Epilogue

Welcoming Saber

When Saber and twilight returned they found that Pinkie had arranged an ENORMOUS party that pretty much topped any other she had thrown in the past. “Welcome home” they all shouted, Saber looked around, there were ponies dancing and playing everywhere, the cake was huge with blue and yellow frosting and had an image of his face on it out of sparklers, there were streamers and confetti (courtesy of Discord) and a large banner that read “Welcome to ponyville Saber”. Saber blushed,

“Isn’t this a bit much?” he asked.

“Are you kidding?” Pinkie bounced over, “it’s not even enough, I mean you’re new here and I always throw a party for anypony new, you also ended up defeating that meanie stone alicorn AND you saved ponyville from all those monsters AND-” she was cut short when Saber covered her mouth.

“Hey, you’re grateful, that’s description enough for me.” Saber commented, “Now let’s PARTY” he shouted as he and Twilight joined the party.

The party lasted for hours, eventually Saber walked out to a field to watch the sun set; it had been forever since he actually saw one. “Room for one more?” Saber heard Twilight behind him,

“oh, yeah sure” he answered. “Some week huh” she asked,

“I try not to dwell on the past” Saber replied. They watched as the sun set, Saber sighed,

“are you alright?” Twilight asked,

“yeah, it’s just that I’ve been such a monster, you and your friends may be able to forgive me, but will everypony else?” he responded.

“I’m sure that they all will grow to understand you” Twilight pointed out, “just like I have” she finished. Saber looked over as Twilight put her head on his shoulder; he smiled and turned his eyes back to the horizon just as the sun set.
