Soft felt a huge crash that sent him flying to the wall at the other side of the house. The hit didn't was enough to take him out, though. Instead, he felt a sudden weakness in his body that didn't let him to get on his hooves.
To make things worse, he opened his eyes to see around. He could see Rarity and Sweetie Belle on the living, with a face between surprise and concern directed to him.
He was about to say something when he felt something above him. It was the familiar sound or breathing. Once he lead his sight to the object above him, he detected a mare. A very familiar mare.
She lifted her face. To Soft's surprise, he saw a pair of purple eyes, according to her mane, which was the same color. Her fur was an orange color. He had only seen one filly with the same colors than this one.
"... Scootaloo?"
Scootaloo barely opened her eyes. She only caught a glimpse of Soft before falling asleep again.
"Scootaloo! Is she alright?" A mare with a particular accent came in.
Soft made it on getting sit on the floor while seeing at the mare in his door.
"... Applejack?"
"Nope." The mare answered.
Suddenly, Soft understood who she was.
"... Applebloom?"
"Yup. How you doing?"
Soft started to feel light headed.
"I feel weird. Help me with Scootaloo, please."
Sweetie Belle and Applebloom rushed to help. After a few moments, Scootaloo was in Soft's couch, while Soft was in there, sizing up the situation.
To resume, Sweetie's father was mad with him for who-knows-what reason; the three fillies were adults now; who-knows-what could happen now.
"Soft, is everything alright?" Rarity asked him.
"...Obviously not."
"What's wrong, mister Soft?" Sweetie Belle came in.
"
"Why do you say that?"
"... It's nothing. It's just that I'm getting kind of anxious with this situation."
"What do you mean by anxious?"
"Well... first of all, you three are adults now. Guess who are going to blame for this? Second one, how are going to take your parents all of this situation?"
Soft was walking in circles around the living. Suddenly, he turned to see the unconscious mare on his couch.
"... Let me see her." Soft got closer to inspect her.
Upon a normal inspection, he didn't noted anything bad in her. He checked upon her wings, for them not to be broken or hurt. Next, he checked upon her legs and hooves. Upon assuring that her legs were okay, he proceeded to check upon her body.
He started to see her well-built torso. She seemed so strong, just like her idol. But, still... she looked beautiful.
"... what was she doing before she crashed on me?" Soft asked before continuing with his examination.
"... I don't know. She was flying around, trying to do tricks, like the ones Rainbow does." Applebloom answered him.
"Alright..." He said before continuing his examination.
Upon finishing it, hiding a deep blush for seeing Scootaloo's body so closely, he lifted up.
"Nothing's wrong with her. She just passed out."
"But, why? I mean, if she's not hurt, then... why did she passed out?" Applebloom asked to him.
"Due to the excitement. Her body produced too many adrenalin for her to take it. That's the why she just passed out."
He lowed his head at Scootaloo's chest to hear at her pulse rate (Nothing too elaborate, just to hear her heart).
He started to count. 1... 2... 3... 4... 5...
Several seconds passed. Everypony in the room remained silent while waiting for the doctor's diagnostic.
Finally, he lifted his head and took a notebook from his table.
"... Let's see... they were 30 pulsations... per four..."
"What are you doing, mister Soft?" Sweetie Belle approached him.
"... calculating... A pony's heart must have a certain number of pulsations per minute... Hers are a little high."
"... What if those are not the normal number?" Applebloom asked seemingly concerned.
"Either she's about to have a heart attack in a few seconds or she's just a little shaken up."
The four of them stared closely at Scootaloo. The three mares, with an evident and increasing concern for Scootaloo's well-being. Soft, with a calm but serious look in his face.
After a minute of close observation, Scootaloo was still snoring, a logical sign that she was okay.
"... She was just a little shaken up." Soft assured the to the other mares.
After a while, Scootaloo got up. She was able to stand on her fours.
However, for Soft, there was something missing.
"Hey, girls."
"What's up, mister Soft?"
"You said you grow up with a potion, didn't you?"
"Yeah."
"... alright. So... when are you going to get back to normal?"
Soft's question startled the three young mares. Sweetie Belle was the first one to talk.
"... back to normal? W-Why do you say that?"
"... Because... it's nor your age to be... adult, you know."
"... But... I made this... for you..."
Soft was touched by that answer from Sweetie Belle.
"... Sweetie... You don't have to be an adult mare just to be my special pony."
Soft got closer to her at the point where they were nose to nose.
"It is enough to me for you just to be you."
Sweetie's eyes got bigger by Soft's answer. She lifted her sight to see Soft's eyes.
In the moment she did that, she saw everything she wanted in Soft's face. Within his sincere smile and tender eyes she saw it: care, concern... maybe...love?
In fact, both of them didn't where at least at two inches from each other.
And Soft noted that. He had in front of him the most beautiful mare he had ever seen, and he was able to give her a kiss. Sweetie seemed to note this too, as she started to stare intensely at Soft's eyes.
Soon, Soft's expression went from total security to a nervous one. Sweetie's expression was the same.
Two inches. Both of them could feel the other one's breathing. Their eyes were locked on each other's. Soon, both of them started to get closer.
One inch. Their breathing became even more heavy. They could feel what was coming right away.
Half an inch. Soon, after moments of what seemed like an eternity, their lips would be sealed in what would be their first kiss...
Or that's what they thought...
Suddenly, Rarity appeared at their side.
"Excuse me for interrupting you, but... don't we have a far more... important matter to attend to?" Rarity said while pointing to the window.
Soft got back to reality faster of what everypony would have hoped. That was in the instant he saw Sweetie's parents coming toward his house.
"... Oh, Rats. Girls, I really need you to tell me where did you got that potion from." Soft asked, getting even more nervous.
"That's easy. We took the recipe from a book Twilight lend us." Scootaloo answered.
"OK. Where's that book?"
"... Umm... in our tree-house." Sweetie Belle answered.
"OK. So... Where is it?"
"It's in my farm. It's on the other side of the town." Applebloom answered.
"... They would see us."
"How are we going to go there without them seeing us?" Rarity asked.
"... Miss Rarity. Do you know the teleportation spell?"
"...No."
Sweetie´s parents were at mere meters from Soft's house.
"I bet that if i open that door in this moment, we'll find those two in there." The father claimed to his wife.
"You sure, hun? They might be upset for you to rush in there just like that."
"Of course i'm sure. What do you think they might be doing in there?"
"...Well... one does never know."
In the instant Sweetie's father touched the door, he noted something weird.
"... Huh. That's weird."
"What is it, hun?"
"His door is opened."
"Well, that's a sign that he's in here."
"... Huh, alright."
With a light push, the father opened the door, revealing them something they hadn't planned to see.
"Wow..." The father said in complete surprise.
"... It's... empty."
Soft's house was empty. There was nopony in here.
"... Hay fried! I didn't thought him to be such a careless guy! Leaving his house with no lock... just like that!"
"... Well, you know what they say, hun. Nopony is perfect."
"Yeah. I suppose you're right. Let's head to Rarity's place. Sweetie must be back at anytime."
"Before of that, can we pass to Sugar Cube Corner?"
"... Everything for my special pony."
