Chapter 2 - Cyberman Uprising

The Cyberman took a step towards the group of ponies, ready to execute them on the spot.
"Stop right there!"
The Cyberman froze at these words. It lowered its arm and pointed it at the Doctor.
"State your name, organic."
The Doctor stood up to full height and looked at the Cyberman with a grin.
"I'm the Doctor, and you're a Cyberman."
The Cyberman's eyes flashed blue very faintly before it lowered it's arm completely.
"State your purpose for being here, Doctor."
The Doctor chuckled lightly before shaking his head.
"No, that is what I want to know. What are you doing here?"
The Doctor spoke with a calm and casual tone while Derpy and the other pony were stiff with fear.
"Cyberman are all about assimilation, not extermination. That being said, you have literally no reason to be here. There are no life forms on this planet that are eligible for an upgrade. Killing them means nothing to you emotionless husks. So, I will repeat myself."
The Doctor takes one step forward to the Cyberman, which is still motionless.
"What. Are you doing here?"
The Cyberman stood still for a few seconds longer before responding.
"A malfunction with our inter-dimensional teleporter stranded us in this hidden part of reality."
The Doctor smiled, victory seeming close.
"So, this was all an accident?"
"Affirmative."
"Well then, why don't you just leave?"
The Cyberman's eyes lit up once again, a bit longer this time. After its eyes went back to normal, the Cyberman stood there f or a few seconds longer once more.
"We have formed an ideal conclusion. We shall return, Doctor."
The Cyberman raised its right arm and slammed its right hand onto the symbol on its chest. A very thick, grey smoke was expelled from the body of the Cyberman. The Doctor and Derpy coughed and hacked, waving the smoke away to reveal the Cyberman was gone from his previous position.
The Doctor rubbed his forehead and shook it roughly.
"No! I lost him. Arrgh. What did it mean by an 'Ideal conclusion'?"
The pink pony appeared in front of the Doctor with great speed and a large smile on her face.
"Thanks for saving me! My name is Pinkie Pie! You must be new here, because I know everypony in Ponyville! And if I don't know you, it means you're new here!"
The Doctor ignored her and pushed past her, stuck in his own thoughts.
"What did he mean by that...?"
Derpy flew up and over to where the Doctor was, poking his shoulder.
"Um, Doctor. What's wrong? The big metal monster is gone."
The Doctor turned around to face Derpy with a serious look.
"First off, the fact that it's gone is dreadful! We have no idea where he could be! Second off, that wasn't some mindless 'monster', it was a Cyberman. A highly intelligent race of modified life forms that had all emotion drained from them. Thirdly-"
The Doctor pointed a hoof to Derpy's wings.
"-since when did you have wings?"
Derpy blushed and landed on the floor. Pinkie Pie walked up next to the couple.
"Wait, how do you know all that Mr. Doctor?"
The Doctor turned to Pinkie with a small smile.
"It's just 'the Doctor' thanks. And I know all that, because I'm a Timelord. Now, if you'll excuse us."
The Doctor walked out of the bakery with Derpy following behind, and a very confused Pinkie Pie left in the bakery. Derpy walked along side the Doctor as he was looking around, most likely for where the Cyberman went.
"Doctor, what do you mean you're a Timelord? You look like an ordinary earth pony to me!"
The Doctor kept looking around, but answered the question.
"I looked like a full bodied Timelord before my ship, the TARDIS, was caught in a tear inside the Time Vortex. When I landed some outside force must have made me look like a pony."
Derpy just shook her head in deep confusion and a slight frown formed on her face.
"I have no idea what any of that means."
The Doctor continued walking around until he reached a newspaper stand. What made him stop, was the picture of the sky with something crashing towards the ground. He stopped, making Derpy bump into him, and pointed a hoof at the newspaper.
"Derpy, what does that say?"
Derpy shook her head and looked to the paper.
"Um, it says a mysterious object fell from the sky and landed in the Everfree Forest. Nopony has gone inside to check on it, and Zecora said she's had a look, but couldn't find anything."
The Doctor nodded and smiled.
"I'm willing to bet my screwdriver that was the Cyberman ship. Wait, my screwdriver! Where is it?!"
The Doctor reached behind him and pulled out the familiar metallic object.
"Where did...? Okay, look never mind."
He reached back and replaced the screwdriver.
"Doctor, if they crashed in the Everfree, what would a Cyberman be doing in Sugarcube Corner?"
"Reconnaissance. They needed to know where they were and what was here, so I'd say they tried teleporting a scout to the town, but since the teleporter was partially damaged, it went off course slightly."
Derpy cocked her head to the right.
"How do you guess that?"
"Cyberman aren't all about stealth, they would've tried sending the scout to the middle of town. They wouldn't care who saw them, with the illusion that no one could stop them stuck in their heads."
"Doctor."
"Yes, Derpy?"
"I'm scared."
The Doctor turned around to see Derpy with tears in her eyes.
"What will they do to us?"
The Doctor placed a reassuring hoof on Derpy's shoulder and looked her in the eyes with a confident gaze.
"You listen to me. No matter what, how or when, I will never let them do anything to any of you. I swear on my life that I will protect you all to the bitter end. You hear me?"
Derpy smiled a weak smile, tears pouring down her face, and embraced the Doctor in a hug.
"Thank you, Doctor."
"Don't mention it."
Derpy released him from the embrace and wiped the tears away. The Doctor smiled and looked around frantically.
"Right, so where is the Everfree Forest?"
Derpy smiled and flew up just above the ground.
"Doctor, follow me!"
The Doctor looked up to the pegasus and laughed as she flew towards the Everfree Forest with the Doctor following behind.
"Alonns-y!"
~Everfree Forest Entrance~
"Here we are, Doctor."
Derpy and the Doctor stood outside the entrance to the Everfree Forest. The Doctor smiled and motioned his head to the forest.
"Alright, let's go!"
The Doctor walked into the forest with Derpy by his side. He pulled out his sonic screwdriver with his mouth (He still doesn't know where he keeps it) and turned it on, pointing it in every direction to see if he could find out where the Cybermen were.
"Doctor, what is that thing in your mouth?"
"Mh suhnk skroo drphr."
"Um, excuse me?"
The Doctor pulled the sonic screwdriver from his mouth with a hoof and began walking on three legs.
"My sonic screwdriver. Alien technology, you wouldn't know what it is."
Derpy gasped and giggled with glee.
"So what you said before, it was true! You really are an alien, aren't you?"
"That's right. I'm an alien. A Timelord, to be exact. One of the oldest races in the universe."
"Where are the other Timelords? I bet they miss you."
The Doctor stopped in his tracks and gave Derpy a sad look.
"...There...are no other Timelords, Derpy. I'm all alone."
Derpy smiled sadly and grabbed him in a hug again.
"Not as long as I'm here, you're not."
The Doctor smiled and returned the hug. They broke apart and the Doctor nodded, and started walking through the forest again, Derpy by his side.
After a minute or so, the Doctor's screwdriver made a higher pitched noise right near a large bush.
"Found them. They're right ahead."
The Doctor pocketed his screwdriver and turned to Derpy.
"Keep quiet. Stay by me at all times."
Derpy nodded and the Doctor looked to the bush, reaching forward and splitting it apart to reveal a Cyberman looking down at them. The Doctor whispered one thing before the Cyberman reached forward and grabbed him.
"Bugger."
~Few Hours Later~
The Doctor was woken to the sound of Derpy, calling out his name.
"...Doctor....Doctor.....DOCTOR WAKE UP!"
The Doctor shot up from the floor and looked around. Him and Derpy were in a chrome colored cage that looked like something an animal would be held in. Around them were dozens of Cyberman, all positioned in a defensive style around the two. They were aboard the Cyberman Ship.
"Doctor. We meet at last."
A small section of the Cyberman broke apart to reveal a slightly larger Cyberman, adorned with armour and a helmet.
"I am the Cyber-Commander. Welcome to our ship."
The Doctor groaned and stood up, keeping his gaze upon the Cyber-Commander.
"What do you want, eh? You have nothing left on this planet! Get out of here!"
"Incorrect, Doctor. We Cybermen can do one thing no other life forms can do."
The Doctor laughed at such an accusation.
"Oh yeah? And what's that? Rust?"
"Adapt."
A Cyberman from the area walked up to the cage and opened the door, reaching in and grabbing Derpy.
"Doctor! Help!"
The Doctor reached for her and grabbed her hoof, pulling as hard as he could.
"Derpy! I can't hold on much longer!"
The Cyberman gave a mighty tug, pulling the Doctor from Derpy's grasp as it closed the cage.
"You mentioned our technology is incompatible with the native species around here. This was true, until we adapted it."
The Cyberman walked over to the Cyber-Commander, holding a struggling Derpy right up to him.
"Let go! Doctor! Help!"
The Doctor could only watch in fear as the Cyber-Commander placed a small device to the side of Derpy's head.
"Although we cannot fully convert them into Cyber form, this is adequate for now."
The Cyber-Commander raised an arm and pushed a small button on his wrist, making the device on Derpy light up.
Immediately, Derpy stopped struggling. The Cyberman lowered her to the ground. The Doctor prayed that she would run, or call out his name. But no luck.
Derpy turns around and faces the Doctor with an emotionless gaze, while the device on her blinks a blue light.
"No...No, Derpy! C'mon! Snap out of it!"
"You have failed this time, Doctor. This time, the Cybermen shall rise to victory!"
