Behind the Shades

Chapter Six

As Vinyl looks out from behind stage she sees hundreds of screaming fan beggin to fill the Tail-Spin Center.  "I cant do this there are so many ponies out there!" She shouted to Mic who was standing nex to her.

"Oh dont worry theres not that many ponies here." Mic tried to reasure her just before a voice came over an intercom back stage.

"Congrats everypony we have a sold out concert." the voice said.

"Ok then I stand corrected but still no need  to worry you'll do just fine." Mic said to the nervous Vinyl.

"I dont know about this I feel sick im not sure I can go on." Vinyl said as she felt like she was about to vomit.

"Your just a little nervous thats all.  Hey Flashig Lights come over here for a sec would ya."

"Yo what is it." Flashing Lights  asked as he slightly laughed for no reason.

"Please tell Vinyl that everything will be alright I have to take care of something I will be right back." Mic said as he trotted off.

"Dude Vinyl yur all tensed up about this who thing here take this its what i use to help me loosen up before a show and it should wear off just before your done with the opener." the Dj said as he passed Vinyl a small pill.  "Take this and you'll be all better trust me I know."

"What is it?" Vinyl asked.

"Only the best thing ever.  Hey did you just see that chicken wearing a top hat?" Flashing Lights asked as he was hallucinating from his drugs.

"What are you taking about?  A chicken what now im so confussed." Vinyl said.

"Never mind me just take that and youll be fine." he said as he slipped away.

"Ok then if you say so." Vinyl said as she slipped the pill into her mouth.  Moments later Vinyls whole world completely exploded with vibrant colors and moving objects that weren't really there. "Whoa!" Vinyl said as she just looked around giggling at everything she saw.

"Vinyl your on in 10 min." an older mare said to her.

"Ok whatever you say captain." Vinyl said as she stammered over to the edge of the stage awaiting the que to go on.

"Your on Vinyl Go show them what you got." Dj Mic said Vinyl then walked out onto the stage where hundreds of ponies were including one small gray earth pony that was in for bit of a suprise at what she was about to hear.

"Are you ready!?" Vinyl yelled through a microphone.  The whole crowd started to scream.  "Lets do it." Vinyl said as the lights slowly turned down and a laser light show started up as Vinyl started her new song when the bass dropped everyone started jumping around screaming as if they ha all lost their minds the music got louder and louder as the song went on and the bass just got heavier.  The gray mare in the crowd was not expectin aything like this she was not used to the bass shaking her whole body like it did.  After Vinyls first song ended she quickly switched over to her next peice so she wouldn't loose the a she yelled "I got one more for you crazy ponies." She shouted to the crowd as the responded to her with more screams.  Again the bass was loud and everypony danced to the music and pushed eachother aroundlike a mosh pit once Vinyl's drugs wore off she was just finishing the end of he song.

As soon as the musicstoped everypony just satthere chanting.  "VINYL VINYL VINYL!!!" over and over.

"Thank you everypony it's been great." Vinyl said as she walked off stage and Flashing Lights and Bassdrop walked on.

Vinyls manager Mic was right there when she got behind stage.  "See I told you you would be fine nothing to it." he said.  "And you friend Octavia is here to see you.  She is in your dressing room."

"Thanks." Vinyl said.  "Hey you." Vinyl said as she walked into the dressing room.

"Oh hey there." Octavia replied

"So...what did you think?" Vinyl asked.

"Well it was different from what im used to thats for sure." Ocatvia answered.  "But not bad I felt different when I herd it."

"Yea thats the pure awesomness of my music haha." Vinyl playfully said.

"You know I have a concert tomorrow that you should come to, if you want I will save a seat for you." Octavia said.

"Yea that sounds pretty cool.  By the way whats your number so I can text you?" Viyl asked

"Oh here let me see your phone." Octavia said as Vinyl floated over her cell.  "There you go its under Octavia."

"Thanks.  I'll text you now so you have my number." Vinyl said.  "So you wanna get out of here and go get something to eat?"

"That sounds wonderful where at?  I havn't eaten yet." Octavia said.

"I dont really care you can decide if you want." Vinyl replied.

"Lets go back to my place I'm pretty good at cooking if I do say so myself." Octavia glottingly said with a chuckle at the end.

"Little full of yourself arn't you haha." Vinyl laughed.

"Oh hush now hmhm." Octavia chuckled again. "Shall we?" she asked as she pointed a hoof at the door.

"Lets." Vinyl said.  "When they arrived to Octavia's house Vinyl commented on the large gate.  "Wow need a bigger gate?"

"My parents thought it was neccecary for some odd reason but oh well." Ocatvia replied.  When the two of them got inside Octavia asked "Do you want anything to drink?"

"Got any beer?" Vinyl asked.

"Hmmm im not sure I never drink that stuff if anything I will have wine.  Would you like some of that?" Octavia asked.

"Sure why not." Vinyl replied.

"Ok then I will be right back." Octavia said as she walked into the next room.  Vinyls eyes wondered down towards the cellist flank when she walked away when Octavia turned back to ask something when she noticed what Vinyl was doing she quickly asked "Vinyl were you just looking at my flank?"

Blood quickly rushed to her face as she said "What no of course not haha thats silly I was just looking at the wall thats all."

"Mhmm and what is so interesting about that wall that you just had to stair at it?" she asked trying to playfully make fun of Vinyl.

"Oh you know the color and what not it looks pretty." Vinyl said.

"Well I think the color of your checks are pretty as well." Octavia said as she winked at Vinyl just before she left the room.  Octavia came back into the room with two glasses and a bottle of wine.  "So how long have you been a music artist." Octavia asked.

"Oh as long as I can remember, what about you?" Vinyl asked back

"Well about a year after my father past away my mother had signed my up for piano lessons and then I came to liking the sound of differet instruments so I took up playing the cello." She replied.

"I lost my dad too.  There was an accident and well...Yea." Vinyl said as she made a circle on the ground with her hoof.

"Oh im so sorry to hear about that." Octavia said.  "Well lets talk about something else so we arn't sad the rest of the night.  After a few stories about eachother and about three bottles of wine later the two mares were pretty drunk.

"You know I dont know why my manager said you were all up tight you seem pretty chill to me." Vinyl said as she slurred her words.

"Ah yes you too seem "chill". " Octavia said.  moments later the two mare's hooves touched and thy just sat ther and staired into eachothers eye.  "Vinyl why must you wear those glasses all the time?"

"I'm not really sure I dont remember." Vinyl said still looking into the cellist eyes as Octavia slowlymoved her hoof up to pull the purple shade off the Dj's face.

"They are so beautiful." Octavia said. "I've never seen anything like them."  the two of them slowly leaned closer.  Vinyl then swiftly gave the cellist a peck on her soft lips.
