Chapters Pinkie stared down at the tombstone with the name "Gummy" engraved into it.
"C'mon Pinkie," Applejack said.
"I'll take the long way home," Pinkie replied in sorrow. She trotted off into the forest to take the long route. After a while, she heard a hoarse laugh. A gray creature pounced in front of her. It was the source of the laughing, it had a crazy look in it's eyes. It, it, it was a hyena.
"Hi there, I'm Pinkie Pie," Pinkie said to the hyena. Pinkie didn't feel like making friends at the moment, so she walked on. But the hyena followed her. Pinkie broke into a gallop. The hyena chased her.
It went on for a while. Finally, Pinkie had to catch her breath. The hyena laughed again.
"I've got an idea," Pinkie said. "If you like me so much, why don't you be my new pet! My dear friend Gummy just passed away and I'm super lonely without him."
The hyena laughed.
"Then it's settled!" Pinkie shouted.
Pinkie and the hyena ran towards her house. Once they got in, Pinkie immediately realized that the hyena needed a name.
"Stay." Pinkie said to the hyena. She made a trip to the pet store to get some supplies.
She came back with a bowl and a collar each marked with the name: Mr.Giggles.
The moon rose into the night sky. Mr.Giggles was roaming around in Ponyville. He suddenly came upon a giant tree with windows. Twilight's house.
Mr.Giggles entered. He snooped around to find food. He spotted a purple lump. It appeared to be breathing. He walked up to it.
There was a slash as the horrid hyena dug his teeth into Spike.
Twilight woke up to a sight of mayhem. Books strewn everywhere. Things lay tipped onto the ground.
"Spike!" She yelled. "Come clean this up!"
Silence.
"Spike?" She grew concerned. She found Spike on the ground. His stomach torn open. Blood leaked from his remains. Chunks of his skin were gone.
Twilight had no idea who could have done this. She began to breath heavily. She didn't know what to do.
There was a knock on Pinkie's door.
"Hello." Pinkie said.
Twilight shouted, "Spikes been killed!"
"Oh my!" Pinkie replied. "How did it happen?"
"I don't know. I woke up and there was a mess and Spike lay dead on the ground! Ohh, I don't know what to do. I've told everyone else, but they had no clue."
Just then Mr.Giggles entered the room.
"Holy Celestia! Pinkie there's a hyena right there!"
Pinkie looked over. "Oh, that's Mr.Giggles, my new pet. He likes to laugh."
"Pinkie you can't have a pet hyena! They're wild animals! They're predators! There born killers! They're-" Twilight realized something. "Was he still here last night?"
"No." Pinkie said. "He likes to walk around at night."
Twilight didn't want to rush to conclusions and if Mr.Giggles was taken away, Pinkie would be really lonely and sad again.
"Rarity, open the door!" Rainbowdash, Twilight, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Pinkie kept on knocking on her door.
"Okay, that's it!" Rainbowdash said and busted down the door.
They all gasped at what they saw: ripped furniture, fallen objects, broken glass, and worst of all, Rarity, who lay twitching on the ground with blood coming from several cuts all over.
"It... was... the... big cat." She pointed at Pinkie. "It... was... her's."
"No, it couldn't be Mr.Giggles. He's to nice. Have you heard his laugh? It's so funny!"
"Get... rid... of... the... beast." She suddenly went limp. Fluttershy fainted.
"She's... dead." Everyone burst into tears.
"Twilight!"
"What?" Twilight opened the door.
"I've got exciting news! Turns out Mr.Giggles is a Mrs.Giggles! She just had a litter!"
"Uh oh." Twilight muttered.
"There's 7, no, 8 of them. I couldn't stand if they were taken away.
Twilight sighed.
The murders kept on going. They happened in numbers now. First Spike, then Rarity, Big Macintosh, Bon Bon, Mrs.Cupcake, Lyra Heartstrings, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, Diamond Tiara, Fluttershy, Mr.Carrot Cake, Applejack, and most recently, Dr.Hooves. There had to be a way to stop this.
Pinkie wanted Giggles to try the new food she bought.
"Mrs.Giggles! Try this new food I got you! Oh there you are!"
The hyenas stalked up to her. Mrs.Giggles tried to swipe at her. The little ones advanced on her.
"What's going on?"
The hyenas ran at her now.
"AAHHHH!!" Pinkie ran out the door and slammed it behind her. She galloped over to Twilight's house. "Twilight Twilight! My own pets took over my house and drove me out!"
Twilight seemed to understand.
"I've been overthrown!!" Pinkie exclaimed.
"We need to get rid of them." Twilight responded. "Now do you believe that the hyenas killed all those innocents?"
"Yes." Pinkie mumbled. "I'll go get the party cannon."
"Good idea. We should call the royal guard to." Twilight suggested.
"I guess so."
"Good, now lets go warn Celestia and round up the guard."
Pinkie sighed.
