Chapter 1: The dimensions start to shift
Usually, a story would start by telling you nothing about the character and using a technique called 'foreshadowing' to get the reader to want to know what happens next.
But not this time, as this story has a more serious tale to tell, of a mysterious force that holds countless dimensions in place. And of how that mysterious force mysteriously began to fail...
The dimensions started to shift, wreaking havoc for the beings that inhabited these dimensions. Families were separated, sentient and non-sentient beings disappeared for no reason at all. But the chaos had only just begun. Mortal beings can not hope to comprehend the true meaning of what is happening, so their mind limits the information it receives. The mortal mind prefers ignorance over knowing why it exists, how it exists, or merely if others exist. Strange things probably happen around a mortal once every few hours, but their mind shrugs it off and gives an explanation the being can comprehend rather than telling it the truth. It is this ignorance that has saved mortal beings from spontaneous death for over countless millennia. But now this ignorance may cost the lives of all beings, whether known, or unknown.
Chapter 1: The dimensions start to shift
Jacob was a fairly ordinary kid, at least that's what his mother tells him. He had just about every problem a 15-year-old could have, pimples, short attention span, and for some reason suddenly liking rock music and killing games. Speaking of killing games, Jacob, as per usual, was sitting at his computer playing his currently favourite game, Killing Floor on Steam, a game he had bought using his mums credit card (He paid her back!).
Anyway, through ordinary routine he was going through picking his Perk for the game and joining when he noticed something strange, his character wasn't appearing! He went through the characters to check but all of them refused to load. He shrugged it off as a minor glitch and clicked the ready button anyway, ignoring the small earthquake he felt, as it was not very large. He waited for the other players to ready up only to notice in the chat that they were talking about their characters having disappeared as well.
Coincidentally, just then one of his new friends he recently met on Killing Floor started playing the game, the notification showing up on his screen. He decided to message them and ask if their characters were working. He opened the chat window and typed in the Question; 'Strange, nobodies characters in this server are loading. Are yours loading?'. He pressed enter to send the message and at the same time got a message back saying; 'No character models are loading for me, not even the specimens!'.
Jacob was confused at this but decided to shrug it off as a failure in one of the game updates. He quit the game and opened his Steam Server Browser to look for something else to play. Surprisingly all the servers in his favourites were empty. With nothing else to do and as a last resort, he decided to play on his iPad or his PSP. But, to his horror, when he closed the server browser, the pony he had as his desktop wallpaper was gone! Usually, Jacob had Rainbow Dash sitting on the clouds with Tank flying beside her as his wallpaper:

And the clouds and sky were still there, but in the place of Rainbow Dash and Tank was just a black silhouette of them. As if they had been removed from the picture. Now Jacob was worried, he shut down his computer and went to go get his iPad, he walked past the hallway down to his sister's new bedroom and the laundry at the base of the stairway, and someone who looked almost exactly like him said, "Hey Jacob"
"Hey LightningClaw," Jacob suddenly paused, 'Wait, was that really? No, it couldn't be.' He turned around just to make sure, and screamed when he saw his imaginary friend LightningClaw, the Warrior Kitten, looking straight back at him.
"You- I- But... You're real!?" Jacob started to freak out, though at the back of his mind, he was excited that his favourite imaginary friend was real!
LightningClaw, acting nonchalant as Jacob imagined him to be, replied, "Calm down. I need to tell you what's going on before one of us get's pulled, but I can't do that with you freaking out!"
Jacob, trying to act cool as per usual, quickly calmed down when told to, "But- How are you real? I just imagined you randomly, basing you off various characters I saw in-" LightningClaw interrupted him,
"Stop, right, there. I can't explain that to you, not at the time limit we're on right now. Your family is safe. Me and the others have put them in stasis just in case. However, the rest of earth is still awake. They are in danger, the others are trying to keep them calm but it's hard to do when you're a supernatural being. Now, to start off with the explanation-" This time it was Jacob's turn to interrupt LightningClaw,
"Wait, the others?" he asked, LightningClaw sighed
"Yes, the others, now, listen, It is imperative that you listen!" LightningClaw said, emphasizing the word imperative, "Everything you know about, all the movies and stories you've read and the games you've played. They're real. There are various dimensions that-" LightningClaw stopped as he looked at Jacob's hand.
"Various dimensions that...?" Jacob asked, a bit unnerved by LightningClaw's gaze on his hand, "What-" he went to go look at his hand but LightningClaw stopped him, snapping his fingers right in front of his face.
"Jacob, whatever you do, don't panic. You're being pulled to another dimension. I want you to promise me, no, swear that you will not tell anyone of other dimensions. Do not let anyone know that there are other dimensions, do you hear me?" Jacob nodded slowly his whole lower body and arms tingling, LightningClaw continued, "Good. Do whatever you can to stop any others from telling anybody from another dimension where they're from." Suddenly, LightningClaws wrist beeped. He looked at it and frowned, "Okay... You're being pulled to a dimension called, uh... Do you watch My Little Pony?" At Jacob's nod, LightningClaw facepalmed, "Okay, that's wrong on so many levels. Okay, um. Don't panic if you aren't a human when you get there, and, take this." LightningClaw handed Jacob a small circular orb, Jacob watched in horror as it literally melted into his skin,
"What the ****!?" He exclaimed, suddenly, words flashed across his vision.

Jacob just stood there with his mouth open. LightningClaw explained, "I just gave you a built-in HUD, I call it built-in because its actually in your body for the time being, it'll show you important things as well as help you with various other things. But, we're running out of time. Whatever you do in this world, "Equestria", do not act suspicious if you can help it, the last thing I need is to-"
Suddenly, the red words 'Warning: Dimensional Rift' flashed across Jacob's vision as the world was stretched, he couldn't hear LightningClaw anymore, he started to panic, What the hell is going on? he thought as the world suddenly turned into a rainbow of colours dancing around his vision. He was flying through some kind of wormhole-type thing, he heeded LightningClaw's advice not to freak out, he closed his eyes and hoped to god it would be over soon.
