Chapters The everfree forest, known for having weird phenomenons, like the clouds moving their own, plant and animals taking care of themselves, and the weird creatures that reside in there.
Most avoid the forest, some shudder by just the mere mention of the name, though time and time again, the Everfree can also be a friendly place and inhabitable like Fluttershy, who lives at the edge of It, and Zecora who lives inside the forest.
Others, are like animals such as wolves, chickens, bears and so on so forth, while the more hostile one like Manticores, Hydras,Dragons and Cockatrice.
Though unknown to Zecora or even the animals, something more dangerous lurks in woods, the ones that know of their existence usually wound up dead, mutilated or just turn crazy, the ones that don't are too frightened to tell the tales.....
Of THEM.
It was now time, Celestia had lowered the sun, and Luna's moon was high in the sky, a strange chilling breeze blew through the Everfree, now most of It's inhabits were already asleep, everyone was in their homes, getting some well-deserved rest.
Except for three that didn't need It.
Three figures were walking in the forest, two ponies and dog.
However unlike most ponies, these two were terrifying and same goes for the dog.
The first one was incredibly tall, easily taller than Celestia herself, this ponies he had white pale skin, no coat, wore a black suit with a red tie, multiple tentacles were protruding from his back, his cutie mark was just a circle with an 'X' over It, though the most noticeable feature was that he didn't have a face, no eyes, no nose, no mouth, not even ears or a mane, just a white faceless head.
The second, was even more terrifying than the first, he was stallion at, and as tall as one albeit a few hooves higher, he wore a plain white, blood-stained hoodie, with a knife that rested in It's pocket, blood was smeared all over his white coat, on his flank was his cutie mark, which was a knife over a pair of eyes and a demented smile, his face could make anypony scream, like his coat, his face was incredibly white, though what stood out the most was his eyes that had black rims around him, and his mouth which had a terrible smile carved into It.
The dog, however, seems normal from the back, It had black fur and bushy tail, but it's face told otherwise, like the second It had a horrible smile showing his canine fangs, red eyes that seem to stare right into your soul, that the mere sight of it could make anyone, insane.
The three walked through the woods in silence, though light chuckling could be heard from the stallion in the hoodie, who kept muttering about cupcakes.
After a while they found a huge mansion, that looked like It had been abandoned for years, the gates were rusty the was overgrowth all over the walls, as soon as they reached the gate a black shadow appeared before them, staring at them with red eyes, It took a step back and phased through the gate, which the opened inwards, allowing the three to enter.
As they entered, the overgrowth started shifting, and few thorns come out of their vines, thinking some ponies were lost, though as soon as they saw the three, the thorn went back inside the vine, knowing that If t knowing the three t would be only be a waste.
The entered the mansion, a bald hunch pony with abnormally long claws that was dripping in blood, stood in front of them, he was so hunched over you could practically see his spine under his skin, he man nodded and went towards, what seemed to be a dining room, with the three following closely behind.
When they reached the Dining room, they went to the nearest available chairs, and sat on them, while the dog resting on the tall ones lap, multiple ponies were, some were grotesque, while some were normal and some weren't even ponies at all sat in silence, even the stallion with smile carved in his face was silent, the only noise that could be heard was a soft song being played backwards
On the far end of the table sat another one, this one resembled a famous video game character Link, though the only difference was his eyes were missing and head blood tears marks underneath, and instead of a master sword as a cutie mark, it was just one word, which consisted of three letters 'BEN'.
"Well, Ben what was so important, that you called every single one of us, here?" the stallion in white hoodie asked, ending the silence, his voice course and annoyed.
Ben looked at all of them then smiled "Yes forgive, I just had to make sure everypony is hear" he as he scanned the Dining room " Now for the matter at hand, do you know, how the ponies treat us?" his voice was as slow as a whisper and yet, every single being in the room heard It as cold haunting voice.
"They treat us like legends, that we're not real" An eyeless pony wearing a black hoodie answered.
"They treat us like they can beat us" a dark-purple ghost continued.
"Saying that, we are only figments of our imagination" A dark pink pony with a deflated mane and psychotic blue eyes stated.
"They treat us like we're something, that can be banished with the Elements of Harmony" a floating orange fox with a red diamond on its head connected to a string said
Ben chuckled which sent shivers in some of the less scary ponies in there "That's correct, though how about we show them, just how wrong they are"
the sentence made by their leader caused some to smile, while some kept their blank faces other were laughing maniacally, finally the world will know true fear, true horror and above all else
NIGHTMARES.
"Stop It" Exclaimed Celestia as another rubber band bounced off her head, she glared at Discord and Luna, both who were laughing at her expense.
"Oh lighten up Cely, there's nothing wrong with a little messing around" Discord then floated above her, swimming in mid-air, Celestia rolled her eyes "Ugh It is wrong If it's me but I expect this from you Discord" she then turned to her sister "But YOU Luna, why?" she asked incredulously.
Luna just giggled "Oh come on Tia, we are only having fun" using her magic shot another rubber towards her.
Discord snapped his finger which turned the rubber band into a wet towel and slapped her in the face with a wet 'Splech'
Luna burst out laughing and fell on her back, Discord chuckled above her and Celestia blew away a stray strand of hair that had fallen in front of her face due to the slap.
Suddenly all three eyes widened, and each gave a unique reaction, Discord literally spazzed out, his arms and legs bent at a weird angle, his hands/paw/talon twitch violently and his eyes started shaking.
Luna clutched her head with her hooves and moaned in pain, her hair drooped to the ground and her horn started sparking with magical energy.
Celestia merely stayed wide-eyed and shook in place, as if she had seen or heard the most frighting thing in Equestia.
Then It stopped, whatever cause then to react that way seemed to have disappeared.
Discord fixed his body parts back into normal angle, while asking "What in Tartarus was that? I've never felt anything like that before" He looked at the princesses.
Luna shook her head and stood up "we have no idea, but we felt a disturbance to the dream world, a scary disturbance" she closed her eyes for a second her horn glowed for a second, then opened them "Whatever It was It even frightened the dream spirits" she stated.
Discord then look at the elder sister, he rose one of his eyebrows "Well Celestia, what do you think of this? You looked like someone just died right in front of you"
Celestia could only shook her head like Luna "I have no idea either all I know Is that there's coming to Equestria" both Discord and Luna looked at her, worried
BEN stood infront of an orb, a smirk displayed on his face.
"You alerted them of our presence why" a demonic distorted voice asked the Link look-a-like, said voice belong to Zalgo, the horrible creature with seven mouths, his left that's soaked in blood hand held a candle while the right held a dead star.
BEN chuckled "The mission is to invoke fear in these ponies hearts" he explained, "Then why the hell did you alerted those Canterlot asshats" Jeff yelled at him.
"True, we could've work in the shadows" the tall faceless pony said, his voice sounded like multiple echoes belonging to both adults and children.
BEN shook his head, his smirk still on his face "If we did that, they become suspicious and try to stop us, to truly invoke fear we must-" "-invoke fear in their leaders, showing they have no hope" Zalgo interrupted.
BEN again nodded "Now that the leaders know fear, I sent some of our.... lesser minions to invoke fear" he stated, "Who did you sent?" a teen wearing a white mask with black paint over his mask asked.
"Oh just some simple ones, like 'Dance', 'Inside the wall' and 'That's not your friend' " he listed off by their tittle that the ponies have giving them.
The orb started swirling and then stopped at a picture of a grotesque pony that's standing on his swollen hind hooves and appears to be dancing next to a closet, where a mint green unicorn mare hid.
Jeff smirked "Oh this should be fun"
Celestia looked through the papers set in front of her, It was the usual nobles asking for more land, a higher rank and some were even love notes, though they only want power, occasionally there would one from a lower-class who would ask for food for their family or his village, It was work like this that made the world and your mind disappear.
Though try as she may, she could not forget the feeling she got last night, It was a feeling of dread, a strong one, she received something like that when her Luna turned into Nightmare Moon, but It wasn't as strong as last night's.
She shook her head and looked back at her paperwork, 'Another Noble requesting for more land to build his house' she sighed, sometimes she wished that they would realise that they weren't so high and mighty.
Suddenly a guard burst through the door, the guard was big and bulky had a red coat, red droopy mane that covered his left eye, and had a halberd with a golden blade on his flank.
"B-Burning Blaze, what mann-" "Shining Armour sent me here to fetch you princess" The guard, now known as Burning Blaze interrupted.
Celestia blink "I'm sorry, I'm currently busy" she said slowly, Blaze's eyebrows furrowed "He said It's urgent, and I must bring you to him at once" he insisted loudly.
Celestia was taken back, she gave a sigh and set down her papers "Very well, but this better be important" she stated firmly, to which Blaze replied with a huff.
When she arrived at the barracks, she noticed something odd, her usual stoic guards were slightly shivering but stood straight when she passed by.
Blaze opened the door to Shining Armour's office, It had a table which was litter with reports and a glass orb, the usual neat office was very messy weapons were thrown about the room, one of the chairs was on the ground, and the captain himself was pacing back and forth, his white coat was somehow paler and her muttering frantically.
"Captain, the princess is here" Blaze said loudly catching the attention of Unicorn he looked at the princess, his eyes were wide with fear "T-thank you Blaze, Y-you're dismissed" he stuttered, the guard nodding and stepped outside.
Celestia's eyebrows rise at the condition of the Captain, she scanned the office, then her eyes settled on the glass orb, something which wasn't supposed to be there, she then looked back at Shining Armour "You called for me?" she said slowly.
He gulped and gestured to the glass orb "We had two reports of murder in Canterlot, we found this at crime scene, I-I-It held a v-v- maybe you just see for yourself" he finished with a shudder, he then walked towards the glass orb and motion the princess to follow.
She walked to the glass orb, as soon as she was closed to It, and image started to swirl inside It, Shining Armour immediately closed his eyes with his hooves and dropped to the floor whimpering.
She looked into the orb, then an image of a cream pony with a rose-red mane appeared screaming in pain beside her was a torso of hairless pony violently yanking on his coat, then the image swirled again this time showing a caramel coloured pony with a chocolate mane looking out of his window to see his friend a blue stallion with a mane of a darker shade of blue hung outside his window, the the caramel pony looked at his bed which covers were slowly slipping off, then It swirled again showing close-up a horribly grotesque mint-green unicorn mare dancing on her hind hooves.
Celestia reeled back in horror, then the orb swirled one last time, slowly and showed a picture of a pony that looked exctly like Link except for the lack of eyes, then three words appear underneath the picture.
We Will Come
Then It vanished, and as soon as the picture vanished the orb cracked and then broke into millions of pieces.
"Is It over?" Celestia heard Shining Armour whimper, however Celestia couldn't respond, she herself was terrified to the bone, of the images and the three departing words.
Then a scroll appear infront of her in a flash of purple shaking her out of her trance, the scroll opened by itself and written in shaky letters were.
