Rainbow Dash raced to Sugarcube Corner, ready for an extreme prank which she'd long anticipated to be the best prank of the year. All she had to do now was make some finishing touches with her pranking partner, the one and only Pinkie Pie, the most random pony in all of Ponyville. No, in all of Equestria. Together, they made an unstoppable team.

She joyously trotted into the bakery with a huge grin on her face, and in a split second she found herself embraced in a nearly suffocating hug with Pinkie Pie.

"Hey Rainbow Dash, I was starting to get worried, 'cause for a second there I thought you weren't coming, and if you weren't coming then all of our plans would have been for nothing, and then just in the nick of time you walked in with this huge grin on your face and well now you're here so now we can-"

"Pinkie Pie! Don't talk about our plans. They're top secret, remember?" She reminded before breaking away from her hug.

"Oh, right. Secret operation: 'Prank Twilight'. Ooooh this is so exciting! She'll be so surprised when she comes back from her meeting with the princess at the castle and after her surprise party-"

"Pinkie Pie!" Rainbow Dash said with growing irritation, "What did I just say? Remember it's a secret operation!" Realizing she'd raised her voice a little too loud, she looked around and noticed she'd attracted some ponies' attentions. Luckily, most of them were busy carrying out cakes and other party snacks to the library because today was the newly transformed alicorn Princess Twilight's birthday. Being one of Pinkie Pie's closest friends, it was going to be a crazy party.

Returning to their conversation, Rainbow Dash motioned for Pinkie Pie to follow her. She led them out of the chaotic shop.

As they got to the middle of the bazaar Pinkie Pie asked, "Hey Dashie, can we go check on the decorations at the library and make sure they're ready for partying?"

"Well, I'm sure that Rarity can handle it, but..." she sighed hesitantly, "I guess we can."

"Oh, thank you! Thank you! Thank you Rainbow Dash! don't forget that there's a surprise party that needs to be taken care of before our own little surprise can even begin." Pinkie winked.

Although surprised by her friend's unsettlingly creepy wink, Rainbow started to think about their plans. 'Well, Twilight is tough. She could take it way better than Fluttershy and Rarity could combined, but probably not as well as Applejack. I mean, that mare is one of the toughest ponies I know, and that's saying a lot.'

Lost in her thoughts Rainbow Dash ran right into the front door of the library. Pinkie Pie started to laugh and started snorting. The door opened to show a very confused looking Rarity as Rainbow Dash got up, bewildered by the fact that she just ran into a door. She covered her face as it began to sting and turn red with embarrassment.

After finally composing herself, Pinkie Pie took the lead and walked into the library still snickering silently to herself. She looked up to see the most beautiful arrangement of ribbons and balloons of all colours and styles and to top it off there was a magnificent banner reading 'Happy Birthday Twilight'.

"Wow Rarity, this place looks amazing," Pinkie Pie exclaimed, admiring the delicately placed ribbons and streamers.

"Thank you, dear. I'm glad some people see the true beauty of my work." Rarity shot Rainbow a look.

"Hey, I'm way too excited about the party to be admiring ribbons and me and Pinkie have a lot to do." She replied in her defense.

"It's true, Rarity. And she did just run into a door," Pinkie Pie added with a giggle.

"I see... well that explains why you have been so quiet, Rainbow Dash, although I don't know how you could be in such deep thought that you'd actually run into a door," Rarity joked, still chuckling at the thought accompanied by a giggle from Pinkie.

"Ha ha. Very funny guys," Dash brooded, wishing she hadn't gotten so absorbed in their plans."Okay, come on, Pinkie Pie, Rarity has lots of stuff to do."

"Quite true. Sadly, this place is just so hard to work with being so stuffy. I don't know how Twilight can spend so much of her time cooped up in here," Rarity complained with concern for her friend's well being.

"Alright Rare, you work your magic." Pinkie Pie made her way to the door.

After closing the door behind them, Rainbow Dash said "Alright Pinkie Pie, we need to get ourselves some supplies, 'cause this is going to be one heck of a prank!"
