The Twilight (Sparkle) Zone

Picture if you will, an antisocial mare who can never lie, and who harbors a deadly secret, murder. She keeps out of the range of others others to avoid news about it. But when the police get suspicious, she goes on the run. The police hire thier best detective, an Alicorn named Twilight, to find this mare who is now forced to accept the only one who will help her, a BlackMarket chief named Fluttershy. But could Fluttershy be in cahoots with Twilight?

Applejack

It had been three days sence Applejack had accidentally killed that pony. He had pulled a knife on her in a bar one night, she had pushed it away from her, she didnt mean to push it into his neck! But it still happened. And there's no changing the past. Applejack escaped her farm and went on the run to applelosa, where she would be able to stay with her cousin Braeburn. But when she got to the train station, she saw the flyer. It was a a wanted poster with Applejack's face on it. Applejack fled to a nearby town of Doge City. There, she had ran into a yellow pegasus with an eyepatch that covered part of a vertical scar. She wore a black trench coat and was almost always smoking a cigarette. She said her name was Fluttershy, but she chuckled when she said it, as if it was ment to be a joke. Applejack didnt get it.

The two took refuge in a broken down hotel which was offering a nights stay for just three bits. The clerk must have been stoned or something, because he didnt recognize applejack, even when she was standing right next to her wanted poster.

Fluttershy had a deep dark voice as she spoke. "Couch or bed?" She asked. Applejack looked at the couch, then the bed. The bed was much nicer than the couch, for one, the bed had a mattress. The couch was a cushion with a huge blood stained hole, that rested only on three large springs. She was thankful for Fluttershy's help, so she wanted the best for her. "I'll take the couch. I can flip over the cushion and sleep there. you deserve the bed."

Futtershy trotted towards the couch. "I've slept on worse. you take the bed kiddo. I don't mind." she smiled. not compassionately, but Applejack could tell that she was trying to. She said her thanks and crawled under the blankets. She never heard Fluttershy sit on the couch though. she was just perched by the window looking out to the street. every once and a while she would sink out of the moon light, into shadows. But that only lasted for a few seconds. At most a minute. Once, she had motioned for Applejack to stay still. The floor they were sleeping on was the ground level, so any passing ponies could see into the room. Applejack did as she was told, and hid. Fluttershy was so small, that she was able to crawl into the hole in the couch and hide. it seemed like an hour before Fluttershy gave the all clear.

"Who are we hiding from?" AJ asked. Fluttershy told her that since she was on the run, the police had probably hired a detective to come looking for her, and that's why Fluttershy had been helping her.

"come on." Fluttershy told her. she opened the window and crawled out. Applejack followed her, but she could see that she wasn't waiting up for her, as she was already flying towards the giant sewer grate, staying so close to the ground. Applejack had to run to catch up with her. "We're heading into the sewers?" AJ was disgusted.

"Yep." Fluttershy said nothing but that. she lifted the grate and descended into the smelly waste.

Three hours later, the two emerged from the sewers and onto a dusty street. On the sides of the street, was a demolished building, two carpenters, and a record store with Johnny Cash records in the windows that had 50% OFF! stickers on them. "Commin'?" Fluttershy was standing in the alleyway between the two carpenter stores. Applejack trotted up to meet her, and found another pony standing in the shadows.

"Fluttershy, I ask for a new recruit and you send me this?" he had a tired Italian accent.

Fluttershy nodded. "She's on the run from your sister." She responded with a smile. The pony walked out of the dark. He was a white unicorn with a sparkling shield as a cutie mark. his eyes were half closed, and bloodshot. He wore a small brown trench coat and a fedora. "What!? My sister is looking fer this runt? No offence, Runt,"

"None taken." Applejack responded.

"Fine, I'll hide her, but where are you goin'?"  He said with reluctance.

Fluttershy didn't answer, but ran off. Applejack Turned to the unicorn. She extended her hoof. "I'm Applejack!" She smiled.

The unicorn shook it. "Nice to meet you Applejack, I'm Shining Armour, head of the Doge Mafia. I heard you are on the run from Twilight, my sister?" he turned around, motioned with his tail for her to follow, and walked back into the shadows.

"Yep. You two don't look like siblings..." Applejack said, following the Mafia Leader.

Armour nodded. "Yeah, we get that a lot. The Princess Took pity on 'er  when she fell of a cliff. gave 'er life back and a pair of wings." He led Applejack to another alleyway, containing six other ponies. one was a black Pegasus Stallion, two were huddled together under a blanket, one was wearing a wrestler mask, one was laying on his back smoking a huge cigar, and one was a mare wearing a skimpy outfit, dancing to electronic music, and every now and again, would strip a piece of clothing.

"A stripper?" AJ asked. But she already knew the answer. This was the black market. Of course there would be a stripper.

"Yes. Her name it Bess. Short for Bessie. Looking good Bess!" Armour yelled. "Are you into Mares?" He asked.

Applejack shook her head, looking confused. "N-no...?"

Armour looked at her hat. "That's a nice hat. Hey! Shade!" He called out to the Black Pegasus. The Pegasus ran to him, unsheathing his knife. When he reached his boss, he held the knife to Applejack's throat. "Want me to take 'er out?" He sounded like he hadn't slept in a month.

Armour knocked the knife away. "The hell?" He pushed Shade. "I was going to ask you how much you think her hat would sell for!"

Shade looked stunned. "I, uh...well," Before he could finish, red and blue lights came flashing from around the corner, followed by a mare's voice. "All right Applejack. We have you surrounded. Come on out."

Applejack flinched. 'Damn! Twilight' She thought "Guys, I need..." She couldn't finish, due to Armour, Shade, and Fluttershy, (who seemed to have came from nowhere) grabbing her. "Hey hey hey!" she yelled.

"Sorry AJ." Armour said, taking her hat off of her head. "Were working with her."

And as if on cue, Twilight comes walking around the corner, levitating a huge bag of bits with her, dealing out large portions at a time to every one in sight. "Take her away." She commanded.

AJ turned to Fluttershy. "You lied to me!" She yelled. Fluttershy nodded. "I'm a detective. And when I found out about you, I convinced Twilight and her brother, who is my partner, to play a little cops and robbers!"

Applejack was too stunned to say anything, instead just looked at the ones who lied to her. Fluttershy, who had protected her, then betrayed her, Armour, Who was still talking to Shade about AJ hat, and Twilight, Who was moving slowly towards the Police chariot. AJ closed her eyes and began to cry. The last thing she heard before the door closed, was Twilight's voice.

"Take her away."

Applejack, the mare who never lied, gave her trust to a yellow Pegasus named Fluttershy, to help her escape Twilight, the chief of police. But when Fluttershy left to go get supplies, she was caught. But not arrested. To AJ's surprise, Twilight and Fluttershy were just playing with her. Was it possible that Fluttershy was at one point helping her, or has she just entered,
