Chapter 1: Meaningful Discoveries
(Quick note, before any other Minecrafters out there say anything, I know the Wither skeleton doesn’t have a bow and arrow, it just makes it more interesting if it does, now enjoy, p.s. It takes quite some time to get into Equestria so just a heads up)
Chapter 1: Meaningful Discoveries
“Come out, come out, where ever you are mister Wither Skeleton” I quietly whispered to the screen as I stalked through the Nether to find my third and final Wither Skeleton. So far I had been searching for around a half hour finding the first two Wither Skeletons without much of a problem, but the third being far more difficult to find.
This entire time I had been searching for these OP skeletons so I may finally fight and defeat the fabled Wither. It being one of the most difficult challenges to overcome in Minecraft since the new update got me excited since Minecraft had been getting boring lately. “Hmm maybe if I just get off for the night and come back tomorrow I’ll have a better chance of finding another Skeleton.” I said mentally, glancing to my clock. It read 2:30 AM.
“Oh yea time to go to bed” I said turning back to my computer screen only to reveal the prized Wither Skeleton that I had been after all this time, a small ways in the distance I began to slowly and quietly sneak up on it. Drawing my bow I took aim and fired, it quickly realized my presence, dodging my arrow it fired its own arrow with deadly accuracy hitting me straight in my chest, knocking me off the netherrack platform I was on, and down to the lava below. “Oh hell no” I mentally cursed as I swerved off to the left and landed on a small piece of soul sand out in the middle of the searing lava, the fall knocking out five of my hearts even with diamond armor.
I looked back up to see the Wither Skelton looking town to me and firing it’s cursed arrows at me, attempting to doge them I place a block to walk on and quickly sprinted off back onto the mainland of netherrack. The skeleton still wanted to fight apparently even risking jumping down to me, and jump down to me it did momentarily stunning it. I took this chance to draw my diamond sword and began sprinting towards this creature from hell quickly dodging left and right narrowly avoiding the volley of arrows it sent down range at me. Until finally I was within striking distance, I took one swing and struck it, sending it flying back. It in turn shot another arrow straight into my chest once more, it’s wither effect lasting until I was to one and a half hearts.
“This ends now” I mentally spat as I drew my bow once more, firing a single shot into the creature’s head killing it and dropping its prized possession, its head. Quickly picking the XP and head up I high tailed it back to my portal and went back to the normal world, collecting four pieces of soul sand on the way back.
Glancing back to my clock I noticed it was 3:15 am, “Pshh who needs sleep anyway” I said with glee finally happy to have all three Wither Skeleton heads. I quickly went to work on setting up the area where the epic boss fight would take place, finally ending as I stacked the four soul sand, two pieces going straight up and two on either side, lastly I put two of the heads on putting the last one at the feet of the creepy statue like figure, first before the battle should start I would have to enchant my weapons and armor.
Going back to my home I quickly enchanted my armor, my bow, and my now OP diamond sword. Stepping outside once more yielded the dark landscapes, as the sun had set long ago and night had come to shroud the land in darkness. Not wanting to wait any longer I began the trek out into the wilderness until I came upon the battle ground. A large flat area with several hollowed out mounds of dirt to hide in from the Wither’s exploding head, and there in the middle of the grassy arena was the statue, I broke the head that lye on the ground and quickly slipped it in between the two other two heads.
The statue of the creature began to shake violently as it began to slowly move its heads. The soul sand turned into a disturbingly black ribcage as the creature began to float into the air. Before long the creature was now hovering in the air, all of its heads were trained onto me, this is it, now the real battle begins. Drawing my bow I take aim as the creatures draws near, as soon as my first arrow is fired, the Wither fires one of its heads. The arrow I fire hits home directly in one of the Withers head doing a massive amount of damage, I myself narrowly avoid the creatures flying head as it soars by and explodes behind me.
Knowing that this is already a losing fight I run and take cover in one of the dirt mounds once again narrowly avoiding another one of this creatures cursed heads. I began to take pot shots from the doorway of the dirt mound. Slowly the creature began to break away my cover, soon enough there was no cover to hide behind, quickly jumping out of the blasted crater I took shelter in another dirt mound nearby, taking care to dodge the Withers flying heads. This trend kept up until I was hiding in the last mound with only one more stack of 64 arrows. The Wither though seems to be weakening as its health is now only at 25%, this battle is almost over.
“Smile you mother fucker” I cursed as I fired another arrow into its bony body. This last hit finally made the creature go beyond its limits as it fired two heads at once blowing all of the cover I had left, stepping out of the crater I turned to face the massive bony creature. “Now comes the hard part” I sighed as I drew my sword and sprinted at the creature, heads flying left and right exploding blocks as I passed by. Sprinting and jumping over one of the flying heads I plunged the sword into the Withers body knocking it back and stunning it, taking this momentary chance I struck again, and again, and again the Wither began to grow tired of this game and launched one of its heads directly into my chest knocking down my health to half.
“Without this diamond I would be screwed” I mentally chuckled to myself as I ran circles around the creature slicing and jabbing at its sides. The night dragged on as we exchanged blows until finally one last hit on either side is what would determine the outcome of this battle. With one arrow left, I looked at my adversary, it’s can barely move and is attempting to position itself for one final attack. I look back at my bow and draw my final arrow. “Today just ain’t your lucky day mate" I said allowed as I took aim and fired my last arrow into the center skull of the creature.
As soon as the arrow connected with its skull, the creature let out a blood curdling screech that forced me to throw my head phones off in pain, as the creature began to dissipate, it dropped tons of XP and created a weird misty smoke effect, That was all I caught as I held my head in agony. “Son of a bitch I yelled” as I reached up to my right ear, I felt something warm and wet, my mind skipped to a conclusion, it can be only one thing, blood. Panic began to flood over me as I sprinted into the bathroom. Looking in the mirror I noticed there was a small amount of blood dripping from my right ear. My eyes had dark bags under them; the normal vibrant blue color they held is now a now glossy grey, not to mention my dark brown hair was heavily disheveled. “Damn I look like shit, time for bed” I moaned as I walked back to my room, only to notice that where, the wither had died there was now a small floating shard. Upon closer inspection as I sat down again, it was multi colored and surprisingly not a square like everything else in minecraft, it was smooth and came to a sharp tip on either side. I moved closer to it and picked it up, by now in the game it was day once again. When I went into my inventory to look at the mysterious shard I could see it at the bottom right of the inventory screen, hovering over it, the game read out, Harmonite.
Forgetting how tired I was I clicked on it, only for there to have an error window pop up, this window said. “Sorry this item can only be used in realism mods, would you like to change modes, yes/no” dumb founded by this I decide to click yes. Upon clicking yes however my mouse decided to shock my fingers scaring the hell out of me, not only this but my computer instantly blue screened. Panicking I tried shutting it down and restarting, only to have it come up once more with that cursed blue screen.
After some time I decided to call it a night and get to sleep hoping that in the morning everything would be cleared up. Sleep over took me fast as my world faded into darkness.

“Please dear god someone help me” I yelled out as the wall of darkness began to close in on me.
“Ha ha, foolish boy there is no escape now, embrace me or die” Boomed a loud and malevolent voice that sent shivers down my spine.
“Stay away from me, what did I do to deserve this” I cried out once more, tears begin to stream down my face as one of the dark tendrils wrapped itself around me, pulling me back into the inky blackness.
“Hmm, yes your mine now boy, soon you shall be one of us” said the voice once more as I was dragged further back, soon I was at the very edge of the darkness, all light began to fade away as I accepted my fate.
“ENOUGH” boomed another voice from the darkness, immediately as if by some kind of magic the dark was replaced with a bright, soft, white light. The darkness hissed and burned away only leaving the soft white comforting light. The tendril dropped me; I surveyed the area and was only met with confusion.
“Umm what just happened” I yelled out trying to comprehend what had just happened
“Hold your questions young one, soon all will be answered” said the voice once more, the voice itself seemed feminine in nature, but held kindness and compassion.
“Wait What’s that supposed to mean” I was cut off by a sudden feeling of falling, the light began to fade out as the ground gave out below me showing nothing but inky blackness, before the light was gone I could have sworn I saw a silhouette of a large winged and horned horse standing above watching me as I fell. The light is once again replaced with darkness, and I am falling. Faster and faster until BOOM.

“GAHH” I yelled out bolting straight up out of bed, waking up in a cold wet sweat shivering and convulsing. My vision was just a blur of colors and unrecognizable shapes. Gaining my balance was a losing game as the world just spun around me. After a short time my vision finally began to sort itself out and shapes and colors once again returned to normal, except something was off. This isn’t my bed.
“Wait what, what’s going on here” I cried out hoping for my mom or dad to answer, but to no avail. I glanced around, this wasn’t my room, this wasn’t my home. “Where am I” I yelled jumping out of my bed, cringing at the cold early morning air hitting my exposed skin. The room felt oddly familiar but yet was not my normal room. Looking out the window only seems to terrify me even more.
There in the window looking back at me was a massive spider, venom pouring from its fangs as it scratched and hissed at me through the window. It quickly jumped down out of sight, wielding a long grassy meadow littered with trees. As a ton of bricks it hits me, my mouth hangs agape as I take in the scenery around me finally realizing the impossible. “I’m in Minecraft.” I stammered out continuing to take in the scenery. The only difference is everything isn’t blocky, it, it seems real, to real I look at my arms and legs, they look exactly as they did before I went to sleep. Smooth and not blocky.
Looking back towards the bed I noticed a chest; curiosity overcame me as I move over and opened it revealing its contents. It had all of my equipment from the night before including the harmonite and strangely, a book. I reached into the chest and too the book, examining it I opened to the first page and began to read aloud its contents.
“Dear Devon, if you are reading this, than I fear it is already too late for you. You are now stranded in this world and I am sorry to inform you, there is no way home. But do not worry, do not fret, there is still hope, inside of this chest you will find all of your equipment that you had on you when the transportation began, including your clothes from the night prior. Not only this but in here you will find the Harmonite shard that you collected the night prior as well. Devon it is time for you to start your journey, it will be dangerous. You will be scared and you may even die, but the reward is worthwhile. This Harmonite shard you have discovered is much more than you can ever comprehend, it opens a gateway to another universe entirely, and it is these shards that will kick start your journey. To begin your journey you need only turn it thrice in hand and place it down for the portal to manifest. I am sorry but that is all the information I can gift to you. Good luck Devon, you are our only hope." Signed Anonymous.
Dropping the book I stand there dumbfounded, once again trying to comprehend my situation. Looking down once more I reach down and open the chest when I finally snap out of my stupor I find my cloths that I had been wearing before, I instantly put them on, quickly making the cold vanish. The chest also holds a large knapsack full of food and supplies. Next to the sac are my Diamond armor fully cleaned and polished my diamond sword in a sheath. My bow and quiver of arrows and at the very bottom are building supplies, mixed into these supplies is the Harmonite shard; I quickly snatch it up and put it into my knapsack for safe keeping.
I remove the armor from the chest and begin to strap the pieces on, it seems much lighter than it looks and before long it is all on. The helmet now covers my entire face and to anyone staring directly at it, it must seem pretty menacing and intimidating. Taking the sheath and sword I quickly tie it to my side while taking the bow and arrows, finding the best way to carry all of these supplies without them weighing me down.
Before long I have everything and now hold the Harmonite shard in my right hand. I descend the stairs and walk into the main room. Making my way to the front door to notice I have a visitor. From the looks it seems human except that it has pale green skin and is constantly moaning while banging on my door, this was no human, this was in fact a zombie. Perfect timing for some combat practice I thought as I unsheathed my sword and drew closer to the door, the zombie still banging senselessly as I drew closer until the door was within arm’s reach.
Before I had the chance to even grab the knob, the door burst open and the zombie came shambling in, intent on making me it’s meal, In on swift motion I sliced at the creatures neck, effectively knocking its head off making the body instantly fall to the ground as green goopy blood began to spill and squirt out of its neck. It seemed too easy, as though I had done it many times before.
Sheathing my sword once more I walked over to the body, only to have something odd happen, my arms as if by magic floated outwards in front of me, and to make it even weirder two large black holes open in the palms of my hands. As this happens I can't help but notice some kind of gold essence floating out of the zombie and into my hands until just as quickly as it started it stopped, the black holes on my hands close and the zombie still lay dead on my floor, with a nice big green blood stain where it had bled out. “Well shit, I can’t just leave this thing here” I grumbled.
After the business of cleaning up the now dead zombie was finished, I walked out of my home and next to what I can only presume is the nether portal, it’s now a large spherical ring of obsidian filled with some kind of purple essence, ghostly moans and whispers emanated from its entrance, the sounds causing shivers to run down my spine, as a seemingly infinite amount of ghostly whispers whispered death threats and fake prophesies towards me.
Attempting to ignore this I pulled out the Harmonite shard and stared at it, its colorful rainbow color only glowing brighter as the sun shone on it, remembering what the book told me to do to make it work, I flipped it in my hand and bent down placing it in the grass. It just sat there and looked the same as always.
After around thirty second of waiting and no results worrying thoughts began to assault my mind, fortunately all of my worries were set aside as the shard began to glow, glowing brighter and brighter as if it were becoming a sun of its own, the light, so intense it forced my head away and for me to shield my eyes as not to get blinded by the overpowering light that emanated from it. As the light hit its peak an ear shattering BOOM resounded around me as I was hit by an immense shockwave of untold power, barely able to stay up I cringed at the immense power coming from this small shard. As everything finally hit its peak, it just stopped, the Bright light tuned down to a light glowing and when I looked back to where the shard had been there was a large circular vortex just floating in midair.
The portal seeming to resemble the Nether portal had a multicolor hue to it as it pulsed as if it were alive. I took several steps closer, the closer I got the warmer the area became; it was comforting but yet foreboding. I stood at the portals edge and took one last glance back to my new home. “Well here we go” I said out loud as I stepped into the swirling vortex.
As soon as every part of my body entered, I was just as quickly expelled, walking back out as if I had just walked through a door way, my surroundings had drastically changed as I looked around, from the looks of things I was in a large dark forest. I was immediately struck with an unsettling feeling as I continued to take in my surroundings, something just wasn't right about this place, looking back I could once again see the portal.
Pulling my knapsack off my back I began to search its contents thoroughly until finally I found what I was looking for, a map, "I must map out this area so I can at least know the way back home" I thought to myself as I looked at the blank sheet of paper, I looked up from the map and began to walk, directionless, as I walked through the dense foliage the map seemed to map the area around me without me even having to intervene. This continued until finally I had hit a large clearing, now I could finally notice the magnificent sun that just seemed to hang there in the bright blue sky, The sun bathed everything in its soft warming glow, walking into the clearing brought me comfort, I could have sworn on my trek here I saw shadows moving just beyond my peripheral vision, as if I were being stalked, that feeling never seemed to go away even now I feel as though I am being watched. But being able to see around myself brought a small amount of security and closure.
Ignoring this feeling I checked my map and saw that it had indeed mapped out the entire area I had walked. As I looked a loud growl resounded around me, I jumped up and stood at the ready, sword drawn and ready to fight, fear and nervousness hit me once more as an even louder growl resounded around me once more, until it dawned on me. It’s only my stomach, sighing in embarrassment I pulled out a apple from my knapsack and began to devour the sweet fruit. Sheathing my sword once more I continue my trek through the forest.
I hiked for what seemed hours, periodically checking my map to see how far I had gone. Eventually I came upon a dirt path. The path was worn down and had no growths which led me to one explanation. “There’s a town nearby, which means there might be people here” I silently cheered as I cracked my first smile of the day, unfortunately this moment was short lived as something hard hit me in the back sending me flying into a nearby tree. My leg smacked into the trunk so hard that it had left an indent in the tree. My leg now throbbing in pain I attempted to pick myself up.
Picking myself off the ground I saw what can only be describe as something from mythology, standing there was a massive Lion looking creature, it had large bat like wings, and a massive scorpion like tail protruding from its rear end. It was hunched low to the ground and had a large amount of saliva dripping from its large fanged mouth, it looked hungry and wanted food, and I’ll be damned if I’m that food
”Can this day get any worse” I yelled out drawing my bow and readying an arrow, as if by fate the creature lept at me, it’s massive claws barely missing me as I dodged to the left back onto the trail, as the creature turned around and readied itself for another strike, I released the string and sent the arrow flying, the arrow struck perfectly, hitting the creature in one of its large yellow eyes. The creature let out a howl of pain as the arrow made contact. Not wasting any time I began to run I took off down the trail and doing my best to ignore the pain I felt in my leg, running as fast as possible, the armor not doing much to slow me down as it seemed to have molded to my form perfectly.
Not looking back I heard yet another ear splitting roar as the sound of branches breaking emanated from behind me. This thing won’t give up so easily. Once again I pulled my knapsack off of my back as an idea formed, I searched franticly as the growls and roars of the creature drew nearer.
“Ahah, found it, let’s see how you like potions bitch” I yelled in triumph as I pulled out a bottle full of dark red liquid. Stopping in place and swiveling around I could see the Scorpion thing getting closer and closer, I have to time it perfectly I thought. It just kept coming until it was no more than twenty feet out, I chucked the potion at the creature. It was a perfect shot as the potion hit home, the bottle broke on the creatures head and the Liquid poured out all over the thing.
It began to wail and cry out in pain as the potion did its thing. Forgetting about me entirely the creature ran back into the forest still yelping an howling as the potion kept burning it. Turning back onto the path I began to walk once more, trying to put as much distance between myself and that thing as possible, the potion won't kill it so I will come back, the adrenalin soon wore off and with it came the pain of being smashed into a tree. The pain only intensified as time went on, and walking soon became a chore.
Hobbling along the path was a grueling process, my vision began to blur as the little light that penetrated the canopy began to dissipate, I quickly slipped off my helmet and ran an armored hand through my sweaty disheveled hair. Once again checking my map to pass the time, as I looked down I saw something odd out of the corner of my eye. Looking up from the map and squinting my eyes I could see a clearing ahead. Getting excited I put my map back and slipped my helmet back on once more. Continuing to hobble as fast as possible to the clearing, though every step I took seemed just to intensify the pain in my leg.
Time was not on my side as my energy began to slowly drain as I grew closer and closer to the end, the pain only intensifying with every step causing me to cringe and moan in pain. The light continued to fade as day turned to night with just a small bit of orange sun still lighting the way, “Shit I gotta hurry, if I get attacked by something that big during the day, god knows what could attack me out here at night” I said under my breath as I huffed it up the last stretch up the hill to the clearing.
As I finally made it to the end the sun had finally set, to be replaced by a magnificently large moon. What I saw before me literally made my jaw drop, a town. Though this town seems to be empty, since the streets hold no life. Pushing the thought aside I began my slow painful trek down into the small town, the buildings I could now see seemed cartoony, as if I were in some kind of child’s fantasy land, this made me silently chuckle as I made my way onto the cobble road, my diamond boots clanking on the surface with a grating scratch and crunch sound as I walked further in I can’t help but shake the feeling of eyes on me, it’s unnatural and it seems to be coming from everywhere. Attempting to push the feeling away was futile as I continued even further into town, By now I had reached what I could only say was a marketplace with a large fountain in the center.
“You there, HALT!” Yelled a voice out of the darkness from behind me.
Happiness overwhelms me when I finally here a voice, not caring who said it or what they said I began to turn around. “Finally, umm I’m kind of lost can you plea” I stopped midsentence as I stared down to who or what had just talked to me. I was a weird looking pony that for some reason had massive disproportionate cartoony looking eyes. It had a lantern hanging from its back and somehow managed to hold a spear, the weapon in question was pointed directly at me.
“Di, did you just talk” I questioned the pony getting nothing but a hate filled glare back.
“Yes, I did now submit to arrest creature, or I will be authorized to take you down by using force” said the pony as forcefully as possible. He was visibly shaken at my size, as I easily towering over it by a foot and a half. I couldn’t help but chuckle at its meaningless threat.
“Ha ha, you and what army” I said mockingly as I stared down at him, attempting to intimidate him by using my size.
“This one” he said cracking a smirk, he pulled out a large shiny whistle blew into it, as if by some kind of black magic more of these guards seemed to run from nowhere, As the last few guards came from doorways and alleyways there numbers soon swelled to around 25 possibly more. I noticed that some of these ponies had wings, and others even had horns. With all the commotion lights inside of the homes began to flick on and ponies began to come out of their homes to investigate.
A large crowd had gathered around myself and the guards, ponies of all different shapes, colors and sizes, began to whisper as I held my ground staring down that one guard.
“Oh what kind of shit storm have I walked into” I squeaked out still trying to seem intimidating.
“Now as I said before thing, submit or be taken by force” said the same pony, the pony in question now held a satisfied smirk.
“In your dreams” I yelled out ignoring the pain in my leg I began sprinting at that one guard intent on take as many down with me as possible, when I finally reached him I yanked down and started my swing at his neck. However before I could make contact I just froze, my sword stuck in my hand with me not able to let go, I could not move or speak, as some kind of weird purple aura surrounded me.
“What is going on here” said another voice, though this one sounded more feminine than that of the guards pony, all attention was diverted to the owner of the voice as I was swiveled around in midair to see as well, the owner was a indigo colored pony that had dark purple hair, she also seemed to have a streak of pink running through it as well. She also had a horn, aww hell with it I’ll call her a unicorn.
“Umm, Miss Sparkle, we found this creature roaming the streets, it resisted arrest so we were forced to arrest it by using force” said the guard to the unicorn.
*sigh* “it’s too late for this” she moaned “Alright I’ll put it to sleep and send the princess a letter on what to do with it, for now I’ll keep it asleep so it will be no threat to anypony” she said waving the guards off, she seemed very grumpy and upon closer inspection her hair or I guess I should say mane was heavily disheveled. With my current thought process I failed to notice my vision begin to darken, my eye lids felt heavy as I fought the urge to sleep, however the feeling was far too great and within seconds I was out.

Chapter 2: My Natural Instinct
Once again I am wrapped in the inky blackness that is unconsciousness, who am I kidding everything is messed up now. I’m lying here partially asleep, but yet simultaneously awake, the only way I can tell I am in fact awake is I can make clear and coherent thoughts, other than that all of my other senses are shut down, hindered strangely as though some outside force wants to keep me trapped within my mental prison. Yet for some odd reason I don’t resist it, I find it peaceful, and I have now had time to collect my thoughts and come to terms with my new fate, or at least I’ve tried.
Fuck, my life has just gone down the shitter; I used to have friends, a loving family and a place to call home. Now being pulled away from all that, having it stripped from me has all but broken me. From what I can remember I lunged at and almost killed a living breathing sentient being a short time ago, thinking back I have no idea what I was thinking, I wasn’t thinking. *Sigh* guess I have to just roll with the punches I suppose.
My silent monologue was quickly cut short as an extraordinary pain began to shoot through my body, it all seemed to feed into my right leg; feeling all over my body began to come back as the pain only increased in intensity, all the while my other senses were still clouded and numb. Pain was all I felt, I could not move, I could not scream.
“
Oh my, it’s worse than I thought, hurry somepony please bring me some bandages and a splint” said a feminine voice, this voice seemed gentle and caring, stunning me as my hearing was instantly returned to me.
“You heard her girls, hurry ah don’t know how long this thing will last with the amount of pain it’s in” said yet another voice, this one seemed to have a slight country accent and again was feminine. I could feel my body shifting and tugging around as weird but yet interesting appendeges carressed my body, the appendeges in question didn’t feel like hands, instead it felt smooth but kind of soft, only thing I can compare it to was a large fingernail or toenail of some kind.
I can’t bare it anymore I have to scream, attempting a scream only wielded a slight whimper, the occupants of where ever I am seem to notice. As they try to talk to me, asking me if I was alright. Asking what I was. It was no use trying to answer, my mouth refused to open.
Attempting to deal with the pain and voices I slowly began to regain my sight and smell, the world around me was a menagerie of colors with large bright colored blobs that seemed to move and speak. Not paying attention to them I can finally feel the pain begin to subside to a dull throbbing, excruciating at the least but tolerable. My sight returns to me quickly and from what I can see those brightly colored talking blobs were ponies. Quite like the ponies I had seen before, and they all seemed to have those massive eyes.
I have counted six ponies, all having different colored coats and manes, One of them being the same pony or unicorn from before. To her left was yet another unicorn with a snow white coat and a styled purple mane. To purples right was one of the winged ponies, it had a cyan coat with a rainbow mane, heh reminds me of that damned harmonite shard. Moving and looking at my leg I saw yet another winged pony, it seemed to be tying gauze around my leg, it had a butter yellow coat and light pink mane. Helping it was a somewhat normal looking pony with an orange coat and blond mane, it was sporting a Stetson cowboy hat and seemed to have a long pony tail. Lastly looking to the corner was one of the more interesting looking ponies, all I can say is, lots of it. Pink mane with pink coat, its mane was unimaginably curly and it seemed to sport a massive smile and was bouncing up and down with uncontrolled excitement for some unknown reason.
All of these ponies seemed to be staring directly at me, they held expressions of curiosity, fear, and for some odd reason sorrow, it was now that I finally noticed my surroundings. I was in some kind of large barn, hay bales and farm equipment lay scattered around, and directly in the middle of the spacious room was me, and for some reason a bed right in the middle with me laying partially naked in, they stripped me of everything, everything except my boxers, luckily I lay under the sheet that adorned the bed.
The pain in my leg decided to flare back up once more causing me to lay back down, and soon once again I grew tired, not tired enough for sleep persay but enough so, that moving was a chore. I dared not look at my leg just judging from the pain it was easily broken maybe worse. The silence was broken when one of these ponies decided to speak up.
“Umm, hello there, can you understand me” was all that was said, the voice belonged to the lavender unicorn, I turned my head to look at her, presuming by the tone of the voice it was a her.
“Yes” I weakly replied back, yes being the only word that was able to squeak past my lips, my voice low and scratchy. Every pony in the room, even the energetic pink one looked at me surprised, some held expressions of fear, while others, including the purple unicorn held large smiles, the purple one especially as she took a step further and addressed herself to me.
“Perfect, my name is Twilight sparkle, star pupil of princess Celestia herself” she stated matter of factly looking down at me with those massive eyes.
“What are you” said the rainbow manned winged pony hovering mere inches from my face, surprising me to the point where I almost fell out of the bed I lay in. “Well come on out with it” she said once more hovering closer and closer, I found out at this moment that gravity is a bitch as I fell out of the bed dragging the sheets with me. Falling flat on my face yielding gasps from the occupants of the barn. When my right leg clanked on the hay covered floor I experienced yet another bout of pain causing me to yelp.
“Now why’d ya have to go and scare it rainbow” said the orange farm pony, attempting to get myself up only intensified the pain I felt in my leg, and I did finally look down I was greeted with what was causing all of my pain. The sight made the color drain from my face, from my knee to my ankle there was just purple, dark purple with discolored splotches of tan mixed in with a large amount of scratches.
The sight made me pass out once more, not just from the unrelenting pain, but just from seeing my leg in such bad of shape, as always the inky blackness that is unconsciousness wraps its dark shadowy claws around me and plunges me into a deep sleep.

(Back in the minecraft Universe)
A shadowy humanoid lumbered around one of the massive underground caverns that adorned the subterranean levels of the world, It’s piercing soulless white eyes stared straight ahead as it continued to walk. As it continued two skeletons followed in tow on either side of the strange being, their old bones clanking and scratching along as they moved forward.
After a short time of walking the trio found themselves at the entrance of a large brick corridor. This corridor was filled to the brim with many of the other subterranean creature that inhabited the land, a few being half rotted zombies and spiders. At this point the pupil less character walked alone once more, his escort long gone when he finally reached a special room, guarded by two very tall, dark, slender creatures. Both creatures looked to one another and nodded moving aside and allowing the humanoid access.
The room was dark, the hissing of silverfish abounded around the room as the insects scurried across the floor, in the center there was a large lava pool and above that was a large portal suspended over said lava pool. The portal in question was almost complete, it was missing one thing and one thing only; with this object the portal shall open plunging the world into eternal darkness.
“Soon” was all that came out of the beings mouth, his voice dark and scratchy as he turned back and walked back into the ancient corridor.

“Gahh” I blurted out as I shot up from my sleep. “Wa, what was that thing” I yelled out remembering the dream I had just had. “Wait, pain, ponies, where the hell am I” I said once more surveying my surroundings; I was in a small room. The bed I lay in was far too small to support me, as my legs popped out the back of the bed.
“my leg” I thought out loud as I checked under the covers to see how my right leg was faring, to my astonishment my leg seemed fine, completely healed as though nothing happened to in the first place. I looked across from the bed and noticed my normal cloths not to mention my shoes were folded neatly on a dresser across from the bed.
“I could hear some commotion from one of the rooms adjacent to my own. It’s fight or flight mode for me and I am in no mood to fight. Hopping out of bed, I put my clothes and shoes on as fast as possible as the commotion grew louder I could clearly hear the sound of feet, no not feet hitting the floor whatever it is it seems more sold and hard, somewhat like a hoof, and there’s more than one pair of em. Tying my last shoe I surveyed the room for any means of escape. From what I saw there was only one door and one window, screw the door I’m going for the window. Unfortunately window was very small at that and it would be a bitch to have to climb through.
“Come on girls, I think it’s awake” said a voice right down the hallway, there was more than one of these things I would stand no chance, I opened the window and looked out, I was met with a ferly large two story drop, thirty feet at the least.
“Why can’t anything ever be simple” I whispered to myself as I began to shimmy through the window. When I met the halfway mark I could hear the voices stop at my door, and for a brief moment there was silence, at least until I grunted as I pulled the rest of my torso out of the window, now sitting on the sill.
The door immediately swung open and I was met with the same six faces I had seen earlier. They seemed surprised and stunned, leaving me enough time to grasp a large slab. I used all the strength I had to pull myself out of the room and onto the wood itself. Panicked voices came from the room I was in, and that when it hit me. Im climbing a fucking tree, the slab of wood I grabbed onto was in fact a branch.
“Don’t let it get away, it has to be studied” said the unmistakable voice of Twilight Sparkle.
“Da hell, did she just say she was gonna (study) me, what does that mean” I grunted out as I reached out grabbing a branch slightly lower than the one i hang from. It was just now that I noticed that it was day out, luckily for me no one or should I say no pony decides to look up, seeing as the streets seem to be bustling with these ponies.
The only other branch I could see that I could get too was around a 15 ft. drop, and from here to the ground it was still at least a thirty foot drop. The ponies I had seen before now exited the tree building thing and were looking up at me trying to usher me down. They began to yell at me telling me to come down and begging me not to fall.
“Ehh screw it” I said dropping to the tree limb below. I reached out once more and grabbed the smaller branch with all my might. Breathing I sigh of relief I looked down once more and saw the ponies rushing right below my position. The orange one even had a fucking lasso and somehow how held it in its mouth perfectly.
CRACK “Oh shit” was all that escaped my mouth as the branch buckled and snapped sending me falling the last fifteen feet. (parkour mode activate) I braced for impact, and when I finally reached the ground I absorbed some of the shock with my legs as the rest was released as I rolled. Looking back I could see the six ponies running towards me with slightly angered looks, well all except for the pink mess, hell the rainbow manned one was even flying at me.
I didn’t think I just took off running, though this was futile the ponies had four legs and I had only two, they began to catch up very quickly and that damned Rainbow one kept trying to dive bomb me only for me to dodge or duck having it fly over me cursing. This is going nowhere time to step this up a notch, I bolted down one of the alley ways, it would have been a dead end if it had not been for a trashcan at the end.
Timing it just right I jumped up on the trashcan swiveled around and quickly jumping off of it and up onto the wall, the tips of my fingers reaching the ledge, the yelling from behind growing louder as I began to pull myself up, when I finally got most of my chest up I felt a rope wrap around my leg and just a quickly felt the tugging at the other end. Looks like the orange one can use a rope after all; it now turned into a brutal game of tug of war. Five of the ponies began to tug as little miss rainbow began trying to pry my hands from one of the bars that stuck in the ground on the roof.
This continued until the rainbow one decided to punch me in the nose, stunning me and causing one of my hands to let go, the punch hurt, but it didn't draw any blood. I looked up to its face and saw a satisfied smirk.
“You fucking bitch, it’s on now” I said through my clenched teeth at it. It only looked at me wide eyed as my free hand struck out and grabbed one of its legs. She began to scream and flail around in my grasp, only reason I say she, is because those kinds of yells and screams could only come from a girl. She yelled things like “Let go of me you over sized monkey” and “bucking let go of me or get the shit beaten out of you” things of the nature. I didn’t let go and truthfully that was a bad idea, I felt one last, strong tug from behind and I lost grip with my other hand. It was now a ten foot plummet down, and I fell hard.
I hit the ground with a loud thud, keeping my head from hitting the ground. I was in pain everywhere, nothing like what I felt before, but just a little soreness and a few scrapes and cuts. I looked back and saw the ponies all staring me down with death stares, even the pink one seemed a little mad herself, if that’s even possible. I had nowhere else to run, I had no plan, and I had no help, sighing I put my hands out and looked down in defeat, not even saying a word. All the while I could feel ropes on my arms, they began to tighten and soon I was being pulled around town, back to that massive tree I had been in before, gathering quite a few questioning stares from random ponies on the way back, especially from one light green colored unicorn. It just followed behind me the entire way back to the library and from some odd reason stared at my hands almost hungrily.
To say I was surprised with how large it was on the inside was an understatement; this place was a library, full with books. Not just that but it doubles off as a home, in another room adjacent to the store part, there was a kitchen a living room and an upstairs, where I can only assume the bedrooms are. In my stupor I had failed to realize I was being lead to the living area. The orange pony forced me to sit down on one of the couches, the other ponies gathered around me sitting on the floor and other chairs around, and randomly the white unicorn pulled a luxurious and comfortable looking chair out of nowhere, I just stared dumbfounded and realized I had seen weirder thing today. Twilight had pulled up a chair and was now sitting right in front of me, looking me directly in the eyes with a mixture of curiosity and, something else.
“Umm hello there” she said to me, she did her best to put on a kind and inviting smile, attempting to break the awkward silence that had clouded the room before. The other ponies still kept their eyes on my, most of the looks I got were just worried and interested looks. I looked up to Twilight and said nothing.
“Alright, well we have some questions for you and we would like answers” she said pulling up some parchment feather and an inkwell. These ponies really aren’t very advanced I thought to myself as I looked around.
“You said that you could talk before, I would like to clarify this, is it true” she said jotting something down on the paper. These ponies already knew I could talk, I might as well.
“Yes, I can speak” I said sighing at the end as I began to mess with the rope holding my hands together. Immediately the orange one stood up and looked at me sternly.
“Now y'all just relax there pardner, you ain’t aloud to take em off until ah can trust ya” she said tying them tighter than they had been before causing me to cringe as the ropes pinched my arms, somehow managing the task with her teeth and hooves.
Twilight began to write even more on her piece of parchment, I must have been a in a daze because I had yet to notice the feather floating, it was coated in the same kind of lavender aurora I had been coated in the time I floated. Turning back to Twilight I noticed that she had begun her next question.
“Where do you come from” she asked once more looking at me intently as she readied her parchment and feather once more. These ponies don’t need to know this, I’m just going to run away the first moment they turn their back anyway.
“That is none of your concern” I spat back, trying once again to wiggle out of my bonds but to no avail. She seemed taken aback by this comment and somewhat hurt. “Now can I please go now”? Right as I said this there was a large consecutive NO from the entire group. “*sigh* nothing’s ever simple” I said sitting there in defeat.
This continued for what seemed like an hour. Twilight would ask me a question, and I would answer, her usual questions would be things like, are there more of you where you’re from, what are you, are you male and female. Things of that nature, the damned unicorn even asked how often my species have sex, anyway this continued until she had one last question.
“Alright, I have one last question for now, ahem why did you try to kill that guard a few days ago” she said looking back up at me questioningly. The others seemed to be curious as well as they all moved in to hear my answer.
Sitting there, I thought of how I should word this to make it seem truthful, so in the end I just told the truth. “I was backed in a corner, I was hurt, It was my natural instinct to fight back” I said laying back in the couch recounting that night as I blindly tried to attack and kill that one lone guard.
All ponies in the room looked at me with questioning stares. “What, alright look, I did try to kill him, you want to know why, I felt threatened, I just want to go home, and now I’m stuck here with no way back, I’ll be better off if I go back to my second home” I said out loud half to myself and half to the ponies, unfortunately the second part slipped out and at the moment I said second home, Twilight perked up once more.
“What do you mean second home” she said levitating her parchment and feather back up.
“It’s none of your business” I said back once again trying my best to hold my ground.
“Oh come now Devon, I think we all would like to know” said a new voice from behind the ponies, there standing in the doorway was a very large horse, pony, thing, she had both a horn and wings and stood at around my height. She had two large armored ponies at her sides, and yet for some reason she seemed oddly familiar, her voice also had the air of familiarity to it as well. The ponies in the room turned around and quickly bowed to the being.
“Pr, Princess Celestia, I had no clue you were coming for a visit, oh this place is a mess I’m so” she was cut off as the princess walked in the room and pulled Twilight into what I could call an embrace for ponies, wait did she just say princess, aww crap I’m screwed again. This day just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

Chapter 3: Introductions and Explosive Surprises
Alright so short recap, I am now held hostage by a group of short colorful ponies, not just any old ponies but mythical ones at that, some have horns, others have wings, and apparently some have both, now their so called princess has shown up and wants answers, which I have so graciously denied.
“Look everyone I don’t mean to be rude or anything but I really have to get going.” I say once again only for my advance to be halted by said ponies.
“You mean everypony, and where do you have to go in such a rush, we haven’t even gotten a chance to know you yet” said Twilight as she began to trot over to me. I never think I’m ever going to get used to this, I mean the little things only come up to my midsection it’s seriously laughable, the only one that actually compares to my size is that large white one who I assume is this princess Twilight keeps going on about.
“Everyone, everypony, who cares I really have to get going this is an urgent situation” Which it truly was for all I know my home could be overrun with the hell spawn that roam the lands of minecraft. I’m really going to have to come up with a new name for that place.
“But where is this place” my inner monologue was cut off by a soft voice, I snapped back and noticed the yellow Pegasus spoke up, the others in the room stopped to stare at her which she only seemed to shrink under their gaze, apparently she must not speak out much”
“You don’t need to know, now will you please let me go” at this point I had at least been let out of the chair but they refused to allow me access to the front door.
“You are not to be set free creature, at least not until I know you are not a danger to my little ponies” said the princess, she had begun to stare me down with soul piercing eyes, I could not help but slightly shrink under her gaze.
Sighing in defeat I slumped my shoulders, “Fine what do you want from me”. Immediately as I said this Twilight’s eyes lit up with excitement, she trotted over to the princess and whispered something to her, the princess only nodded to which the other ponies including myself could only watch until their small conversation came to a close.
“it is decided you are to be put under the care of my personal student Twilight Sparkle until you are deemed harmless, in the mean time she will run various tests on you to see how you react to your new world, it’s not every day a new creature stumbles into our land” the princess said while having a stern tone in her voice, “but as for now you are to get to know Twilight and her friends, you are alone in this world make the best of it” the pink one seemed to explode at this point in excitement, when I say she jumped off wall I would not be kidding she literately bounced off the wall and ceiling in a comedic way until finally she seemed to just disappear out of sight.
“Does she normally do that” I said looking at where she had just been seconds before.
“It’s just pinkie being pinkie now come on lets ge….” Twilight was cut off as a large boom resounded from outside.
“What was that” said a young sounding male voice up stairs.
“I don’t know Spike please come down and meet our guest” Twilight said. “Applejack please go check what that was.”
“Alright Twi” said the orange pony, she trotted over to one of the windows adjacent to the front door. “Umm Yawl might want to see this.”
“See wha…” said the same young voice again. I turned around to see what looked like an overgrown lizard standing on the stairs.
“What is that thing” both of us said in unison completely transfixed on one another. My attention was once again brought back to the window as another explosion could be heard, this one much closer.
Switching my position so I could see out the window I witnessed ponies running down the street screaming as they did so, they all ran in one direction, as though running from the same thing. Screams of terror and agony filled the air, so much so that it was clearly audible from inside.
“Umm what is everypony running from” Said the voice of Fluttershy, even meeker than before.
“Uhh, I think that thing” said rainbow se pointed to a large green bulbous looking creature, it walked on four legs and hissed as it did so, it was green and awkward but it ran fast. One unlucky pony was unable to outrun the green creature, the creature began to convulse and expand until “BOOM” it exploded, creating a small crater where it had been standing. The poor pony was sent flying towards the library its hair singed and its coat covered in burn marks.
“I… is that Lyra” Fluttershy squeaked out, the pony that had been in the blast from what I could see had a minty colored coat and mane, at least the parts that weren’t singed and blackened.
“Let me out now” was all I could say.
“But”
“No but’s do you want your friend to die or not” I spoke in a stern voice looking down to the ponies. They did not argue Twilight used her magic to open the door.
There lying on the cobbled side walk was the blackened pony, she seemed feminine in physique she even had a horn. She was struggling there slowly bleeding as a pool of the dark red liquid began to pool on the side walk.
I didn’t hesitate I bolted out of the library as fast as possible, making a beeline straight for the suffering pony. She was around 30 feet away and in the opposite direction more of those creatures could be seen running down the street. Besides the pony me and the creatures the street was barren except.
I finally made it to the pony presumably Lyra. She greatly injured, here left leg was definitely broken, she had multiple burns and lacerations, and on her left haunch there was very large deep wound. She whimpered her eyes fluttering trying their hardest to stay open. She attempted to talk but nothing came out I silenced her by gently scooping her up in my arms, taking extra care to cause her the least amount of pain as possible.
“You’re going to be ok, I’m not going to let you die here” was all I said as I stood back up, her form quivering in my arms. I turned to look back to the library, I saw the group of ponies flagging me down from one of the closed windows, by now it was too late there were at least 3 of these bulbous creatures standing between me and the library. The pony in my arms would only slow me down it’s either drop her and get to safety or keep a hold and risk getting blown up.
“Ehh life’s never easy” I said to particularly no one under my breath. Taking off as fast as my legs would allow in the direction of the library, meeting the first creature halfway, it began to convulse, I quickly side stepped it kicking off it side causing it to fall over, it then exploded several seconds later sending bits of rock all over.
The shockwave enough to push me forwards, I could feel as small pebbles embedded themselves in my arms and legs it was extremely unpleasant as a small cry escaped my lips. The pony in my arms only shrunk more. The other two creatures continued their advance.
Quickly thinking I picked up a rock with my free arm and once more continued my charge against the creatures once they got close enough I tossed the rock to the one on the left hitting it in its face. The creature stumbled into the other giving me a big enough time gap to slip through. I passed the creature and was now only feet from the library’s door. It swung open revealing the ponies inside.
Looking back both creatures had swollen up and went out in a massive explosion, sending me flying into the library and onto the hard wood floor on my back, I had my arms around the quivering pony to shield her from the shrapnel and blast.
I released my hold on her, her bloodied form sprawled out on my chest. I looked into her eyes which had dark golden irises.
“Thank you” was all she said before she blacked out. I looked around to the ponies around me, they all were petrified in shock and terror.
“What are you all waiting for, she needs help now” I yelled out catching their attention
No words were said, there were only nods of understanding, even the little lizard boy silently nodded, Fluttershy brought out a blanket and laid it out on the floor, I put the ponies limp body on the blanket and allowed her to do her thing.
I walked over to the window to oversee the destruction, the cobbled street had several holes in random places. Windows were broken and blood soaked the sidewalk.
“What were those things” said the princess from behind me. Heh I had forgotten that the princess and her guards were still here.
“Well I can only speculate but from what I know their called creepers” I said turning back to the princess, she seemed to have multiple emotions, I could see her fear and confusion.
“And where did these creeper’s come from.”
“Exactly from where I came from, why do you think I insisted on leaving, I knew that I wouldn’t be the only thing coming from that portal.”
“You never mentioned a portal, and you never mentioned them” she said taking a step forward looking down upon me with an accusing glare.
“I told you that you didn’t need to know, now look we have a bigger problem here. I’ll make you a deal, if I help clean up your town of the creeper infestation I get to go back and plug up the portal.” I said sticking out my hand, the princess eyed my hand for a few seconds.
“It will be a deal, but when go back you are to be escorted by a group of my own personal guards, and you will not block off this portal not until both my sister and I say so” she said looking back to my hand. I believe this is the closest I will get to an answer here so it would be best to not argue.
“*sigh, you have a deal princess” I said grasping her good and shaking it, she smiled warmly and turned back to the ponies, all of which were dressing lyra’s wounds. Amazingly in that short period lyra’s wounds had been mended.
“Twilight may I please have a word with you in private” the princess said as she moved past Twilight.
“Of course princess, girls keep an eye on our guest” she said as she looked back almost with fear in her eyes. After the two left the room was silent, all of the ponies eyed me but as soon as I would glance to one they would look away, it was the same with the guards as well. The silence had begun to get to me so finally I decided to speak out.
“Umm how exactly did you get her fixed up that fast” I said for all to hear trying not to sound awkward as I spoke. Being the center of attention has never been something that I have really enjoyed. Yet another long silence ensued until the white Unicorn spoke up.
“well you see Twilight and I are both Unicorns and being so we can use magic, we were able to magically mend her wounds” She said, she stepped closer and eyed my cloths once more, my once clean shirt and pants had holes and tears in them, not to mention a very large blood stain on the front of both my shirt and pants. She seemed disgusted but said nothing.
“Hey it’s not my fault that my shirt and pants are all ripped and stained, if it were up to me no I would get a new pair, but unfortunately I happen to have none.” To this remark she seemed to perk up a bit even to the point of happiness.
“Well darling I run a boutique not far from here, please visit once this whole fiasco is over oh would you please.” She said almost begging. Hell I would be an idiot if I were to pass up the opportunity to get some new cloths.
“I will make sure to do that miss…”
“Oh just call me Rarity darling” she said once more taking a seat with the others.
“Look I’m tired of trying to guess your names, will you please introduce yourselves it would make my life a little easier.” I said standing up in front of ponies. There was some sighing but eventually they all stood up and approached me. The first one up was the pink devil who once again seemed to pop out of now where,
“MynamesPinkiePie” she said all in one word barley catching it I created here with a hand shake or in this case a hoof shake, I don’t know how but she somehow was able to grip my hand with her hoof, the girl damn near ripped my arm out of its socket
“Well it’s nice to meet you Pinkie Pie” I said trying to conceal the pain in my arm, not mention the pain from the little bits of rock stuck inside of me. “Who’s next” the rainbow manned Pegasus trotted up next.
“The names Rainbow Dash, and if you did know already I’m the fastest flier in equestrian” she said taking some kind of heroic pose with mock confidence.
“Heh, of course you are, well it’s a pleasure to meet you Rainbow Dash” I said extending my arm for another hoof shake only to be met with a fist bump, hmm hoof bump. Up next is Rarity.
“Ha, sit back down Rarity I already met you”
“But”
“No but’s please sit back down” I said giving her a playful smirk, she only huffed and took a seat next to Rainbow, who only chuckled at Rarities scowl. Up next was the orange pony that had neither wings nor horn but had some kind of Stetson cowboy hat on.
“Ma names Apple Jack” was all she said, she had a thick southern accent. I shook her hoof, her shake was strong but short.
“Hmm pony of few words huh, alright” I said releasing my grasp on her hoof and allowing her to take a seat with the others. Last was the yellow coated Pegasus, she was very shy and timid and took her time approaching me.
“Umm m… my names Fluttershy” she whispered out, it was barely audible but enough so I could here. I kneeled down to the point where I was eye level with her trying to not seem so menacing. I offer her a warm smile and extend my arm out to her expecting a shake or fist bump, instead she flat out hugs me and whispers “thank you for saving my friend” she quickly lets go and retreats back to her friends attempting to hide behind them, I could see a small crimson hue on her cheeks as she tried to hide.
I sit there shocked for a few seconds before I come to, “ahh well then it’s been a pleasure meeting all of you.” I said sitting down on one of the couches around the room” now if you’ll excuse me I am very tired so I’m going to take a short nap. All of the ponies just staring at me once again only nod in understanding. I close my eyes and begin to drift off only to be assaulted by the sound of breathing next to my head, I can hear the sound of suppressed mumbles.
“If you’re trying to watch me sleep you might want to be more quite” I whisper only to hear a squeak and a thump as though someone fell. I chuckle to myself as I drift off into a deep slumber.

A large dark arm manifests from the swirling vortex, black lanky legs emerge and a head with soulless eyes come to be, the emaciated figure stalks out of the portal, it’s fellow mobs skulk around as it moves further. It has one goal one main motive, induct or eliminate the one known as Devon.

“Devon wake up.”
“Hmph, ten more minutes.”
“Devon get up now.”
“It’s a Saturday Mom leave me alone” I mumbled turning away from the intruding voice.
“GET UP THIS INSTANT” boomed a voice causing me to jump in surprise falling straight on the hard wood floor, right on my face hitting my nose in the process.
“Hey what’s the big idea” I said slowly getting to my feet and holding my now sore nose only to be met with the glare of the princess.
“Now Devon that’s no way to speak to a princess please practice your manners in front of royalty, now to business” the princess said while leading me into the kitchen, I couldn’t help but flip the rude bitch off, who wakes a person up by yelling in their damn ear. “Devon are you even listening to me” said Celestia turning around to meet my eyes once again with a glare.
“Oh, uhh yea just thinking” I said holding my arm attempting to act as innocent as possible. Realizing that I should feel little bumps on my skin aren’t there supposed to be little chunks of rock imbedded in my skin, I surveyed my arms but only found small white scars where the rocks had been. Hmm I guess they removed them while I was sleeping somehow.
“Well this way please” she said once more walking into the kitchen, me following closely behind. I noticed all of the ponies before sitting at a table in the middle of the room, including Lyra, the Princesses guards and what seemed to be another one of those horned and winged horses, it seemed to have a similar appearance to the large white one, except it’s coat had a dark blue hue and it’s hair blue black and for some reason had small white specs resembling stars almost. Hell its hair even flowed in a nonexistent wind same with the princesses.
“Devon please take a seat” said the princess as she motioned to a chair at the far end of the table. I glanced around and walked over pulling out the extremely small chair finding it awkward sitting in it, hmm must be made for ponies only. “Now Devon I would like to introduce you to my sister, Luna” Celestia said once more motioning to the dark looking horse thing who only held a blank stare as though processing what I am.
“Like me she is a princess of Equestria only she governs the night as I govern the day” I nod to Celestia and extend my arm across the table to the dark princess, the other only stare in disbelief as I attempt to shake the princesses hoof, she only looks at my hand and back to me in disgust.
“How dare thou creature extend thy appendage to me, know thy place creature before thou regret it” the princess spat out keeping a steady glare as she did so. I slowly retreated back to my chair trying to ignore the stares I was receiving.
“Umm Princess Celestia is there a reason why I’m here right now” I muttered out attempting to break the silence that had befallen the room. The princess finally snapping out of her stupor turned to address me.
“Indeed there is Devon, it is plain to see that there is an infestation of those, what did you say those things were… aww yes creepers, they have overrun the town and sent the inhabitants inside their homes to seek shelter. While you were asleep I had contacted my sister to let her know of the situation, in the time it took her to get here a few of my own personal guards have flown reconnaissance over the town, they had counted at least thirty of those creepers and around 6 very large spiders. I have also alerted the captain of the royal guard to mobilize his forces to help drive away these creatures. That’s where you come in Devon; remember how I told you that I would only allow you to roam freely if you show that you are not a danger.”
I silently nodded to the princess allowing her to proceed with her rant.
“Well you are to assist the captain and his stallions (men) in driving them out of town, not to mention you are to share any information about these creatures to my sister and I now, or to the captain and his stallions when they arrive. When the task is complete you will be free to leave, but as I said before you are to be escorted by a small group of guards to this portal of yours, do we have a deal”
I contemplated what she had said, I’m not skilled with a blade by any means and my aiming with a bow is pretty hit and miss but it seems I live little choice. “Alright Princess, I’ll do what I can to help, but I am no means a warrior, those weapons I had were gifted to me, speaking of which I will need them back for this, all of it including my knapsack.”
“Done, Captain Shining Armor and his royal guards will be here soon, does anypony here have any questions?” stated the princess as she looked across the table expecting questions. A cyan hoof shot up.
“Princess, why are we letting this thing help, for all we know it might just attack us” Rainbow pointed a hoof accusingly at me, Applejack nodded in aggreenece.
“Ah agree princess, I don’t think he’s trust worthy enough, but ah will not argue with your logic, ahm just sayin at least keep an eye on him.”
“Hmm I see your concern, but I don’t believe we have much choice in the matter, he knows more about any of these creatures than any of us, I don’t like the plan much myself, but it’s the only option we have so far”
“Well, umm, maybe he won’t hurt anypony, I mean we can at least give him a chance” Fluttershy piped in, Everypony in the room seemed to start conversing on how the plan could go wrong, or how I could go on a rampage and injure someone to say the least it was boring and insulting.
I began to look around the room, again surprisingly large for being in a hollowed out tree. I continued to scan the room blocking out the voices of those around me until my eyes met Luna. She still held her scowl; all she did was stare back, her and I were the only ones not joining in on the conversation and before long I had could take it no longer.
“Umm do you mind if I stretch my legs” I asked out loud, no one in the room seemed to notice. Taking a hint I collected myself and removed myself from the table, walking out into the living room to look around, I checked over my back to see if I was being trailed. No one had seemed to follow me; well the princess said her guards would be here soon, I should probably look for my equipment if I’m going to help get rid of their creeper infestation.
After a short while of looking through every nook and cranny of the living room I had decided that it’s not there, which only leaves the upstairs, some other part filled with books probably a library, and the kitchen. Upstairs seems the best so I begin to ascend the stairs slowly, trying my best to not make the old wooden floorboards creak. Unfortunately the whole way was nothing but creaking, a creak with every step I took until I reached the final stair.
At this point the talking below me had turned into just low mumbles of inaudible nonsense. Hoping I wasn’t heard I pressed on into a small hallway with several doors to my left and right, possibly guest rooms or storage. I moved to the end of the hallway into a much larger room, this room had a small bed to one side and an even smaller bed adjacent to that one and on that bed was the little lizard boy, I froze when I saw him wondering how he had not woken with the sound from the stairs, hopefully he’s a heavy sleeper I thought as I walked further in surveying the rest of the room.
It looked as any normal bedroom should, nothing was misplaced and I was about to give up my search until I saw a small piece of leather protruding from underneath the bed. Getting on all fours I looked to see what it was and to my enjoyment it was my knapsack, along with it was a very large bag which presumably held my weapons and armor.
Carefully sliding out the knapsack I opened the bag to see its contents, everything was where I had left it, hopefully those ponies hadn’t gone through my bag, god knows what would happen if they drank one of those potions. Next came the armor and weapons, theses were a bit harder to pull out without disturbing the little lizard boy. A tough task that eventually I overcame, I placed the bag on the bed and undid it’s bindings, the lizard still snoozed on his small bed, oblivious to the fact that I was just mere feet away.
Alright everything is there including my bow and quiver of arrows. I began to take each piece of the armor out in the process locking each piece to my body, remembering the feeling of the smooth diamond expecting once again for all of it to weigh me down, but just as last time it nearly felt weightless not to mention not restraining in the slightest. Grabbing the sword I tied the sheath to my side with the little leather straps that hang to the side and grab both the bow and quiver of arrows slinging each on opposite shoulders, the last thing that remained was the helm.
Reaching for it I impulsively brushed a small bit of sediment off from the top, in doing so I had loosened my grip enough for it to slip. My attempts to catch the helmet were in vain, it slammed against the floor resounding in a loud thud. The lizard began to stir in his bed, slowly rising. Quickly scooping up the helmet from the ground I bolted to the door, not caring how much noise I made.
“TWILIGHT” yelled the lizard, his voice shrill as it graded on my ears, he sounded scared out of his little mind but that mattered little, I ran down the hallway making it to the top of the stairs in little time. Looking back over my shoulder I could see the little guy cowering by the door only peaking his head around to look at me. I mouthed sorry to him as I descended the stairs,
Unfortunately as soon as I turned around I was met with the face of Celestia, and one very mad Twilight. I attempted to explain but was cut short as I was lifted into the air by Twilight, her purple aurora soaking over me not allowing me to move a muscle.
“WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY LITTLE SPIKE” she shrieked in anger, I could feel pressure being exerted on my whole body, compacting me, the only thing alleviating most of the pain was the diamond armor which held my form together. I tried with all my might to open my mouth to speak and as though luck were on my side my mouth opened with it a flood of words spewed out.
“I didn’t hurt him, I swear I only went up there to get my stuff, I promise that’s all I did, I’m sorry” I said quickly the pain growing even more causing me to shut my mouth, and as I looked down to her I could feel the grip let go and in turn dropping me. It was a bitch being on the stairs as I landed wrong causing me to fall all the way down. I swear without this armor I would be dead right now, I had received little to no injuries when I hit the bottom, the armor was still pristine, no dents or imperfections so far.
“Twilight was that really called for” said the princess as she used her magic to pull me up to my feet.
“I… Uhh… I’m sorry, I… was just worried about Spike, he sounded so scared” the poor unicorn said as she crumpled in on herself, obviously feeling bad about what she had done.
“It’s ok Twilight, you acted to protect Spike, and I can forgive that” I said putting a hand on the unicorns back helping her up. Her face lit up in a smile, she said nothing but I could tell all was right.
“Now princess when did you say that you…” I was cut off as a tired looking Pegasus burst through the door, he had two creepers hot on his tail, as soon as he entered the door was slammed shut by Twilight blocking the Creepers path. The Pegasus in question was adorned in golden armor as were the other two guards of the princess.
“Princess” gasped the Pegasus who had yet to notice me “we have set up camp just outside of town, there are too many of those things, we were unable to land in town. I was sent to tell you that we are ready to push the creatures out of town” the Pegasus got out in between breaths, guess the creepers were faster than he thought.
“Good, you are now to bring Devon to your camp, he will be able to fill you in on what these things are and their weaknesses.”
“Umm princess, who’s Dev…?” He trailed off as he finally turned his gaze to me, I easily towered over him his head only reaching my upper chest at the most
“Devon at your service” I said giving him a mocking bow, my clanked together as I bent over. The pony looked in confusion, more curious then anything.
“Umm what is that thing” he asked once more as he tried to back up a small bit a little intimidated by the arsenal of weapons I had on me.
“We really don’t know what he is actually.” piped up Twilight as she walked out of the small group, “Devon what exactly are you.”
“This really is not the best time, the more time we waste here the more time the surge from my world can spread here, now are we going or not” I said walking to the door motioning for the guard to follow.
“Fine, but you better tell us when you get back” The guard slowly approached keeping at a safe distance all the while.
“Going out there is suicide, you know that right those exploding creature are everywhere out there.” Said the guard as he walked up to the window adjacent to the door, I peeked outside and he was correct the street had at least 6 creepers and 4 spiders patrolling, who knows how many migrated to the town now.
“I know, but it seems everything I’ve been doing these days is going to get me killed, nothing ventured nothing gained I” I chuckled glancing back and smirking at the guard. He just looked slightly shocked and weak kneed. “Alight on my count were going to make a run for it, when I get to three were going to bolt for this so called camp, I need you to fly overhead and show me where to go, alright” He only nodded, he’s scared shitless, hell at least he can fly.
“Alright, 1…” The grip I had on the hilt of my sword tightened, “2…” I glanced back to the group behind me their faces a mixture of hopeful and fearful, and the moon princess still had her soul shattering scowl. Readying myself as I said “3…” We burst out the door, the guard took flight and I was left to face the monstrosities on the street. My sword drawn and my stance stable, today is going to be a long day.
