Solar Flight is a troubled Pegasus Pony, who's indifference about his life is causing him distress, so he helps others to forget about dealing with his own problems, mostly his childhood friends Rainbow Dash and Applejack. One day while practicing with Rainbow Dash, she brings up the option that they should join the Wonderbolts together, which causes him to stall for time as he tries to think about what to do. Presented with the choice of trying new things in life he decides to take Rainbow's offer and tries out for the Wonderbolts, but only to uncovers that the choice that he made will change his fate for the better or for worse.
