We all remember where we were when it happened. We remember this news broadcast, yet, it still brought terror and hatred and pain into our hearts. "This just in from the front lines, we have broken through their last line of defense! We are winning!" The newscaster had said. I still remember my mother jumping up and down squealing with delight. In between jumps she managed to say, "The war your Dad died for is finally coming to an end! Maybe now Xavier can come home!" All the while I had watched the newscaster's face become distorted with a look of dispair and bewilderment as she said, "Wait... hold on..." after a long pause she managed to say, "W-we have j-just received reports that... they are dropping b-bombs of some k-kind... no wait they are pods. These pods appear to be filled with... more soldiers... or... OH GOD!!! These pods are filled with cyborgs, meta-ponies that have mechanical horns that use synthetic magic!! We are doomed!!" The newscaster ran off camera screaming, there was a crash and a thud as the picture faded to snow. It was only after my mother had shut off the T.V. that we heard the low hum of engines overhead. My mother had grabbed me and ran for the door, which opened to a normally great view that was now obstructed by the ruins of a once grand city. Giant walls of fire in every direction were licking at the clouds of smog overhead. That combined with the blood red sunset to paint the sky a kind of purple-orange. It was only after finding the source of the incessant hum that I had realized why my mother was screaming. The bomber that had been above us had unleashed a volley of six pods that were each coming right towards us. That is when my mother's instincts kicked in and she covered me with not only her body but with what little magic she had learned from some books we had salvaged. The next few moments semed to be in slow motion, the pods closing in on their targets, the magic slowly spreading over me, the constant roar of the inferno in the background... I was shaken out of my flashback at the sound of my name, only to realize that I was just being introduced to the new members of the E.C.H.O. Project. A lean pony with a tan mane and tail, grey skin and bright green eyes whose name was "The Sergeant" was doing the introductions. While he did this, I looked at the familiar surroundings. We had set up our little resistance task force in the sewers underneath what had once been Manehattan. The place was filled with ponies that believed in a better existence, all in all, about 250 ponies had joined us. There were tattered tents and stalls to sleep, boxes and crates were everywhere, filled with the belongings of the ponies that they belonged to. Trash fires were set up though out the colony of freedom fighters, filling the place with warmth as well as the stench of burning trash. I had practically lived down here when I was a filly. My older brother had taught me about history, math, science, and just about everything else, as well as survival skills. We all knew how to take care of ourselves, but we still had a hard time down here. I returned my attention to the ponies in front of me. He is probably telling this audience of four volunteers how "great" my project is, I thought, little do they know that their lives are about to change drastically, and probably for the worse, but it will make everypony else's lives a whole lot easier. I examined my fellow experimentees. Yes I was going to be a volunteer as well. Everypony in N.E.R.F., the New Equestrian Resistance Force, had tried to talk me out of it, but how could I put these ponies through something I wasn't willing to do myself? 'I simply couldn't' is the answer I gave them. Crap, I thought to myself, we are going to require code names aren't we? The Sergeant must have told me that earlier but I was probably too engrossed in my studies to take any notice... yeah, that sounds like me alright. One of the volunteers was a stallion earth pony with dark red skin and matching eyes. His mane was a buzz cut, his tail was trimmed to be almost perfect, both mane and tail were the same light orange color. I noticed that he also had battle scars all around his body. The most prominent one went across the chest down until it reached his right foreleg. This one has some history and experience in intense battles. His new name shall be Strength. The next volunteer caught me, admittedly, totally off guard with his appearance. His left eye was that of the cyborgs that caused the last resistance to be quelled. The same metal plate, the same glowing red eye, it was all the same except for the fact that it was... well... crude, and obviously homemade. With this in mind it was amazing to see such craftsmanship. I will have to ask him who made it for him, maybe the creator can be a new member to the resistance. The other thing that also brought stares from the other volunteers was his horn. I knew what it was, but I couldn't believe my eyes. That is a Mark IV Stryker Class Assault Horn!!! This could only be one pony. Raging Ember, the child of the engineer and inventor, Hephaestus. I'm going to have to fail him out of the training. I can't put my uncle's son through this torture! However, by the looks of it I would say that he has probably been through a lot, possibly even worse than this damn experiment. His name will be Courage. Hmmm... I wonder if he still remembers me... As I gathered myself from the initial shock of seeing Ember volunteer, I looked at my last two volunteers and my brain just about shut down. They were twins, identical twins! Fraternal twins were extremely rare, but identical twins were all but extinct. Identical twins had an easier mastery over magics, so Scarlet Night had decided to kill all of them and spread a virus that prevented anymore from being born. That however wasn't the reason why I was so bewildered. It was their colors, they were flipped on each other. The first one had blue eyes, mane and tail with pink skin. The second one had pink eyes, mane and tail and blue skin. Woah... Was the only thing I could think. Besides their appearance their overly giddy attitude was a surprise, they seemed like they wanted to be here, like they wanted to fight. Hmmm... the pink maned one will be named Truth and the blue maned one will be named Justice. In all of my concentration I failed to notice the other ponies looking at me. Oh, I guess The Sergeant has finished his introductions. "Thank you Sergeant," I said as The Sergeant left, "I will need a psycho-analysis from each of you later, but for now I can settle for your names." The volunteers looked at each other, then back at me. "Good day to ya sir, my name is Trusty Hooves, but the folks in my old unit called me Otis." said the soldier with a slight nod. "You already know my name, don't you cousin?" said Ember. This earned a smile and a nod from me. I noticed out of the corner of my eye a glare from the soldier in Ember's direction that quickly changed back into his normal unreadable self. Hmmm... that could be a problem. I thought. "Well I guess that leaves us doesn't it?" said the pink skinned one, "Well my name is Amaranth Pie, and this is my sister Cerulean Pie." she continued. "Let me answer your questions for you," said Cerulean, "yes we are sisters, yes we are identical twins, no our genes aren't spliced and yes these colors are natural." "Well then," said Ember, "I guess that settles that, now why don't you tell us what this E.C.H.O. Project is." Oh...I thought The Sergeant had already told them. Well good I guess I could probably make it easier to understand than he could. "Well, E.C.H.O. stands for Experimental Cyborg Horse Outfit." I explained, "We are going to be put into a stasis cell for one month while they operate on us and give us our nervous system enhancing microchips. Then we will be under for another month while they give us our Nano-tech Regeneration Suits. Don't worry about the monthly census, as far as our families know you were all killed in a terrible accident." "Oh well woop-dee-doo," retorted Cerulean, " now there is no way we can back out of this is there?" "Hey lady! You had plenty of chances to back out earlier so why don't you just shut up and let my cousin speak!" replied Ember. As they continued arguing about respect, I began to think, Wow, these volunteers know very little about teamwork. Well, all of them except for Otis. "Quiet down the both of you!" he said, silencing them both. "Thank you Otis," I said, "now when we come out of stasis we will be recovering for three months, then we will begin training. After training is our first mission, which you will learn more about later. During training you will be given code names that you will respond to from then on. Are there any questions...no? Good, then lets get started." The Psycho-AnalysisI was still the same old me. I still had the white skin and wings, the same shining silver mane and tail that drew so much unwanted attention and the same pools of penetrating silver for eyes. I hated it, it wasn't how I was born and I knew it. I was born like a normal pony. Light blue coat, a darker blue mane and tail, and green eyes. I was a nobody, except for the fact that my father and my brother ran the resistance, and everyone knew it. People either hated me or they loved me, depending on how they thought of the resistance. I hated my family for that. For not letting me to have a normal life, for not letting people be on the fence about me. The ones in the resistance treated me as if I was their son or brother. The ones that went against the resistance would sometimes go as far as trying to kidnap or kill me. Little did they know, I was not entirely helpless. If my brother had taught me anything, it was how to take care of myself. I won every fight the "Anti-resistance", as my father called them, threw at me, that is probably how I got into this mess. "Silver Moon could you report to the psycho-analysis session in the mental ward, please?" the voice over the intercom said. "I will be right there, thank you." I replied Great, now onward to the crazy house. I wonder if there were any complications to my surgery since I couldn't operate on myself like I operated on the rest of them. I stepped out of my bed and turned to the mirror. Hmmm... not even any scars, it almost looks like I did do it. Alright then, lets try out this suit. All it takes is a thought, right? Ok, suit on. The black and blue pack on my back expanded and contorted like a giant snake. It engulfed my body, and there was darkness. Oh great, they put it on backwards didn't they... Just then the HUD popped up in front of me. ...or not... As I inspected the HUD, I felt the nanobots in my brain do their jobs. I could feel the stimulants they fed my brain, I was getting stronger, faster and smarter. The best part was that I could feel it, the rush of power created a kind of euphoria, a sense of extreme happiness along with the tranquility of inner peace. Yes, it is working better than I could have imagined. Not only is it evoking positive emotions, it is removing the negative ones. I bet the targeting system works just as well. When I arrived at the mental ward, I went through a complete system analysis, and everything seemed to be working perfectly. Little did I know that I had forgotten to retract my suit, which I found to be a big mistake. When I arrived, my teammates looked at me with fear and hatred. Woops, I guess I forgot. Helmet off. They relaxed when they saw my face, except for Otis who went straight from a salute into a series of apologies. "Sorry sir, we thought that you might had been a cyborg that was trying to stop this operation." he said. "That's ok, Otis, and stop calling me sir." I replied. "Then what should I call you?" "Silver Moon is my name, but you may call me whatever you wish." I immediately regretted this choice of words. "Can we call you Snooty Booty Batooty?" Amaranth asked with little more maturity than a filly. Cerulean instantly busted out in uncontrollable laughter. "No, you may not call him that!" replied Ember. "Aww, but why not?" the pony continued "Because it is disrespectful! Thats why not!" Ember retorted. As the two continued fighting Otis leaned over to me and said, "Ember seems quick to defend you even though he has only met you once. Why is that?" "Because the one time I met him I risked my life to save everypony and everything he had." "Huh, I never expected you to be the fighting type." Otis said with a little more than hint of suspicion. "Do you doubt me?" I replied as smoothly as I could. "No," Otis said, "I doubt him." "That doesn't happen to be because he's a cyborg is it? Because you know as well as I do to not judge a book by its cover." I said, my anger building. "Hmmph, I still don't trust him." whispered Otis as the argument died down. "What were you two talkin' about over there?" Cerulean asked. "Aww, nothin' for you to worry ya lil' head 'bout young'n." said Otis exaggerating his southern drawl. "I'm not little and I'm not young! Heck I'm probably older than you!" replied the mare. "Wanna bet?" said Otis "Yeah." replied Cerulean with a little less confidence than before. "I am currently fifty seven with my birthday comin' up on the twentieth." Otis said, towering over her. "Woah, you sure do age well grandpa. I'm thirty." Cerulean said as she appeared to shrink before the giant pony. "No, you're not, sis. You're twenty-two, just a year older than me!" said Amaranth. "And you're thirty Otis!" Ember said. "How did you know that?" said Otis with a glare at Ember. "I...umm...I kinda...scanned you..." whimpered Ember. "HOW DARE YOU!! DID YOUR PARENTS EVER TEACH YOU TO RESPECT OTHER PEOPLE'S PRIVACY?" shouted Otis as he got into his fighting stance. The other ponies were about to stop the fight when I halted them with a look in their direction. "RRRRAAAAAAAAAARRRRR!!!" Otis bellowed as he charged the now cowering pony. Everyone watched as Ember's horn opened to reveal a synthetic magic omni-weapon. The shot that followed hit Otis directly in the chest, burning a six inch hole strait through the still-charging pony. He collapsed right in front of the now distraught Ember. We all rushed to inspect the body, them to see if he was dead, me to watch him be revived. With us gathered around the body I got to see my life's work in action as the six inch hole healed itself before our eyes. I felt like jumping for joy, but I settled with a smile. "Nice suit doc," Otis said as soon as he could stand, "I can call ya doc right?" "Yes, I believe that is fine" I replied. Oh good, I thought, I'm glad he doesn't hold a grudge against me for letting him die, even if it was only for a second. Otis walked over to the still shocked Ember and whispered something in his ear. Ember's face changed from shock to terror in a split second. "What was all that ruckus?" asked a stallion in the doorway. "Nothing," I replied, "just us doing a little experiment is all." "Ok then could ya keep it down." said the stallion. "Don't worry, I believe we are done here." I replied, "Lets go guys and I will teach you how to use your suits." The First MissionThis briefing reminds me of the ones my father gave me. I thought. This was our first mission briefing and it was all too similar to the one he died on. His was an infiltration mission same as this one. Our objective: to find the weapon that will help us overthrow Scarlet Night. This weapon was the Inter-dimensional Travel Portal or I.T.P for short. With slight modification I can turn it in into a time machine and send us back 315 years to the past, to the time before Scarlet Night was the demon queen, to the time when the princesses were still in power, to a time filled with peace and tranquility. His objective: Infiltrate and grab the power core to the Cyborg Assembly and Barracks or C.A.B, bring it back and turn it into an E.M.P that will neutralize the cyborgs. This time I won't let my feelings get in the way like he did! I had just finished the training session with my team, explaining the different aspects of the suits, each one was specifically constructed for the user, so they could improve strengths and remove weaknesses. Otis' not only made him stronger, it also made him more agile and fast than ever before. For Ember, it concentrated his artificial magic, or anti-magic as he called it, so it was easier to control, the suit also gave him more strength and endurance. For the Pie sisters it did approximately did the same thing as Ember's suit but it gave them... well to put it simply, boosters for their wings instead of anti-magic enhancers as well as "Barrier Breakers" as they are popularly called. These devices allowed for the sisters to travel as fast as light, rendering them invisible for as long as they are going that speed. However they can only do this for so long until their atoms start the painful process of separating until the suit along with the wearer turn into air. They also have flight shields for obvious reasons. My suit was the exact same as the sisters' except for the inertia dampeners. These allowed me a sudden stop from light speed should the need be. The only reason that they didn't have them is one: they didn't want them, two: they are highly experimental and could conclude in an explosion if used improperly. After our brief look at the suits we were forced into the briefing room, apparently Scarlet Night had figured out where the base was and was sending an army to destroy N.E.R.F so there wasn't any more time for training. "Well is everyone ready, do you all know your parts?" I asked. Once everyone had answered with a nod we left for the place the I.T.P was stored, and where else did it happen to be than the Cyborg Assembly and Barracks. I had a really bad feeling about this. "We have successfully been transported to sector Alpha 2," I stated into my H.U.D, "we are moving out now. We have landed in the once prosperous town of Ponyville, about three clicks west of our objective." I said to my team through our headsets, after a quick flight strait up. We snuck past bipedal guards with what Scarlet Night called 'hands and feet' in her propaganda speeches. They looked like hooves with small legs like a spider coming off of them. They also had weapons that were specially made for these 'hands' so that ponies couldn't scavenge them and use the weapons against her armies. We got to the C.A.B and our jaws dropped. The pictures in the briefing room definitely did not give it justice. The place was huge, it looked like a giant dragons head, no it was a giant dragons head! The horns and nostrils spewed smoke from the assembly line. The mouth was at least 50 feet long and 10 feet wide made out of the scales of the now extinct dragons species. It seemed incredibly heavy, and the only other way in was through the nostrils or the horns, neither of which the two grounded ponies could traverse. So there was only one way left to go. "Hey Otis, I bet your not strong enough to open the front door all by yourself!" Teased Cerulean. "Oh really?" Otis replied with a smirk. Hehe she doesn't know the half of Otis' power. I thought to myself almost maniacally. As Otis proved his strength by lifting up the dragons mouth with one hoof, I scanned my teammates just to make sure their suits were working and to see their faces at the sight of my creation. Both of the Pie sisters seemed astonished at the feat, while Ember seemed to be fearful at this. Probably because of the fight those two had. Now that I think about it, that never got settled did it? I thought with worry. We entered into a labyrinth, and a very complicated one at that. Luckily we were on a slope and the maze was below us. "Awwwwww, they don't play fair do they?" A pouting Amaranth said. "Don't worry," I replied to the pink pegasus, "these machines didn't know that they were dealing with me. You all go in, Ember you shine your anti-magic straight up and I will guide you through this over our headsets." "O-ok..." The young cyborg said. As I directed them through the maze, I could almost feel the tension between Otis and Ember building, all it would take is one wrong word and Otis would snap. That idiot, I can't believe he's racist against cyborgs, really? I mean come on, the kid nearly died in an accident and his father saved him out of desperation! There is nothing wrong with that! I thought to myself, fuming. In my thoughts I failed to notice that they had made it through and had hit the lever on the other side, causing the maze to straiten out. I have to work on paying attention don't I? "Well now that was easy, wasn't it?" I said with a smirk as I reached them. "Heh yeah it was and it was kinda fun too." said Cerulean. "Yeah! That was tons of fun!" Amaranth squealed. "Easy? FUN? You weren't even in there of course it was easy for you!" Otis yelled. In the same instance I noticed him throw a look at Ember before disappearing almost instantly. "Woah man, calm yourself! No one got hurt, that is all that matters." Cerulean retorted. "Yeah, and it was exciting not knowing what was gunna happen." Amaranth chipped in. "But for us, we never knew if when we turned the corner we would die!" Otis continued, with yet another quick glance at Ember. Otis continued yelling at me with the Pies shooting his arguments out of the air, while I tuned it out to think. Why does he keep looking at Ember? He knows Ember will always be on my side in a fi- oh shit! But I had realized it too late, Otis was stoking Ember's fire, egging him on to strike first so Otis could hit back, and he had succeeded, as the scene before my eyes took place. Ember was in the middle of hitting Otis in the face. "You do not talk to my cousin like that, he is the leader of this mission and we will do as he says! If you didn't want to risk your life in the first place then why did you join the resistance?" The cyborg yelled, still oblivious to Otis' plan of retaliation. "Hey both of you shut up or we will be-" Cerulean was cut off as Otis returned the punch and the pegasus dodged the flying unicorn. A fight then ensued that none of the rest of the team could stop. A fight between the unstoppable force and the immovable object. I instantly regretted the upgrades I gave to them, partly out of worry for my teammates, and partly for worry of the attention it will bring us. As me and the Pies hid we heard the familiar sounds of gears grinding and clanking metal. "Shit! Do you see what your stupidity has caused!? You have successfully drawn the attention of every cyborg in the place!" I yelled at the two fighters as the entire team tried to find cover. We held back the cyborgs for a considerable amount of time, but even then they kept coming. We had to do something. I considered our options. Me and the Pies could use our light speed accelerators, but that might lead to a very painful death for one or all of us... I decided it was worth it. "Pies," I yelled, "We are going to clear a path for the rest of the team, Otis, you make sure they don't have a good shot on us, Ember watch his back!" Just like that we all jumped into the fray and did our parts. Eventually we made it to the maximum security storage unit, with the cyborgs still coming. "Otis! Open the door!" I yelled over the machine gun fire. Without looking I knew he did as he was told because I heard the creaking and bending of metal. With a loud thunk the door came off and Otis hurled it at the oncoming wave of cyborgs. I turned around to see the device, just like I remembered it. "Okay we're in! Now you just have to cover me for a second while I-" "Aaaarrrrrrrrggggg!" I heard Cerulean cry from behind me. I turned to see the most horrible and unforgettable moments, the death of a teammate. Cerulean had just gotten shot in the head with a dart, if it were just that then my suit would have healed her and we could continue fighting, It wasn't until I heard a slight beeping sound emanating from the dart that I realized how screwed we really were. Let Time Flow Through YouBOOM!! In a bright flash of light and a sound like an adult dragon's belch, Cerulean's head was blown off her shoulders. She couldn't come back from that, even with her regeneration suit. Before we could see her body hit the ground we heard a blood curdling scream, as Amaranth, in a fit of pure rage, destroyed every single cyborg in the room, and left to go find more. "SHIT!!" Was all I could say at this. I started pacing, trying to figure out what to do. Until I felt a rumble through the floor. What now...? I thought, feeling defeated. "Grrrrrrr!" Exclaimed Otis, "Doc, I know this sucks and that we lost two of our people but we still need to complete the mission." "I agree with Otis," said Ember, "although I think that you should make the time machine here and now, based on what just killed Amaranth." "What!? What just killed Amaranth!?" I yelled, my voice cracking. "Lets just say that you don't want to know, and that you should start now to avoid the same fate." "Alright," I said, sucking up my feelings, "I will take it to the workbench in the back room, you two guard me." They knew what they should do before I even gave the order. I walked through the vault that held the I.T.P and a bunch of other artifacts that I would normally be awed by. However, due to the recent changes in my social circle, the part of my brain that produced feelings shut down in order to prevent a wave of depression from sweeping over me. I found the I.T.P and walked to the back, through a doorway to the tool room. I found it strange that everything that I needed was right here, but I didn't let my curiosity get the better of me, I went to work. Behind me I heard a creaking sound, I brushed it off thinking that it was just Otis watching me. I heard the lock on the door behind me engage and I heard Ember put a magical enchant on it. It was then that I realized what I had just done. I had sentenced my team to death because of my stupidity. "NONONONO!! LET ME OUT!! YOU'RE GOING TO DIE!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs, while simultaneously banging on the door. I was hoping that these attempts would make them see reason. "No doc," I was wrong, "and if you complete the time machine and do whatever it is that we were supposed to do, this whole thing won't happen anyways, and we will still be alive when you come back. Right?" The theory seemed sound, but it was only a theory, "But what if I come back and you are all dead anyways?" "Then it was meant to be that wa- oh shit!" said Otis. "What? What's happening in there?" I said over the sound of struggling behind the door. "Doc!" Otis grunted. "Shut up and fix up that portal doo-hikie so we can live to see tomorrow!" "O-okay..." I said. Okay so only a few more steps, hmmm... put this here and that there, and put in a splash of this and rewire that to that aaaaaaaannnnnnnnnddddddddd done! I thought to myself. "Okay guys I'm done! Now I just need to-" I was interrupted by two screams, the sound of cracking bone and tearing flesh. I promptly laid my already eaten lunch on the ground for all to see. THOSE BASTARDS!! I WILL KILL THEM!! I thought. After a considerable amount of banging from both sides of the door, I realized that it would not budge, no matter how long the attacker and I hit it. I decided that there was no going back at this point and I regretfully took my teammates' advice. I opened the portal and I thought, How do I even get through here without being destroyed atom by atom? Just let time flow through you. I turned around to seek the origin of the voice I had just heard, but no one was there. I felt my heart race to my throat, and the butterflies in my stomach turned into bucking pegasi. Little did I know that I was subconsciously backing into the portal. I felt my stomach join my heart at the top of my throat, had I not emptied it earlier, I certainly would have now. I was free falling, and once my fear from earlier subsided, I felt myself fall, not fast like normal, but like a feather. Huh thats weird, I thought, I thought that time would be represented as a tunnel with the images of your life on the walls, not this. It didn't really matter to me, it was beautiful all in the same, and it made me forget, about...about what? Something... something sad, depressing... something that filled me with hatred towards... someone... hmm, normally I would be frustrated about something like this, not remembering something important, but the calming effect of the space-time continuum was far greater than any worry that I previously had. I must have floated there for a long time because I forgot everything, who I was what I was doing here. It was so peaceful, except for the same word that kept bouncing around in my head, Echo. Hmm... that is probably my name seeing that that is what has stayed with me during this journey to- My thoughts were interrupted by screaming, something that I haven't heard in a long time. It brought me flashes, very painful flashes. Gruesome and gory images that brought unwelcome feelings to me. These images seemed slightly familiar, but I ignored that to see where the screaming was coming from. I turned my head and saw on the... was it a wall? It doesn't matter, I saw a moving picture of a crowd looking at the sky to see something blue come careening at them. What are they doing? They are going to get killed! This thought brought another series of painful flashes. I flew into the picture, intent on saving the crowd from the falling object. Once I had entered I felt time slow. Probably time lag from the time I spent in the space-time continuum. I thought. How the hell did I know that? I flew next to the falling object only to realize that it was a blue pegasus, this brought yet another set of images that racked my body in pain. Once again ignoring the pain, I grabbed the injured mare and flew down gently to the ground. Once she was safe, time slowly reverted back to normal, and I got to watch the crowd's confused looks towards the sky, as the spectacle was removed, I couldn't help but laugh. Just then the crowd looked at me in even more confusion, which caused me to double over, unable to surpress my feelings of pure joy. Once I had recovered from my fit of laughter, I stood up and removed my helmet. How the hell did I just remove my helmet? And how do I know that it is a helmet? Grrr! So many questions! One of the ponies, a lavender unicorn, stepped up. "Uhh, hello," She said, and I had to hold back a fit of laughter at her uncertainty, "thanks for saving my friend, but we need to get her to the hospital right now!" "Ok." I replied and I picked up the unconscious mare and took her to the hospital. Ok this is weird, how do I know where the hospital is? Why do I keep having these images pop into my head and why- My thoughts were interrupted by the mare in my arms stirring. "A-are you an angel?" She asked in a daze. "Hehe nope, your still alive, you just had a little accident is all. I flew in just in time to save you." I replied. "Save? Me? I'm the best flier in all of Equestria I don't need saving!" She said as she struggled to get free of my grasp, only to get dizzy and stop. "Wow you sure are a stubborn mare aren't you?" I said. And a very pretty one at that. I continued in my head as we reached the hospital. Stranger DangerThe Slaughter The school, filled with innocent children, was her prime target. No don’t do this! Hush, you know you want to as well as I do! She returned mentally slapping herself back into submission. No! I-I would never... Yes you would...I know you better than you do! I mean I was forced into the back of your head for forever! That was until you flipped out on your brother and I- Don’t you say it! What? Say that I slaughtered you whole family with your own dildo? Ahh that brings back memories... that thing sure could swing hard! It was even perfectly textured for a handle! Is that a coincidence? No! You wanted to kill your family with a dildo! I believe one of your fetishes was...um...oh god, this is ridiculous! You wanted to- SHUT UP!! That never happened! You killed my family with a meat cleaver! It was the Jeffersons that you killed with the dildo... Aha! So you do like this just as much as me if not more! N-no! I never said that! You didn’t need to. If you keep track of my kills better than I do, then you obviously like it! NO...its just very...boring in here... Well then let me just add some stuff in there to liven up your...um stay,,, Doped Vision grinned as she heard the distant ringing of the school bells signaling the beginning of the day. She began to sneak through the bushes humming a dark and scary tune to herself, she had not felt this alive since her wedding day. The conversation in her head had lasted for just as long as she had wanted it to, she had been waiting for the bells on the roof to ring, now it was her time to shine. She grinned as she saw the schoolyard filled with waiting children in the distance and began walking with a swing in her step. She had been waiting to do this for too long. She was going to do what made her awaken from her slumber and unleash the beast from within, and planned it to be extra special. This was going to be her first massacre. Her first real pleasuring since she lost her virginity, that ended up killing her first husband in the process with the bedsheets. He was found the next day hanging from the ceiling fan with cuts and bruises all over his body and a rod shoved into his penis so it stayed hard. She began getting wet even at just the thought of such a big massacre. “This is going to be soooo goood.” She murmured to herself. All she had with her was her ice pick and her rusty spoon. But that was all she needed to make this evening perfect. She could see the next couple minutes playing out in front of her, she would walk out, silently kill the first, leading to the second and the third, by the fourth she would be screaming loudly, flying around, decapitating every moving thing with her ice pick and then she would crouch over the bodies with her spoon and- “What was that?” She asked no one in particular, as she heard a noise from behind her. It stopped as suddenly as it came, she knocked it up to her being crazy, she did that with many things that she couldn’t explain. Before she began her onslaught, she took one last puff of her joint. She was proud of it, she made it herself, or rather her alter ego did. That was her cutie mark, growing weed, and to add some irony to the situation, her name was Mary Jane. She loved weed, and children. Doped Vision however hated everything that caused others happiness, that is why she was doing things like this every chance she got, she loved causing unbearable pain followed by suffering.. That is why she did this, and this made her uncontrollably horny. She shivered and began to walk into the schoolyard. She admired the flowers as she walked past the schools garden into the health class. The class inside stopped and they all turned around to look at her. The teacher looked up with a questioning look on her face. “Excuse me can I help you with something?” Doped Vision put her wings out to shut the door blocking any means of escape, she pulled out her ice pick and began walking down the aisle towards the teacher. The teacher began to backpedal wildly and began yelling out for help. Doped Vision quickly put the pick into her head to silence her. She yanked it out and turned to the class with a twisted grin on her face. “Class is now in session!” She said as she wrote an impossible math problem on the chalkboard in the teacher’s blood. “Now... who’s first?” She asked without turning around. A foal was crying in the back of the class huddled under her desk. Vision walked over to her and leaned down to look at her. The foal recoiled from her and let out a quick sob, Vision’s smile faded slowly as she whispered to the foal, “Non Mortem Timemus, Ne Timeatis Messorem, little one.” “Huh?” Replied the sobbing child. “It means,” She paused long enough to bury the pick into the ribcage of the foal and bring her up to face level., “Fear Not Death, Fear Not the Reaper.” She whispered into the dying child’s ear. “Anyone have any questions or comments? No? Good, I as your new teacher say that you as a class have to figure out this equation, or die like those two.” She said as she pointed towards the small pile of bodies in the front of the room. Stupid HospitalsInterrogation “URGENT NEWS FLASH: AN ENTIRE SCHOOL OF CHILDREN WAS MURDERED YESTERDAY MORNING, ALONG WITH THE STAFF OF THE BUILDING. NO ONE SEEMS TO KNOW WHO DID IT, AND THERE IS NO EVIDENCE TO PROMOTE ANYTHING, EXCEPT THAT ALL OF THE DEATHS WERE CAUSED BY EITHER, A PUNCTURE WOUND TO THE HEAD OR DECAPITATION OR BOTH.” Mary Jane could hear the radio say while on her way to the town meeting in the town square. Oh god! What did you do this time! I did exactly what that radio said. Hey did those toys I sent you while you were in my mind help pass the time at all? No! I was worrying about those poor little kids! Rrrrriiiigggghhhhttt. Of course you were. Keep in mind that I am your mind ok? Whatever! Just shut up! Ok, ok, jeez! You please a mare to her darkest desires and what do you get? Shoved into the darkest recesses of her mind! “Oh hey Mary! Did you hear about the poor foals who were slaughtered by some criminal lowlife? That certainly makes me feel safe living in this town!” Said the mare, her comment heavy with sarcasm. “Y-yeah me too...” Mary said. “Mary? Are you ok?” Asked the mare. “Uh no...I need to get back home, I’m not feeling very well...” She said aloud. What are you doing? You had your fun! Now stop it! That whore called me a lowlife criminal! I’m not a lowlife and I’m not a criminal! I’m a mass murderer and a serial killer! I should be treated with more respect! Her thoughts argued with each other as she walked back towards her house. She stopped when she heard the mayor begin talking about the murderer’s profile. It turns out they had a really bad profiler because they pony the explained didn’t look anything like her. Mary Jane felt eyes staring at her, she looked up and saw a stallion with jet black bat wings and a horn to match, along with bright blue eyes that she seemed to get sucked into. She shifted on her hooves uncomfortably and looked back up at the mayor, suddenly she felt sick and didn't care what she had to say anymore. She quietly excused herself and began slipping out of the crowd to get out. She turned around to see that the stallion was gone. Her heart skipped a beat, she laughed at herself. What is there to be scared of? He was just a normal pony trying to hear what the mayor was saying. She thought to herself. She began walking back home. I really should have given that bitch a piece of my mind! I would have made her death as slow as possible! Grrr! We should make ourself known! No one would stand up to us! We could rule all of Equestria with the power of fear! Suddenly she heard a rustle behind her, she quickly turned around and saw nothing. She breathed a sigh of relief and turned around to see the stallion that was just staring at her, just visible at the end of the road. She gasped and flipped around to run away. She laughed nervously to her self about how she's acting like a silly foal on nightmare night. Even so, she quickened her pace to get home faster. I jus- did you- wasn’t he- huh? As she walked past him, she could have sworn that the temperature drop several degrees. She turned around to see that he was staring at her again, but his eyes were blood red, they seemed to emit pure evil and anger. She screamed and began to sprint home. Oh Celestia who cares if someone knows about Dope Vision, I have to get out of here NOW! She turned around to see he was still behind her. She turns back just in time to see a tree and swerve out of the way, looking back at the tree she was thankful she didn’t- THUMP - hit it... Oh smooth moves idiot! Now is not the best time to be smart ass! Let me at this guy! I’ll take him down in an instant! Dazed she looks up only to see a pony as dark as the night itself with wings fully extended, teeth bared and eyes red, just at the other end of the road. She watched as he disappeared... Maybe I’m still feeling the effects of the LSD. Only to reappear, this time on the left side of the road, and closer. He growled, a sound that shouldn’t be possible for a pony. He disappeared again, she looked to the right side of the road, expecting to see the beast. He wasn’t there, she looked to the left again, nothing there. After waiting for what seemed an eternity, Mary slowly got up and, making sure that no one was around, dusted herself off. When she looked back up, the eyes! They were right in her face, nothing but blackness and those burning eyes. Those eyes forced her to her knees as he spoke in a voice that would haunt her for the rest of her life. “You need to pay for what you’ve done.” and swung his wing at her. The last thing Mary Jane saw was a wing flying towards her face and then the ground came rushing up to meet her. Mary Jane strained to open her eyes as she started waking up, “Where am I?” She tried rubbing her eyes but her arms were strapped to a table. She began to panic and kick her legs but she found that those were strapped down to. She felt the panic beginning to build in her throat until it burst out. The green mare started screaming and kicking but she strapped in tight, spread eagle style, to a table. “PLEASE DON’T KILL ME I DIDN’T DO ANYTHING WRONG!” A black hoof swung down and smacked the green mare in her face. “Don’t lie to me, I brought you down here for a second chance at your miserable life. Lying won't get you anywhere.” He waved his hoof around the underground soundproof room they were in. “Who are you?! Please don't hurt me! I've done nothing wrong!” Shadowfang began circling her, “I'm Shadowfang, I brought you down here to sate my curiosity.” “W-what? Sate your curiosity? Your curiosity about what?” “I wanted to see if you were a mass murderer and serial killer.” Aha! So we are well known! Shut up! She sniffled, “Shadowfang please hear reason! I wasn’t even near the school that night!” Shadowfang fired up his horn looking at her coldly. “Who said anything about the school?” He used his magic to levitate her beautiful green wings from under her, “Hmm, shame. She just preened these to.” and snapped her right wing clean in half. He let it fold back under her and she began kicking and screaming harder. “YOU BASTARD! You’re making a huge mistake! I only knew because the news said those fillies died at the school! I heard about the school in the news! I swear!” Shadow smiled still levitating her other wing and she saw him look at it and began panicking, “Ohcelestiaohcelestiaohcelestiaohcelestia.” He raised it higher and she screeched, “Shadow I swear to you I never killed those poor foals!!!” Shadowfang shook his head, as if disappointed at her, and said calmly, “What did I say about lying?” He lifted her other wing and snapped it and placed it behind her. “It doesn’t get you anywhere.” The mare was beyond sane, screaming and crying. Shadow bent down so they were face to face and said, “If you want all this to end, tell me why you killed them.” Tears streamed down the green mares face as she sobbed, “Please Shadowfang!! I swear it wasn’t me! I changed! You know I would never do that to anypony. Come on Shadowfang I'll do anything! I'll pay you!! I have tons of money! I'll fuck you whenever you want however you want!! I'll tell everyone that you saved me from Diamond Dogs!! Yeah that’s how my wings were broken! The town will love you!!” Shadowfang walked around the mare strapped to the table clicking his tongue and picked up his favorite knife. “Hush now, none of that. You need to pay for what you’ve done.” She saw the knife and began jerking her body around and started screaming hysterically,” SHADOW PLEASE!!! It was her! She told me to! She took control of me! I loved those fillies like they were my own!” He stopped and faced away from her admiring his various tools he planned on using. He continued, “Even if it was the ‘Other you’, I need to make sure that this kind of problem doesn’t happen to anypony else again, you’re too dangerous to keep around.” Suddenly the screaming and crying stopped and a creaking followed by a loud snap came from behind him. Shadow flipped around just in time to see a green streak barrel into him and knock him across the room. He quickly got up only to get a stinging slash to his eye; he rolled around holding at his eye trying to stop the blood and terrible pain coming from it. He looked up with his good eye and saw the green mare standing over him, eyes wild looking, holding his knife dripping with his fresh blood on it. “You’re weak Shadow” she panted, “You know I killed those fillies in cold blood and you took me down here to try and ‘help’ me.” Shadow tried standing but got a swift hoof to his face and knocked him down again. She began to laugh insanely, “Oh Shadow! You silly stallion! You should have killed me when you had the chance!” She stopped laughing and looked down at him with a scary twisted grin, “I won't make the same mistake.” Then she swung the knife down at him as hard as she could. Me. In a Barfight. With Twenty Drunk Ponies.Stranger Danger They seemed to be enjoying themselves, even with them having to hold their friend down so the doctor could run a diagnostic. The seven of them were very closely knit. More so than anything else that I have seen before. Then again I haven't seen any groups of friends before, at least not that I can remember. I said to myself. Seeing that they were content with their friend's health, I walked out of the room with sadness slowly filling my heart with each step. I don't have any friends do I? I asked myself, as I exited the hospital. Never have and never will. The other voice in my head said. Now thats not necessarily true. I argued with it. Are you kidding me? They will never become friends with you after what you did! First off, who are you? Second off, why am I not creeped out by a voice in my head that isn't mine? And thirdly, I haven't done anything wrong! I said to the voice. Not yet you haven't, not yet. The voice said ominously. And I never will! I yelled to the voice. I had been lost in my thoughts for so long that I had walked to the outskirts of town to a cliff that overlooked a gorge. Realizing that I had no where to go, I began to sing one of the many songs that I had memorized in the void, one that mimicked how I felt now: ♫ I walk a lonely road, the only one that I have ever known, Don't know were it goes but its only me and I walk alone, I walk this empty street, on the Boulevard of Broken Dreams... ♫ I sang to the world, the song echoing my feelings and the gorge echoing the song. I kept singing the song til I reached the end, and then I started over, not stopping until I heard a sound behind me. It was the six friends of the mare that I had saved earlier. One of them was a strange lizard-looking thing. Its a baby dragon. The thought popped into my head. Hmm, once again random knowledge that surfaces when it likes. "Umm, hi girls. Is she okay? I didn't kill her did I?" I said, a sudden feeling of dread immediately shoving the sadness out of my heart. "No." The lavender unicorn replied. "She is just fine darling." The other unicorn continued, this one had a pure white coat and was definitely beautiful, but she seemed too proper. "In fact she wanted to say thank you." The orange earth-pony said, as the last two ponies, one a pink earth-pony and one a yellow pegasus nodded in agreement. "Okay, then I'll be right over." I said. "That song," Purple said, "its very depressing." "Although you do have a wonderful singing voice." White chimed in. "Yeah! Maybe Rainbow can get you a job over at the bar she goes to all the time! Ya know the one run by Vinyl and Octavia!" Pink continued. "That is if your stayin' here, if your just headin' home or somethin' then have fun while your here but we won't keep ya." Orange corrected. "Well I don't really have a home..." I said, once again feeling the sadness welling up inside me. "Oh, are you and your family traveling performers?" Pink asked, butting back into the conversation. "Well I don't really have a family either, at least none that I can remember... I guess I'm alone." I said still feeling the urge to hear the gorge echo my feelings around its walls. "Don't you worry sugarcube, you will never have to be alone again." Orange said. "Welcome to Ponyville you have just officially become the new resident!" Pink yelled, bouncing with joy. Just then all of them except for the dragon brought me into a strangling group hug. The only thing that kept me from suffocating was the fact that I could travel at light speed. I narrowly dodged their hug of death and took off towards the hospital. I entered the mare's room through the window, backwards, due to the fact that I was watching for the yellow pegasus still wary of the death hug, and I didn't know how fast she could fly. I hit the windowsill and did a backflip and landed, quite gracefully, on my fore hooves. "Wow nice moves!" The cyan pegasus said from her position in her hospital bed. "I give it a 8.35!" "Eh, I've done better." I responded as I walked over to her, feeling better after seeing her. "Really? How much better?" She asked, a spark of challenge in her eyes. "Well, I just broke three barriers on my take-off to get here." I said matter-of-factly. "Yeah right! There are only two barriers stupid! The sound and the color barriers!" She said, obviously not taking me seriously. "No there are in fact four barriers: sound, color, light, and dimensional." I said, confused as to where this knowledge was coming from. "Oh great, now you sound like Twilight." She said rolling her eyes. "Who?" I asked. That name... it seems so familiar... I continued in my head. "Ya know, Twilight Sparkle? The Great Princess Celestia's protege? The Element of Magic? Jeez do ya live under a rock or something, everypony knows Twi-" I cut her off with my screams of pain, as I clenched my head and saw the ground fast approaching. I awoke to a darkness so thick I could cut it. I felt a presence, one that made the darkness seem happy and joyful in comparison. "Show yourself!" I yelled into the abyss. What I saw was not a pleasant sight. A demon pony about eight feet tall, with a wingspan to match, deep red eyes that penetrated my very soul, and an aura that would make the happiest of creatures lose their will to live. "Scarlet Night..." I said, my voice barely a whisper. "Ah so you do remember me." The demon said in a deep voice that shook my very being. She- no, it, there was nothing left of the once innocent pony it had possessed. It smiled only to reveal it's teeth, that of a carnivore, the same color as its skin, a black that sucked you into a void if you even just glanced at it. "How could I forget..." I whimpered. What? How could I forget... what? It seems that I actually have forgotten. I thought. "Ha! Scared, good you should be! Just like your father and brother were." It said, tormenting me. "You followed me across the time-space continuum, only to haunt me of a past that I don't remember! I swear by all that is holy, I WILL SLAUGHTER YOU WHERE YOU STAND!!" I bellowed suddenly gaining courage with the mention of my unknown family. "Go ahead, try it." It whispered in my ear, even with it being a whisper it was nearly deafening. I tried to move, only to be greeted by an intense pain that pulsated throughout my body. "Oh yeah, thats right, I control your body now! Resist it and be punished by the worst pain imaginable!" It said as it burst into maniacal laughter. "Screw you..." I said weakly as I once again found the floor approaching my face. I found myself in a hospital bed, but I was seeing myself from above. "Oh yeah, I'm going to make you watch as your new home meets the same fate as your last." It said in one last remark before there was silence. "Oh no your not!" I yelled, as I charged at my body, and was met with a barrier. I felt a familiar pain in every part of my...um...consciousness? Was that the right word? "ARG!!" I yelled, obviously no one had heard me. I watched as my body walked through the hospital, ignoring the warnings from the doctors, and out the front door. It then marched strait to the center of town, and waited. It waited until it was the square had the most people it could have, then it struck. It caused utter chaos, blowing up stalls, and stores, and other buildings, shattering the hopes and dreams of many a pony, and I was forced to watch. I was unable to do anything, I was worthless. The destruction continued until Twilight and the rest of her friends arrived. An epic battle ensued, between my body and the Elements of Harmony, shamefully I admit to feeling honored to fight them. I couldn't make out more than half of the battle, due to the constant waves of pain that washed over my body. "You bastard," I said " you make me feel all of the pain you should receive." "Yeah," my body said aloud, "I hope it hurts you more than you can imagine!" "Nah, I've had worse." I continued, slowly coming up with a plan. "Oh really? How much worse?" My body asked. "Ah!" I grunted as another wave of pain flowed through my body. "Sir, why are you doing this? It makes no sense, you save Rainbow Dash, only to turn around and destroy Ponyville's town square!" Twilight said to my body, who only shook its head and grinned a grin that could only be mastered by a demon. "Jeez, talk about bipolar." The baby dragon said, this brought about a couple of smiles from his friends, and it seemed to rejuvenate them, bring back their energy. Magic of Friendship, duh! I thought. ...ok now I am really scared as to where those are coming from... My body got back into its fighting stance and attacked, only to be met with the force of the most powerful spells and kicks from the six most powerful ponies in Equestria. The pain that followed caused me to blackout, the last thing I heard was maniacal laughing. FOR THE WUBS DUDE! FOR THE WUBS!Stupid Hospitals I once again awoke with a start, to once again see my body below me. This time however, it was choking the life out of the cyan pegasus that I was pretty sure I loved. "Oh no you don't!" I yelled as I charged at my body, and prepared for the worst. Rainbow Dash POV Rainbow could see the fury in the pony's eye, no wait, eyes! The other one was starting to grow back. "Hey thats cheating!" Rainbow tried to say, but couldn't due to the lack of air in her lungs. The edges of her vision blurred as she realized how deep in shit she was. She could feel her body start to give out on her. One by one her non-vital organs began to shut down to reserve the oxygen that was left for her heart. I'm gunna die right here aren't I? Like this...killed by the stallion of my dreams...just great... It was then that she noticed the change in his eyes. The fury subsided and was replaced with a look of worry, fear and pain. She mostly noticed how he released enough pressure on her throat to allow her to breathe, as she greedily gulped in the scorched air. He had mouthed something... Run. Getting the idea she kicked the stallion off and flew to a better vantage point, for the best flier in all of Equestria did not run from a fight. As she flew she felt something hit her thigh, and all went dark. Silver Moon POV I had just barely managed to let her get away from my body's grasp, only to watch as my body, once again under control of the demon, shoot a poison dart at the pegasus, and hit her right in the thigh. That is probably what set me off... I went into a rage, much more potent than before, as I dive bombed my body, completely ignoring the pain as I, almost literally, threw the demon presence out of my body and banished it into the recesses of my mind. "RRRRRAAAAAAAARRRRRR!!" I bellowed once I was back in control of my body. Once the adrenaline had lost its edge, I ran towards the still body of the mare of my dreams. "Nonononononononononononooo! This can't be happening!" I yelled to anyone within earshot. "Suit give me a nanobot medi-pack!" "But sir, based on your current injuries, if you do this you may not live." It replied in a metallic voice. "Does it look like I care!" I yelled at it. Suddenly a syringe formed at the tip of my hoof, it was filled with a silver liquid. I took out the poison dart and immediately injected her limp body with the tiny machines. As I watched her slowly recover, I heard my suit say, "The poison was successfully removed from the mare's system. WARNING: Not enough nanobots to treat current injuries. WARNING: System malfunction detected. Vitals dropping..." I was awake for long enough to see her wake up, she said something and hugged me, then I went numb and blacked out. I woke up in a hospital, again, this time noticing the cuffs around my hooves and the restraints around my wings and torso. I took in a deep breath and checked my surroundings, searching for an exit. "I don't know about you, but I'm tired of waking up in these stupid hospitals." A very familiar voice said. "Mind you, this 'stupid hospital' just saved your life." Another voice said. I looked to see a wondrous sight, a beautiful cyan pegasus outlined with the colors of the sunset, reflecting off of the pristine white walls and sheets, and she was surrounded by her friends. I sighed with relief, until I remembered the danger that everypony around me was in. "W-what are you doing here? You must leave before it comes back!" I said to them, frantically trying to free myself of the restraints. "Relax," The purple one, who's name was I assumed Twilight Sparkle said, "the doctors said that they sensed some kind of magical anomaly the first time they inspected you, but they assured us that it is gone now." "If thats true," I replied, "then why am I tied to this bed?" "Thats for your own safety." She continued. "You where in some kind of coma, and you kept thrashing around and you kept hurting yourself more." "Sounds like a bunch of crazy egghead stuff to me." I mumbled. The pony in the other bed laughed out loud and said, "That is just what I was thinking!" "Now umm can you get me out of-" I was cut off as the sound of clinking metal filled the room, and my restraints fell off. "Thanks, and umm sorry for the commotion earlier, I uh...don't know what came over me." I said between nervous laughs. "Actually we think that you do. What is this thing that might come back?" Twilight inquired. "Twilight! Thats rude! Asking personal questions when he doesn't even know our names!" White said. "Right of course, I'm so sorry sir, I'm Twilight Sparkle." Nailed it! I thought as a grin escaped me. "Rarity, at your service." White said. "I'm Applejack, pleased-ta-meetcha." Orange continued the role call. "I'm Pinkie Pie!" Pink continued. Why does that sound...so familiar? I wondered as the buzzing in my head grew louder. "H-hi, u-umm I-I'm Fluttershy." Said the yellow pegasus. Last was the pegasus on the bed next to me. "And I'm-" I cut her off. "Equestria's best and most prestigious flier? Or am I at the wrong place?" "Hehe, I like you already!" She said smugly while beaming at her friends. Wow...her smile... I thought with awe. Rarity noticed me staring at Rainbow and winked at me. I almost blushed, but I managed to resist it. "Now what is your name?" Twilight asked me. "Its...umm...uhh...Silver Moon?" I asked myself aloud. The others noticed the uncertainty of my voice and Twilight asked, "Is that your actual name or are you just making it up on the spot?" "Well I think its my name... I just don't quite remember-" I was struck with a wave of painful images, almost like a really bad hangover. In the background, the vitals machines went crazy and spewed out random beeps and alarms as I clutched my head with my hooves. I saw the doctors rush in and force the five ponies, that were not in beds, out of the room. As I watched and concentrated on the room, noticing the little details, I noticed the pain start to deteriorate until my head didn't hurt at all. "What was that?" I heard Rainbow say, over the ringing in my ears. "I don't know," I replied, "a bunch of images flooded into my brain and it hurt like the worst hangover that I have ever had!" "Huh thats weird. You should probably get that checked out. Hey, speaking of hangovers I know this great bar in town! You should come sometime! That is if your up for it?" She asked, challengingly. "Aww, I don't know... I wouldn't want to show you up in your own town." I replied with a grin. "Haha! Is that a challenge?" She asked, that spark back in her eyes. "I don't know. Is it?" I asked her back. "Your so on! But first we need to get out of this place and find some food, I'm starving!" She said pointing to her stomach. "Agreed!" Rainbows and HangoversAn Encounter With Pinkamena The sunlight shone through the Cakes shop window as Shadowfang was twitching in his sleep from one of his worst memories, the time he had messed up and let someone almost kill him. He had fallen asleep on the flour sacks after he had laid down ‘just for a minute’. Shadowfang had already spent all morning cleaning up after Pinkie Pie and her huge messy parties. His boss Mr. Cake walked by and gently shook him. “Shadowfang were out of sugar again, could you grab some? I need to tend to the front.” Shadowfang opened his bright blue eyes and flashed a smile that could melt a mare’s heart, “Of course, that crazy pony and her parties!” He stood up and stretched his body and let his large bat wings unfurl and reach for the sun. Mr. Cake smiled and nervously took a step back, he had known Shadow from when he had first appeared in Ponyville, he was the first out of everypony to offer him a job, but the wings had always made him nervous. Shadowfang quickly pulled the offending appendages back in and flashed his signature smile again, “I'll take care of everything back here, you go deal with the front.” “There’s no reason to be scared of such a friendly and kind pony, even if he does look a little frightening!” Shadow overheard his boss mumbling to himself as he walked away. Oh fantastic, he is afraid of me...I still have to gain someponies’ trust I guess.. “Thank you Shadow! I know Pinkie can seem obnoxious but she only means it in good fun.” Shadow nodded and headed over to the shelves. He waited until Mr. Cake was completely gone before his smile disappeared and he punched out a bag of flour. “I fucking hate Pinkie, I hate cleaning up after her because she’s too stupid to do it herself. I should make her pay, no pony deserves to be this happy when they make so many ponies miserable.” He took a deep breath and tried calming down; he didn’t need that attitude here. It could draw much unneeded attention. His pitch-black coat glistened in the sunlight as he scanned the shelves trying to figure out which sugars needed to be restocked. Five different kinds of sugar were missing and he groaned quite loudly. Mr. Cake walked by on his way to get some forgotten flour and chuckled at Shadow groaning, ponies all around Ponyville liked Shadowfang despite not knowing where he came from or anything about his past. He just walked in to Ponyville one day and asked for a large house at the edge of town, paid in full, and stayed inside for a day or two decorating before coming out to greet his new town. Ponies were at first wary that a pitch black pony with bat wings, a jet black horn, teeth that seemed sharp, and a scar over one of his eyes was living in their midst but they watched him shop and talk to others and they eventually came to love his cheerful attitude and would stop by to chat with him whenever they had a chance. Shadow never cared though, just needed to make sure everyone trusted him enough to walk in their midst. Shadowfang worked for the Cakes stocking shelves and helping ponies out with their orders. When he first worked there he had tried decorating cakes but he found he did not have the eye for it so he stuck with cleaning and making cakes. Pinkie was there to help him out though but he never really liked her, she was much to cheerful and full of energy for him. Pinkie Pie baked cupcakes for the Cakes but she never cleaned up her mess or restocked what she had used. “Pinkie Pie and her cupcakes.” he muttered as he opened the basement door to go down and get some more sugar. He flicked on the light and started walking down the steps; he grabbed the bags of sugar with his magic and began walking back up the steps. “This is the sixth time I have had to stock these shelves because of stupid pinkie and her stupid cupcakes. Her parties are the worst! I’ll talk to her about this, we can’t keep wasting all the sugar.” Feeling a scary familiar anger start to boil inside him, Shadowfang ran up the stairs and slammed the door thinking of all the ways he had taught himself to calm down. Busy in thought he walked around the corner right into Pinkie Pie. He shook sugar out of his mane and looked up to see Pinkie hopping around, covered in sugar, looking excitedly at him. “Shadowfang! You missed another one of my great partayys! Again.” Then her hair went down a little and she looked at him sadly and asked, “Do you not like me? Or my parties? Am I doing something wrong? You’re the only pony in Ponyville who doesn’t show up.” Shadowfang stood up and dusted himself off; he ignored her and began salvaging what sugar he could. Pinkie Pie mewled pathetically behind him “Shadow?” Most ponies would have broken down immediately and began apologizing to Pinkie and hugging her saying how sorry they were and that they loved her parties. Shadowfang however turned around and coldly said “Pinkie I had a ton of work to do and now I have even more because you can't act like a adult and clean up after yourself. Grow up Pinkie and do your fucking job.” He turned around thinking to himself, Pinkie is a tough girl, she will be back to jumping around and being annoying in no time. Suddenly Pinkie Pie jerked him around so he was facing her face to face. Shadowfang flared out his wings and started to yell but his eyes grew wide as he stared back into a face he knew too well and had hoped he’d never have to see again. Pinkies hair was flat and dead as if all the fun and playfulness inside of her disappeared and would never come back. Her cheerful smile everyone knew was long gone and in replace was a twisted sick smile that would chill anypony to the bones, but what threw him off were her eyes. Pinkie’s bright eyes were dull and wild looking. It was like all the life and light inside of her had left. Shadow stared back at her not moving, he was very careful with situations like this. He knew all too well what could happen if he wasn’t careful, the scar over his eye reminded him of past mistakes and Shadowfang vowed to not let it happen again. “Pinkie…” he said in a soothing voice “Pinkie why don’t we take a walk to my house and we can make some cupcakes and have a nice talk.” She turned her head at a unnatural angle and frowned. Shadow cleared his throat and tried again. “Pinkie we can head to my house and make some of your famous cupcakes! You can use any ingredient you want! I mean ANYTHING that comes to mind.” She broke into a frightful grin and nodded vigorously and shouted, “Last one there is a rotten corpse! Er I mean egg!” And she took off out the backdoor and was gone. Shadowfang calmly walked to the front of the store and pulled Mr. Cake aside and began telling him his perfect elaborate lie, “Pinkie went to visit her relatives in Las Pegasis. I think she mentioned cousins or something? I’m not sure, but hey! Its nice she’s getting out of our hair for a couple days, or was it weeks? Anyway I finished stocking everything so I'm heading home early. If you need anything let me know okay?” Shadow lied perfectly and made sure to not slip up once, this was a second nature to him. Besides, who wouldn’t trust Ponyville’s favorite pony? Mr. Cake nodded and smiled, “Sure Shadow, thanks for the help today!” Shadow smiled as he walked out the door, “Of course! I'll see you tomorrow.” Then as the door swung shut he muttered under his breath, “Hopefully.” He walked down the street nodding and smiling at his various pony friends; he put on the perfect smile and had his usual charm. He walked by the shops admiring all their items and wares as if it would be the last time he saw them. Shadow trotted by a diner and he saw Octavia and Vinyl Scratch who quickly caught his attention and waved him over to their table where they were eating lunch. Shadowfang groaned, he loved these two but they were always inviting him to concerts and then would fight with each other. They even got him to sing with them onstage. It did not go too well for him, he was booed offstage and later he claimed he was to drunk to remember. Octavia was a famous musician who played for the fancier crowd of Equestria while Vinyl Scratch was better known as DJ Pon3y and played her dubstep for everyone around Equestria. Octavia broke into a smile and said warmly, “Shadow! How are you doing? I haven’t seen you for a day or so! I mi-“ She was cut off as Vinyl shouted through a mouth full of hay fries “SHADOW!! Where have you been dude? We missed you a lot! Right Tavi?” Octavia looked at her friend with a dirty look and said, “Absolutely, you should come to our show! Were trying out a joint concert this Friday at the amphitheater! Want to come?” Vinyl smirked at him and said, “We will have food and drinks and some special stuff if you're interested?” She winked at him and made a motion like she was rolling up a joint. Octavia looked horrified and quickly smacked Vinyl’s hooves to stop them from doing such a vulgar gesture. Shadowfang knew he needed to be home now, so to quicken things up he looked down at the excited looking ponies and flashed his grin and purred “Ladies, you know there is nothing more in the world I would love to do then go to your concert. Of course Ill be there Friday! See you at the amphitheater? “ They both grinned like little fillies and said ecstatically “Yay thank you Shadow! It means the world to us! You can even come up and sing something with us! Again!” Shadowfang winced at the memory and said, “We shall see, later guys!” He quickly turned around to start walking home, he knew Pinkie would have set up some sort of elaborate trap at his house up for him by now. “Great” he thought, “now I get to deal with a bloody mess today.” Shadowfang actually smiled remembering fond memories of his past; he shook his head chuckling and began to quicken his pace in anticipation of arriving home. It seemed like a couple seconds to him but he was standing outside his house, the door was wide open but other then that, it gave no indication anyone had come home. He closed his eyes and smiled, if anyone had been watching him they would have noticed his wings unfurling, his teeth growing sharper, and his horn flashing a black light for a second. When Shadowfang opened his eyes again, they were a bright red, everypony could have noticed his beautiful blue eyes gone, and everypony would have been a bit scared to see his eyes glowing red, he took a deep breath and smiled, Shadowfang began walking into his house and not an ounce of fear was in him despite knowing what terrors were awaiting for him inside. The SlaughterMe. In a Barfight. With Twenty Drunk Ponies. We silently exited our beds out the window and flew to a place Rainbow called Sugarcube Corner. Upon arrival, she knocked on the door, because it was technically closed, and we were greeted by a stallion with very peculiar, and familiar characteristics. His coat, mane and tail were the same as the demon's, a black that trapped you if you looked at it, and he had wings like a bat's, made of a leathery substance instead of feathers. There was a major difference, but it was still just as unnerving, his eyes, they were a blue that invited you in, a blue that seemed friendly, almost too friendly. "Oh hello Rainbow Dash, you must be here for Pinkie, I'll go get her." He said, and he left us in front of the counter. "Who was that?" I asked while leaning over to Rainbow. "Oh that? That was Shadowfang, he moved here before you did." "Oh, ok." I decided to end the conversation on account of Pinkie nearly killing me in one of her hugs, but I made a mental note to look into this 'Shadowfang' character. "Hi guys! They let you out of the hospital already? Right after your, um... incident? Thats weird, but never mind you guys are probably hungry, why else would you visit me? Unless you want to plan a party! But wait a party has already been-" "Uhh yeah Pinkie we came here cause we were hungry. Not for anything else, nope no sir, nothing else at all." Rainbow cut her off, and laughed nervously. Oh great a surprise welcome party, my favorite. I thought sarcastically as Pinkie went into the back. I looked out the window at the night sky. I couldn't remember seeing anything more beautiful. Then again I don't remember much in the first place. I looked at the moon, on of the most beautiful things I have ever seen. I walked towards the window to get a better look when the room lit up. It took me a second to realize that it was just the moon reflecting off of my silver coat. Yes my name is definitely Silver Moon. I thought, happy that I could confirm something about my past. "No matter how beautiful it is, it still won't match her." I thought, aloud. "Who?" Rainbow asked from behind me. "Oh no one, just the mare of my dreams." I replied with a face the couldn't be read. "And who might that be? It isn't Rarity is it? Oh for Celestia's sake we don't need another Spike on our hands!" She said. "No its not Rarity." I deadpanned while stifling wave upon wave of laughter. I looked back outside, this time with the rainbow maned pegasus looking beside me. I let my eyes wander to the destruction before me. "Oh no," I said, "maybe you shouldn't have brought me to the hospital, maybe I should have payed for this, no I definitely should have payed for this, yet you still risk your life, and the lives of your very neighbors, just to save me some stranger who can't remember his past, why?" "Because you saved my life, twice, and I have only accounted for one of those, I still owe you another." She said, and did I catch a hint of seduction in those words? It was then that I realized that I had my suit on the entire time I was here. "Hmmm... suit retract?" I commanded it. The suit complied as it retracted into itself, forming a pair of saddlebags on by back. The room was instantly ten times brighter, as more of the moon reflected off of my coat. "Whoa...thats so awesome!" Rainbow said. "Heh, yeah. It is." I replied dreamily, for I wasn't really paying attention, I was to busy staring at the beautiful, glowing blue pegasus before me. I saw Pinkie staring at me from around the corner that led into the kitchen, with the biggest grin I had ever seen. I looked at her, and she did some motions that to me looked like a bunch of ways she could kill me, all while mouthing words. I could only understand one of them, it seemed like it was repeated over and over, DIE. She then brought over two cupcakes that looked exactly the same, but handed them to each of us. She handed them to us! She didn't put them down on the table, so we could randomly choose which one to have! Probably because she didn't want to poison her friend, but she wanted to poison me! That had to be it! "Thanks Pinkie! We have to go now, so I can show Silver where his new job will be, if he is interested." Said Rainbow, oblivious to the death threat I had just received. Once we were out of Sugarcube Corner, I silently told my suit to scan the cupcake for any signs of poisonous chemicals. "Negative. No harmful chemicals found. The compound is composed of-" My suit was interrupted by Rainbow flying in front of my face. "Are you going to eat that?" She asked. "Uh no probably not." I replied, I wasn't sure that there weren't any forgotten poisons in the cupcake. "Why not?" "I...want to keep an athletes diet so I can stay fit." I said, proud of myself for thinking of such a good lie. "Right of course." She said as I watched her eyes wander from my face around my somewhat lean and fit body. I was strong and I looked the part, but I still had barely any muscle tone compared to Otis. Otis? Who is Otis? I wondered, but I knocked it up to it being some kind of celebrity. "Anyways," I said to draw her eyes back to my face, "you were gunna show me where my new job was?" I asked, reminding her of the task at hand. "Right, well we are already here." She said, pointing to the run down abandoned building next to us. "Um are you sure?" I asked her wearily. "Yeah, I'm sure." She said as we walked up to the only pony in sight. When he saw Rainbow, he knocked on the brick, and a pair of eyes looked out from the wall. He whispered something to the eyes and a door opened. We were immediately flooded with loud beeps and whines that were blended together to make a robotic symphony. We were also flooded with the smell of burgers, fries and beer. "This is my kinda place!" I yelled at her to be heard over the music. "I thoguht it would be! Thats why I brought you here! Now, I know the owners pretty well and I might be able to persuade them to let you have a job here as a bouncer. The pay is reasonable, all you have to do is knock on the door when a customer approaches and deal with any fistfights in the place!" She told me. "Ok! That sound good! Now lets go find the owners!" I replied. "Great! We wont have to look very hard! One of them is the DJ and one of them works the bar! They take turns, and even with the different styles of music, food and drinks every time they switch, they still manage to get a full house almost every night!" "Alright! Lets get to it!" I said while chuckling. "Whats so funny?" She asked. "I just realized, I gunna be working the corner!" I said as I bust out in laughter. Rainbow joined me and we laughed until there were tears in our eyes, then we walked over to the bar where a white mare with a blue mane and tail and a strange tattoo on her side, was currently serving a really drunk stallion some french fries. Whats with those tattoos? Everypony seems to have one. I wondered. I noticed that if her coat was a little more reflective and her man and tail were whiter, we would look like twins. Seeing a chance for some fun, I silently told my suit to give me the same pair of glasses as her and to dye my mane and tail a deep blue, just like hers was. "Hey Rainbow, how do I look?" I asked the pegasus. She had to do a double take. "Woah, you look like a stallion version of Vinyl! That's crazy!" She replied with a laugh. We walked up to Vinyl, and got her attention, she nearly fainted. "Ohcelestiaohcelestiaohcelestia! Who the hell are you?" She yelled, just then me and Rainbow burst into laughter and nearly doubled over. My suit turned me back to normal and Vinyl calmed down a little bit. "Not cool dudes! Not cool!" Vinyl said, obviously suppressing laughter herself. "Relax Vinyl! I have a new recruit for ya!" Dash said. "Oh is it this look-alike?" Vinyl asked. "Yeah, he's the guy. He saved my life twice, and he has only been here for a day!" Rainbow said, while flailing her arms around. "Really? Well thats impressive." Vinyl said, not really paying attention. "Yeah! Impressive enough to let him be a bouncer for ya, right?" Rainbow continued. "Yeah sure. So for your first job, beat the snot out of that guy." She said, pointing to a drunk that was trying to get onstage. I almost asked why, when I decided that she had a good reason. I walked over to the drunk who was now onstage and shoved him off. "H-haaaayyyy man dats noh cooooooll!" He slurred. "Ya wanna fight meh er somethin'? Cuz I'ma willin' ta go at it wichu!" He said, blindly punching the air in front of him. I proceeded to sidestep all of his punches until he was worn out, by this time the entire bar was in a circle around us. While he was bending over to catch his breath I took a look around. It was definitely a lot nicer than it looked from the outside. The walls were a beep blue, almost navy. There was a bar near the front, made completely out of Everfree wood. In the back was the dance floor and a double DJ stage, also made out of Everfree wood. The DJ stands looked pitch black, behind one of them was a grey coated pony with a black mane and tail. That must be the DJ. I thought. I barely dodged the next hit, because it was from a different drunk, on the other side of the room. The only reason that I dodged it at all was his extremely clumsy and loud manner of attacking me. There were more people walking in from the circle, all were variously drunk. Some were almost sober, while others could barely stand. All the while during my examination of the bar's interior, a total of 20 ponies were in a fighting stance. Oh great. Suit helmet on, project a skull on the outside and initiate battle. I thought. The last time I had a headache, a 'flash' as Rainbow had come to call them, I learned basically an instruction manual for the suit I was wearing. I also learned its name, Echo 1-3, and how to activate the AI so we could...well...talk I guess. All I had to do was think it and the suit did it. Once my helmet was on, the HUD indicator popped up and showed all of the ponies around me at once. They were all in a shade of blue, because that is the color the holograms would have the best resolution at. The suit also injected me with large amounts of adrenaline and caffeine, so the world around me would seem slower, hence upping my reaction time. I've got to hand it to that random knowledge, it sure is useful! I thought just before I engaged in a battle with 20 drunk ponies. InterrogationFOR THE WUBS DUDE! FOR THE WUBS! "Right hook, uppercut, left jab, hail-mary..." My suit listed the attacks of the oncoming ponies, as I dodged them all. I dodged until they got frustrated, which was pretty fast seeing as they were drunk, thats when I started my counter attack. There was somepony behind me that was trying to blindside me, I ducked, grabbed his arm and chucked him at an idiot that was charging without looking, they both hit the ground with a satisfying THUD. Next were three guys that wee attacking me from the front and both sides. I ran to my right and jumped, landed on the first pony's face with a CRUNCH. Before his body hit the ground, I jumped backwards and latched onto the neck of the closest pony with my fore hooves, swung around his neck like it was a pole, and, still holding onto him, swung my back hooves over the third pony's head and planted them on his back. This resulted in the third pony face-planting into the second pony's legs, causing them to land in a pile. Five down, fifteen to go! I thought. The next pony attempted a sloppy right hook, that ended in me ducking, and slamming my hoof into his chest, sending him flying into another pony, and they both went through a nearby table. "Thats comin' out of your pay dude, those aren't cheap!" I heard Vinyl say, while Rainbow just laughed. Five ponies surrounded me and all tried to hit me at once. "Really? You guys are drunker than I thought." I deadpanned, while I jumped and they all hit each other. "Thats...um...crap I lost count..." "Twelve!" Yelled Rainbow. "Thank you!" I replied. The next three were much smarter, they waited for me to move first. They were still drunk however, so they couldn't stop me. I pulled a flying kick on the first one, he ducked but that set me in a perfect position to flip him. Without looking I lay back like I was planking, and I reached my hooves behind my head, just in time to catch the pony's head. Using his body as the center of rotation, I flipped and took him with me. In mid air I decided to end this quick so I could drink myself to sleep tonight, so instead of just slamming him, I snapped him like a bull whip, resulting in a squeal of pain from my assailant. Afterwards I threw him at the pile of would-be-fighters. "I'm getting bored... TIME TO GET GRUESOME!!" I said in as creepy a voice as I could, which was pretty damn creepy considering the voice modification abilities of my suit. I watched as not just the audience, but both Vinyl and Rainbow retract in fear, although Rainbow recovered quickly and stood firm. Alright suit, lets see your scariest weapon. I thought to it. "Yessir." It replied as a pair of dual plasma shotguns popped out and began to charge. "Now, anyone that would like to die, please keep fighting, or we can continue our nights like nothing happened, and we can still have fun! Wadda ya say?" I said to the whole crowd. The circle of spectators dissipated and I walked back towards my new boss as my suit came off, once again revealing my shining silver coat. "What was that there at the end?" Asked Vinyl still kind of scared by my performance. "Don't worry I was bluffing so that I could stop playing with kids and get to the real fun with the adults." I replied with a smile. "But bouncers aren't supposed to drink on the job dear." Said the DJ. "Don't worry Tavi, he's not on the job for now, but he will be tomorrow, be here at 5:30 and I will teach you all you need to know about being a bouncer." Said Vinyl. "Uh no offense Vinyl but, what do you know about being a bouncer? Your either a DJ or a bartender, your never a bouncer." I said. "Duh! I own the place, I make the rules! As long as it is alright with the other owner, Tavi." Vinyl said in an unorthodox introduction to my second boss. "Its a pleasure meeting you, my name is Octavia, and you are?" Asked the DJ. Wow, the way she talks, you would never suspect her to be into the kind of music she was playing earlier. "My name is Silver Moon, and might I add, that was quite an unorthodox soundtrack for a lady such as yourself to be listening to." I said in the best Canterlot accent I could. "Hey whats that supposed to mean?" Asked Vinyl, offended by my comment. "I'm not saying that the music or the way you talk is bad, I'm simply stating that I would have originally thought that you were more of a classical kind of mare than a hardcore-dubstep-rap-industrial mare." "Tis true I was originally appalled by this type of music but, Vinyl here made e see things a different way." She said as she snuggled into the mare's blue mane. Oh...they're a couple...sweet! I thought. It was then that I noticed the air in the room became, devoid of...something...I couldn't quite put my finger on it but there was something missing. I looked around the room starting with the stage. Everything looked normal, except for the damage caused by the fight. That was until I circled around to the bar, where I watched as a familiar all black stallion was sitting down. This guy? There is something about him...something evil... I thought. "Hey its Shadowfang! Wassup Shadow, ya need a drink? Ya want the usual?" Vinyl asked as she took station behind the bar counter. "Yeah, the usual will be fine." Vinyl used her magic to make the drink while walking towards the stallion, she had it done before she even got there. "Thanks." He said as he put some bits on the counter and downed his drink in one gulp. "Hey boss!" I yelled over at Vinyl. "Yeah?" "I'll have what he's having!" I said. "Are you sure? Its pretty strong." She said. "Yeah, I'm sure." I replied. Once I received the drink, I looked over at the stallion and made the universal sign for cheers and downed the drink as well. After that first drink, all of the events of the night blended together into a big jumble. I woke up on the edge of the gorge, it was dawn. I could tell because of the morning dew. I realized that I had barely any memory of what happened between that first drink and now. I remember chugging, a drinking contest, throwing up, brushing my teeth, a hug, and a kiss. A kiss from Rainbow Dash. Also I remember having to carry her back to her house. Thats it though. I thought to myself, satisfied with getting black-out drunk. I wasn't even the slightest bit worried about what embarrassing things that I might have done last night. I had fun, for the first time I could remember, I had fun! However, just to be safe, I checked the cameras and monitors in my suit to see if I may have hurt anypony, either physically or emotionally. Have fun? Check! No one hurt that didn't deserve it? Check! Nothing embarrassing done? Check! I then reached a video that had just the four of us, Rainbow, Vinyl, Octavia and I. Everyone was passed out except for me and Vinyl. "H-hey Vinnie *hick* w-why do ya do...what you do, ya know? Why be a D-*hick*-J of all things? Why didn't you become something else?" "Mah cutie mark *hick* told me that ah just looooooooved mu-music, so I do. Plus there is the wubs." She slurred. "Whats a cu-*hick*-tie mark?" I asked half-heartedly. "I DO IT FOR THE WUBS DUDE! FOR THE WUBS!" She shouted before passing out with the rest of them. The recording ended with me carrying Rainbow home and tucking her into bed. Hmmm... what's a cutie mark? I wondered. The Battle for PinkieRainbows and Hangovers I looked out across the gorge to see a beautiful sunrise. The mists of the morning, clinging to my mane like a foal to its mother, making it shine all the brighter. I found a suitable spot, and watched the sunrise. As it came up, it turned the mist into a chilled fire. The landscape in front of me shown through a veil of orange and yellow. As the sun hit just the right spot, it caused the droplets to refract the early morning light, sending a rainbow of color in my direction that bounced off my coat, turning the surrounding landscape to every color imaginable. I watched in awe, as I was hypnotized by a beauty that surpassed even a Sonic Rainboom. Speaking of which, there was only one thing that could make this any better...a sense of happiness flooded through me when I heard a voice in the shadows behind me. "I knew I would find you out- whoa..." Said Rainbow as she looked upon the radiance that was Celestia's morning. "Maybe I should come out here more often." She said as she took a seat next to me, causing my fur to stand on end in anticipation and pure joy. I remained silent, thanking all of the powers that be for bringing her to me, at this time and place, to view one of the most romantic and beautiful sights in all of Equestria. I felt something on my shoulder, I looked to see Rainbow resting her head while being completely entranced by the sight before her. In that moment I was in utter bliss, being in even the slightest contact with the mare I loved so much that my heart ached, in combination with the scenery that was beautiful enough to inspire feelings in even the hardest of hearts. I didn't realize that I had put my arm around her until she sighed dreamily. I immediately retracted myself from the embrace, trying to come up with some excuse, when she grabbed my arm, and placed it back around her shoulder. "Don't, this is the perfect moment...don't ruin it...please..." She said, breaking her trance for just long enough to relay the message. "I won't." I promised as I brought my head down to kiss her own. I wanted this moment to last forever, there was nothing that could beat this. No experience possible that could top the high I was feeling in this moment. This perfect moment. “Hey Rainbow, I think that we have a problem!” A pegasus yelled from one of the clouds above us interrupting my attempt at a tender, heartfelt kiss. Quickly regaining her composure, Rainbow replied, “What is it Thunderlane! I thought I told you that I’m off duty today!” “Yeah I know, but this is an emergency!” Thunderlane cried. “What level of an emergency?” Rainbow asked. “Omega Red! Now hurry! We don’t have much time!” The pegasus responded before flying away. “Shit!” Rainbow exclaimed, “I’m sorry for interrupting this, but this is a really big emergency.” She said as she kissed me on the cheek and left me sitting on the edge of the cliff. That was...strange... to think that she would kiss me...I only just met her a couple days ago... eh, it was probably an illusion. She probably didn’t really kiss me, there was no explanation for it! I thought after realizing what had just happened. “Either that or I’m still feeling the effects of the alcohol.” I continued out loud. Wait a minute... “Hey suit.” I said. “Yes sir?” “Why did I get drunk last night? I thought the nanobots were supposed to filter all of the newly introduced alcohol from my system?” “Sir, you barely have enough nanobots to heal your injuries. You can’t expect to have any extras to work on the unimportant things like purging your system of alcohol you consumed, ON PURPOSE, may I remind you.” I wonder if I can repurpose those ones left, for just a little while... I thought as images of me and Rainbow in suggestive positions were brought to the front of my mind. “Oh right, I wonder if Rainbow has noticed the little gift I gave her yet.” I continued out loud, a devilish grin spreading across my face. “What gift?” Said a voice from behind me. I turned to see Rarity, if I remember her name right, standing behind me in the forest. “R-rarity, I um didn’t see you there...how long have you been there?” I asked. “I got here just in time to see Rainbow leave. Why did you do anything you shouldn’t have?” She asked. “Nope nothing happened, it's just, if I didn’t know any better, I’d say you were stalking me.” I lied, trying to get her off the scent. “W-why, what in the name of Equestria gave you that idea?” She asked, a little nervous at the notion. Oh great, she really is isn’t she? Well thats a lucky shot in the dark I guess...or the awkward discovery of a stalker in this case. I thought as I mentally facehooved “I just saw a flash of color over here, when Rainbow Dash flew by me in the same direction. I came to investigate.” “Oh, yeah that was just the sunlight being refracted off of the morning dew, it in turn reflected off my coat.” I replied dumbly. “Really!? I’ve never known a coat to do that before!” She exclaimed in astonishment. “Well my coat isn’t normal, it's the only one in the entire world that has these special qualities.” I said, unaware of the fashion beast that I was unleashing upon myself. “REALLY!? I must create a unique wardrobe just for you! Don’t worry about your budget, it'll be for free, as long as you are there yourself,” She said, “you being there is enough payment for me.” Continued the now blushing mare, almost inaudibly. “What did you say? I couldn’t quite hear that last part.” I said, even though I had heard her clearly enough to understand her true motives. Wow...this is interesting to say the least...I thought Pinkie was weird...this pony is just obsessed...no, thats not the right word, all she has proven is that she has a crush on me, everything else was just by my assumption. “N-nothing, lets just get to making your new outfits to go with your new residency of Ponyville!” She replied quickly. “Oh, ok-” I returned as she grabbed my hoof, and hurriedly ran towards the town. I saw out of the corner of my eye what looked like a figure standing in the shadows in the trees behind me. Shadowfang? Nah I saw him go home...and he was barely sober enough to stand let alone follow me. **************************** We entered a large purple carousel, that turned out to be Rarity's house and boutique. As we entered I was stunned by the brilliance, and so much purple! There was way too much purple here. As I looked around my false smile faded, it was very very very purple, and really really shiny. It was so shiny that it almost blinded me from the hideousness of the purple, which was admittedly welcome. Rarity noticed me gawking at the interior, and mistook it for my liking it. “Oh, now I know my home is beautiful, but there is no need to just stand there staring! Come on we need to size you up!” She said. Shit... I thought as I saw her bring out multiple materials in a variety of colors. I was very impressed with her ability to multitask so efficiently. “So...um what are we doing again?” I asked, still kind of caught on the fact the there was flying fabrics all throughout the entrance. “I am going to make you a plethora of clothing so you can have a new outfit as a new resident of Ponyville! I thought I told you that?” She answered. “Oh, you probably did, I was just too hungover to remember from my wonderful night out with Rainbow Dash.” The last two words were said way more dreamily than intended. Whoa...I still have very little control over myself...so much purple...so many fabrics... I let my thoughts wander, still in awe at the unicorns magical prowess. I didn’t notice she was talking to me until she nudged me into place and made me stay as still as possible. Everything was still kind of blurry from the vast consumption of alcohol, so it seemed her movements were erratic and mysterious, I had no idea what she was going to do next. “Whoa...you are moving really fast...ARG!” I screamed as I was hit with a wave of pain unlike anything that I had experienced before, my limbs failed, my thoughts slurred worse than my speech, and I saw the familiar sight of the floor approaching my face. ******************************* However, I wasn’t lucky enough to pass out before I hit the floor. So here I am,on the ground, with a broken nose, writhing in pain, holding my head, waiting for it to subside. Rarity was standing over me, or from what I could tell, she could’ve been under me, based on how the room just wouldn’t stop spinning. She was crying, obviously unsure of what to do, she started screaming for help, which definitely didn’t help the headache. I saw a black figure rush through the door, and I was filled with a sense of dread that nearly took my mind off of the excruciating pain I was in. “What...wrong...him?” He said, his dark words piercing the veil of my pain. “I...know...he...then...hurt...HURRY!” Rarity replied, her volume causing even more pain. “I...my...across...help...worry.” He said, as he picked me up with his surprisingly warm magic aura. We sped through the town towards the northern end of town. How the hell did I know that? I thought, as I watched the trees and houses speed by in a daze. We entered a rather large house at the edge of town, and I noticed that Rarity wasn’t with us. I instantly felt terrified, knowing that we were alone, and that he could do anything he wanted to me. Thats when I finally passed out. An Encounter With PinkamenaThe Battle for Pinkie Shadowfang walked blindly into the darkness. He searched for the light switch, he wanted to try it even though he knew it wouldn’t work. he found his hunch was true. He still wasn’t afraid though, because he didn’t need light to see. he was the spawn of the darkness, he could see through the veil of darkness like his eyes were lighthouses cutting through fog. He searched for any traps, tripwires, timers pressure plates, anything Pinkie could come up with in this short of a time. Satisfied that there were not traps in his immediate vicinity, Shadowfang continued on his search for the mentally ‘unsound’ person that could or could not be in his house. He rounded the corner into the kitchen to see a plate of cupcakes on the counter, with a note on it. Shadow walked up to it cautiously, checking his surroundings, he grabbed the note and read it aloud. “Send me a postcard from hell would ya? Signed Pinkamena Pie? Aww how nice.” He said just before the explosion ripped any other words from his mouth. He woke up, tied to a chair, in his own interrogation room. “Oh this is cute.” He said, still not feeling any fear for what was about to come. He quickly started working on weakening the bonds, he stopped as he heard someone start to enter the room. “Hi Pinkie! How are you?” He asked. “My name isn’t Pinkie! It's Pinkamena!” She yelled at him. “Oh ok, how are you, Pinkamena?” “I’m good.” She replied flatly. “Good, good...now about those cupcakes...” He started. “They were supposed to kill you...why didn’t they kill you? They would have killed any normal pony, but I guess you aren’t a normal pony are you?” She asked, looking him over and tilting her head to each side at unnatural angles. “Why whatever do you mean?”Shadowfang asked, buying time for his escape. “Not only do you look different, you act different, you think different. Over all you are more like me than anypony else on this earth!” She said maniacally. “Of course I am...” Shadowfang said sarcastically, barely holding back his joy at hearing his bonds snap off. “You are! You’re a mental basket case! Your bat-shit crazy! You take those green n’ yellow, purple pills! We are the exact same!” She said walking around in circles. She turned around to see a chair enveloped in a aura, blacker than luna’s night, come flying at her from the corner of the room. She ducked, just in time. “Ha! you think thats enough to kill me? Well you were-” THWACK! The chair flipped around in mid-air, and broke over her head. “I’m not anything like you!” Shadow shouted in defiance. “Oh but you are! We are both unloved and unwanted. We both need to hide who we really are to be accepted by these silly pony fools. We can do so much better than them. They deserve to cower beneath us, they deserve to have fear struck in their heart when we simply walk by.” Shadowfang straightened up and flared out his wings, “No, i'm better than that. I’m here to make sure ponies like you won't ever hurt anyone again.” “Now I’m going to give you a chance, to walk out of here with no more pain involved, and I really hope you say no to this, but: If you leave Ponyville and don’t come back until you are normal, then I will let you go, if not...then I’m going to have a lot of fun for the rest of the evening!” “FUCK YOU! I’M NOT LEAVING MY FRIENDS TO YOU!” Pinkamena shouted from her position on the ground. “Good, now I have a show to go with my dinner!” Shadow said as he picked her up with one hoof and threw her at the door. A COUPLE HOURS LATER Shadowfang was walking to the oh-so-famous hidden bar. This was the only place to get a proper drink in this town, and Celestia knew he needed one from all of the beatings he had to give Pinkamena to get her to submit to Pinkie’s control. Something was off, the bouncer wasn’t at the front entrance. “Hmm thats strange, it's not closing time yet...in fact I think that this should be their most popular hour.” Her thought aloud while he walked to the door. The bar was cleverly hidden, inside of what looked like an abandoned building, there was a very high quality, and very popular bar. It was the first and most likely last place in Equestria to publicly serve alcohol. As he reached the door, Shadowfang heard a loud crash, and Vinyl yelling something about a paycheck. “Oh the bouncer is probably quelling a fight.” He said. When he entered, he heard a loud demonic voice yelling, “I'm getting bored... TIME TO GET GRUESOME!!” He entered to see what looked like a robot, fighting a bunch of ponies. Shadowfang noticed his number of KOs, looking at the pile of bodies on the floor. He was amazed by the pony’s strength and speed. He was about to intervene when, the pony stopped his pummeling and out popped two pairs of cylinders from his back, a pair on his left and a pair on his right. They started emitting a high-pitched screeching sound. Shadow went to leave when he heard the pony say, “Now, anyone that would like to die, please keep fighting, or we can continue our nights like nothing happened, and we can still have fun! Wadda ya say?” “Sounds good to me.” Shadowfang mumbled to himself as he went to sit at his spot at the bar. He watched as the fighting pony walked over to Vinyl, Octavia and Rainbow who were slightly huddled in the corner, obviously terrified of the large stallion. The machinery retracted into his back with the sound of clanking metal. He saw the pony begin talking to the three mares, and they seemed to calm down. They kept talking and laughing until Vinyl spotted him sitting down. “Hey guys, its Shadowfang! Wassup Shadow, ya need a drink? Ya want the usual?” If it's the usual, then what do you think? He thought angrily. “Yeah, the usual will be fine.” He said as he noticed the fighter pony glaring at him. Vinyl went to work making the drink as Shadow and the fighter had a contest to see who could make their heat vision work fastest. They were interrupted by Vinyl slamming the drink right in front of them. Shadow threw some bits on the bar, and expertly, chugged the drink. After a moment the fighter said, “Hey boss!” Oh great he is probably a new bouncer or something. This is going to be an interesting next couple of days. Shadowfang thought with venom in his words. “Yeah?’ Vinyl repsonded. “I’ll have what he’s having!” He said, never taking his eyes off of me. "Are you sure? Its pretty strong." Vinyl warned. "Yeah, I'm sure." He said. He received the drink and downed it like Shadow had just done, but not after offering a toast to him. He ordered three more, and chugged them all. After about ten minutes, all four of them were drunk, and they shooed everyone out except for Shadow. Shadow sat there for about thirty minutes, waiting for the feeling of alcohol in his system to set in. Once it had , he took three bottles of Jack, payed for them, and walked out. He drank them all before getting home. Once he had gotten home, he stumbled to the basement, to where Pinkie Pie was, and he broke down crying. “Why do there have to be people like you here? Your kind don’t deserve to live!” He yelled at the unconscious body of Pinkie. He walked over to where he kept his tools, and brought out his favourite knife. “We have been through so much together, knife. We’ve been through good times and bad. You were always there for me when no one else was- wait why am I talking to my knife?” Shadow asked. “Oh well I came here to do this and so I will!” He shouted, more to hear his own confidence than anger. Shadow walked over to the pink, purple and blue mass, raised his dagger up high, and plunged it down into her now lifeless body. Or he would have if he didn’t have some conscience. Instead he drove it into her restraints and unlocked her. He picked her up and walked up the stairs, out the door, and to the Cake’s residence. He set her down and rang the doorbell. Mr. Cake opened the door and just about fainted, “Oh Celestia! What happened?” “I dunno, I saw her at the b-*hick*-ottom of a small c-cliff in the Everfree. So I brought her here, she is still alive, I think, and she doesn’t s-seem to have taken any bad hits to the head, so she should be f-fine*hick*.” Shadowfang slurred. “Oh um ok I’ll get her up to her room,” Mr. Cake said, “and Shadow?” “Y-yeah?” “Why were you drinking in the Everfree?” Mr. Cake asked. “I had a parrrttay! It was fun!” He replied, almost falling over when he said ‘party’. “Oh ok...you go sleep off that booze now! We might need you in the morning if Pinkie can’t do it!” He yelled to Shadow as he walked away. “Gotit!” Shadow yelled back. Shadow arrived at his house, stumbled up the stairs, and fell into his bed, face first. As he was falling asleep, he heard somepony say, “You shouldn’t have left me alive.” UpdateSorry guys, but I'm giving this one to Shadowfang. I'm starting to not enjoy this story as much as I used to and I'm going to try something else. Some people might get angry at this and I would like to shoot down their assaults. First off, no I'm not being lazy I just lost interest. Secondly, yes I am doing this because I realize that, this story is becoming a real piece of shit! Thirdly, yes I'm writing a new story, two in fact. Fourthly, yes it is kinda impatient and greedy to not continue a story when its not getting good reviews, and I know that people keep on writing against the odds, but when I come home from an absolute shit day, and see that likes and dislikes are about the same, its kinda disheartening. So I'm sorry for this inconvienience and for the shit writing I have been doing. I hope you can forgive me.\ Wulfbane42 Out
Introductions Are In OrderIt was nothing I hadn't seen before. Good, then lets get started."
The Psycho-AnalysisI was still the same old me. "Don't worry, I believe we are done here." I replied, "Lets go guys and I will teach you how to use your suits."
The First MissionThis briefing reminds me of the ones my father gave me.
"Agreed!"
Rainbows and HangoversAn Encounter With Pinkamena The sunlight shone through the Cakes shop window as Shadowfang was twitching in his sleep from one of his worst memories, the time he had messed up and let someone almost kill him.
As he was falling asleep, he heard somepony say, “You shouldn’t have left me alive.”
UpdateSorry guys, but I'm giving this one to Shadowfang.
