Now Full grown colt, Blade is running for Mayor, just as he had hoped for, and High Flyer made it into the Pros, and is the star of the league. “Hey bro, me and Flash Flare are gonna go and play some ball later, you want in?” High flyer asked. “Uh, yea sure, why not normal place, normal time?” “As always,” “Alright, see ya then” Blade says as he hangs up the phone.
“Did I just hear that your brother, the “soon to be” mayor of this place is gonna ball with us later? Ha, This is gonna be fun.” Flash flare said laughing. “I wouldn’t underestimate him; he was good enough to get offered 3 scholarships to play basketball.” “Then what is he doing running for Mayor?” “He said something like, “I’ll be like dad” and no pony can stop me.” High Flyer said as a smirk grew over his face. “Wow, he really is insane.” Flash Flare said as he started back into the kitchen. “Hey, I just thought of something hilarious.” Flash Flare said trotting back into the room. “What is it now?” High flyer said, almost sounding annoyed. “The election isn’t for another 3 weeks right.” “Yea, so” “What if you run under a different name, and try to win. And if you do, you can just say it was a joke and give the title to Blade.” High Flyer pondered that thought for a moment, and then grinned at the thought of it. “Sure let’s do it!” High flyer said smiling, but Flash Flare’s face was more of a confused look. “Bro, I was joking, you know your brother always hated you though high school, what if you do this and he finally snaps!?” “He won’t, trust me” daylight said picking up the phone to call in to the ballet. “Hello, this is, um….. roller turn, calling in to put my name into the race for mayor.” High flyer said smiling at this childish plot. “Alright man, but it’s your funeral. “
“Hello mares and gentle-colts, and welcome to the announcing of the winner of the election for mayor.” Blade is sitting over in his area looking at his phone to check the time. “Hey, Blade!” High Flyer said as he walked over to shake hoofs with his brother. “Hey, bro. What’s up.” “Nothing just came to see the winner of the election.” “Ah, Cool,” Blade said. “Excuse me everypony, the polls are in!” Blade and High Flyer both turn their attention to the grey mare on stage. “Now, it was a close race, but by 17 votes, the winner is……… ROLLER TURN! Congratulations!” the audience starts to cheer “WHAT!!!!! How did I lose?’ Blade said in disbelief. “I’m really sorry bro, I didn’t think I would actually win, I just thought it would be funny to give you a little competition” High Flyer said. “I got to go and accept the title. Again, I’m really sorry.” High Flyer said as he trotted up to the stage.What, it was Flyer the entire time. No…no, this can’t be! I will kill him! Blade thinks as he runs out of town square.
“How, How could this be?” Blade asks himself. “I must kill him, so I can take my rightful place at the top.” As Blade throws his saddle bag onto the bed, the phone starts to ring. “Hello” questioned Blade. “Hey man, it’s me” High Flyer said, sounding guilty. “What do you want!” he hollers at his brother. “Bro, I want you to come over to my house tonight for dinner. I need to tell everypony something..” High Flyer says. This could be my one chance to take back what is rightfully mine. Blade thinks. “Sure, I’d love to. See you tonight.” Blade says as he hangs up the phone. “Tonight will begin with two mayors, but end with one….

Later that night, Blade arrives to find his brother greeting his guests. “Blade, Nice to see you again, long time no see, huh” High Flyer says nudging his brother. “Yea and it will be longer yet.” Blade whispers. “Man, I need to talk to you upstairs. Come with me.” High Flyer says pointing up the stairs.” He has just sealed his own fate…. Blade thinks.
Now up in Daylights room, Blade starts to pull his knife out of his saddle bag while high flyer is in the bathroom. “Man, I’m really sorry about what happened today. I didn’t think I was going to win. The reason I invited you here tonight was to make it right.” High flyer said, as he walks out of the restroom. “Allow me to do that!” Blade Says diving, knife first at his brother. The knife goes straight into his heart. High Flyer’s face is ridden with confusion. “But, Why?” he asks with little air. “Because I’m tired of losing, and that was the last straw. Thank you for inviting me, it was fun.” Blade says as he pushes his brother back to the floor. What have I done…..? Blade thinks in disbelief. “I have done what is right." He says to himself.

As Blade walks down the stairs, he notices a cut on his front leg. “Probably gonna want to hide that” blade says to himself quietly. He reaches the bottom, and is greeted by Flash flare. “Bro, Fly told me that he wanted you to read the intro on the podium, his said it was important you do that.” “Alright, I’ll do that now.” Blade says as he walks up onto the stage. Blade reaches the podium, and there is as note on the stand. He reads it and stands there in disbelief. “No, this, this can’t be true…” he says to himself. “I killed him, but he was going to name me mayor… “Blade starts to wobble back and forth. “Blade, Look out!” Flash Flare yells from across the room. Blade stumbles in his dizziness and falls off the stage “NO!” he hears Flash flare yell
Blade violently awakes from his dream, drowned in sweat. “What, it was all just a dream?” Blade lies there in confusion. All of a sudden, he hears his mom holler to him, “Blade, Time for dinner!" He sits up in bed, pondering what he had just imagined. Was it all just a dream? Blade thinks. He stands up to go have dinner, but something catches his eye. “Wha….” Blade says, looking in shock at his front leg. And there, on his front leg, in the exact same spot, lies the cut he had made while stabbing his brother…
“Hey Flyer, what’s up!” “Hey Fly, How’s it goin” Wattson had to hear this every day he spent with his brother. Daylight was the most popular kid in school, and everypony around knew it. He was the star of the basketball team, his dad was the Mayor of Fillydelphia, and his mom was the best chef in town. He hated every minute he spent with his brother, but he really had nowhere else to go, so he was stuck hanging out with him.
“Do you even no those guys?” questioned Blade. “Are you kidding me, I get that like 60 times a day! If I knew eveypony who said “hi” to me in a day, I wouldn’t remember any of my school work.” High flyer said, laughing. “Wow” Blade said in disgust “if I hear anypony say, “What’s up Flyer” one more time, I think I’m gonna lose it.” Blade whispered under his breath. And this continued for the rest of the day. “Hi boys” said a mare sitting on her porch. “Hi Ms. Breeze,” They said in unison. The colts continued down the road to their home to get ready for dinner. “Hey boys, how was our day at school today?” Their mother said. “Pretty good, I guess” Said Blade as he walked up the stairs to his room. “What’s wrong with your brother?” questioned their mom, stirring cake batter. “I haven’t the foggiest; he seemed fine at lunch today.” High Flyer said, “Hey, where’s Grey?” Just then, a grey and white wolf appeared in the room and jumped onto daylight, “oh, there he is, that a boy. You wanna go for a run? Yea, let’s go! See you later mom!” High Flyer said running out the door with Grey. “Bye” she hollered back “Be home by five, dinner will be ready” she said as she walked back into the house. The purple and red mare walked over to the stairs and just stared up them. “I really hope Blade is okay, I don’t want him to get in trouble for his temper.” She said in a monotone voice as she walked back to her dinner.
Up in Blade’s room, he lies on his bed, pondering what all happened today. “Man, I can’t wait till I’m old enough to run for mayor.” Blade said, reaching for the key around his neck. He pulls open a drawer and pulls out a blue box, he sticks the key into the lock on the box, and it opens. “One Day. One day I will be the popular one, and everypony will forget about High Flyer. One day I will be the new mayor of Fillydelphia, just like my dad.” He says as he pulls out a paper. And if anypony gets in my way…. they won’t live to see what comes next.” Blade says as he lays his head down to the pillow, and falls to sleep.
