(Welcome friends, before we get started I'm going to tell you how this works. I will first write a chapter explaining the situation of our protagonist and at the end I will have some decisions for you to make. Who is the protagonist? All of you a collective whole are and that is why this story is written in 2nd person and you're the ones making the decisions. Decisions will be put in () like this paragraph here. Although I sometimes will give you suggestions on the decisions that you can choose from, you can also create your own, just put it in the comments and if someone else likes it, he or she can put down the same. The decision that is selected and that will be used to continue the story in the following chapter is chosen depending on which of the decisions gets the most comments down below. You wake up in a bright green field, insects, birds, and other critters go about their business in the tall grass surrounding you. The warm sun beats down upon you as you begin to sweat. From your very limited tuition of nature, you can tell by the position of the sun that it must be somewhere around the middle of the day. "Where am I?" you ask yourself, scratching the messy hair atop your head. "How did I even get here?" you begin to think. You stand up to get a better view of your surroundings, now beginning to become somewhat unnerved by the situation. You cup your hands around your eyes to block out the sun and as you look around you realize that your surroundings seem very familiar. "I have to be dreaming." you say to yourself as you look at the town close by, the forest at the edge of the field, and the pointed mountains in the distance. "This is one hell of a dream though." You say brushing your hand through the grass beneath you. "It feels so real." Your heart begins to pound. "What if it is real, what if I'm actually here in Equestria? What if I finally got what I've been wanting for so long? No, this can't be real." You say, beginning to piece together how exactly you got into this odd dream like state. Was it drugs, the classic coma story perhaps? You try to remember what exactly you were doing before this happened but no matter how hard you try, you can think of nothing. "Okay, that's it! This is just weird, I gotta wake up and besides there are not even any ponies around here so, what’s the point of staying?" You say, shaking your head back and forth, pinching your arms, and slapping yourself. "What the hell?" You ask yourself in a shaky voice, still unable to wake up and then suddenly jump as you hear a gasp behind you. You quickly whip around to see a mint green Unicorn with golden eyes staring back at you, her mouth wide open.
"I knew it! I knew it! I knew it! Humans do exist!" She screams, jumping up and down with joy. "They all called me crazy but I was right!"
"Lyra." You say, realizing that the real Lyra was standing right there in front of you. She abruptly stops her joyous celebration and begins to speak again.
"How do you know my name?" She asks. You pause for a moment, scratching your head once more.
"Umm...well... that's gonna be a hard one to explain. I’ll tell you later.
"Okay." she replies with a frown. "What exactly are you doing out here?"
"I don't really know...actually. I could ask you the same?" You say.
"Well I saw a strange flash of light and the air around it seemed all distorted for a bit so, I came to investigate." She responds.
"Well, that must have been me then?" you ask.
"Looks like it." she says with a smile. "I'm glad I decided to check it out."

Lyra begins to speak and the crowd settles down. "Not one of you ever believed me when I told you that humans existed. You thought I was crazy, stupid, or just plain weird. Maybe you should have thought a bit differently because right here standing beside me is a real living human!" the crowd gasps with what you think is either horror or awe. "Don't worry, he's not a monster and he's pretty much just like us. See for yourself." she says motioning for you to say something.

Octavia blushes and looks at the ground nervously. "...Well anyways, now it’s time to show you my music." she says turning and heading to her cello. "Now this may not be as...hardcore as Vinyl's music but it is quite good." she says, situating herself and picking up her bow. She gently slides it back and forth across the cello's strings and you smile as the beautiful, relaxing, and elegant tune travels into your ears.
"Wow...that's really beautiful." you say and watch as Vinyl lifts her glasses up once again, a smile beginning to form on her face.
"Oh alright, It's good. I'll admit it. It just doesn't get me pumped ya know?" she says to you. "It's pretty relaxing though." she says with a yawn.
"Oh please Vinyl, it can't be that boring." Octavia says looking up.

"So, have you two ever thought of combining your music?" you ask.
"What!" Vinyl laughs.
"Yes, I agree with her for once. I don't think they would go together at all." Octavia says.
"Just try it. Humans have done it before and it sounds pretty cool actually." you tell them.
"Hmm, you humans are an innovative bunch aren't you?" Octavia asks.
"Why not, it’s worth a try." Vinyl says heading back over to her turntables. "Come on Tavi, let's hit it! Here let me turn this down a bit, you couldn't even here that thing over my wubs." she says, adjusting her meters. She then starts up a simple beat. "Alright give me somethin."
"Here goes." Octavia says beginning to play another elegant tune. Vinyl begins to add modulated bass lines and synth to go along with it.

"See, I told you." you say.
"Yes I must admit this is quite catchy. It’s sophisticated but yet fun at the same time." Octavia says. Her eyes close as she engulfs herself in the music.
