Discord's Father

  (One thousand three years later)

  "Well Discord? What am I really going to have to say it? Fine it looks like I told you so just doesn't seem to cover it. But it was cute how you thought you could hide from me. No really it was. I would have never thought my own son would be in a world that looks like it came right out of a little girl's dream. Bravo it through me off but in the end you have a job to do back home."

  "I won't go back with you, not now, not ever! I like these ponies they're my friends!"

  "And yet they turned you into stone? Some friends. Discord you know I don't have any reason to lie to you. Besides none of them really care about you."

  "That's not true! My friend Fluttershy cares! Everyday she asks me how I'm doing! She is my friend! There I caught you lying! Ha!"

  "She only cares because she was forced to. Are you really that dense? How can you be so stupid? Listen to me Discord are you really free?"

  "Yes I use my powers for good, by my own free will. You should know all about free will."

  "Still you're denied to be who you truly are."

  "Father you're wrong, this place is good to me. I have friends that care about me. They show me how life is worth living not destroying! I have found happiness, and you just want to take that away from me! Sure me and Celestia don't see eye to eye sometimes but hey you know what? She's also my friend! They all are. And I'm happy to know they care."

  "Then look at it this way if you will. If Fluttershy still felt how she did when she first met you? Think she would even bat an eyelash at you? No she wouldn't. Admit it you are just a burden to these ponies that's all!"

  Discord awoke in cold sweat dripping from his brow, gasping for air. The sound of hoof hitting the floor outside his room. His thoughts churned out the only possibility that could happen. 'Fluttershy coming to check up on me.' And he called it.

  "Discord are you okay? I was making some tea until I heard you screaming so I came up here as fast as I could to make sure if you were alright... I mean if that's ok with you." Fluttershy said with a hint of worry in her sweet voice. Concern written across her face, secured Discord's faith in his new friend.

  "Just  a bad dream my dear, that's all it was." Shaking himself off his bed, he leaned down to Fluttershy giving her a hug. "I just want to thank you for being such a great friend Fluttershy."
