The small rundown shack that was situated on the edge of the Everfree Forest was silent. The rusty tin roof and creaky wooden supports not even making a creak in the silent night air. On the roof stood a few large antennas, a large brick chimney and a two stark white mares that sat in silence on the edge of the room. In the sky above, the moon started to come into a better view from behind the thick fog that seeped out from the darkest recesses of the forest. The large silver orb reflecting it glow off of the ruby red eyes of the two mares.

"I say it's almost time we get some food, now isn't it Vinyl?" The white pegasus mare with a large bright yellow mane said in a flat yet excited voice as she slowly stood, her shifting weight causing the tin roof to pop loudly, the sound echoing far into the night.

"We aren't going to get any food if you wake up the damn town, Surprise!" Vinyl, the white unicorn mare with the dual toned blue mane, snapped in a silent yell. Her horn glowed as the two flashed down to the ground in a quick burst of black smoke. " I swear, if we miss another meal because of you...I'll kick  your flank!"

"Ahh, lighten up Vinyl! It's almost time to start the party!"

Vinyl smacked her hoof to her face. "You've been hanging out way to much with Pinkie Pie at night."

"Well SOOOORRRRYYY! I can't help it if her cupcakes tastes really good!"

"You will if they find your body in a ditch dead from a sugar rush. Also, don't you think it is weird how she likes to rut any pony that buys her wears long enough. It just seemed to me that she just wants to buck any pony she gives a cupcake too." Vinyl asked as she lowered her deep purple shades over her eyes.

"Hey, you did the same thing the first time you met Octavia. How is she anyways, after you beat her face in with bottle of AJD?"

Vinyl slammed Surprise up against a tree. "I TOLD YOU NEVER TO SPEAK OF THAT AGAIN! That was an accident....a drunken mistake that I never wanted to happen. I wanted to die after that night....just seeing her...laying there....drowning in her own blood. I just......look it doesn't matter ok! She's gone and I don't know where she is....or if she could ever forgive me."

Surprise started to chuckle, her usually light and airy voice becoming a little more soft spoken and a good bit deeper. "Well Vinyl, I haven't forgiven you yet."

"H-hey, cut that out Surprise. That's not funny!"

"You're right Vinyl...It isn't funny." With a small push, Surprise sent Vinyl flying back several feet, several of her bones breaking from the sheer force of the impact. Surprise walked forward and started to wipe her hoof across her mane and face. Her large, curly yellow mane fell off revealing a long, sleek dark brown one beneath it. Her pale white coat began to smear, a layer of light grey fur beginning to show through as she stepped into the shadow of the tree. Her eyes began glowing an even deeper shade of red as she stepped out of the shadows and into the moonlight. All traces of who she was were gone, and only a beautiful grey mare stood in her place. Her cutie mark, a treble clef shimmered in a metallic red color that matched her still glowing irises. A large scar stretched down the front of her face. "Why, Vinyl. Why did you hurt me?"

Vinyl could barely move, her hoof and at least two ribs broken from her impact with the ground. She was, however, able to look up at the mare that stood above her. Her eyes went wide, tears of pain and sorrow dripping down her cheeks. "O-octy...I didn't mean...mean to....it was an...an accident...."

"That's right, Vinyl!" Octavia cooed as she placed her hoof onto Vinyl's chest and pressed down, several more of Vinyl's ribs shattering. The mare let out a primal scream as the hoof dug deeper into her chest and bone began to splinter even further, several jagged edges piercing through her skin and jutting outward like the thorns of a rose. The fur around the wounds began to stain with her blood as Octavia pulled her hoof away. "I'm so sorry, Vinyl. It was an accident...i didn't mean to!" She laughed as she stomped her hoof into Vinyl's chest once more.

Vinyl was in the most excruciating pain of her life, but her emotions were in an even worse state. Between the pain from her chest as she began to choke on her own blood as it filled her lungs and the tears in her eyes, she could barely make out where Octavia was. She could feel the strength draining from her body as she lay back against the cool grass, now wet with her blood and stared blankly into the night sky. "I...I'm sorry....sorry....Octavia...please...forgive..."

Octavia picked up the mare, bringing her to eye level as her hoof raised above Vinyl's head, the other held tight to her Vinyl's throat. "I don't forgive you, Vinyl Scratch!" She brought her hoof down onto Vinyl's head, her skull cracking like an egg as blood erupted from her shattered cranium. Octavia latched her mouth over the area, two large fangs digging deep into Vinyl's brain as she drained every drop of un spilled blood from the mare's body. Vinyl was alive for a few long seconds after the mare she once called friend sank her fangs into her head. She would have cried if she could, yelled if she could....she would have given Octavia a final hug if she could have, but she couldn't. All she could sit there and do was feel every bit of life, happiness, and will being drained out of her.

Octavia released her grip on the mare after she expelled her last breath, and barely made out her name as the body fell to the ground. She flipped Vinyl's corpse over with the edge of her hoof and planted a kiss onto the dead mare's lips. "Now, I forgive you..."

As she began to walk of towards the forest, two figures appeared, one from the tree behind Octavia and one from the shack in front of her.  She looked at the first figure. It was a shorter, light grey pegasus with a long blonde mane. The scent of fresh baked muffins had taken to the air around her. She quickly turned to the second figure, a light pink earth pony with a large curly mane. In her hooves she held a large wooden stake and a small squirt gun. Around her neck hung a small crucifix with several large cloves of garlic strung on it's silver chain. Her eyes narrowed as the earth pony approached her.

"Well, how is this going to play out, Pinkie?" Octavia said with a growl as her stance tensed up and her fangs bared. "You expect me to just go quietly?"

"Well that depends, Octy. Do you want to do this the easy way or should we make a party out of this!" Pinkie said as her mane flattened against her body, the large curls fading into long, straight strands. "Maybe we can use your guts as streamers."

"Pinkie, that sounds disgusting." The grey pegasus spoke up, her large blonde eyes darting around and never following the same path as the other. "Please don't do that."

"It's just a joke, Derpy." Pinkie turned her attention back to the mare in front of her. "Have you made up your mind, Octavia?"

Octavia grinned and started laughing. "Ahh, Pinkie. I could really see you coming out here and trying to kill me, but why bring Derpy? Isn't that just a little bit of a joke!"

Octavia turned around and came face to face with the business end of a sharpened wooden plank. Derpy stared into Octavia's eyes, her eyebrows lowered in anger. "Don't think I won't drive this thing into your skull. I don't want to do that...but I will. Damn bloodsucker!"

Octavia was shocked. She had expected this kind of attitude from Pinkie, but never expected it from some pony like Derpy. She backed off just a bit. "Look's like we are going to do this the hard way I suppose." She looked up to the sky. Her eyes changed from red to black as she took to the air, her body contorting into a more vicious state as she dived down at Pinkie.

Pinkie jumped away and aimed the water gun at her, a stream of liquid springing forth and striking Octavia down her side. She screamed in agony as she lost control and slammed into the ground. She rolled around screaming as loud as she could, the line of liquid melting the flesh it touched.

Pinkie ran over to her, the wooden stake raised above her head as she pounced on the mare, ready to strike. Octavia tried to sit up and lash out at the earth pony that sat on her chest.

Pinkie glared. "I bucking hate you bloodsuckers." She brought the stake down into Octavia's heart, blood erupting from the wound as her flesh began to dissolve. Pinkie jumped off of the vamponies writhing body as her blood caught fire and her form crumpled like a ball of paper.

Derpy walked over to Pinkie, both of them staring down at the smoldering remains of the mare that had once been both of their friends. Derpy looked over to Pinkie. "I-is that what it is always going to be like."

"Only with the ones you care about, Derpy. " Pinkie looked at her as she walked over to Vinyl's remains. "As far as the way they die, it depends. No two bloodsuckers go out the same way. Some scream, some go quietly. Some explode, some implode, but all will try to take you with them Derpy. Octavia was an exception, I think she had some compassion left in her body."

Derpy looked down and followed Pinkie over to the unicorn's remains. "Poor Vinyl..."

Pinkie nodded silently and lit a match. "Ashes to ashes...dust to dust." She tossed the match onto the mares body and watched as it caught fire.

Nearly a mile away, at the top of a very large tree, a rainbow-manned mare stood silently on a large branch and overlooked the two mares as the body burned.

Pinkie.....why did it have to be you.....it doesn't matter....this means war.
