Chapter 1: Just Any Other Day
Previous ChapterPinkie Pie awoke with a jolt. Sweat clung to her coat.It was just a dream, she thought relieved. Putting on her ol' Pinkie self she hopped out of bed and into the bathroom. Picking up the brush with her soft hooves she attempted to tame her hair. As if her hair was fly paper the brush got tangled easily.
"Oh hair, why don't you give Mr. Brush a chance," she asked her hair snickering. As if her hair could understand, it took a tighter grasp on the brush. "Alright you win," giggled Pinkie once more. The brush easily untangled, like her hair had its own mind, and she put it back.
Bouncing down the stairs Pinkie greeted the Cakes, "Hiya Mr and Mrs Cake." The older ponies just waved as they continued to rock the twins to sleep. Pinkie noticed the small bundles and began to tiptoe to the exit.
Now where should I go to today? she thought to herself as she closed to door to Sugarcube Corners behind her. Scanning the clearing she saw Lyra and Bon Bon on their usual bench. She bounced over to them and waved a huge smile on her face. Lyra, sitting in her famous "human" position, waved.
"Hello Pinkie!" she started, "Are you planning any parties?" Pinkie put her hoof on her chin, a new serious expression was on her face.
"Nope, but a super spectacular party would be amazing! I should go plan it right now, and everyone is invited. But first I'd need streamers, and balloons. OH I KNOW! We can have 6 legged races, AND PIN THE TAIL ON THE PONY!!!" the pink mare rambled on, getting more and more excited. Bon Bon, who had been quiet gave a weary smile. Pinkie didn't notice and continued. "I gotta go, there's a lot of stuff I need to get!" Pinkie bounced away leaving behind a smiling Lyra, and a confused Bon Bon.
Pinkie Pie stood in the town hall, thousands of party thoughts going through her mind. Her thoughts, however were interrupted as Rainbowdash crash landed on her.
"Sorry Pinkie, I was testing out a move that was for sure gonna get me into the wonder-". The cyan mare was interupted by a glaring pink mare. "Er, sorry Pinkie..." she muttered. Pinkies glare hardened, but soon disappeared.
"It's alrighty Dashie!" she chirped. "I was just planning a super spectacular party." Rainbow smiled ear to ear.
"What's it about?" she asked.
"Not sure!"
"But won't it need to have a point?"
"Of course not silly, points would pop the balloons"
"I ment that- oh forget it" Rainbow said planting her hoof over her eyes.
"Well if you're done, I better go get the decorations!" Pinkie said as she hopped away to the party store.
