Load Full StoryNext Chapter` It was a brand new day in Ponyville. The sun was shining as bright as can be, thanks to Princess Celestia. The pegasus ponies were working hard to keep this day perfect for the unicorns and earth ponies. Many ponies of each kind were walking and trotting through Ponyville. Some needed to go grocery shopping, some needed to get to their jobs. Countless ponies were barging into Sugarcube Corner, home of Pinkie Pie. Today would be busy for the Cakes today. "Can I have the Chimmy Cherry Changa?" "I need a box of chocolate chip cookies!" "Cupcakes with extra frosting please!" Customers were ordering rapidly, it was so fast the Cakes couldn't keep up with the orders.
Today was also a very special day for the bearers of the Elements of Harmony. It was the day of the their picnic. Rarity was laying out her shiny gold picnic blanket for her friends to eat and sit on. Back at Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie Pie was baking and making food for the picnic. She was also trying to keep up with the orders that kept flying into the kitchen. The rest of the equines were preparing for their perfect picnic.
The minutes passed by as the pony friends were gathering the last materials make their picnic. Finally, they had baked the food, set up the picnic blanket, created the picnic basket, and most importantly, brought the friends together. The pony friends sat down to enjoy their perfect picnic on the perfect day. "Wow Pinkie, these cookies are delicious!" Rainbow Dash complimented Pinkie with her mouth full. "Rainbow Dash! It is not polite to talk with your mouth full." Rarity warned the rainbow maned pony. Rainbow Dash pouted and continued eating.
On the picnic blanket were foods like daffodil and daisy sandwiches, chocolate chip cookies, apple fritters, and other foods you couldn't imagine. Twilight stares at Fluttershy with loving eyes, not realizing she saw her. Applejack jerks her elbow at Twilight's arm. "Ouch! What was that for?" Twilight glared at Applejack until she answered, "Ah' know you like Fluttershy." she whispered. Twilight's face was more red than a freshly grown apple. "What... of course I don't like her! That's just silly!" The farmer smiled at the purple unicorn, awaiting the truth. Twilight pulled Applejack toward a nearby tree. "Ok! It's true! I like Fluttershy. But please, don't tell the others! I beg you!" The bookworm pony bowed down to the orange equine. "Ah Pinkie Promise that I won't tell anypony!" Applejack crossed her heart with her hoof, and waved her hooves like they were flying, and she stuck her hoof in her eye. The lavender pony hugged the honest farmer. They returned to their friends, not realizing that they didn't know they had left.
Time had passed by since they started their picnic. The moon princess had risen the moon for night to take its role. The ponies were returning to their homes to rest. Twilight Sparkle was gazing at the stars, she imagined a constellation that looked like Fluttershy. A bright idea popped into her head, "What if I asked Princess Luna if she could make a constellation of Fluttershy? She would really appreciate it." The lavender unicorn ran inside with excitement. "Spike, take a letter." Spike ran downstairs grabbing a quill and a blank parchment. "Dear Princess Luna..." Spike looked up at Twilight with an odd look, "Luna? Why would you need to send it to her?" "Just write it, Spike." Spike returned to the parchment, writing every word Twilight said until the end. "...I feel the need to ask you a favor. Tomorrow night, would you please form a constellation of Fluttershy? I'd appreciate it if you did. Your sister's faithful student, Twilight Sparkle." The bookworm pony puffed out her chest with a proud look. She finally went up her wooden stairs to get ready for sleep. Using her magic to turn off the lights, she slid into her covers to fall into a deep sleep.
