Chapters Introduction
There they were. Discord himself, in front of them, sitting on the throne he created out
of his own magic. He grinned and glanced at the shiny elements of harmony on their necks, the biggest element-
Magic, on top of a glimmering, golden crown. What they don't know is that everything is going my way . Discord thought to himself. He stared at the one leading them- Twilight Sparkle. In his mind, the most annoying thing on the planet-
but knowing her, he planned his revenge on the element bearers quite correctly. He knew she would come to attack again.
Twilight looked so confident in herself and her friends this time... but chaos is stronger then friendship. “Discord, we have come to turn you back to stone!” Twilight Sparkle shouted confidently. Discord knew exactly how to answer.
“Hmmm... alright. But please make it quick. I'm missing some excellent chaos.” He responded, glancing to his
side to see the pink-and-blue checkered world around them. “Fire when ready.” He said, gaining his focus back.
He then swept his hand over his snake-like body, making a target appear. Discord tried his absolute hardest not to smile,
and he put on his best “let's just get this over with” face. Twilight used her magic to activate the elements- it looked like
she was trying very hard. Discord yawned and wondered why she was even trying. It made him so angry that all
these little ponies were trying to be heroes... but they weren't in his mind!
The elements lit up, and for a second, Discord was scared. The ponies were floating, and there was brightness all around them. Their eyes were glowing- Discord was just about to call a pack of stampeding long-legged rabbits to trample them. Suddenly, like a blackout, their eyes stopped glowing.
The elements stopped shining. Twilight and the other ponies fell to the ground. Applejack got up instantly.
“Twilight, this is the second time you've tried. Will you please stop wasting my oh-so valuable time?” She said. Rainbow Dash snorted. “Well, that was a pretty cool light show. But now that it's done, me and this cloud here had best be going. Gotta Dash!” Rainbow said, zooming off into the distance. “Yes, I'm extremely sorry but... I have to go, too. If you'll excuse me, I'll be at my apple farm.” Applejack lied, walking slowly towards sweet apple acres. Discord was laughing and rolling on the ground. “Applejack, Applejack! Wait, come back!”
He managed to say between laughter. “No.” Applejack lied, than turned around and walked to Discord. “Alright, I was
just thinking... maybe I can call you Liarjack?” Discord asked her. “That sounds like a horrible name!” Applejack lied.
. “So it's a yes?” Discord questioned. “Uhhhh... sure.” Applejack, now Liarjack,
said quietly. “Good! Now you best be off to your farm now, am I right?” Liarjack nodded, and ran off towards her floating barn.
All the rest of the ponies marched off in different directions, leaving twilight and discord alone. “What happened...?” Twilight said to herself. Discord came over to her and handed her a glass of chocolate milk and some cotton candy. “Cheer up, twilight!” He told her happily. “Chaos is a wonderful, wonderful thing. That's why it's more powerful than magic.” He touched Twilight's head and she slowly turned gray, like her old friends. “Chaos is Magic.” He said, grinning. “Well? Have anything else to say?” He asked her.
“Not anymore.”
“I need to get away from here, fast. And if you need me, I will be anywhere but here in ponyville... the chaos capitol of Equestria. ” Twilight walked off with her head to the ground, and Discord knew he had won. He had the element bearers out of the way... and ponyville was now the chaos capitol of the world. Twilight had said she would go anywhere in the world where chaos wouldn't follow her.... that wasn't smart of her. That gave Discord a new idea... why make ONLY ponyville chaotic when he could control the world?
Chapter One
Twilight means nothing to me. Absolutely NOTHING. I'm glad I snapped out of that phase I had for a couple years where I actually believed in this “magic of friendship” . Of course, now I know two things for sure: One- twilight is a loser, and two- friendship is something that doesn't last. It also isn't important... and it is only a weakness. What I mean by that is: Well, say that you are playing a REAL game of... I'll just use baseball. Your really good friend is on the other team. You are pitching to your friend.... it's pretty hard to strike them out. Because you are thinking about how you guys are friends. Friendship is stupid. That's why I'm walking away from it. I know that twilight is moving away from here... and after tonight, I'm probably not going to ever see
Angrypie, Rarigreed, Unloyal dash, or Liarjack ever again. I mean, not that I care! Though it is very fun to pick on them. I fly as fast as I can towards Angrypie and flick her hair into her face. I love to tease these guys! They fall for it every time. That's why I can't go home without teasing them more. Angrypie blows her gray hair out of her face. “Hey, Angrypie!” I yell in her ear. Her hair deflates just like it did when we were planning Pinkie's surprise birthday. We had a lot of fun that day.... But that was the past, this is now. “ I'm not deaf, Flutterbrute! Ya don't need to scream!” Angrypie yells. “Now get out of my way! I don't wanna see ANY of you. EVER AGAIN!”
“Funny of you to say that! Because I was just thinking the exact same thing.” I reply.
“Funny?” Angrypie yells. “What's so funny, huh? WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT?!”
“I'm laughing at you. Ha-ha-ha-hahaha.” I just know she will be angry if I say that.
“GRRRRRRRR..... do you know who I am? I'M PINKAMINA THE KILLER!!! I'd watch your back, Flutterbrute!” She threatens.
“I know.” I say, casually walking away. “I'm going to go see Rarigreed. Have a nice day, Pinhead!”
“And you too, Flutterbrute! I hope you are pretty happy, because I'm gonna come to your cottage tonight... WITH A KNIFE!” Angrypie shouts at me as I leave. I stop and turn around.
“Good luck with that, loser. Because my house happens to be floating right now.” I laugh.
Angrypie stares at me with the most hateful expression I've ever seen. I bet that if she did have a knife... she would be using it.
Like I said, teasing is so fun! After talking to Angrypie, I go and see Liarjack and Rarigreed. Liarjack is no fun to tease... she can come up with snappy comebacks just as fast as I can. Rarigreed however... is a different story. After making fun of Rarigreed and her stupid rock, I stomp on the flowers by my neighbor's house and then go home. I slam open the door and the animals in my house go wild with fright. I laugh and then lay on the couch. “Someone needs to get me something to drink...OR ELSE!” I scream. A frightened squirrel runs into the kitchen and comes out with a lemonade. I stare at the squirrel as it offer me the drink. “Fine. If this is all we have, then so be it...” I say, snatching the pink lemonade from the squirrel. I tip my head up and look at the fireplace. Above it is a little shelf that has picture frames and little souveniers on it. A couple of years ago, the shelf had only pictures of animals on it... now it is filled with pictures of me and my friends going on different adventures, and laughing.
I get up and walk slowly toward the picture frames... the more I gaze into them, the more weak I feel. There is a picture of Twilight and I holding Philomena, the princesses pet. There is a picture of all of us at Sweet Apple Acres, drinking apple cider. There is a shiny, gold frame of all of us on pet playdate day... I'm standing next to angel bunny. I look down. Angel is looking straight up at me with the biggest, saddest eyes I have ever seen. Slowly, I start to turn back to my normal colors. Shimmering, my hooves start to turn yellow. Color creeps up my body until I am fully pink and yellow. I look down at angel and hug him. “I'm so sorry!” I say, beginning to cry. “I'm so sorry...”
Chapter 2
Choose carefully!
It has been at least fifteen minutes, and I still have Angel bunny in my arms. I am crying even harder now. “W-what are we going to do?!” I say between tears. Angel just gave me a blank look. Of course, I know enough about Angel to know that a blank expression from him just means “I don't know and I don't care”. He then tries to hop away, but I grab him before he can get away. “Angel, shame on you! Ponyville has fallen into eternal chaos, and chaos is spreading ALL OVER EQUESTRIA! You can't just hop away from that!” I say, looking him in the eye. “Now listen to me. We need to find some way to stop this!” I stop crying as I stand up and look out the window. I turn around.“Isn't that right, Angel?!” I say, looking at him triumphantly. But then I drop to the floor again and start wailing. “HOW AM I, A WEAK LITTLE PONY, SUPPOSED TO SAVE ALL OF EQUESTRIA?!” I roll around on the floor and in my own tears. “Angel, lock the door! I Am never, EVER going out there again!” Angel rolls his eyes and points to a cookbook on the table. “... How are we going to get food, you ask?” I say to myself, translating Angel's 'sign language' in my mind. “We can send the birds to go collect food every so often. Deal? Then lock the door, board it up, and let me roll around in my own sadness!” I sputter, covering my tear-filled eyes with my hooves. Angel slaps his head with his tiny paw. He then hops over to me and kicks my hoof as hard as he can. I lift my hooves up to look at angel. He then gives me a snap-out-of-it slap in the face. Stunned, I sit there for a moment. I look up at Angel, and turn my head to all the other animals. They are looking at me with worried expressions. I stand up and walk slowly toward my room. “I just need some rest. Maybe I'll know what to do when I wake up.” Of course, I don't actually believe that. When I get to my room, I collapse on my bed and immediately fall asleep. I open my eyes. I am in a hot air balloon. “Where am I?” I stutter. I look around. “....Angel?” Angel was controlling the hot air balloon... If he wasn't a rabbit, I would think he was a pirate. He had an eye patch! I Get up. “Angel, where are we?” I yell over the high winds. Angel doesn't react in any way. I hear a voice... That sounds kind of like ME! I think to myself. No... It sounds stronger. I turn in the direction the voice came from. It was someone with messy light-pink hair and a phoenix feather behind her ear. She is wearing knee-high boots with rubies that glisten in the sun. She has aqua eyes and yellow skin. She looks into the sun with a proud and determined expression. She has a bag laying next to her hoof. It is black and smooth... and has three pink butterflies on it. My cutie mark. She has my cutie mark, too. And I notice... that is me. She turns around and looks at me. “Fluttershy!” She yells. “Get a hold of yourself! Just think. If you don't fix this mess... who will!” I wake up, startled. I get out of bed immediately. I slam open my closet door and throw things aside until I find a black bag with my cutie mark on it. I find a box of gems... my life's earnings. I throw it in the bag, then start packing. Angel gets out of his bed and looks at me like I'm crazy. “Hey, Angel!” I say. “You'd best be packing. I don't know where we are going... but I'm going to stop this, if it takes my life!”
Chapter 3
Thank you!
Angel looks up at me and then hops around my bedroom with happiness. Angel points at himself. “You?” I guess, trying to interpret what he is saying. Angel shakes his head. This time he points at both of us. “We?” Angel nods. Then he points at the window. “...Window?” I ask, confused. Angel slaps his head with his tiny, white paw. He hops onto the windowsill and opens the window. He then points outside. “Outside?” Angel shifts his hand to say 'sort of'. So I do my best to guess what he means. “Out?” Angel nods his head. I know what he is trying to say now! “How are we going to get out of ponyville?” Angel nods his head rapidly. “ Well, good question! Because I don't really know, either.” I respond. Angel heads to the door. “No! Angel, please wait!” I say, reaching out to him. To my relief, he stops at the door. He doesn't know ow to open it! I breath a sigh of relief. “Oh, thank Celestia! I was just about to te-” The door had opened, thanks to a ferret who had opened the door for Angel. Of course, he just hopped right out onto what he thought was the ground. “The house is still floating.....” I mumble. I look outside to see Angel falling. I swoop down and catch him quick as possible. He sighs deeply as I place him on the ground. Angel gives me a look that says 'thank you' and then hops into Ponyville. “B-be careful Angel! You never know what Discord could be up to!” I stutter. Suddenly, a bubble appears before Angel. Of course, Angel pops it, and pepper spray goes flying out of the broken bubble. I close my eyes along with Angel. After a good ten seconds, I open one eye. “Angel, are you okay?” He looks at me with one eye... the other eye is shut tightly. “Oh my goodness, Angel!” I grab him, and then reach my hand into a nearby tree. Good thing I know about Pinkie's not-so-secret stash of eye patches! I pull an eye-patch out of the tree, and put one over his eye. He nods at me. “Your welcome.” I respond. We continue looking for something to carry us out of ponyville. Suddenly, a sharp dart-like object flies past us, and we hear a deflating noise. Angel is already running in the direction of the noise. “Angel, stop! It could be dangerous!!” Of course, he keeps on running. And what else can I do but follow him...? He leads us to Cherry Berry and her deflated hot air balloon. Cherry Berry is stooped the hot air balloon quietly. “What happened?” I ask her. “....Well, I know it's hard to believe, but a bunch of sleeping darts just popped my hot air balloon.” she responded softly. “Oh don't worry. I believe you, speaking we just got sprayed with pepper spray by a bubble.” I say, glancing up at Discord. “Lookin' at Discord?” Cherry Berry asked me. “Someone has ought to stop that guy.” I look at Cherry Berry. She looks so angry she could explode. “Well, uh... I was on my way to try and find some way to.” Cherry Berry brightens. “I'm guessing you need somewhere out of ponyville?” I nod. “Well, tell you what. You can take my balloon, and keep it if you want! You go and stop Discord. You can easily fix it with some duct tape.” My eyes widen. “Really?” I ask. “Yup. It's fine!” Cherry Berry says, walking away. “Good luck!” I watch as she walks away. “Thank you!” I yell, as Angel fixes the balloon.
After Cherry Berry leaves, I turn to Angel and and puff my chest out proudly. "Alright, Angel! We've got our air balloon, our bags, and most importantly, us! What could go wrong?" Then the thought that was hidden by my pride for a few seconds came up. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS could go wrong. We could run into a storm and DIE, we could run out of fuel for the air balloon, we could get a hole in the balloon and go PLUMMETING TO OUR DOOM, and really, who's gonna fly it? I don't know how to work an air balloon! Yeah, what could go wrong, huh? I Fall to the ground, shivering. Angel sighs and kicks me in the forehead. Stunned, I look up at him. "Oww..." Angel points to the air balloon. "Air Balloon..." Then he points to himself. This one was easy to figure out. "YOU KNOW HOW TO WORK AN AIR BALLOON?!" I yell, shocked. Angel nods, then starts to fix the air balloon with some duct tape. You know, if Angel wasn't around, I would be hopeless."Where did you learn how to fly an air balloon?" I ask, standing up. Angel is too busy adjusting his eye-patch to answer. I just sigh, and hope that he really does know how to fly an air balloon. Once Angel has finished patching the balloon up, I carefully step inside it. "So... how do you fly an air balloon?" I say quickly, almost panicking. Angel looks up at me. He breathes in and out. "Deep breaths, right..."
Angel leans against one of the bags and closes his eyes, preparing for sleep. I glare at him, half confused, half angry.
"Pardon me Angel... but now is NOT the time to be lazy." Angel looks up at me and rolls his eyes.
"Don't you roll your eyes at me, mister. You said you knew how to fly an air balloon, right? So... aren't you going to fly it?"
Angel slaps his forehead and hops over to one of the sandbags that are keeping us to the ground. He starts untying it before I can even say anything.
"A-Angel! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I yell as he drops all but one of the sandbags onto the ground, lifting us up.
I close my eyes and grab my bag of gems and bits.We float higher and higher until it seems we have reached the 'height limit' that the balloon can go to. I open my eyes and look down to see how far up we've gone. My eyes widen. Normally I'm not a "heights pony" but this is beautiful...until I think of one little problem.
"Angel... How are we going to get down?"
Angel gives me a blank look and shrugs.
"But you said you knew how to fly a..."
My mind goes blank, and all I see is black.
