The Queen of my heart.

Why this story was cancelled

Previous Chapter

Let me start at the very beginning. I started this story way back in my teen years without having a very good plan. I didn't really have a very strong start and I didn't know what I wanted this story to become. I will tell you all what I wanted this story to become -- in a bit -- but let me just rant about the why.

The why, can be answered quite simply by just saying my motivation for the story died, but I will not answer this question in such a manner. In the beginning of the long hiatus, the reason I did not continue was due to the fact that I was being lazy. For the first year of the hiatus, I was just too lazy to write more, it was too much of a chore. The second year is where I just spent countless hours on Fimfiction reading everything and anything that caught my sight. It is also in that time where I started to learn a great deal about what it is to be an author. I learned how a story should flow, how the characters need to grow, how characters should act in certain situations, how the story needs to be structured and quite a few more useful tidbits. Of course, stories can break out of these molds from time to time but these should be rare moments.

Onto the final year of hiatus. The first four or five months I stopped reading entirely, yup, just up and left the reading word. I honestly don't know why I stopped so suddenly, it just happened. After that, I spent some time on Wattpad, collected a hundred or so stories before I came crawling right back to Fimfiction. This is the time I re-read The Queen of My Heart.

Let me tell you something. I was appalled by what I wrote, this story is so bad that I didn't want to continue further than two chapters. The amount of rookie mistakes I made should be put in the world's records book. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh, but it was still dreadful. I mean seriously, I switched from first person point of view to third person, in the same damn sentence! I was yelling at the screen for such a tragedy! Then I realized I wrote this garbage and I am responsible for it.

To continue this story is basically saying that I am still the same person that started this story. I am not, I have learned too much for this story to not bother me. I am better than this and one day I will prove that. This is why I'm terminating this story, it's just too shameful to continue. Of course, I will leave this story up here to remind myself of how far I have come from this.

Now then, I did promise to tell you what was supposed to happen in the future of this story, so here.

Rain and Chrysalis were supposed to leave pretty soon after calming Chris? down. I actually didn't have any plan for Chris to come along or even anything really, he was just someone I thought I would throw in. Once they left, the two would travel all the way to Area 51? Wow, why the hell did I choose that location? Anyways, after a long a grueling ride to that place they would fight their way through everything that stood in their way.

They would clear out some boss rooms and get to the vaults where they would gather all magical items and Chrysalis would take all the magic from them and, flash, send them to Equus (the world that holds Equestria). That was supposed to be the end of the first story at around 50k words.

The first ten or so chapters of the second story would have been Chrysalis and Rain finding Chrysalis' lost hive and rebuilding it and Rain becoming the king of changelings. Oh yeah, to be a dick to them both I made it so when they were transported to Equus, all the items they had on them did not make them through. The explanation to this was that only magical items could go to Equus.

That was when Rain was going to go to Ponyville, act injured and gain Fluttershy's trust by acting weak. Throughout his stay in Ponyville, Rain would continue to act weak and docile while having the same crazy adventures as main six do, starting from season 2 episode 3-ish.

After about ten more chapters of this nonsense and making Rain befriend the main six, I wanted to start the war between ponies and griffins because plot conveniences. Now, this is where Chrysalis and Rain scrap their plans and help the Equestrians to look like heroes.

Over the course of the next fifteen chapters, Celestia was supposed to see that that the changelings were helping the war and she makes an alliance with them. I don't really know what is going to happen to Rain over the course of those fifteen chapters. I do know that he helps with the war efforts since the Elements get involved.

Near the end, the main six find out about Rain being the king of the changelings and his powers as well as his words of deception. That is when the third book would have started.

The last book is his and Chrysalis' road to redemption. This was supposed to be a pretty small book in comparison to the others and would be about how Rain earns the main six's trust once more.

That is it, I don't remember enough to give you a proper run down but that is what should have happened. Sure, this was really general and if I actually came around to writing it there would have been so many more adventures along the way.

There you have it, my plan for the whole trilogy. I'm sorry for not completing it, but, in the end, that's life.

Author's Note

Maybe I will write once more in the future but I do not know when that might be. I still have much to learn after all.
