Austin, a unicorn, was born to be a king with a royal family in canterlot. He is held over a cliff, but his father gets sick and collapses. He goes tumbling down the cliff. His mother chased after him and caught him, but she got caught up in the rocks and couldn't make it. Austin hit his horn on a rock. The father dislikes Austin and gives him to a family in PonyVille. But Austin finds a way to like his life.
