Everdeath
Part one.
Load Full StoryNext ChapterDo you fear dying? You know you do. Deep down you fear the time where it all ends. It could happen at any time, in any way. I however, fear life. I have died about one hundred times now. Three from suicide, eighty from accidents, seven from wild animals and ten from being murdered. But each time I die, I come back, no matter if I had been torn to shreds, my body would put itself back together and I would live on. Some ponies call it a gift, others call it a miracle. I call it a curse. Oh yeah, my name is Sargast Everdeath by the way. And this is my story.
I was in the throne room, trying to see if one of the princesses could help me. "Do you know why it happens?" Asked Princess Luna.
"Nope, it just does." I replied.
"It might be some kind of regeneration spell cast over you as a foal." Princess Twilight remarked.
"I for one see it as a blessing. You are probably destined for great things, and that is why you keep coming back." Said Princess Celestia.
"NO! It is not a blessing!" I yelled at her, she seemed taken aback by my boldness. But I continued. "You have no idea how painful death is, especially when it happens again and again, on an endless loop! If I am destined for great things I would love to shove that responsibility up somepony else's ass! I am sick and damn tired of having to feel the pain of death. It seems to be around every damn corner! One time I was using the damn washroom, a ceiling tile fell on me and crushed my skull!" I ranted on like that for another minute.
"Well maybe if you were more-" Celestia was cut off by her sister Luna.
"He is careful, I have seen him. He looks around for anything that may kill him in every room before entering. He just has the worst possible luck." As if to prove her point one of the chandeliers fell off the ceiling, striking me down. The three princesses gasped as I fell to the floor, dead, only to get up seconds later.
"See! I don't die!" I yelled.
"We will do everything we can to help you." Said Luna.
"Thank you." I said graciously.

As I walked through Ponyville a couple of foals stopped and stared. "Hey look it's the zombiepony! Cool!" One of them said. I smiled a bit, it made me happy to make other ponies happy. Then suddenly Pinkie Pie sprung out of nowhere and gasped very loudly, then ran off.
"Oh no." I muttered. "She knows where I am staying." I walked over to Sugarcube Corner to grab some muffins when Rainbowdash appeared beside me, I looked over at her.
"Hey, uhh, does Pinkie know where you live?" She asked me.
"Yes." I replied.
"Do not, I repeat do NOT go to your house until tomorrow." I knew why and I wasn't about to disobey her, last time Pinkie threw a party she got such a sugar rush that she needed to go to the emerge the next morning.
"You're new around here I guess, my name's Rainbow Dash, although I suspect you already know me." Rainbow said.
"Yeah, tales of you six got around pretty quick, do you know who I am?" I asked her.
"No, I don't think I do."
"You ever hear a zombiepony tale?"
"Yeah, tons, why?" She looked at me confused.
"Well then you've heard of me, I am the one who sparked the zombiepony tales. I don't die, well I do but I just come back to life." I said to her. She stared at me blankly.
"I don't believe you. You're pulling my leg."
"Hang around me long enough and you will believe me." I said to her flatly.
"Suuuuure, and I am an alicorn!" She said to me, chuckling to herself.
"Yep and i'm an earth pony. (I was a pegasus, I just liked to walk more after I fell to my death five times) See anypony can say bullshit, only some can tell the truth." She looked at me only now starting to think I was telling the truth. I guess swearing makes you sound more truthful?

Turns out Pinkie waited a whole night for me to come home, so I had to party anyways. It wasn't bad until Pinkie started to shovel cupcakes and pixie stix into her mouth, then it got hectic. After the party, (and after Pinkie got her stomach pumped again, and was diagnosed with diabetes.) I went into my room and looked at myself in the mirror. I had a dark green coat and a brown mane. My eyes were a dark brown. I had a cutie mark of a tombstone on my flank. (You can guess what that is for.) There was a look of sadness and despair in my eyes. I remembered the day my parents died, the day of my first death.
There was smoke everywhere, in the halls, in our rooms. I was scared, I cried out for my mom or dad but they never came. Over the crackling of the flames I could hear them calling out for me. I started to cry as I realized there was no escape. I ran over to my window and threw it open, I thought jumping was my only way of escape. I had forgotten that fire used air to breath as well. I cried out in pain as the flames jumped towards me, enveloping my tiny body. I fell the the floor, fire burning my coat, before I blacked out I could hear my parents call out to me one last time. I shook my head, once again looking into the mirror, I saw that I was crying, why shouldn't I? I walked over to my bed and crawled underneath the covers, hoping for sleep to take me away. Hoping for my nightmare of a life to finally end.
