Everdeath
Cinq! (5 in french)
Previous ChapterNext ChapterIt was quite stormy out as I got onto the train, leaving for Ponyville. The movie had been a complete success, the ratings were off the charts and it had made eight hundred thousand bits in the first week alone, in the second they had about five million bits to roll in! The writers had starting thinking up ideas for a sequel so we all gave the directors ways so we could be contacted when he needs us again, then we all went our separate ways, with our own separate groups of fans and paparazzi.
I sat in the normal train seating, just because I was now rich and famous doesn't mean I need to act like I am.
"OHMYGOSH!" A mare screamed as I stepped onto the train. "Can I have your autograph?" I was confused for a bit, sure I was famous, but I was only a stunt double in this movie, or at least until the end where I actually showed up as myself,no transformation magic to make me look like somepony else. I got only one line though, I would appear from nowhere after the main characters of this movie had called for a certain pony to help them in the beginning. I would then say
"You called?" Then the movie would end.
"Uhh, sure." I said to the mare while taking the pen and flip book. I had no real signature and had never practiced one, so I just decided to write my first and last name really fancy.
"OHMYGOSH THANKS!"The mare said to me, looking at the flip book I had just given back to her.
"No problem!" I replied with a smile on my face.

I took in a breath of the fresh air of Ponyville, it was clean, no smell of pollution or sounds of rushing ponies. Everything here seemed at peace, it was serene. I started walking back to my home when out of nowhere Pinkie sprang out in front of me firing off random questions.
"Hi Sargast! Did you miss us? Did you have fun? Why didn't you tell us abou-" She stopped before she finished her question, but not before I knew what she was going to ask me. "Sorry." She bowed her head, her mane starting to deflate, so I act as if I had no idea what she was going to ask to cheer her up.
"Hi Pinkie!" I said to her, and she looked up at me and her mane started to inflate again. "I missed you girls a lot." I looked around to each of them. "It was certainly different not having you around." That part was true, even though they could get on my nerves at times, they had grown on me and not having Pinkiepie around to give me my daily dose of random physics defying confusion life had gotten kinda bland. I mean sure having the ability to be a stunt double was fun and all but it eventually boiled down to me getting magically transformed into another actor, getting up into the scene, and then I would get shot, hung, stabbed, thrown off of a building or even choked. Having Pinkiepie back was defiantly going to make my days seem a little less repetitive.
"So mister movie star, what are you going to do now?" Rainbowdash said with a smirk.
"Well I feel like avoiding death for a while, and I think getting away from huge crowds will do wonders for my patients." I chuckled. Once I was situated at home I went out to the local store and bought three more safes to store my money. Turns out there is rich tax at the town bank so keeping it at my house was ideal for me. Then a thought hit me. "Why hadn't I told them that I was an orphan?" I sat on my bed and thought about it. I decided to tell them all the full story, my full story.

We were all sitting in my living room, looking quite awkward until I finally broke the ice. "I'm sorry for not telling you about my past before."
"It's okay. It isn't easy for you to tell someone about something sad in your past, trust me I know." Pinkie said. All the girls turned to look at her.
"Uhh, Pinkie, you never told us anything sad from your past." Rainbowdash said.
"Sure I have, I did tell you about the rock farm didn't I?" Pinkie replied.
"Oh, right." Rainbow said.
"So anyways i'll tell you my past, although you may not like what you hear." I said solemnly. I began to tell them my life story, all the sad parts as well as the happy parts. At the part where my old friend died I saw a couple of them wince a little but overall they seemed to understand completely.
"Wow, thanks for telling us." Twilight said to me. "I am sorry for your loss."
"Yeah, I guess I just forgot to tell you all. One thing though, don't go around saying that you're sorry for my loss every time you see me. Act like you normally would." They all nodded their heads in unison. Rainbowdash finally asked the question that was on all of the girls minds.
"So is your special talent coming back from the dead, or causing other ponies to die?" She asked me.
"I truthfully don't know. I said to her. "But I am pretty sure that it is because I come back from the dead." The girls still looked a little nervous around me but they seemed a little more at ease. I looked outside, it was now late. The girls noticed too, and all gave brisk goodbyes before departing. I drank a glass of water and then went upstairs into my room and crawled into my bed.

"Hello again Sargast." I looked around, I was in a windowless room. The only things inside were a door, me, and a large throne. Upon closer inspection I saw the throne was made out of bones, pony bones. "The time for you to play your part draws ever closer. What will you choose. Who will you choo-." I cut off the deep voice with my own questions.
"Who the freaking hay are you? Why the frig are you screwing with my mind?" I yelled angrily.
"No need for anger Sargast, you will know soon enough." The voice boomed. My surroundings were turning into fog.
"Oh no, not this time." I growled. "If there was ever a time to defy all of logic and physics now is that time. "NO!" I yelled at the approaching fog. It stopped about five feet from me. "You listen up you stupid piece of donkey crap! I am not going to fall for any of you stupid evil plans or schemes. I am gonna hunt you down!" Then the fog started to roll in around my hooves.
I woke up, thrashing in my bed. "Another stupid nightmare, what the buck is up with this stupid choice of mine." I decided to go back to the castle and tell the princesses about my latest clue.

"What did you say the throne was made out of?" Luna asked, of all of the story she seemed the most interested in that.
"It was made out of pony bones, why? Does that mean anything to you?" I asked her.
"Oh no, if I am correct, and I hope I am not. All of these clues point to only one being. A necromancer." She replied.
"A necromancer, as in bring the dead back to life necromancer." I asked her, stunned. If the stories about necromancers he had been told as a foal were true, these were ruthless gods with the power to summon an army of dead ponies with ease. They didn't even have to be unicorns. They could be pegasi or earth ponies too, they would just have to use a staff crafted in the forges of the hottest volcano in all of Equestria. Luna sighed.
"Sargast there is only one type of necromancer." She said to me.
"Well that would explain his interest in me." I said to her, she seemed confused. "Well either he is the one bringing me back every time I die, or I can do it all by myself and he wants to use my powers for evil."
"Hmm, this I must consider." Luna replied to me. "If you have any more dreams like this you have to come to me immediately." I left the castle after that.
"A necromancer!" I said to myself. "How could I have gotten the attention of one of those?" I looked down the long road leading from the castle. I took to the skies and flew back to Ponyville.

"A necromancer?" The girls said in unison, they were good at that. We were all standing in the throne room of Princess Celestia.
"Yes girls, and Sargast."She said glancing over at me. She had been treating me differently today, not the usual we will find a way to help you type of attitude. She seemed worried about me, who wouldn't, I could the time bomb that the necromancer was looking for. "A necromancer, and we have identified him. His name is Stronghorn Deadriser, and he is extremely powerful. That is why I have chosen you seven to go on a quest to put an end to his plan before it even starts. It will be a long journey, so take anything you may not want to be without for a long period of time." It was then that Luna walked in.
"Sister, I have finished the map!" She said, she seemed happier than usual.
"Ah, thank you dear sister." Celestia said to her sister warmly, taking the scroll from her extended hoof.
"I have also finished preparing for the quest!" Luna continued.
"Ah yes, Luna will be accompanying you. She will help you along the way and keep you on track. As well she will be guiding you to the stronghold of Deadriser." Celestia said, turning to us. "I suggest you go and prepare right now." She then finished up the meeting and we all departed to get our belongings together.

I turned the key in the lock, hearing it click open I opened up the cabinet. Inside was a sheathed sword, taking it out and unsheathing it I saw the blade was still sharp. I looked it over, a perfectly crafted hoof and a half sword, sharp enough to cut through flesh and bone with a flick of the wrist. Re-sheathing it I strapped it over myself, it was quite light, the heaviest thing being my heavy-duty saddle bag.I took one last look at my home before I headed off to the edge of the Everfree forest, where our quest would begin.
