Trouble In Equestria

Chapter 6

~A Cure?~

Nopony knew where Discord might have gone. They only knew that he was out there. Somewhere.

"We need to stop Discord and fast. Who knows what he might do to us next!" yelled Pinkie Pie.

"Yes but, we don't know where to look first. Anypony got any ideas of where to look?" asked Luna.

"Hmmm..... why don't we try looking in the Everfree Forest?" said Spike.

"That's a good place to start." said Luna. It was cold and mysterious outside that day. The ponies had no sense of time since all the clouds were blocking the sunlight. For all they knew, it could have been night time. Luna led the way through the narrow path through the forest, shinning a light with her horn. Derpy walked beside her hold her muffin gun up, ready to attack if necessary. The group was coming up close to Zacora's bungalow, and then they smelt something horrible.

"Do you smell that?" gagged Rarity holding her nose trying not to catch a whiff of the awful smell.

Apple Bloom sniffed the air, "It smells like....like...."

"Like rotting flesh." said Derpy. Everypony looked around for they knew what that smell meant. It meant a walker was nearby.

"Don't let your guard down." whispered Rarity pointing her gun around. Pinkie Pie loaded herself into her cannon gun and Spike was ready to fire at any moment. They waited for 5 minutes but the smell still didn't go away.

"Maybe, it's coming from inside the bungalow." whispered Luna.

"Let's find out." said Derpy. Everypony ducked behind a nearby bush while Luna and Derpy stood close to the bungalow door. Derpy aimed her gun while Luna slowly and carefully opend the door with her magic. "Oh my Celestia...." Derpy's jaw dropped and do did her gun.

"Oh my Celstia is right, it's Twilight!" yelled Luna. Spike dropped the Pinkie Pie gun and jumped out from behind the bushes.

"Twilight!!" yelled Spike. He ran to the door, but what he saw struck disappointment across his little green face. Twilight was spread out on a table in the middle of Zacora's bungalow, she was still a walker.

Zacora wandered through Ponyville looking for the ingredients she needed to make her new potion. She hadn't realized how bad this disease had spread. She had a recipe for a magic potion that might solve all of this. She was going to test it on Twilight once she got all the ingredients. It was quite easy capturing Twilight especially when she was wondering right outside of Zacora's bungalow. Finally she had gotten all the ingredients she needed to possibly cure Twilight and the rest of the ponies that were like her. She headed back towards her bungalow very quietly so that no walkers could hear her.

Spike burst into tears. Seeing his friend like this brought great pain to his heart. "Why!! Why is Twilight in there?" Spike cried, running over to the table to have a closer look at his friend.

"Spike wait!" yelled Rarity. Spike stopped and looked back at Rarity. Tears were streaming down his face like waterfalls. Rarity walked over to Spike and hugged him to try and calm him down.

"Umm.. I don't know if anypony else noticed but, Twilight is getting up!!" yelled Pinkie Pie. Spike and Rarity looked back and saw Twilight slowly getting up. She was making horrible noises like she was being tortured. Spike hopped on Rarity's back and she galloped out of the house far away from Twilight.

"I think you should know, by this time you should go." Zacora grabbed a stick in her mouth and hit Twilight in the head, knocking her out. Twilight landed on the floor with with a thud. "What are you ponies doing here? Is the sign not clear?" said Zacora pointing towards a sign by her bungalow. The sign read 'Stay clear from here for a deadly pony lye’s in there'

"How could we have missed that!" yelled Luna stomping her hooves.

"Don't ask me I put it in plain sight. Maybe, it's your height." said Zacora looking up and down at Luna.

"My height has nothing to do with it. Maybe you should've made the sign taller with bigger letters." suggested Luna turning her head from Zacora.

"Okay the sign doesn't really matter now because we already found Twilight. By the way, what was Twilight doing in your bungalow Zacora?" asked Pinkie Pie stepping towards Zacora.

"That is a good question Pinkie Pie, for a good answer I will try. I tried to make this potion, hoping that Twilight does some motion. I think this might be a cure, but I cannot be too sure. I was going to test it on Twilight, but then you ponies came and started to fight." said Zacora.

"Oh, well then why don't we help you!" said Pinkie Pie jumping up and down.

"That is a good idea!! Maybe if we find the cure, we could help everypony who has been infected with this horrible disease!!" said Derpy giving Pinkie Pie and epic brohoof.

"Well if Zacora doesn't mind, then I guess we could do all we can to help." said Luna looking at Zacora for an answer.

"I suppose that would be alright, as long as you ponies don't fight" said Zacora.

"Don't worry we won't fight!! We want to stop this walker thing as soon as possible!" said Luna.

"Well what are we waiting for? Let's get inside and get to work!!" yelled Pinkie Pie hopping into the bungalow. When everypony was inside, Zacora put her ingredients that she had gotten from ponyville into her big pot. Luna used her magic to gently set Twilight back on the table. Just then everypony heard a rustling sound that came from outside.

"I'll see what's out there." said Derpy holding her gun in front of her. She stepped outside of the bungalow and everypony else peeked their head through the door, trying to get a glimpse of what was going on. Derp was close to the bushes when the noise stopped. Derpy saw two green eyes peek out from the bushes. It was Spike. Rarity was with him too.

"What are you ponies doing out here? Get inside!!" said Derpy heading back to the bungalow. Spike and Rarity followed Derpy cautiously. They didn't know if Twilight was going to attack again. Everypony got back to work on the potion. When it was finally done, Luna used her magic to open Twilight's mouth. Zacora poured the potion into Twilight's mouth and took a step back to see what would happen. Five minutes went by and nothing happened. Then, Twilight got up and started growling at them.

"What's she doing?" asked Rarity "Is it working?" Twilight fell off the table and stood staring at Spike. She started to Trot towards him when she just exploded. Her blood plastered the walls and her remains were scattered all over the floor. Spike screamed and ran out of the bungalow in a heartbeat.

"What just happened!" yelled Derpy. Zacora's eyes were as big as the moon and her mouth hung open. She didn't know what to say.

"Well we know one thing: The potion didn't work!" yelled Pinkie Pie. Rarity started crying. She was covered from head to hoof in Twilight's blood.

"I am sorry everypony that I let you down. Please don't frown." apologized Zacora.

"It's okay Zacora. We helped you make that potion so it's not completly all your fault." said Luna patting Zacora on the back. Zacora tried to smile to show Luna that she was all right.

"I will find the cure for sure!" said Zacora. She ran off and dissapered somewhere in Everfree.

"Well everypony, let's get out of here and search for Discord. It's what Twilight would have wanted." said Luna leading the group out of the Everfree Forest.
