Vinyl's new song

Chapter Five

After getting the news of being the opener to the show friday night Dj Mic handed Vinyl over some flyers to put up all over town and hand out to ponies so the word about the show would get around.  So Vinyl did as instructed and started to go around Filly Delphia handing out flyers and putting them up everywhere.  She then remembered the music store and thought that would be a perfect place to set up some of the flyers.  Once Vinyl walked in the music shop there stood the gray mare Vinyl stayed up for hours thinking about.  "Hey didn't think i'd seeyou here again." Vinyl said as she walked up to the mare.

"Same to you as well.  By the way I never cought your name last time we met." the gray pony said.

"Oh yea the names Vinyl." Vinyl replied

"Well it's nice to meet you Vinyl, I am Octavia, and what is it you have there?" Octavia asked.

"Oh they're some flyers for a gig that i'm opening for you should come its going to be pretty awesome." Vinyl said as she floated a flyer from the stack to Octavia.

"Hmm maybe, I will have to see what i'm doing that evening but if i'm free I might stop by." Octavia replied.

"That would be cool if you could I mean you don't have to but if you want like I said that'd be cool." Vinyl said as she started to blush.

"Hmhm, do your checks always turn that color when you talk to people." Octavia said as she chuckled at the sight of Vinyls checks.

"Yea sorry I kinda felt embarrassed fr asking." Vinyl said as she tryed to hide her red checks by looking down

"Well I have to get going i'll see if I can make it to your "gig" have a good day Vinyl." Octavia said as she walked away.

"Yea see ya later." Vinyl replied face hooving herself when Octavia left her sight.  "Why would you blush Vinyl?!  Seriously she was right there now she probably wont come." Vinyl said to herself.  After Vinyl finished giving away the rest of the flyers she went back to her studio to make some more music upon making a new song she thought of how Octavia said she played the cello so Vinyl looked up different chords that the cello played incorperating them into a song she enjoyed the sound of the higher pitched notes so she sped up the notes and add a bit of her own twist adding bass and some rap lyrics.  "Aghh!  Why are you in my head octavia why!?" Vinyl questioned.

The next morning Vinyl's manager knocked on her door "Yo Vinyl you up yet?" He shouted.

"Yea yea i'm up hold on." Vinyl caled out as the knocking continued.  "Yo whats up?" Vinyl asked as she opened the door to her manager.

"You gotta get ready for the gig tonight." Her manager replied.

"Shit it's already Friday?" Vinyl asked.

"Yup you got a big day ahead of you." Dj Mic said.

"Why what are we doing?" Vinyl questioned.

"You have to meet the artist that your opening for at the Hay Stack Cafe for lunch and we have to get all set up for the show." Dj Mic replied.  "So if  were you I would probably takea shower and brush you teeth because that morning breath is pretty bad."

"Yea that sounds like a good idea." Vinyl said as she headed toward her bathroom.  Once she was done with her teeth and her shower the two of them set out for there busy day.

"Hey you must be Vinyl nice to meet you." Flashing Lights said as the two Djs entered the resturaunt they were meeting the music artist in.  "Bassdrop should be here any minute he said there was a bit of traffic so he's going to be a little late.  Shall we order some lunch?"

"That sounds great." Dj Mic said as the three of them sat down and picked up the're menus.

"So I hear you're pretty good with a turn table.  Mic here sent me one of your songs and I have to say I was very impressed when I listened have you ever thought about going on tour before" Flashing Lights asked as Vinyl choked on the water she was drinking at the thought of going on tour with professional.

"Uh no I cant say that I have." Vinyl replied

"Oh it's great gettin to go all over seeing the world and going to the most amazing parties you've ever seen it's pretty sick if I say so myself." Flashing Lights replied.

"Sorry i'm late everypony, nopony in this town knows how to drive.  No offence." Bassdrop said as he rushed into the resturaunt.

"None taken." Dj Mic said

"I was just asking Vinyl here if she wanted to come on tour with us." Flashing Lights announced

"Oh yea you would love it just think about it a new city every night and you could probably have and guy you want." Bassdrop said ashe winked at his last comment.

"Haha sounds fun." Vinyl said but the only pony in this world that she wanted was that octavia at least thats what her head keeps telling her.  An hour later the two parties finished their meals and headed out to  go get set up for the show that evening.  "Hey Mic I got a favor I need taken care of doyou think you could help me out?" Viny asked.

"Sure what is?" Dj Mic replied

"I need to see if a friend of mine is going to come to the show do you think you could send somepony to ask her?" Vinyl asked hoping he would say yes.

"Anything for you." He said as he called over some messanger pegasus standing around with a sandy colored mane and a gray coat with her eyes in different directions.  "I need you to go ask miss Vinyl's friend if shes coming to the show.  Vinyl what is your friend's name?"

"It's Octavia." Vinyl replied.

"Oh wow!  Octavia how did somepony like you become friends with somepony whos all up tight like that?" Mic shockingly asked.

"I dont know we just talked about music and became friends." Vinyl replied

"Huh well good for you.  You herd her go ask miss Octavia if shes coming." He said to the gray pegasus.  A little while later the gray pegasus arived at a mansion with a big gate that had a treble clef in the center of it.

"Whos there?" a voice over an intercom asked.

"Hello my name is Ditzy Doo I have a message for a miss Ocativa." Ditzy said to the voice.

"Yes what is it?" the voice asked.

"Your friend Viny was wondering if you would be chance have the time to com to her show tonight at the Tail-Spin Center?" Ditzy replied.

"Tell her I will be there to see her show." the voice announced.
