His name is Rusty Fortune.

He is a scavenger, a tinkerer, a shooter, and a leader, but most importantly he is a survivor. Since colthood he has fought for his freedom and recently that of an entire city. In a time when Canterlot is constantly endangered, something entirely different is dumped on him when he receives a hint of some sort of device on the eastern seaboard of Equestria that could change the wasteland as survivors know it.

When everything goes wrong and he is flung hundreds of years into the past, how will he cope the Equestria we all know and love? More importantly, will he go through great lengths to get back to those that love and need him, or will he be willing to throw away the lives of everpony he knew in order make sure the world doesn't become a hellish wasteland?
