A stallion walked into a room with many different gadgets and machines. On the far end, a pony was typing furiously.

"The subjects are as normal. Subject 612 bleeds a lot less, and is getting used to odd ways of using the mouth." the gray stallion said to the yellow one, who was still typing.

"612 is Subject LIPS, right?"

"Yes." the stallion nodded, looking at the floor. His dark gray, almost black, mane fell in his face. "Subject 613, KLUTZ, has resorted to crawling around. It'll make her easier to catch for later tests, I suppose."

"Ha ha, yes. She would always thrash about. Clumsy, but fast." the yellow stallion's tail shifted, revealing the picture of a game controller on his left flank. Of course, the same image was on the right.

"Now then, Book Slasher, go check on Subject SIGHT. I don't know when we'll remove her other eye, but I want to see how she functions with only her right eye."

"Affirmative, GameCheats." the gray stallion turned away. His cutie mark was a sword crossing through a bow.

"Wait...what's this?" GameCheats's eyes widened. He typed frantically, but his bulky hooves caused him to bump the wrong button.

"No...no........"

"What's wrong?!" Book Slasher whirled around.

"NO!!" Yellowish-orange light consumed the entire room, and the blast shook the others. Sleeping subjects were woken from their rest, and ones already awake immediately looked to see if their inmates were okay before looking towards the room the blast had come from. They couldn't see it, but the room had been completely destroyed. A complication with a program GameCheats had been testing.

"I-isn't that the testing room?" a lavender mare frowned, forcing herself to stop gnawing on the dull wound protruding from where her front left hoof had been amputated along with the others except the back right.

"It is." another gray mare clarified. Dried blood caked her mouth, and you could see her teeth. After all, her lips had been torn off. She moved a few strands of her black-and-red mane away. "Weren't the main workers in there?"

"Yes." a one-eyed turquoise mare nodded, looking at the dark gray pegasus.
