Vinyl's new song

Chapter Four

"Well hello Ms. Vinyl please come in." Dj Mic said to Vinyl as she stood in the doorway to a big round office.  Vinyl stepped in and the Dj said "I loved that demo you made.  How would you like to start a record lable with us?"

"Oh yes!  When can we start?" Vinyl questioned with no hessataion.

"Ok then.  Heres what we are going to do, we will play your song on the radio and see how much everypony else likes this song."  Dj Mic said.

"Ok no problem you can count on me Sr." Vinyl said with such enthusiasm.

"I'm glad to hear that.  Alrighty then now lets talk about making more music, I will give you your own studio to practice and make your songs.  How long do you think it will take for you to make me a new song so we can let all of eqestria hear this amazing music?"

"Umm I'm not sure that song only took me a little while to make." Viny said as she pointed to a small stereo that was playing her song.

Scratch his chin Dj Mic said "Ok well how about this i'll give you about a week to make me a new song that way you can get it perfect."

"Sounds like a plan when can I start?" Vinyl questioned.

"Well if you want we can start now.  Follow me to see your studio." the Dj said as he started to walk out of his office toward the elevator doors.

Upon pushing the top button Vinyl questioned "Arn't the recording studios down stairs?"

"Oh those are for ponies who are renting them no you miss Vinyl yo now have your private studio all to yourself." the Dj said as the elevator doors opened to the biggest studio Vinyl had ever seen with an amazing view of the whole city of Filly Delphia.  Vinyl just stood there in awe at the fact the this was her very own studio.  "And did I forget to mention that this room is sound prof and has a bedroom, bathroom, and a small kitchen to the back so this is not only your recording studio but now your new house."

"No way this is all mine..I mean why all this for some pony that made one good song whos to say that I wasn't just lucky at making that song and the rest will be absolutly terrible?" Vinyl said.

"I see greatness in you kid, plus this is who you were ment to be your cutie mark says it all your ment to make music and thats what you need to do." The Dj said.

"But what about my stuff in my house I cant just leave it all behind" Vinyl replied.

"Don't worry about that I had that all taken care of while we talked in my office i had some moving ponies move your things up here if you have any questioned just come down to my office and ask." Dj Mic said to Vinyl.

"Well I'd better get started on making that song for you." Vinyl said still trying to understand what just happened with her new life she was starting.  Once Dj Mic left Vinyl's company she took a deep breath and started to work.  Once Vinyl's hooves touched the turn tables and sound board her heart started to race faster and faster she had a tingling rush run down her back as if her body was connected to them as she started making a song.  She started off with a tempo of 140 bpm (beats per min.) and a heavy bass along with some lyrics that she had decided to muffle to give it a robotic sound to it.  After getting about halfway done with her song Vinyl decide to go for a walk around Filly Delphia to strech her legs and get some fresh air.  After walking around for about a half hour she found a music store the sold all kinds of records in just about every genere ranging from Classical to modern day rap and hip-hop.  Vinyl walked around the store for a little while when she suddenly ran into a gray mare with a charcoal colored main carrying a big stack of records knocking them all over the floor.  "I'm so sorry I dont know what I was thinking." Vinyl said with an embarrassed tone as she helped pick up the records with her magic.

"Oh it's quit alright I truly shouldnt be walking around with this many records." the gray earth pony said in a very elegant tone.

When Vinyl looked into the ponies eyes an over whelming sensation came over her her heart felt as if it had melted she quickly had to say something so she wouldn't seem weird. "Oh I see you like classical music do you play an instrument?"

"Why yes I do, I play the cello for an orchestra here in Filly Delphia and you, do you play anything?" the gray mare asked.

"Sorta I make dubstep or house music." Vinyl replied as she scratched the back of her head.

"I can't say I know what that is." the gray mare said with a confused look on her face.

"Oh is all made from computers and sound boards with alot of bass and fast tempoed beats." Vinyl said.

"Sounds interesting.  Well I really must be going I have cello practice that I cant be late for i'll see you around if your up around here again." the gray pony said.

"Ya i'll see ya around." Vinyl said trying to act cool. Vinyl turned around to keep looking at music when she relized she never got the ponies name when se turned around to ask the gray mare was already gone.  Later that night when Vinyl was finishing up her song she kept think of that gray earthpony "What was so special about you that I can't get you out of my head!?!  Your a mare and i'm a mare that would never work mares dont go for other mares its just not right and besides im sure somepony like her has their own special somepony." Vinyl said aloud as she face hooved herself.

Later the next day Vinyls new manager Dj Mic ran up to her and asked "Is your second song done yet?"

"No not yet i'm just finishing up the last part of it why?" Vinyl questioned.

"Because you are going to be the opener of the concer for BassDrop and Flashing lights at the Tail-Spin Center two very big artist and if your good enough they want to take you on tour with them."

"Oh Celestia this is great news thank you i'm going to go finish up right now!" Vinyl ran to her studio and started to finish the song minutes later Vinyl walked into her boss' office to give him the finished song.

"Great work Vinyl I know you'll do great next friday night." Dj Mic said to Vinyl as he started listening to her new song.
