The Rumble in ponyville!

"Rumble, get out of the house! we're moving to ponyville, remember?" Thunderlane said to Rumble who was hiding under the couch, sobbing.

"I d-don't wanna leave!" Rumble said from under the couch."I wanna s-stay in C-Cloudsdale!

Thunderlane sighed as he picked up Rumble out from under the couch, "Rumble, I want to stay here also, but mom and dad don't have enough money for all of us to live here, so we have to move and get a cheaper house in ponyville,"

Rumble started sobbing into his brother's coat"b-but.... I d-don't w-wanna move!"

Thunderlane hugged his brother and shed a few tears to. "Rumble... I'm sorry, but we have to go now,"

"Hey! Hurry it up in there!" the pony driving the moving truck said. "I got 5 more stops to do so put that couch in the truck and get in NOW!"

Thunderlane carried Rumble and the couch to the moving truck and set the couch in the back of the truck, then set down Rumble beside him while Rumble kept crying into his brothers coat.

"Rumble, there is mom and dad! Say goodbye to them quick, we won't see them for a long while!" After Thunderlane said that, it just brought more tears from Rumble as he murmured goodbye to them.

After about 6 hours they finally got to ponyville, and Rumble stopped sobbing after he saw the town "wow..." Rumble said quietly as he saw the town. There was a library, a bakery, a school, a town hall, a... bouquet? Rumble was so excited to see the town. Thunderlane also looked in awe at the town, that he didn't even notice the truck landing

"HEY!" The pony driving the truck yelled. "GET YOUR STUFF OFF AND GET OUT!" His voice echoed throughout ponyville causing a lot of ponies to look their way, but after about 2 seconds they all went back to their business. After that Rumble helped Thunderlane get out all of the things from their old house to their new one.

"Thunderlane? why did we move to a house on the ground not the sky?

"Because we didn't have enough to buy a house in the sky. Besides, you can get to school faster now." Answered Thunderlane.

Rumble thought for a moment then started to grin. "Or it is because your afraid of heights!" Rumble snickered.

"I'm afraid of heights?" Thunderlane chuckled. "Okay, then you wouldn't mind if we go into sky would you?" Before Rumble could answer Thunderlane grabbed him and flew up extremely high.

"AHHHHH!" Rumble cried into his brother's coat "Okay! Okay! I'm afraid of heights!"

Thunderlane then flew down to their porch. "That's what I thought Rumble!" Thunderlane announced as Rumble started to blush madly. "Okay, now that that's over, let's look around town! I hear there is a bakery somewhere that makes delicious deserts!

After searching through many streets looking for the bakery, they came across a place called Sugar Cube Corner. Once they walked in they went up to the counter to see a pink pony with a jumpy mane looking at all the sweets behind her in the cabinets. "uh... hello? are you the person wh-" Thunderlane was immediately interrupted when the pink pony saw him and Rumble and made an extremely loud gasp, then flew out of the shop immediately.

"What the?" Rumble wasn't sure what just happened. "Thunderlane I think they are on break. let's go somewhere else. Maybe the library?"

Thunderlane agreed then they both walked out the door, searching for the library.

After searching they found a tree with a sign that had the picture of a book on it. "I think this is the library, Rumble,"

Thunderlane said to his brother as he knocked on the door to be greeted by a lavender unicorn.

"Hello! I'm Twilight sparkle."  The unicorn said to Thunderlane. "Who are you guys and what do you want?"

"Hello, I'm Thunderlane and this is my brother Rumble. We came here because... I don't know. Rumble told me to come here for some reason."  Twilight and Thunderlane both looked at Rumble. "Rumble? why did you want to come here?"

"I... uh... wanted to see if you had any maps of... ponyville. Me and Thunderlane are... uh.... new to this town and we can't find anything easily..." Rumble mumbled shyly.

"Oh!" Twilight exclaimed. "I have a map right in here! I'll be right back!" she then closed the door and came back a minute later carrying a map. "Here you go!" She handed Rumble the map. "Anything else?"

"... um...No, I don't think so," Rumble answered "Thanks..." Then he and Thunderlane walked back to their house, noticing the town was very vacant. "Huh? where is everypony? I saw a ton of them before we went to Sugar Cube Corner!" Rumble exclaimed.

"Relax, they must be home already. It is getting dark so they must be in bed." Thunderlane said.

They entered the house to find the lights off. "Huh? I don't remember turning the lights off when we left. Now where is the light switch?" Thunderlane asked.

Right after he said that, the lights turned on and about 100 ponies jumped out of nowhere screaming "SURPRISE!" and almost giving Thunderlane and Rumble heart attacks, and then they both screamed.

"WHAT THE HAY?!" Rumble and Thunderlane yelled. After that music started playing and everypony started dancing, then the pink pony they saw earlier at Sugar Cube Corner bounce up to them.

"Hi there! I'm Pinkie Pie and I set up this party for you guys because I've never seen you guys before and I know that because whenever I meet someone I memorize their face and I didn't remember you guys so you guys must be new so this is a welcome party to celebrate you guys moving to ponyville!" said Pinkie Pie, surprisingly with only one breath. "Anyway, what are your names?"

Both pegasi had gaping jaws at how fast Pinkie Pie said all of that. After a few moments Thunderlane answered her. "... I'm Thunderlane... and this is Rumble... and yes... we are new here..."

"well then I gotta show you everypony in ponyville!" Pinkie Pie said as she bounced over to a pegasus with a blue coat and a rainbow mane talking to a orange filly with a magenta mane. "This is Rainbow Dash! You can call her RD, for short, And this is Scootaloo. she looks up to Rainbow Dash." At the mention of their names Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo looked at both of the pegasi and Pinkie Pie

"Sup?" Rainbow Dash said to Thunderlane.

"Not alot, you?" Thunderlane asked.

"Nothing much. So what's your name?" Rainbow Dash asked "Mine is Rainbow Dash."

"Thunderlane. This is my brother Rumble."

Rumble shyly waved his hoof at the other pegasi."uh... hi." He said quietly

"He's shy around other ponies." Thunderlane said.

Scootaloo then spoke up "I know alot of ponies that are sh-" She stopped when she saw his flank. "You don't have a cutiemark either!" She started to get a grin then yelled. "APPLEBLOOM! SWEETIEBELL! GET OVER HERE!" A few seconds after she said those 2 ponies names they came over to the group.

"Wha' in tarnation do ya' want scootaloo?" Applebloom asked scootaloo as Rumble started to sink where he was standing.

"Yeah, why did you call us over scootaloo?" Sweetiebell said in her high-pitched voice as Rumble sank even more.

"The new guy in town, Rumble, is a blank flank also!" Scootaloo answered

"Really?!" both Sweetiebell and Applebloom asked as they looked towards Rumble.

"uh... i.. don't have a... cutiemark..." Rumble trailed off after noticing all 3 pairs of eyes watching him he sunk even lower

"He looks shy..." Sweetiebell said then all 3 fillies looked at each other and while they weren't looking he galloped as fast as he could upstairs to his room, but before he could get into his room a Pegasus with a black mane caught his tail.

"Rumble! what are you doing?" Then behind Thunderlane he heard hoofs - 3 sets of them - walk up the stairs.

"I... I stressed out from all of those ponies watching me! You know how shy I get around other ponies!"

"Then ya shouldn't be shy when we were aroun' ya! we aren't ponies, we are fillies," Rumble heard the cowboy accent from the stairs and he turned pale, though you couldn't see it from his gray coat

"uh... hi?" Rumble gulped as the 3 fillies came into the hallway

"wow! I never saw a colt gallop that fast!" scootaloo said.

"um... thanks?" Rumble now started to blush madly as all 4 sets of eyes were watching him

"Rumble, we didn't want to make you shy, we just wanted to ask you something."  Sweetiebell said in her high-pitched voice.

Rumble immediately got curious. "what did you want to ask me?"

  All 3 of the fillies looked at each other and said, "We want you to be a Cutie Mark Crusader!"

"a what?" Rumble asked.

"a Cutie Mark Crusader is a filly or colt that doesn't have a cutiemark and we go on adventures to try and get our cutiemarks! We usually do our planing in our cutiemark crusader clubhouse, but we sometimes do it at other places like school."

Thunderlane turned pale. "Oh crap! Rumble! we forgot to get you into school today!"

Rumble turned paler, even though you still can't notice. "Oh Pegasus feathers!"

"Relax Rumble! You can get in on any day." Scootaloo said.

"That's the LEAST of my problems scootaloo! I know you can get in on any day, but it reminded me that in every school, if you don't show up on the first day, you have to go up in front of the class and tell them about you!" Rumble started stressing out, breathing heavily. "I'm gonna either one, pass out in front of the class, two, start crying or three, mumble the whole thing and get laughed at!"

"Rumble, ya are just being ridiculous now!" Applebloom said.

"Yeah... I won't pass out, but I'll probably start crying or mumble the whole thing!" He exclaimed starting to sob into his forelegs.

"Don't worry Rumble, i'm sure you'll do great tomorrow! Also you never answered our question. So will you be a Cutie Mark Crusader?" Sweetiebell asked.

After a few moments Rumble calmly said his answer. "Yes."

"YAY!" All 3 of the fillies yelled.

After that they started chatting about what they would do tomorrow after school, And once they made an agreement that they would go swimming tomorrow trying to earn a swimming cutiemark, Rumble gulped but agreed. After that they just danced and ate and chatted for the rest of the party.

When Rumble crawled into bed at night he knew he made a stupid choice of going swimming tomorrow because of one reason.

Rumble can't swim.
