Revenge is all that's left.
Chapter 6-Her escape
Previous ChapterOften fillies and foals overcome obstacles and challenges throughout their lives but, would they ever imagine the possibility of being kidnapped or a victim of child abuse!?
I held my breath. Worried if they heard, I may be caught.
I sat quietly, Listening to the two and their private conversation as they searched continuously, seeking one object and that object was me.
The mare swore aloud, throwing a wooden chair across the room. Watching as it smashed against the wall, collapsing into a pile of torn wood. Quickly, she disregarded the wooden disaster and focused on the task at hand. Finding me.
That stupid filly better come out! She is dead once I find her!" The mare shouted in an irritated voice.
"Calm down..." A second voice said reassuring. "You can do whatever you want to her as soon as we find her."
"That's right! I'll make Rainbow dash and that dumb filly regret their mistakes!"
"Calm down..." The assistant repeated, her voice sounded shaken. "We've got to find the rascal first, remember?"
"Oh. Yeah..." The mare said disappointedly. "Until then..."
The both of them whispered something softly to themselves but, I was unable to make out their words.
Before I knew it, the duo walked to the exit. And in a blink of an eye, they both had vanished.
'Rainbow dash...' I thought. 'She was always brave...'
If only, if only she could be here right now. Right beside me. To tell me that everything could be alright but, I knew only a miracle could make that dream a reality.
Last night she made her grand escape. Leaving me behind. But, for a reason. She only left me because "it would be more risky" and that they would catch us both quickly" she said.
But, I understood what she really meant. Since I was flightless, I'd only slow her down.
I wish she was still here though. With me.
"Scoots. Listen to me." She said with a voice so strong, so determined, it frightened me. "I'm going to come back. I promise."
"Really?" I asked, unsure whether I should trust her or not. Unsure whether she was lying to me or speaking the truth.
"Yes. When I do these two are in big trouble."
'Why are you leaving. Can't we fight them ourselves.' I thought but, realized fighting was fruitless. She had weapons. Rainbow dash and I had nothing, just our hooves.
Two on two was a fair match but, one pair had weapons and the second was empty handed. But, not only that, Rainbow dash was in terrible condition. Her back had scars from being whipped by her so much, her mane was stained by the blood she bled, and her face was dead tired.
"Please. Please. Don't leave me here alone." I begged softly as I wrapped my forelegs around her neck.
I was scared. Scared she wouldn't live up to that promise. Scared that she might forget about me and never return....
Tears poured down my cheeks, blinding my vision. Rainbow dash's figure became a blur but, I still knew she was here. Her cyan-colored hoof whipped away tears from my eyes, forcing me to look into her magenta eyes.
"I want you to be brave Scootaloo." She said harshly, ignoring my pleads.
But...
"Don't say a word. Don't make a sound! Stay hidden. It's your best option for defense!" She shouted, causing me to shake in my place.
"But, Rainbow dash. I'm not tough or brave like you. I can't do this." I said with pleading eyes.
At least I can't. Not alone...
"There isn't much time left. I'll come back for you tomorrow night. You'll have to stay strong Scoots." She pulled me into an affectionate hug but, I could feel her hooves shaking.
She was scared too, and couldn't hide it.
"Alright..." I said in a brave voice. "I'll try my hardest! For you Rainbow dash. I cried softly, not taking any notice to the tears streaming down my face.
Rainbow dash had misty eyes, yet, she didn't shed one tear. Nor, did she respond. She simply nodded and flew away.
I couldn't help but, feel as if she abandoned me. Left me here, lost, and alone...
