Switched Bodies
The Switcheroo
Previous ChapterPrincess Celestia's sun shone on her faithful student, Twilight Sparkle. She rubbed her eyes with her hooves and got up out of her bed. Her sight was blinded by crust surrounding her eyes. She walked over to her wall, looking for her brush. The funny thing was that her dresser wasn't there. The bookworm pony rubbed her eyes, finding herself in a different place. It was not like her home at all, birdhouses surrounded the room, and many animals were walking around. "This is not my home." She finally found a mirror on a nearby nightstand. She tried using magic, but it was no use. The purple unicorn picked up the mirror to fix her hair when she saw a familiar face. In the mirror was no longer a lavender pony, but a timid pegasus looked back at her. Twilight fell backwards into the wall with a terrified look on her face. "Am I... Fluttershy?" The shy voice of her friend had flew out of her muzzle as she spoke. A white bunny hopped into the room with a pouty look. The bookworm pegasus ran out of the room and outside of the cottage.
Back at the Golden Oaks Library, a timid pegasus awoke from her sleep. She yawned as she popped out of "her" bed. She walked over to the mirror to find her brush. It was a little different from hers, but she didn't realize it until she walked over to the oddly placed mirror. With a surprising look, she told herself, "Why do I look like... Twilight?" The brave voice of her smart unicorn friend came out, but with a timid touch to it. She walked downstairs, expecting to find the grumpy Angel. But instead, she found the baby dragon sitting at the table. "Twilight, you overslept and forgot to make me breakfast." Spike wasn't as happy as usual, since "Twilight" had woken up late. "Oh my, I'll feed you Spike. What would you like me to make you?" Fluttershy said, dropping her head low. Spike didn't notice her shyness, but he did realize he was getting hungrier by the minute. Spike thought, "She seems really tired today, maybe I can trick her into getting me a large plate of gem pancakes." Spike said with a kind tone, "Can I have a large stack of gem pancakes, please?" Spike hid his face, just in case the timid unicorn was going to get mad at him. Instead of her threatening him, she answered, "Sure."
The yellow pegasus ran into Ponyville to leave to Sweet Apple Acres. Her cyan pegasus friend was looking over a soft cloud, watching out for anything suspicious. As she was watching, Rainbow Dash saw Fluttershy galloping as fast as she could. The rainbow maned pegasus flew off her cloud to ask Fluttershy why she was in such a rush, "Hey! Flutters! Why you in such a rush?" Fluttershy yelled out, "No time to talk! Got to see Applejack!" Rainbow Dash rubbed her head in confusion, "Why would she need to see Applejack?" She shrugged off her thought and flew back to her cloud.
