Spyro the dragon was found in the Apple's orchard's alone in a basket. Taking no notice that he was in fact a baby dragon they adopted him and took care of him and Applejack's little sister. Spyro himself never knew that he wasn't a pony until Applejack told him. At school, he was ridiculed for not having a cutie mark; well until he gets one.
Cynder the dragon was utterly alone. She had no family, no friends, not even the kindest ponies would help her in anyway. Then she meets Princess Celestia and her dreams come true. Now someone will help her reach her goals, and eventually her cutie mark as well.
