Trouble In Equestria

Chapter 5

~The Truth~

Discord flew over Ponyville looking at his master disaster. He was so proud of himself for coming up with the idea of turning the ponies of Equestria into zombies. 'Let's see them get out of this one!' Discord thought to himself smiling at his own cruel thoughts.

"Is everypony ready to go?" called Luna. Today was the day they would head out and find out just how this disaster happened.

"Yep!!!" Everypony yelled.

"Well let's go then!!" Luna cracked open the front door and looked around outside to see if the coast was clear. She flashed a light on her horn twice to signal that the coast was clear. Pinkie Pie, Spike, Rarity and Derpy followed behind Luna very quietly. There were so many clouds in the sky that day since all the pegasus ponies had plown away when the zombie ponies started to spred.

"Oooooow I really hope it doesn’t rain!!" whined Rarity.

"Shhhhh!!!! We can't afford to make any noises. What if an infected pony was around and it heard you? It would come after us that's what!!" Whispered Pinkie Pie.

"How about instead of calling them infected ponies , we call them walkers." said Rarity.

"I guess we could call them that. It sounds better than infected ponies." Pinkie Pie said looking around for any sign of a walker. They were coming up close to the Apple family's apple orchard when Luna stopped. Spike wasn't paying attention and bumped into her.

"Ouch! Hey, why did we stop?" Spike groaned rubbing his head.

"Shhh!!" hissed Luna pointing towards the orchard. Apple Bloom was wondering around the trees crying. Luna creeped forward. Pinkie Pie hopped into her cannon gun and said "Ready, aim, FIRE SPIKE!!" Spike pulled the trigger and Pinkie Pie went hurdling towards Apple Bloom. Apple Bloom turned her head and got a face full of Pinkie Pie.

"GAH!!" yelled Apple Bloom.

"I got her!! I got her!! Run everypony RUN!!" screamed Pinkie Pie holding Apple Bloom down to the ground.

"Get off of me Pinkie Pie!! Ahhh!!" Apple Bloom was furiously kicking and squirming to get loose from Pinkie Pie's pin.

"Oh Apple Bloom I thought you were a walker so I panicked, but it's wonderful that your okay!!" apologized Pinkie Pie creating a smile on her face spreading from one ear to the other.

"You could have just called my name Pinkie Pie. You didn't have to attack me!"

"Yeah but I wanted to try out my new gun. Did you see me? I was practically flying!!!" Pinkie Pie was now jumping up and down in circle around Apple Bloom.

"Yeah I saw you Pinkie, and what did you mean by walker? " Apple Bloom cocked her head in confusion. Luna and the others walked over to Apple Bloom and Pinkie Pie.

"Apple Bloom!!" Yelled Rarity trotting over to Apple and giving her a big hug.

"My dear now why are you crying?" Rarity was concerned for Apple Bloom because it seemed that she was crying very hard before they had arrived.

"Somepony came to our farm and attacked Applejack while she was bucking apples!! Big Mac went to go see what was going on and he never came back!! So I came out here searching for both of them. I can't find either of them!!" Apple Bloom started bursting out in tears again and Rarity tried to calm her down by giving her a warming hug.

"Apple Bloom, did you happen to see what this somepony looked like?" asked Luna looking deep into Apple Blooms tear streaked eyes. Apple Bloom shivered and shook, she looked as if she was about to pass out.

"I-It was horrifying ! The pony was foaming at the mouth and bleeding from the eyes!! It was the scariest thing I have ever seen!!" Apple Bloom couldn't stop shaking.

"Calm down Apple Bloom!" said Luna. "We don't know how many of the walkers are around this area so we can't make any loud noises!"

"Okay I-I'm sorry. I'll try and keep quiet" Apple Bloom whimpered.

Discord watched the group from high in the sky keeping track of their every move. He wondered 'Come on ponies, what's your next move? Discord watched for a few more minutes then got bored so he flew away to check on his new creations.(that's the zombie ponies/walkers)

The group looked around for anymore normal ponies then they left the farm and started heading towards the Canterlot Sculpture Garden. When they arrived they noticed that one of the statues was missing. The Discord statue.

"Wait a second, where is the Discord statue?" asked Luna.

"Your right it's not here, but where could it have gone?" asked Spike.

"I know what happened!" Yelled Pinkie Pie hopping over to Spike. She turned to face everypony in the group, cleared her throat and started explaining.

"So there I was having a lovely stroll through the garden when my Pinkie senses starting tingling. Something was going to fall from the sky!!! So I jumped in the nearest shelter I could find, which happened to be a bush near Spike and Twilight. Then I heard a thrash of lighting and out of the sky fell Twilight!! But, my eyes followed the magic light that had shot out from Twilight's horn and was heading for this statue!" Pinkie Pie pointed to where the statue used to be and continued, "The magic light hit the Discord statue and the statue cracked. I didn't think much of it so I started listening to Twilight and Spike's conversation and when I heard the good news about her completing her difficult spell, I jumped out of the bushes and said 'This calls for a Pinkie Pie super duper extra special PARTY!!! YAY!!' and everypony went home to get ready for the party!" Pinkie Pie's face lit up with a satisfying smile that stretched from ear to ear.

"So what you're saying is that Discord escaped from his concrete prison and is the one causing this whole catastrophe?" asked Spike cocking his head in confusion.

"Well duh Spike! Clean out your ears!" Pinkie Pie rubbed Spike's ears and smiled like nothing had just happened.

"Wait, so this is all Twilight's fault then. She's the one who made the magic light or whatever come out of her horn, and it hit the statue which then cracked and now Discord is free!!" Luna stopped her hooves in frustration, huffing and puffing.

"Twilight would never do such a thing on purpose! I'm sure it was just an accident!" explained Rarity knowing just how responsible her friend was.

"Actually, if it weren't for me, Twilight wouldn't have shot the magic light from her horn. I was jumping on a cloud and a lightning bolt shot out and hit her flank. That's when the magic light came out from her horn and hit the statue I'm guessing." said Derpy hanging her head low in embarrassment.

"Hmmm, but you didn't purposely make the lightning bolt come out from the cloud so it's not your fault. Well, maybe it is your fault just a little bit." said Luna staring at Derpy.

"You are all idiots, you know that right?" everypony looked around not knowing who had just said that. "Look up here you buffoons!" it was Discord.

"Discord!" yelled everypony.

"Yeah I know it's me," Discord rolled his eyes, "anyway, it's my fault Equestria is like this you know. I poisoned the apples and when Twilight ate one the night of the party, she turned into a 'walker' as you call them."

"Why would you do such a thing?" whined Rarity.

"It was to cause total chaos, duh! That's what I do! This one was a really good idea, because I don't see how you can stop me now and all these walkers! Good luck everypony!" and with that, Discord vanished into thin air.

"What does he mean by good luck?" asked Apple Bloom.

"He means to see how long all of us will survive this. We must stop him." said Luna, staring into the dark sky.
