This story takes place shortly after the eighth Doctor leaves. It is meant to fill the gap between the end of the Time War and the beginning of the Christopher Eccleston episodes. It doesn't count the original Dr. Whooves animations as cannon.

The Doctor finds himself in a stange new universe after the events of the time war send hum hurling through the time vortex and into the horrific uncharted territories known as "The Fabric". It is a place known of only by the Time Lords, and is an area that is considered to be one of the most inhospitable and horrifying places that any being could be in, second only to the Void. it is an extension of the void, and it can, if successfully navigated, take one to new and unexplored unverses. The Doctor knows there's know going back. So what else can he do but attempt to navigate his way through The Fabric?
