Last time on Equestria, The New Heroes: RedTails had begun to live a normal life with who he now considered his new family. But now, the nightmare he had

will turn out to be something more and everything will change...

Episode 3:

The mysterious pony! A new friend and a lost past! Part 3

"Mmm... *yawn*... Morning..." said RedTails. When RedTails looked down the bed, he saw AppleBloom hunched over the bed, asleep.

"Oh, good morning AppleBloom!" RedTails said with a happy but drowsy voice. AppleBloom woke up and looked up.

"GAH! REDTAILS! WHAT ARE YOU DOIN IN MA ROOM?!"

"AppleBloom, this is my room, did I startle you?" RedTails asked innocently. AppleBloom looked around, good thing that AppleJack wasn't awake yet otherwise...

"AppleBloom are you alright?" She looked up at RedTails.

"Should I get the apple pie?" he asked. AppleBloom giggled.

"Naw, sorry, i musta dozed off when I came in here last night," she said. AppleBloom quickly realized her slip of the tongue when RedTails went silent.

"B-because ya'll were shakin like crazy so..." AppleBloom said nervously.

"The nightmare..." he said.

"Uh... yeah! Ya'll were having a nightmare!" she said in relief. RedTails got off the bed and went up to AppleBloom. She completely blushed.

"Your voice was beautiful when you sung that wonderful lullaby last night." RedTails said. AppleBloom's pink blush turned into deep red when she heard that.

"You were awake?" asked AppleBloom softly.

"No, your song made it's way into the nightmare I was having and everything became alright. But I knew that it must have been you singing because I have only heard one other song in my life." RedTails replied.

AppleBloom was a little surprised.

"W-what was the song?" she asked.

"My mother's lullaby, I can remember every word but her voice is lost to me. She sang it to me the night before they vanished. Even though I've had a photographic memory since I was born, all I can remember is the song, nothing else about her." RedTails said with a slight sad tone present in his voice.

AppleBloom immediately saw that she had just made the situation worse. She wondered what to say.

"L-let's go...uh, get breakfast!" AppleBloom was really nervous but was trying to sound enthusiastic.

"What is this "breakfast" AppleBloom? Is it another food like that apple pie?" RedTails asked.

"Well, at least he some what knows what it is," thought AppleBloom.

Meanwhile in an unknown area...

"Well what do you think?" asked a voice.

"He seems ripe for the picking!" shouted another voice. *slap*

"OW! What was heck was that for?!" shouted the voice again.

"It's that you're always being an impatient son of a-" the third voice was cut of by a fourth voice.

"Calm down, remember the last time you two fought? He nearly killed you two!"

"And I would do it, if not for the circumstances," said a deeper sounding fifth voice.

"Brazeken, go, have your fun," said the fifth voice.

Later on outside the home of Zecora...

"AppleBloom, you never told me who Zecora actually is." said RedTails.

"She's a really nice zebra and she all sorts of neat stuff in her house and she's really could with potions to!"AppleBloom said with excitement.

Zecora opened the door.

"Oh, hello AppleBloom, I did not expect to see you so soon it is only noon." said Zecora.

"Hello, Miss Zecora," said RedTails who was a bit shy.

"Oh I see AppleBloom, you brought a new company to attend, so what is your name my friend?" Zecora asked.

"RedTails," RedTails had never been more happy to tell someone his name, HIS name.

Zecora let them inside, but after a few steps inside, RedTails's tail started glowing much brighter and had transformed from yellow and orange like fire to an

actual red.

"Whoa, RedTails!, Your tail is actually red!" said AppleBloom. RedTails went silent and stared at the red box in the room that seemed to not be there a second ago.

AppleBloom saw that he was staring at the mysterious box.

"Zecora, what's that?" AppleBloom asked.

"I am not sure." said Zecora. There was a note on the box...

"A gift, RedTails, see you soon." The message just stopped. RedTails used his tail control to form his tail into a hand and made his tail open the box.

Seven pendants, all grey gemstones with a gold rim and a chain, probably to be worn.

"A gift huh?" said RedTails.

Meanwhile, on a road five miles away from Ponyville...

"Man... I can't believe he made walk all the way from the dang cavern all the way to this place just because of one little argument I had with Oramo, well at least I didn't have to go to urgent care this time..."

Back in Ponyville...

After saying goodbye to Zecora, AppleBloom said that they should put these weird pendants back at Sweet Apple Acres for safe keeping and RedTails agreed.

but when they walked through the door, instead of GrannySmith, BigMac, or even AppleJack, out of all the ponys...

It was Princess Celestia.

"May I speak with RedTails in private AppleBloom?" Princess Celestia asked.

"Quick , go put the box in my room," he whispered to AppleBloom. She nodded. When she left with the red box on her back, RedTails looked at Princess Celestia.

"RedTails, would it be alright if I asked you a few que-" The princess was cut off.

"You want to know about my eleven tails and the nightmare last night?" said RedTails.

"How did you-" the princess was cut off again.

"The eleven tails I could see in your eyes, I've seen that expression before. The nightmare, I sensed another presence in my nightmare and your emitting a

similar but not exactly the same energy." RedTails said with a now very serious look on his face. Princess Celestia was getting a little nervous now.

"Well-" and again, she was cut off.

"More specifically you want to know if I grow my eleventh tail if I would lose control?"

"Yes," Princess Celestia said.

"Well, I can summon the second tail, third if I concentrate hard, but any tail beyond that would have to be ignited by instinct or emotion. It's very rare that

eleventh tail does ignite though, and when it does, it would be only for something I truly wanted to protect. When I saw AppleBloom that day, I knew had to

protect her, I don't know why."

Princess Celestia was silent for little while until she said,

"Do remember anything about where you came from?" she asked.

"My past, is that of what I said, my parents vanished the day after I was born, I survived on my own, made my own food usually in the wild, and usually attacked a manticore for entertainment." Princess Celestia was dead silent.

"The first time my eleventh tail ignited... it just all went black and when I woke up was standing in the middle of a large crater." RedTails said sadly.

"I... I am sorry, please, make your self welcome here in Ponyville," Princess Celestia said trying to lift his spirits.

"Thank you," said RedTails.

Meanwhile at the entrance to Ponyville...

"Alright finally! Now... time for some fun!"

Next time on Equestria, New Heroes:

"Looks like trouble is brewing in Ponyville again, wait, what?! A guy who has a tail like me is tearing it apart?! AppleBloom grab one of the pendants I have a plan!"
