The Rumble in ponyville!

Rumble woke up that morning with his whole body aching from last night when he learned how to swim. While he was learning how to swim he learned a new move that only he could use, and it would give him intense speed, 60 miles-an-hour! Sadly, it only lasts about 10 seconds, But Rumble knew it would help him in the race. He did his normal routine, took a shower, ate some hay fries and a daisy sandwich, packed his saddlebag and waited for Thunderlane to get up. After 30 minutes Rumble heard some hoofs come down the stairs and walk into the living room.

"Rumble? Ready to go?" Thunderlane asked as he walked into the living room.

"Yeah." Rumble answered. "Let's go now."

"K" Thunderlane agreed as he flew with Rumble to the school and they landed in front of it. "Now try not to get beat up again. Good luck at the race!" Thunderlane snickered as he flew away.

Rumble trotted into the classroom as school started, and he saw Diamond Tiara tell Cheerilee something, then she glared at him with an evil grin, followed by another glare from Silver Spoon as they took their seats.

Once everypony was seated Cheerilee announced the news that she just heard, witch nopony else knew of except for Rumble, The Cutie Mark Crusaders, Diamond Tiara, and Silver spoon. "Everypony, Diamond Tiara just told me to announce that after school today at 4:00, Diamond Tiara and Rumble are going to have a race at the Ponyville lake." She explained as ponies started cheering and Rumble sunk in his seat.

'Great,' Rumble thought. 'More people to see me fail. Rumble sighed. Then he felt a hoof tap his shoulder and he turned to see his worst enemy, Diamond Tiara.

"Ready to, like, fail on our race?" She gloated. "There is no way you can beat me! Daddy hired, like, 10 professional swimmers to teach me!" She snickered.

Rumble just ignored her as he started to get annoyed, luckily Cheerilee started the lesson so she had to shut up.

After what seemed like minutes, School was over and all the fillies and colts ran outside to find their parent or guardian, but this time only Diamond Tiara stayed inside, not Silver Spoon. He then found Thunderlane at the back of the group of ponies again. "Ready to go, Rumble?" Thunderlane asked as Rumble gulped and nodded his head. "K, let's go then." Thunderlane said as he began to fly to the lake with Rumble behind him.

After about a minute they got to the lake where a crowd started to appear. "H-how did t-these many p-p-ponies get h-here?" Rumble asked horrified, as his brother answered.

"I told them!" His brother grinned as if it were a good thing. "Now when you win more ponies will cheer for you!"

"And w-what happens i-if i l-lose? Remember the b-bet?" Rumble then whispered. "I d-don't want all t-these p-ponies k-knowing I-i'm afraid of h-heights."

Thunderlane then took that into consideration, realizing his mistake "Oh... then I guess you gotta win this." Thunderlane said to him.

After he heard that Rumble gulped then waited 30 minutes for Diamond Tiara to arrive to start their race. Now almost everypony in Ponyville was gathered around the lake, betting on who would win.

"Ready to race, blankflank?" She didn't even need an answer as she yelled "THREE!"

Then Rumble yelled as best as he could. "Two!"

Then they both yelled. "ONE!"

Then every single pony there yelled. "GOOO!" And they were off swimming into the cold lakes water as Diamond Tiara took the lead by jumping farther into the lake. After a few moments Rumble caught up to her and passed her, only to be behind her as she took full speed. Rumble then started using his wings to propel him alongside Diamond Tiara as they both reached the halfway point. Diamond Tiara growled at him, now knowing his special trick and started swimming faster and faster until she got in front of him by 3 feet. Now 5 feet. Now 9. Rumble then realized she was almost at the finish line, and he started to get angry for the first time in years.

"no..." he said quietly, anger burning up "I won't have this bully embarrass me like this... I won't have this bully win..." His anger now extremely high as his eyes turned red as he yelled. "I. WON'T. LOSE!!!" Then after he yelled that his anger powered him to swim faster then 700 miles-an-hour, passing a surprised Diamond Tiara and a huge shocked crowd as they all just stared at him, going faster then ever. 800 miles-an-hour. 900 miles-an-hour. a black and white cone appeared around him as he passed the finish line but couldn't stop swimming. 1000 miles-an-hour. No matter how many ponies yelled at him to stop swimming, he couldn't hear them, except for Scootaloo who yelled at the top of her lungs.

"WHAT THE? I'VE ONLY SEEN ONE PONY WITH THAT TYPE OF CONE BEFORE! HE IS GONNA BREAK THE SOUND BARR-" But she was interrupted from a huge black, grey, and white explosion around Rumble as the explosion changed the water in the lake to black and white for a few seconds. Then Rumble opened his eyes to see that he broke the sound barrier, and he started slowing down but he couldn't see anypony, so he flew down the way he swam in to be greeted with all of Ponyville looking at him, mouths hanging staring in awe with a jealous pink pony with a tiara. After a few moments all of Ponyville cheered for him, with a few groans as some of the ponies gave bits back and forth between ponies, then right after all of the ponies started cheering for him, Scootaloo ran up to him, Yelled." I love you!" then kissed him full on, leaving the crowd shocked. But no one was more shocked then Diamond Tiara, Silver Spoon, Applebloom, Sweetiebell, Thunderlane, and the most shocked of them all, Rumble.

After a few moments Rumble wasn't shocked anymore as he whispered into Scootaloo's ear. "I love you to." Then he kissed her full on, which led to everypony else looking shocked as Scootaloo and Rumble blushed but grinned. Then the crowd ran up to both of them and threw them into the air, chanting their names.

"Rumble! Scootaloo! Rumble! Scootaloo!" everypony cheered except for Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. After about 5 minutes the crowd stopped chanting and set them down, then the Rumble walked over to Diamond Tiara.

"Looks like somepony lost a bet!" Rumble said, no longer shy. "Now you gotta tell us your darkest secret."

"What?" Diamond Tiara asked. "No I don't!" When she said that the rest of the Cutie Mark Crusaders walked over

"Uh, yeah, you kinda do. Now, I remember you saying yesterday, Loser Has to say their darkest secret." Rumble smirked.

Diamond Tiara sighed. "Alright... I'm... maybe... kinda... a little bit... jealous of you... blank...flanks" She cringed as she said it and started to blush as Rumble and the Cutie Mark Crusaders all laughed at her, then Scootaloo saw something flash behind Rumble and then exclaimed with a grin.

"Rumble! You got your cutiemark!" She yelled.

"I what?" Rumble asked then turned around to see a black and white pony swimming in a grey lake, and he grinned and started cheering. "I got my cutiemark! I got my cutiemark!" He kept yelling. Then when he stopped yelling, Scootaloo grabbed him and kissed him again. Then Rumble started to think. 'This is the best day ever!'
