I woke up the next morning to find a letter outside my door, it was a letter from the princesses saying that they now had Cadence there, and that she would like to meet me. So I walked out into the fresh air of Ponyville taking it all in, and headed for the train station. On my way there I saw Fluttershy, hovering near a tree, hanging birds nests in it. She was just about done when out of nowhere Rainbowdash sped past the tree, knocking all of the new nests out, she said a quick sorry as she continued on her way. Fluttershy started to put the birds nests back in when I offered to help her. Sure I was prone to dying with doing even the most mundane tasks, like walking down stairs( Ask and you die.) but that doesn't mean I am a soulless asshole who wants to help nopony but myself.

"Hey you need help with that?" I asked her.

"Well, umm, maybe. If you don't mind that is." She replied in such a quiet voice i'm sure that a pin dropping would mute her.

"I don't mind at all, my name is Sargast by the way." I said to her as I picked up the birds nests. She gasped so I looked at her expecting to see like a bunny with a hurt paw, instead she was staring right at me, with wide eyes.

"S-S-Sargast? You mean y-y-you are THE Sargast, S-Sargast E-E-Everdeath?" She looked at me while shaking in fear.

"Yes" I sighed "don't worry I mean you no harm."

"B-B-But aren't you a z-zombie?"

"Well technically yes, but not the eat your brains type. I'm just like anypony else, except I never die" She still looked spooked, so to calm her down I put the birds nests down and started to walk away.

"No! Wait!" She called after me in a loud whisper. "I didn't mean to offend you, sorry." She bowed her head.

"Hey no i'm fine, trust me I've been insulted worse than that before."I said to her

"You have?" She asked

"Yep, I've even been burned at the stake once." I said to her as I put the nests into the trees. "There, done! I'll see you around!"

"Bye!"

I rubbed my temples, these princesses were getting on my nerves. "How do you deal with them?" I whispered to Cadence.

"I don't, I moved away." She chuckled. Luna and Celestia had been arguing for over thirty minutes now. They were yelling at each other, the argument got so heated that I feared they would start using the royal equestrian voice.

"NO! I KEEP TELLING YOU SISTER, THERE IS SOME KIND OF FIELD OF MAGIC AROUND HIM!" Luna yelled at her older sister.

"THERE IS NO MAGIC FIELD, NO CURSE OF ANY TYPE. HE IS JUST THE WAY HE IS.!" Celestia yelled back.

"PRINCESSES!" Twilight yelled over the two of them, they turned and looked at her. "Luna is correct, there is a magical field around his body that continually regenerates him."

"But that is simply not possible, he is a pegasus, not a unicorn." Celestia said calmly.

"That's the thing, the magic seems to be emanating from inside of him." Said Twilight. We all looked at her confused. "The magic seems natural, it was there your whole life. It's coming from inside you, being produced by your soul, your very being is outputting the strongest regeneration spells."

"So can I stop it?" I asked hopefully.

"No, I don't believe you can." She replied gravely. I sighed and the meeting was closed for the princesses to discuss what Twilight had said.

When I got home Pinkie jumped out from one of the bushes outside my home. "Hi" she said, donning a huge smile. "Did you like the party? How is Twilight doing? Does she remember me? Want a cupcake?" She reminded me of one of my old friends, Flip Lighthoof. The thought of my old friends brought back a painful memory.

"Come on Sargast!" Called Flip, he was a dark blue pegasus pony with an orange mane. We were on lunch break and he was flying towards one of the cliffs. "Are you chicken?" He asked while making clucking noises.

"You really need to know your animals dude." I said to him, I always was a nerd. "Chickens can't fly and I'm flying, so I can't be a chicken." And with a couple of flaps I was next to him. "We going or what." Flip flew over to the cliff face and landed, panting. He wasn't much of a flyer, his wings were the normal size but they could only hold him in the air for a few minutes at most. He instead figured out a way so that he would flap them really fast, that would make a vacuum, letting him stand on vertical surfaces.

"Race you to the top!" He shouted, stepping up onto the wall. I grinned.

"You're on!" I replied. I flew over to the bottom of the cliff. "Ready? Set. GO!" I shouted. He ran up the wall while I flew, then the earthquake hit. I could see the wall rumbling underneath him, he looked over at me worried. "WATCH OUT!" I yelled as a huge boulder came crashing down over the side of the cliff, he swiftly dodged it. "Come on!" I yelled. "We need to get outta here!"

"No shit!" He yelled back. He started to dash down the wall, returning to the ground as more boulders fell. "Heads up!" He called to me, I looked up to see a boulder the size of a train car falling towards me, I easily dodged it. "That was way too close!" He said as he narrowly dodged another one.

"LOOK OUT!" I screamed as a boulder fell down, I flew over to him, trying to shove him out of the way, I never made it in time. He looked up to see the boulder come crashing down on top of him. I rushed over repeatedly whispering "No, no, no!" I started shaking him, as if I could bring him back to life with my sheer non-acceptance. I flew to the school house, faster than I had ever flown before. I burst through the door, calling for the teacher.

"What just happened out there?" She asked worried. "What's wrong?"

"F-F-Flip! H-He was hit with a rock!" I said to her, I was off my adrenaline spike now and I was shaking, hard.

"Ohmygosh." She followed me to where the Flip was, her first-aid kit in hoof. She felt his head, where the rock hit. She looked up at me, a look on her face that could only mean one thing. "He's gone." She said, there was no emotion in her voice. None of the usual happy, sing-songy voice that teachers normally had. Tears welled in my eyes, he was the only friend I ever had, the only one who had been there to help me through my parents death. I flew back to the schoolhouse, in shock. The other kids all crowded around me when I opened the door.

"What happened?" One of them asked. I looked up at the filly who had asked.

"He's dead." I said, choking back a sob.

"Hey what's that, on your flank?" Another one asked. "It looks like a, a." he gulped. "It looks like a tombstone."

I shook my head, as if to remove those memories from it. "Umm, well I'm pretty sure Twilight knows who you are." I said to Pinkie.

"You're pretty sure?" She said, worry in her voice. "Ohmygosh, she might not remember me, I need to send her a lett-"

"Pinkie" I said "Twilight wouldn't forget a friends name." I said to her.

"Good." She sighed. It was then that I realized I wouldn't either.
