
“I am NOT an elemental! I am Xerath, ascended arcane magus of the Shurima desert, located in the island of Valoran, from the world Runeterra. I am the very essence of magic and I will be free from this metal prison!” He bellowed.
“I am right here, no need for shouting.” Ral said rubbing his head in pain from the sheer volume of Xerath’s voice. “As for me. I’m Ral Zarek, a guild mage for the Izzet league specialized in high-voltage magic. I am one of the most powerful, and one of the smartest mages on the guild. Unknown to Niv-Mizzet, the guildmaster of the Izzet, I am also a planeswalker, a powerful being capable of traversing the planes of existence at will.”
“I am princess Celestia, one of the rulers of Equestria. Come in for I believe we have much to discuss.” She said.
“Lead the way.” Xerath said.
A few minutes later, in the throne room…
“Who are we waiting for? Izzet mages are not well known for waiting.” Ral said, his gauntlet sparking with electricity.
“I thought you said you were low on mana.” Xerath said.
“Hello? We’re in a mountain, so there’s plenty of red mana around.” Ral said.
“Red mana?” Xerath and Celestia asked.
“You don’t know the colors of mana?” Ral asked, confused as to how an arcane being and a ruler didn’t know about the colors of mana.
“I am foreign with such concept. Maybe we have different forms of magic.” Xerath said.
“That is possible, you do come from different planes of existence.” Celestia concluded.
“Last time I checked it worked like this for the entire Multiverse. But you know what? It doesn’t matter, I’ll explain anyway!” He lifted his arm and formed five balls of energy with different colors: green, red, blue, white and black.
“Throughout the planes there is mana, this mana can be of five different colors.” The red ball grew in size and the others disappeared. “Red mana comes from mountains and volcanoes. Red magic is all about chaos and fury, fueled in great part by the user’s emotions. It’s a very ‘explosive’ kind of mana, for lack of a better term. Red mages are adept at fire, lightning and rock magic. I personally use red mana and I specialized in thunder magic.”
“Next up is blue.” The red sphere of energy turned blue. “Blue mana comes from islands and pretty much everywhere there is water. It is the magic of knowledge, air, water and mind. It’s mages like to have full control of the battlefield, manipulating it with their magic, before making a move. As a blue mage I use the knowledge/mind part the most.”
“Now for green.” The energy changed again, this time into a green hue. “Green mana comes from forests. Green magic stands for life and nature. Users of green magic can heal themselves and others while summoning massive beasts and woodland creatures to do their bidding.”
“Now it’s white’s turn.” The sphere changed into the purest tone of white. “White mana comes from planes. White is the color of order and protection. Mages skilled with this kind of magic are able to aid their allies and summon small, but coordinated, armies to defeat their foes.
“Last but not least is black.” The sphere became dark as darkness itself. “Black mana comes from swamps. It represents death and decay. Black mages summon unimaginable horrors, undead soldiers and all sorts of creatures of the night to destroy their targets. Black mages care for nothing more than power and themselves.” Ral finished.
“Fascinating…” All heads turned to the new voice. A group of six ponies were there. The purple unicorn stood there looking at Ral with amazement. The blue pegasus with rainbow mane, however seemed just plain bored.
“Oh no, is he another egghead?” She asked. Ral could stand a lot of things but being insulted was too much! Another pony, a white one with purple mane immediately scolded her.
“Rainbow! Don’t be so rude!” With an accent like that Ral could swear she was part of the Orzhov, he hated those upper class snobs.
“Come here you rainbow colored horse! Show me what you got!” Ral challenged the one called Rainbow, his gauntlet sparked with electricity.
“Oh you’re on.” She was getting ready to charge at the guildmage but was stopped by an orange pony with blonde mane and a hat.
“Now hang on a second Rainbow! You’re not fighting whatever that critter is!” She said.
“I’m a not a critter! I’m a human!” Ral said struggling against the magical bindings Xerath set on him.
“Calm down! We have no need for enemies in this place!” Xerath said.
“Hi! I’m Pinkie Pie! Ooooooooooh! What are you? Who are you? You’re all electric and stuff! It must be fun floating around like that! I wonder if I can do it.” That was all Xerath could understand from the pink pony that appeared from nowhere and talked at a million miles per hour.
“Well that’s first impressions gone horribly wrong.” Ral heard the purple unicorn say.
‘Indeed they are.” Was all he could think.

An evil plot and a train ride.
“EVERYONE CALM DOWN!” Xerath finally bellowed, his voice attracting the attention of everyone in the room. “I HAVE DEALT WITH ENOUGH FOOLS IN VALORAN, AND I DON’T WANT TO DEAL WITH MORE HERE!” His whole body sparked with energy and he looked like he would blow up at any moment. Upon seeing all beings in the room fall silent he continued, much calmer this time. “How about we start with introductions?”
“The name is Ral Zarek, Izzet guildmage. I am a scientist that mixes technology and magic for the progress of Ravnica, also known as the city of guilds. I specialize in storm and electric magic, as well as a bit of arcane.” Ral introduced himself with a smirk, his gauntlet letting out a jolt of electricity to emphasize his point. “What about you rainbow pony? Do you think you can take me on, now?”
“Of course I can! After all I am the one and only Rainbow Dash, the fastest flier of Equestria.” She replied with a smirk of her own. Then they just… glared at each other, invisible sparks were flew between them, as a rivalry initiated.
“Right… Well, I am Twilight Sparkle, student of princess Celestia.” Twilight said looking over at the energy being. “And you are?”
“I am Xerath, an ascended magus from the Shurima desert. From the moment I ascended I became the arcane in its purest form. I am the very essence of magic and I carry power you cannot possibly understand!” Xerath said casually as the pieces of his sarcophagus separated, showing the electric being inside. He was met with expressions of awe from the five ponies in front of him.
“Well nice to meet you Xers! I’m Pinkie Pie! Oh wait, I already said that, silly me!” Pinkie jumped in the converstion.
“Do not call me that again.” Xerath said, while eerily calm. “I am Xerath and you shall refer to me by my name.” He continued, bringing his head one inch away from Pinkie’s face. “Understood?”
“Okey dokey lokey!” She then bounced away.
“Why do I have this feeling of impending doom if she ever meets Shaco?” Xerath muttered.
“Shaco?” Twilight asked.
“I will explain more later.” Xerath said. “Who are you?” He said pointing at the orange pony.
“Ah’m Applejack. Nice to meet ya partner.” She introduced herself.
“And I’m Rarity. Charmed.” The white unicorn spoke in an almost regal tone.
“I see… What about her?” Xerath pointed at a terrified yellow pegasus, who let out a low yelp upon the reference. “What is your name little one?” He asked.
“That’s Fluttershy. She’s like that with everypony, and I think it’s a bit worse this time because you are kind of… intimidating.” Twilight said.
“It is normal for me to receive such comments. I want to know, however. How can I get back to Valoran?” Xerath said.
“I wouldn’t count on it unless you’re a god or a planeswalker.” Ral said, finally breaking eye contact with Rainbow.
“WHAT!?” Xerath bellowed, making Fluttershy shriek in fear.
“You heard me. Unless you’re omnipotent or you find out a way to planeswalk without being ripped apart by the Blind Eternities you’re staying here.” Ral said in a matter-of-factly tone.
“YOU MEAN THIS SIMPLE RUNE IS BLOCKING ME, NOT ONLY FROM TRUE POWER, BUT ALSO HOME!?” Xerath yelled angrily.
“Rune? I thought those metal shards were some sort of armor. Are they actually a seal?” Ral asked.
“The mages of Shurima encased me, and limited my power, because they were afraid of what they did not understand. These are shards of the sarcophagus they locked me in.” He said.
“Don’t worry we’ll find a way to get you out and get you home. Are you helping too?” Twilight said, looking at Ral.
“Do you really think a scientist would pass up such an opportunity? I’m part of the Izzet, achievers of impossible goals! We push magic and science beyond their known boundaries. It’s time for research!” Ral said rubbing his hands together, bringing a sense of unease from the ponies.
“Well… Now that you know each other, would you mind taking them in the library Twilight?” Celestia asked.
“Of course I wouldn’t, but we should get on our way now if we want to get there by the end of the day. Twilight said.
“Then I proclaim this meeting is over.” Celestia said dismissing the ponies, the arcane being and the planeswalker.
<…>
“How far is this ‘Ponyville’ place?” Ral asked.
“We are in the train for about two minutes, just be patient.” Twilight said.
“The Izzet do not like waiting. We like challenging the impossible, and science!” Ral said, while looking out the window.
“Mind explaining what this ‘Izzet’ thing is?” Twilight said, getting a notepad at the ready.
“I am also quite interested in knowledge from other planes.” Xerath said.
“It’s not like I have anything better to do. Let’s start off simple. I come from Ravnica, known among planeswalkers as the city of guilds.” Ral said. “In this plane there are ten guilds, each representing a combination of two colors of mana.”
“The Izzet League represent blue and red, we are the scientists of Ravnica and we always push further, going beyond the known boundaries of magic, often with explosive results. Our leader is the Dracogenius, Niv-Mizzet, he’s an ancient dragon with unfathomable knowledge.”
“The Azorius Senate are the legal and government sector of Ravnica, representatives of blue and white, while led by the Sphinx Isperia. They are very committed to their jobs, instantly imprisoning anyone who breaks the laws. To me, they block progress.”
“The Boros Legion are the white and red guild and the security forces, following their own rules to bring justice. Their leader, the angel Aurelia, doesn’t care if a rule or two are broken, as long as justice is made.”
“The Simic Combine, led by their prime speaker, a merfolk named Zegana. They are biomancers who use green and blue magic. They are scientists that use life instead of technology, basically… They play God. They make weird creatures called krasis by fusing the essences of two life forms together, it’s quite interesting.”
“The Selesnya Conclave uses green and white magic. They are very skilled healers and they are mostly peacekeepers. Currently they’re under the leadership of the driad Trostani.”
“In the House Dimir users of black and blue magic reside. Officially the Dimir do not exist but the citizens of Ravnica know who it is when there is an assassination or espionage. They are currently led by a skilled shapeshifter called Lazav.”
“The Grull clans represent red and green. A bunch of savages I tell you. Their leader, Borborygmos, wants to take down civilization. But having them around is usefull for managing everything related to nature.”
“The Orzhov Syndicate is the representative of black and white magic. Their leader is not one, but a council of very rich ghosts called the Obzedat. The Orzhov care a lot about money, you don’t want to be in their debt, that cost many people their afterlife. They manage finances back on Ravnica.”
“The Golgari Swarm are led by the lich, Jarad. They use green and black magic, manipulating the cycles of life and death. They deal with waste disposal and agriculture, being very important in Ravnica.”
“Last but not least the Rakdos Cult. Those psychpatic red and black magic users are fucking insane! They take care of mining and stuff of the sort, but they’re also renewed criminals who worship the demon Rakdos. And before you ask: Yes, he named his guild after himself.” Ral finished and leaned back on his seat.
“Interesting… So Ravnica is a city where the guilds co-operate for prosperity and peace?” Twilight asked.
“Not really. There are a lot of… Heated rivalries between the guilds. I’ve been in a couple of skirmishes myself.” Ral said shrugging. “When people get in the way of progress the most likely thing they will get is a lightning bolt to the face.” A jolt of electricity ran through his gauntlet.
“How can you speak of fighting so naturally?” Rarity asked, a bit shocked.
“Conflict exists everywhere. In some places it’s less intense but it’s there. I suspect that the guilds of Ravnica fight for power.” Xerath said.
“Exactly! Each guild has been trying to rule Ravnica. The Guildpact, a magical document stopping all aggressions between guilds, was broken a long time ago and now, once again, the guilds vie for power.” Ral explained.
The rest of the trip went rather uneventful as they were on their way to Ponyville.
In an unknown plane…
Two beings met in a huge cavern, dimly lit by some torches. In it a man and a massive brown dragon met. The dragon, a being of untold power, held a gem through telekinesis between his long horns.
Strands of mana were flowing wildly throughout the cave as the dragon’s minions worked restlessly, researching ways to make their master even stronger and to make him master of the Multiverse.
“Things are almost ready in Equestria, master Nicol.” The man who brought Xerath to Equestria said.
“Soon the plane will be mine. You did a good job Lazav. Is there anything else that I should know?” Nicol asked.
“The planeswalker Ral Zarek is also in the plane, master. What would you have me do with him?” Lazav asked.
“Do what you please with the guildmage, just make sure he won’t get in the way.” Nicol said.
“It will be my pleasure, master.” Lazav bowed before planeswalking.
“It will be your turn soon…” Nicol said as a faceless figure appeared from the shadows. An arm of fire, another of water, a leg of wind and the other of wood, apart from that its whole body was a silvery metal. The creature erupted into flames at Nicol’s command and planeswalked as well.
Back in Equestria...
“Wait a second there! We are staying in a library, which happens to be a tree, which happens to be your house?” Ral asked in disbelief.
“Yes, I don’t get what’s so weird about it.” Twilight replied as they got off the train having arrived to Ponyville.
“I have mixed feelings about this. I’m excited because it’s a library, I’m confused because it’s a tree, and I don’t really know what else to think because it’s your home. On the other hand, part of me just wants to laugh at the ridiculousness of the situation. I think I’m gonna go with the last one.” Ral said as he burst into laughter.
“It’s not weird, it’s just a library tree.” Twilight muttered.
“But in all seriousness though, you don’t have to do this. I can planeswalk and spend the night in Ravnica, and I doubt Xerath here has any need for shelter.” Ral said.
“But I insist. Walking across the planes of existence should be very tiring and I thought it would be better for you to have a place to stay here.” Twilight said.
<…>
Ral was now lying in the bed Twilight gave him. “Whatever is happening in Ravnica… I’m sure this will be more interesting.” He said with a grin before drifting to sleep.

Late night meeting and some new friends...
It was mid-night, one of the most peaceful times of the day. Xerath, not having the need to sleep, often used the night as a time for reflection, a time to think of all that had happened before he was where he was at the moment. “Getting help from miniature colorful ponies and a destructive human who claims to be able to walk the planes… *sigh* Why is this happening to me?”
To anyone passing by, all they saw was a black metal structure, oblivious to the arcane being inside. “That summoner… Who was he? How did he bring me here? And why?” Xerath began wondering. He was interrupted however as a dark blue alicorn approached him. Xerath assumed that it was Celestia’s sister, who was asleep at the time he and Ral arrived to the plane.
“Greetings.” Xerath said as he separated the parts of his sarcophagus, revealing his ‘body’ again. “You must be Princess Luna.” He turned towards the alicorn, whose expression was one of surprise.
“How do you know who I am?” She asked.
“Your sister has told me of how you contribute to this world by raising the moon. It is a pleasure to meet you.” He said.
“My sister told me of you, arcane being. It’s a pleasure to meet you too.” She replied. “So… For how long have you been imprisoned?”
“I have been in this sarcophagus for a long time. Civilizations rose and fell, eons passed, and with them everyone’s memory of me. There I was, imprisoned and forgotten by fools who feared what they could not understand. But they’ve all turned to dust. As for me… My power is eternal!” He said, crackling with energy. “I know every single spell, I am the very essence of magic, but still I am encased in this prison!” He then let out a ghostly scream in a mix of anger and agony.
Luna grew a bit scared at the outburst and backed away a few steps. “Is everything alright?” She slowly and carefully asked. The sparks coming from his body were starting to disappear as he calmed down. He let out a sigh.
“I just hope that reckless mage manages to find a way out. It’s been so long since I’ve been free.” He said.
“Well, from what I heard both the elements of harmony and that mage are going to work on setting you free. I can’t promise anything, but the elements of harmony are very strong by themselves and combined with that mage, whom my sister identified as very powerful, should be able to get you out of that ‘prison’” Luna said reassuringly.
“Let us hope that is true.” Xerath muttered before turning back into the black metal monolith, floating outside the library.
<…>
Ral Zarek, woke up with a jump. “Oh shit! This is bad, THIS IS REALLY FUCKING BAD!” He ran over to his elemental gauntlet, and equipped it. “I need to go Twilight, thanks for letting me stay here. Goodbye!” He quickly said running out the door. Outside he ran into Rainbow Dash and Xerath.
“What’s up Ral?” She asked.
“Look you two, I have no time for this. I have to get back to Ravnica immediately, don’t worry though Xerath, I will be back in time to help you.” With that he began glowing brightly, disappearing a few seconds later.
“What the hay was that all about?” Twilight asked, going outside.
“All I understood was that he had business in Ravnica but he would be back to help me.” Xerath said.
“Well you could explain that name you told me yesterday.” Twilight said.
“You mean Shaco? He’s a champion from the League of Legends back on Valoran.” Xerath replied.
“Can you give me a more ‘in-depth’ explanation, if you don’t mind.” Twilight said, slightly annoyed.
“On the world of Runeterra, in the island of Valoran there are several city-states. Two of them: Noxus and Demacia, were constantly fighting. After the second Rune war some of the most powerful mages in Valoran, called summoners, noticed that the environment would not take much more, so they created the League of Legends.”
“In the League, champions, either joining to represent their city-states or for their own reasons, fight in the fields of justice to settle all disputes in a controlled matter. The summoners have developed a spell to avoid any casualties on the fields, allowing them to keep using this process to, sort of peacefully, resolve all fights.”
“Is there anything else you can tell me?” Twilight asked, her curiosity unmatched by anything Xerath had ever seen.
“You better sit down, for there is a lot more.” Xerath said, before going into the specifics of the League.
<…>
“What the hell is happening? Everything’s so… peaceful.” Ral muttered as he walked through Ravnica.
“In what plane have you been yesterday?” He heard a female voice ask from behind him. He turned around seeing an elf with blonde hair and in white clothes.
“How do you know that, Emmara?” Ral asked the elf.
“The fact that you don’t know what happened along with your sudden disappearances every two weeks.” Emmara answered with a warm smile. “But to answer any further questions. I won the maze. With the power I got from the maze in co-operation with the other guilds’ guildmasters I have managed to create a climate of peace in Ravnica, where every guild plays an important part on its functioning, much like a new Guildpact.”
“Wow… I must say I’m really impressed with this. Congratulations on winning the maze, you probably used that power in a better way than any of the other guilds.” Ral said looking around and glad about the lack of violence.
“Thank you… but, if I might know, what exactly did you come to Ravnica for?” Emmara asked.
“I came to check on the maze situation, but I guess that’s sorted out. With that out of the way I think I’ll just go to Nivix to get some equipment.” He answered.
“Before you go, do you mind helping me?” She asked.
Ral raised an eyebrow. “What do you need help with?” He asked back.
“Well, the reward for completing the maze was… the spark. I would really appreciate it if you could help me in controlling my new abilities.” She said.
“Well, I have to get back to that plane soon… meet me here in about two hours. I will help you, while on my way back to Equestria.” Ral said.
“Alright see you then.” Emmara waved goodbye as Ral started running towards Nivix.

“So Xerath went missing?” A man with brown hair asked. One of his arms was almost completely covered in steel and he wore a brown trench coat, adorned with golden gears and red fabric. Standing beside him was a yordle with a huge blonde afro in a lab coat.
“Indeed. Some summoners tried to track his magical signature down, but he just disappeared off this world.” The yordle said. Both stood in front of a massive machine. “Are you sure you’re ready for this Jayce?” The man picked up a golden hammer, which lay on a table.
“Hit it Heimer.” He said. The yordle, made sure that Jayce was ready, pushed a button on his controller. The center of the machine started glowing in a light blue. “It seems like it’s working properly.” Jayce said. The machine then begun shaking violently, sending Jayce to the ground. “What is happening?”
“It appears there’s something interfering with the coordinates.” Heimer said trying to shut down the machine.
“So that means I’m going to a random dimension, right?” Jayce asked, trying to get on his feet.
“I’m afraid so. Be safe friend, I will try to rebuild it to bring you back.” Heimer said.
“It was nice knowing you Heimer.” Jayce said with a smile before being engulfed by the light. It glowed so bright, Heimer had to cover his eyes. When he took his arm out of the way he saw how damaged the machine was.
“Oh dear…”

There’s only one song I can think of to describe my situation.” Jayce said, floating in a chaotic void. Every second was a torture. He felt as if every atom of his body was going in a different direction, he felt like he was being ripped apart. “I wonder how Cho’ Gath, Kog’ Maw ad Kha’ Zix survive in here.” He muttered.
A few seconds later, which seemed like an eternity, he heard very faint voices before he felt like he was grabbed and dragged to somewhere. Being tuckered out from the ‘torture’ he didn’t bother fighting back, as he let unconsciousness take him.

“And that’s about it.” Xerath finished his explanation on the specifics of the League and Valoran.
“Wow, that was amazing! Wait… what tribe of Freljord won the war?” Twilight asked.
“It is not over yet so it is impossible for me to announce the winner.” Xerath answered.
As Twilight was about to talk, a flash of light interrupted them. “Hey there.” Ral greeted. By his side was Emmara and an unconscious Jayce.
“Who’s the elf? And why is Jayce here?” Xerath asked.
“I am Emmara, I am a healer part of the Selesnya Conclave. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” She said with a warm smile.
“So this guy’s name is Jayce? We just found him floating around in the Blind Eternities with this hammer thingy. Apparently a magical aura from some machine saved him from death.” Ral said, laying Jayce down on the grass and giving him a small shock with his magic, bringing Jayce back to the world of the conscious.
“Huh? Wha- What happened?” He stuttered out.
“You’re in a new world.” Xerath said.
“I can recognize that deep ghostly voice anywhere! Xerath you’re here!” Jayce exclaimed.
“Yes I am. The events which led to my appearance here are still shrouded in mystery though. But my question is, how did you get here?” Xerath asked.
“Me and Heimer were working on an inter-dimensional teleporter but it went haywire. Next thing I knew, I was in the void.” Jayce said.
“You were not in the place you call the void. You were on the Blind Eternities, the space between planes.” Ral said.
“Interesting… But do you mind telling me who you two are?” Jayce asked.
“Name’s Ral Zarek, Izzet guildmage. Nice to meet you.” Ral shook Jayce’s hand.
“And I’m Emmara, a healer from the Selesnya Conclave. It’s always nice to meet a new person.” Emmara introduced herself.
“Nice to meet you too. My name is Jayce, known as the defender of tomorrow amongst summoners.” Jayce said before turning towards Xerath, seeing the purple unicrn standing in front of the arcane being.
“Hi my name is Twilight Sparkle. It’s a pleasure to meet you Mr. Jayce.” She said.
“Never seen a unicorn before… new dimension, new rules I guess.” Jayce said shrugging. “It is nice to meet you anyway.”

“Their numbers are increasing master Nicol.” Lazav said. “This day they’ve gotten two very powerful reinforcements. Jayce, the defender of tomorrow and Emmara, a Selesnyan healer. I recommend you to take action soon.” Lazav said to the dragon.
“All in due time Lazav. When you live for as long as I have, you learn that timing is essential, and you also learn when the right time is. Your advice was taken into account but remember… I know exactly what I’m doing.” Nicol said as the lights in the cave he stood intensified, due to the progress on the research made by his minions.
Infinity Wars Book 1: The Cult
“So is this whole place inhabited by ponies?” Jayce asked.
“Not really. There are also griffons, dragons, maticores and plenty other beings.” Twilight answered.
“Yeah whatever, I’m just gonna search for a place where I can setup my lab. See ya’ later!” Ral said checking the monitor of a small gadget.
“I think I know of a place, If you follow me I can take you there!” Twilight said.
“Thanks I guess. But by the way, how far is the nearest house to the place you are talking about?” Ral asked.
“About nine-hundred meters.” She replied. “Why?”
“Let’s just say that distance might, emphasis on might, be safe.” Ral said, causing Twilight’s eyes to widen.
“What are you going to do?” She asked fearfully.
“The Izzet League without explosions is like an ocean with no water. Said explosions are a side effect of science.” Ral answered.
“Maybe you should be a bit careful with that. You don’t want to harm anyone or destroy anything, do you?” Emmara asked.
“Of course not, I’m not part of the Rakdos! I’m a man of science, and it’s inevitable to have lab accidents! I just have a lot of them!” Ral exclaimed.
“Fine then, I’ll take you to the place.” Twilight said.
“Do you mind if I come too?” Jayce asked, drawing the attention to him. “As a man of science myself I would also like to go with you.”
“I don’t see a problem with that, what about you Twilight?” Ral asked.
“Sure, why not? It’s this way.” She said, and with that, the group of three walked off.
“So I guess it’s just us now?” Xerath said.
“Apparently… You’re made of arcane energy aren’t you?” Emmara asked.
“Your point?” He asked, confused as to the elf’s motivation to ask that.
“Oh it’s nothing, but, if you don’t mind me asking, what’s that rune for?” She asked back, pointing at the rune holding the sarcophagus together.
“It’s a seal. A seal to encase my true power. The mages of Shurima were afraid of how I would use my magic, so they put me in this sarcophagus.” Xerath said.
“Yet I feel that you’re completely devoid of the need for revenge. How come?” Emmara asked.
“I have no need for petty things such as revenge. Time has turned the mages of Shurima to dust, and only I remain. My lack of need for revenge prevents my rage from eating me up from inside.” He answered.
“Oh, I see… What do you want to do now?” Emmara asked.

“This is the place.” Twilight said as they arrived at a large clearing.
“Alright, just step back and I can start.” Ral said, both Jayce and Twilight did so. Ral began channeling mana from the terrain, strands of energy coming out of the ground and going into him. One by one machines of all sorts began appearing, soon followed by a concrete floor and walls, and finished with a glass roof, to let the light in.
Ral fell to his knees, panting for air, utterly exhausted. “Are you alright?” Jayce asked kneeling next to Ral.
“Don’t worry *cough* I’m fine. I just *cough* need some time to *cough* recover.” He slowly said.
“On the bright side, the lab is built.” Jayce noted.
“It’s impressive how you just summoned an entire lab from nothing!” Twilight said in awe.
“All mages of the Izzet are prepared for emergency experimenting, resulting in having to build a lab on the spot.” Ral said with a grin, slowly getting up with Jayce’s help.
“Impressive.” Jayce said.
“Thanks for the help but I think I’m good enough now.” Ral said as Jayce stepped back and let Ral stand by himself. A mettalical roar came from behind them. “YOU MUST BE FUCKING KIDDING ME!” Ral bellowed as an elemental creature appeared with a flash of light. It was the same creature to who Nicol was talking to before. None of the beings currently residing in Equestria, however, had no idea of the dragon’s presence.
“Stand back Ral and Twilight, I got this!” Jayce said, picking up his hammer.
“The hell I am standing back!” With a thrust of his arm upward a lightning bolt fell upon him. Twilight, Jayce and the creature watched as Ral began crackling with electricity, charged from the lightning bolt.
“What just happened?” Twilight fearfully asked.
“I can make a lightning bolt fall on me, super charging my gauntlet and giving me increased physical capabilities. Shocking, isn’t it?” Ral said smirking at his pun. He was cut off as another lightning bolt fell, this time on Jayce.
“Transformation complete!” He shouted as his hammer transformed into an energy cannon.
“Woah…” Ral looked at the cannon. “That’s awesome!”
“Thank you, but I believe we have other things to worry about.” Jayce pointed with his head towards the creature.
“Why didn’t it attack yet? It had the perfect opportunity!” Ral exclaimed.
BOSS BATTLE
RAL ZAREK & JAYCE VS. ELEMENTAL GOLEM
“I don’t know why it didn’t attack but I’m not about to give it that chance!” Jayce shouted as he set down an energy gate and fired his cannon. The creature burst into flames as the projectile went through the gate it got ridiculously faster, impacting it and causing a medium explosion. The elemental golem, however, did not budge. “What!”
“That will not work. The only way to defeat an elemental golem is to use the opposing element or sheer physical damage. When he’s neutral only electricity works.” Ral explained. “Luckily I have at least some knowledge of elemental magic.” He then launched a torrent of water towards the golem, which shrieked in pain before changing to another element.
The wind began picking up as it began charging an attack. Within seconds, a mighty tornado appeared in front of Jayce and Ral. As they were both sucked in, the golem floated up and launched a concentrated blast of air knocking them back to the ground. It floated back to the ground and its body began glowing blue as water started to seep out of its joints.
Ral quickly got up and charged forward, summoning winds to surround his gauntlet for a devastating punch. With the super charge from the lightning bolt, the golem barely had time to react before receiving a barrage of wind empowered punches and kicks. The elemental swiftly backed away before it could take any more punishment and released the wrath of the waters against Ral. The planeswalker put against the super pressurized water, got effortlessly pushed back.
“Hammer time!” Jayce bellowed, taking the opportunity to sneak around the golem and hit it as hard as he could with his hammer, much like he did in the fields of justice. “To the skies!” He jumped as high as he could and slammed the golem with his hammer. “I’m not done yet!” He clicked a button on his hammer, causing a static field to surround him.
The golem, however, had other plans. His whole body turned into water and moved into safety where it changed element again, most of its body becoming wood. The elemental thrust its arms up and vines trapped Jayce in their embrace. Ral hurried to his aid and blasted the vines, allowing him to dodge the thorn coming his way. With Jayce safe Ral charged the golem again.
It stood there, motionless as Ral approached. When Ral was close enough it spawned a tree, blocking his path. Much to its surprise Ral burst through the tree effortlessly and punched it as hard as he could with a flaming fist. Before it had time to recover, Ral burst into flames and tackled the elemental, carrying it with him as he rocketed forwards. Suddenly Ral stopped and the golem was launched against some trees nearby, which broke from the impact and fell on top of it.
Jayce ran over to Ral and looked at the rubble in front of them, hoping it was over. He was proved wrong as the golem burst into flames, burning the trees, and sending a beam of searing heat against both. Jayce was hit in the shoulder while Ral got hit on his entire left arm. The attack seemed to weaken the golem a bit as it had gone back to neutral. “Ral! If you can still fight, now’s our chance! I’m going to fire an energy blast, try to power it as much as you can!” Jace shouted out setting up an acceleration gate.
“I can still fight! Don’t worry about me!” Ral replied. As soon as the confirmation went off Jayce fired the energy sphere through the gate. This was joined by Ral summoning all kinds of lightning magic he could muster into the blast. With blinding speed it hit the creature, creating a massive explosion and destroying it.
“Feel the thunder!” Both victoriously said in unison.
“You use that line too?” Ral asked.
“All the time!” Jayce answered, resulting in a burst of laughs from both.
“We need to get you both to the hospital immediately!” Twilight said, remembering the scientists that she was there the whole time.
“I’m fine Twilight, I’ve had much worse.” Ral reassured.
“This is nothing compared to Brand’s burns.” Jayce said.
“I don’t care! I’m getting you both to the hospital now!” Twilight said, picking both up with her magic and taking them to Ponyville.

“This is quite a nice town, reminds me of Vitu-Ghazi. In the everything is peaceful kind of way.” Emmara said as she and Xerath took a stroll through the streets of the town.
“I have to agree, this is very peaceful. Shame it won’t last for long.” Xerath said.
“What do you mean?” Emmara asked.
“Ever since my arrival here I’ve been sensing a very powerful signature, at the level I would be if I was free.” Xerath said. “But there’s something evil in this signature, so I’m afraid this peace won’t last.”
“So you mean a God or something of the sorts is going to destroy this place or something?” Emmara asked.
“I’m not sure, but it is possible. The only way we’ll stand a chance is if I’m free.” Xerath said.
“I see… But what about-” Emmara was interrupted as she heard Twilight yelling.
“Get out of my way! I need to get them to the hospital!” Twilight yelled out as she turned the corners of Ponyville. In her way she was met by Emmara and Xerath.
“Calm down Twilight! What is wrong?” Emmara asked.
“She’s scared about a little burn.” Ral answered.
“That is hardly what I call ‘a little burn’!” Twilight exclaimed.
“Calm down Twilight. I’m a healer by profession. I can take care of them, as long as you put them down.” Emmara said. Twilight complied and put them on the ground.
Emmara looked closely into Ral’s wounds. “This is actually quite serious. But I think I can heal it, just wait a second.” Strands of white and green energy surrounded Emmara as she healed the lightning mage. “There you go, all done!”
“Thanks Emmara! You’re a really talented healer!” Ral said, examining his arm.
“You’re quite welcome! As for you, defender of tomorrow.” She said with a light giggle. “This will be easy to heal.” With only a small flash of green the burn was healed. “Now… how did you two get injured like this?” Emmara asked.
“I’ll explain when we get everyone together. You know how much I hate to explain things twice.” Ral said.
Infinity Wars Book 1: The Cult
Ral Zarek sat down in front of Emmara, Xerath, Jayce and the elements of harmony. “Now that we’re all here I think we should get introductions out of the way. Everyone meet Emmara, a Selesnyan elf from Ravnica and Jayce, a scientist from a city called Piltover located on Runeterra, the same place where Xerath comes from. Emmara and Jayce, these are Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity. You can get to know each other better in a moment.”
“It’s an honor to meet you all.” Emmara said with a warm smile.
“It’s a pleasure to meet such a colorful bunch.” Jayce said with a quick salute.
“Mind explaining what got you that burn on your arm Ral?” Emmara asked.
“Two words: elemental golem. Yeah it’s an elemental golem, no biggie…” Ral said shrugging. “But there was something about it. Emmara you are a good friend of the mind mage Jace Beleren, right?”
“Yes, I am. Why do you ask that?” The elf asked.
“Did he ever mention the name Nicol Bolas?” Ral inquired.
“I… don’t quite recall.” Emmara answered.
“Nicol Bolas is an Elder Dragon, one of the only ones left. He is a planeswalker of age I can’t possibly imagine and he’s pretty much a God when it comes to power and intelligence. He has survived the Elder Dragon wars, the Planeswalker Mending and many other things. I’ve seen him in Alara and it was truly terrifying.” Ral explained.
“Your point?” Rainbow asked.
“I felt Nicol’s presence in that golem. It was nice knowing you all but we don’t stand a chance.” Ral grimly said. This caused an uproar.
“Ya’ mean there’s nothin’ we can do?” Applejack asked.
“Unless you’re omnipotent.” Ral answered.
“Maybe I can help…” All heads in the room turned towards Xerath.
“Mind explaining?” Rarity asked.
“If we manage to get me free before this ‘Nicol Bolas’ strikes then I can battle against him on equal ground.” Xerath said.
“That’s right! If we manage to destroy the rune, Xerath will be at God level too!” Jayce explained.
“But how…” Ral began pondering.
“Think later, party now!” Pinkie somehow made a cannon appear out of thin air. She immediately shot it, sending all sort of party related objects everywhere.
“Is it possible to harness Pinkie’s energy in any way?” Ral mused. He broke out of his reverie as Jayce pointed his cannon to Ral’s face and began charging a projectile. As Ral was about to dodge the energy ball, it exploded into confetti.
“Ha! Did I scare ya’?” Jayce asked with a grin. Ral burst into laughter.
“Good one! But you do know I’m gonna get you back someday right?” Ral asked.
“I didn’t expect less.” Jayce answered.
“Well… let’s party then!” Ral shouted.

Pyr, fortress of the Flame Dawn. The Flame Dawn, a faction of soldiers led by Aberion, the hammer of dawn, said to be unbeatable in battle. Since the truth was found about the Calamity that destroyed the Old World and the other dimensions this faction has been ever expanding, conquering many dimensions with ease, and forging a large empire.
Within the past few years, however, the losses were too great and Aberion decided to create an alliance.
One of the members of the Infinity Alliance, the Genesis industries, was a faction that focused on technology and science. The Genesis, led by Orion, master architect, eagerly took the request for an alliance, as one of their major concerns was peace and the safety of their citizens.
When it was time to battle, even wanting peace, the Genesis were fierce warriors, focusing on creating the perfect soldier through their robotics and wiping their enemies out with it.
The other member of the Infinity Alliance was known as The Descendants of the Dragon. This faction, living in Reish, the same world as the Verore Cult, perfected the art of defense, using it to deplete the enemy’s morale and forcing them to retreat.
The sage council was very interested in the alliance, as any friends would be useful against the Verore and the currently rising faction of the undead known as the Sleepers of Avarrach.
The Verore Cult, death worshippers and dark magic users. They reside in Reish, seeking magic so dark that it would lead to their world’s destruction. They use spells revolving around death to deplete the opponent’s troops and finishing off their enemy with demons of all sorts. They are led by Aleta, the immortal sorceress, who cares little for the spreading darkness on her world.
The Warpath is not so much a faction as a collective understanding by the beasts of the Old World that they must fight back against the intruders. Named not by themselves, but by the invaders from the other dimensions upon seeing the horror of hundreds of massive beasts bearing down on them with killing intent, “being caught on the warpath” is a horror story passed between all the would-be conquerors of the Old World.
Seeing their intent only protecting their home land, Aberion decided not to meddle in their business.
Last there are the Sleepers of Avarrach. Once a blooming society of people with nanobot enhancements now diminished to a slumbering faction of undead. One day, centuries ago, a nanobot virus was unleashed upon the world: one that would take over the host’s body, killing it, then aggressively spread to each nearby nanobot.
The world of Avarrach turned into a nightmare. Within three days, 90% of the world turned into unthinking husks, the human host dead, but animated by the nanobot technologies embedded in their body. The survivors, those without augmentations, fought as best they could, but soon were overwhelmed. The nanobots took over their bodies and they too joined the undead horde.
Aberion never showed any interest in siding with these evil factions.
Agent Coyle, the youngest general of the Flame Dawn army, a soldier who moves with blinding speed across the battlefield, taking down anyone in his way. He would deliver three strikes during the time most soldiers delivered one.
He walked peacefully through the streets of Pyr, His fiery hair blowing in the breeze as he kept a hand on his sword because of the force of habit. His red trench coat was covered in by a copper chest plate, his armor had to be this light for him to keep his speed. His walk was interrupted by a soldier at the lowest rank in the Flame Dawn army, an aspirant.
“General Coyle!” The aspirant exclaimed saluting.
“Is anything wrong?” Coyle asked giving a salute of his own.
“A rift opened about five blocks away to the east!” The aspirant said with worry. Coyle’s eyes widened at this piece of information.
“What world does it lead to?” Coyle asked.
“I don’t know, sir! I left as soon as it opened to find a high ranking officer such as yourself! I have no information on the status of the other soldiers there!” The aspirant informed.
“I’m going to the rift! You find Aberion and tell him of this rift immediately!” Coyle ordered.
“Sir, yes sir!” The aspirant left towards Aberion’s castle as Coyle ran east, towards the rift.
Within a short time he was there. He saw several soldiers around the rift, but there was no battle. As he approached the soldiers they stood at attention. “Status report, now!” He ordered.
“We have concluded that this rift neither leads to Genesis, Avarrach nor Reish due to the lush green hills. It may be another world completely, sir!” A Flame Dawn knight said, his pistol resting in its holster and the knife inside the sheath.
“We can’t deny the possibility of being in the Descendants part of Reish, or the Old World.” Coyle declared.
“What do we do now, general?” An aspirant asked.
“We wait for Supreme Commander Aiberon, he’ll give us our orders when he arrives.” Coyle answered. “Well… how’s the misses doing Jakob?” He asked the knight.
“She’s doing just fine. How about you, any luck on the lady hunt?” Jakob asked.
“Nah, they don’t like a man who’s constantly fighting.” Coyle answered. An aspirant looked at them both very confused. “You’re new here aren’t you?”
“Yes I am, sir!” The aspirant answered, standing at attention.
“Cut that military crap. There are times to be friendly and there are times to be a soldier! Ease up a bit, we’re all friends here! What’s your name?” Coyle asked.
“I’m Charles.” The soldier answered.
“Any girlfriend, wife, or anything of the sorts?” Coyle inquired
“Not really, I’m not that good with women.” Charles said.
“Charles, one of these days, I’m going to teach you how to live. And when I do, I promise it will be legen-wait for it-dary!” Coyle exclaimed.
A few minutes later a man with glowing red eyes and dark brown hair appeared. A hammer with a symbol of a sun was attached to his belt. At his approach all stood at attention. “At ease men! Tell me, where does this rift lead to?” He asked.
“We are not sure, but it either is the Old World, the Descendants part of Reish or another world.” Coyle answered.
“Very well. General Coyle, you will go ahead and scout the land. Me and the other soldiers will start setting up camp in case we are needed. If it is a different world and you find sentient life forms, try to be diplomatic. If that doesn’t work, I believe you’re a good enough soldier to fend off for yourself.” Aberion said.
“Sir, yes sir!” Came the collective approval of the plan. Coyle immediately left through the rift as the other soldiers got plenty materials to build a campsite on the other side.

“Master Nicol, the golem failed. It even made them aware of your presence.” Lazav said.
“Just as planned.” Nicol replied. “Soon they will figure it out, and my plan will be complete. I will have as much power as I had before the Mending.”
“That’s cute and all but I thought we were discussing an alliance.” A woman in purple robes said, on her hand was a wooden staff with a green gem.
“You do not show such disrespect to my master!” Lazav drew his dagger and stopped just short of cutting the woman’s throat.
“That will do nothing, Lazav. Aleta is immortal after all.” Nicol said.
“Well, if what you said is true, then the Flame Dawn are in the world you want to conquer. All I ask of you is some help in dealing with them. And taking into account you are able to control the nanobots on the Sleepers I believe that it will be enough to defeat their puny Infinity Alliance.” Aleta said.
“Very well, I shall grant you this help, assuming that I can count on you to help take care of the elements.” Nicol replied.
“You won’t be disappointed…” Aleta vanished into a veil of darkness.

“Come on! That wasn’t fair!” Ral Zarek exclaimed.
“Yes it was, you should learn the rules!” Rainbow replied
“I can’t believe I’m being beat at Battleship by a rainbow-maned pegasus!” Ral facepalmed as his aircraft carrier got sunk. “I literally analyzed every possible situation and she wins by attaching a mirror to her wing! Seriously, where in the rules, says that is allowed?”
“Where does it say it isn’t?” Rainbow asked with a smirk.
“Calm down Ral, it’s just a game.” Emmara said as she ate a cupcake.
“The Izzet have invented a very cool thing.” Ral declared, suddenly calm.
“What is it?” Rainbow asked.
“It’s called table flipping!” He exclaimed as he flipped the board. “Screw this, I’m hungry!” He said as he headed towards the treat table Pinkie somehow set up without anyone noticing. Emmara just shrugged it off and continued talking to Fluttershy, animals as the recurring theme.
“Wow, talk about a sore loser.” Rainbow taunted.
Meanwhile on the other side of the room Jayce talked to Rarity and Applejack. “So what do ya’ do in this Piltover place?” Applejack inquired.
“I’m an inventor, nothing too special.” He said.
“Don’t the people of Piltover consider you a hero?” Xerath asked interrupting his conversation with Twilight and Pinkie.
“Yes, but I’m not a hero for doing what anyone would do.” Jayce humbly said.
“What exactly did you do?” Rarity asked.
“I took down a lab from a person called Viktor. He was developing weapons that could change the future of Runeterra for the worse, so I stopped him.” Jayce said.
“FOR THE LAST TIME, PINKIE! I CANNOT CREATE AN INFINITE NUMBER OF PARTY SUPPLIES!” Xerath bellowed attracting all attention to himself.
“Correction: you cannot do so, at the moment.” Ral corrected the arcane being.
“What he said. As for your question Twilight, I will not reveal how to ascend for your own safety. When I ascended I had to go through losses you cannot imagine, and I’m certain that you’re not prepared for it.” Xerath said.
“Oh dear, look at the time!” Emmara exclaimed.
“Let us hope my lab can double as a house.” Ral said, stretching himself.
“There’s no need for that! I have room for you here. I don’t have enough for Jayce and Emmara, tough.” Twilight said.
“Emmara could stay with me, if that’s okay with her.” Fluttershy said.
“Why thank you Fluttershy.” Emmara thanked the shy pony.
“And Jayce could stay with me.” Rarity said.
“Don’t see why not! Thank you.” He looked at her and winked, resulting on a giggle from the mare.
“Well, now that’s taken care of, I guess it’s time to say good night.” Ral concluded as everyone said their goodbyes.
Infinity Wars Book 1: The Cult
Infinity Alliance to the rescue!
Coyle literally blazed his way through the path in front of him. “This is boring. I expected to see some sort of civilization a while ago. Those lucky guys can just teleport in when I get there.” He keeps going until he sees a mountain. “Well, would ya’ look at that. Let’s investigate!” He immediately dashed towards the mountain.
Upon arriving to a certain point of the mountain he spotted a gate with two… “Are those ponies? Are those white ponies in armor? How does that even surprise me, for God’s sake Hehkeem is like an anthropomorphized lion or whatever that is!” He ducked behind a rock. “I saw a castle so this city is probably important but how do I get in? Okay Coyle, what are your options? 1: Go there and talk, hopefully getting in… Not one of my fortes. 2: Sneak past… Sneakiness ain’t my type. 3: Run so fast they can’t stop me… Sounds like a plan!”
Coyle got out of cover and ran as fast as he can, being ordered to stop upon sight. He simply kept running and jumped up the gate. “Gotta go fast!” He landed with a somersault and dashed towards the castle, the ponies following him.
Upon arriving to the castle he sees another gate. “Got about 20 guards behind me… Let’s do this!” His legs caught on fire as he ran even faster. Suddenly, as the guards prepared to stop him at the gate, he used his speed to seemingly teleport to the other side. “See ya’ later suckers!” He continued running.
“Coming through!” Coyle runs through the halls of the castle, about 50 guards currently following him. As soon as he can do so away from the guards’ sight he entered a room, trying to escape his followers. Little to no surprise he had when he saw more guards in that room. There were two other ponies, however, who got his attention. Two winged unicorns, one white and the other dark blue. They were taller than the other ones and had several adornments. “Huh… Hi?”
“Who are you, and what are you doing here?” Celestia asked.
“Name’s Coyle, codename: Firestarter. I am a general of the Flame Dawn army and I came here because my leader has sent me to propose an alliance.” Coyle answered.
“How did you get all the way here without my knowledge?” Celstia inquired.
“Your guards are not very fast are they?” Coyle grinned. “But I guess you would want to talk to Aberion so…” He takes out a small flat circular device and sets it on the ground. “Now we wait.”
“What do you mean we wait? You barge into our throne room completely disregarding our guards and now you want us to trust you out of the blue? I’m afraid that isn’t going to happen?” Celestia snapped at Coyle and readied her horn.
“Please calm down. Whatever idiocy Coyle has done does not represent the Infinity Alliance. I am Aberion, Hammer of Dawn. It is a pleasure to meet you.” Aberion said as he materialized into the room.
“Explain yourself this instant! What is happening?” Luna demanded.
“Very well. War is coming to your land. The cult of Verore is mobilizing their army and somehow they have managed to take control of the undead faction we call Sleepers of Averrach. We have been at war with those death cultists for long and harsh years and now they are coming this way. “
“Luckily for you the Infinity Alliance always appreciates having more factions to help. If you supply us with troops and resources we shall do the same for you. That is our proposition. Now… may I know who you are?” Aberion asked.
“My name is Celestia, and this is my sister Luna, we are the rulers of Equestria. But can you explain to me who is part of this alliance? And what can they do to protect Equestria?” Celestia was genuinely interested now.
“On our side we have the Descendants of the Dragon from Jinhai. Led by the sage council Daode, Yuanshi and Lingbao, they come from the same world as the cult and they perfected the art of defense which allowed them to resist their demonic forces.”
“We also have the Genesis Industries, masters of technology. Under the command of Orion they have thrived for a long time with their vast knowledge of science and machinery. They are capable of creating the strongest soldiers available, given enough time.”
“As for us, the Flame Dawn, led by myself. We are an army of millions brilliant on the offensive aspect, striking down our enemies without giving them a chance to react. We can overwhelm whoever we are fighting against very quickly but we become weaker once they get defenses up.” Aberion concluded.
“And do you have proof that this cult is coming?” Celestia inquired.
“A scout of Jinhai has spotted several Verore squads mobilizing to a rift. Upon further analysis we have realized that the rift leads to this world. And in the slight chance we are wrong, allies are still a good thing to have.” He responded.
“That scout found all that while I was gone? Not bad.” Coyle pointed out.
“I believe we should discuss this for a while. We shall contact you when we have reached a decision.” Luna declared.
“Very well, our alliance has set camp at the bottom of this mountain. We will await news regarding this subject. Let’s go Coyle.” Aberion walks out
“Aye aye, sir!” Coyle says as he follows the Supreme Commander. Before they leave the throne room, however, they hear a beeping noise. “I think that’s yours.”
Aberion presses a button in his gauntlet and lifts it in front of his face. An holographic picture of Orion appearing. “Aberion we’ve detected a Verore assault squad near your position. We would send some soldiers but we’re still on the road and not at all close.”
“Roger that, Orion.” He turned to Celestia. “Where is the nearest town?”
“Ponyville, at the bottom of the mountain. Why do you ask?” She answered.
Instead of replying Aberion looked at Coyle, who simply nodded and ran off. As for the leader of the Flame Dawn… “Be wary of your surroundings, the cult is capable of incredible feats of magical power.” He ran off after his warning.

“It’s so peaceful out here in the forest.” Emmara said as she was walking along with Fluttershy and Xerath. “I’m still confused as to why you came.” She told the ascendant.
“I have reasons I shall not reveal that easily.” Xerath replied.
“What is so special about it that you can’t tell us?” The Selesnian asked.
“I will not reveal my motives and that’s that!” The arcane being exclaimed.
Fluttershy didn’t step in the discussion, fearing what the ascendant could do if pushed too far. It didn’t take long, however, until she felt something grab her from behind and throwing her into a cage before running off. She wasn’t sure about what was happening but she knew it was bad. Luckily for her, Xerath noticed this and launched a lightning bolt at the masked man in purple clothes, killing him and opening the cage.
“I knew it…” She heard him say. “Group up near me, I knew from the beginning there was something wrong.” He ordered as he shielded himself from a purple beam of energy coming from a nearby tree.
“Lightbulb be stronger than expected.” A huge humanoid creature comes out of the forest, followed by humans in purple robes. Xerath’s body flickered.
“Did you just… call me A LIGHTBULB?” Sparks of arcane energy were released everywhere around as Xerath’s rage was building up. The thing just laughed.
“Is lightbulb getting mad? Boo-hoo!” With that taunt, the humanoid smashed his giant axe against the ones in front of him. Before Xerath could even react, the axe was parried by a sword.
“Easy there brute, you already have enough brain damage without me giving you more.” Coyle grinned.
“Little man does not have right to talk!” The Verorian swung his axe again but, as it was about to impact Coyle, he disappeared.
“I know your brain is small but even you should know better.” All eyes went to the branch Coyle was on top of.
“Get the Firestarter, he is our priority now!” One of the humans declared before launching a lightning blast against the Flame Dawn general.
As it got closer, Coyle only smiled. As it almost hit he disappeared again, this time appearing in front of one of his assailants. Immediately he cut the cultist in half. His eyes analyzed the battlefield, marking his targets and dodging their spells as they tried to desperately get rid of him. Dashing through anything they threw at him, Coyle killed a few more cultists before the brute caught him distracted. Only being capable of dodging the blade, Coyle was still hit by the sheer brute force on in the strike, launching him against a tree.
“Hahaha! What will little man do now?” The brute taunted as he approached the wounded Firestarter.
“This.” When the brute turned around to see the source of the voice he got slammed in the face by a hammer.
“It’s the Hammer of Dawn, we don’t have a chance!” A cultist exclaimed.
“Retreat!” Another completed as they began running away.
As his fists collided, Aberion summoned a wall of flames to prevent the Verorians from escaping. “Now where were we?” He asked as the cultists shrank in fear. “Oh right…” The Hammer of Dawn then proceeded to clearing off the rest of them.
“I believe introductions are in order.” Coyle grins as he looked towards the cowardly pony, the Selesnian healer and the stoic arcane mage. “What’s your name, Sparky?”
“Sparky?” Xerath asked with another twitch of his energy. “I am Xerath, an ascended magus of the Shurima desert. I am more powerful than you can imagine!”
“I don’t doubt that.” Aberion said. “What about you... elf, is it?”
“Yes I am an elf.” The healer confirmed. “But before telling you anything it would be good to know who you are.”
“Of course. My name is Aberion, leader of the Flame Dawn and this is Coyle, the fastest soldier we have and Son of the Summer Flame.” Aberion introduced both of the Pyrians.
“There are still a lot of things to be cleared but I assume you are on our side. My name is Emmara, healer of the Selesnya Conclave and this is Fluttershy… this show of violence might have frightened her.” Emmara pointed at the pony, currently curled in a ball and covering her eyes.
“Relax, we’re on your side. And you better get used to it. We’re gonna find a lot more Verorians soon.” Coyle said.
“Not helping at all.” The elf deadpanned.
“Just telling the truth. Hey Aberion is the camp set yet?” Coyle asked his leader.
“Almost there, we should get going.” Was the answer.
“What are you talking about?” Xerath interrupted.
“Come with us. Everything will be explained. And if there is anyone you consider would be useful in war go call them. We want to warn this world’s greatest defenses as soon as possible.” Aberion warns as he walks away.

Yes, I do realize a bunch of the MtG lore is wrong. I didn't read the Secretist before writing because Ral just looked too awesome, but that's not what this is about. This story, from now on is AU for two reasons:
-What I said above;
-It took me 4 frikin' months of Infinity Wars to figure out the Genesis world actually had an official name already and to figure out that they live in the same place as the Flame Dawn
This should clear up a few things.
