Twilight's Flying Lesson

"Ok Twilight, to control your flying, you have to feel the wind... You have to feel the wind coming against, and or with you. Depends which direction the wind blows of course." Rainbow Dash says, part dramatically, and part for fun.

"Ok, so..."

She bashes her wings through the air. She finally leaves the ground, and is sort of flying. She starts flying slowly, but she's swinging quite alot, because she's not used to flying.

"Twilight be careful, you're about to hit a wall!" Rainbow yells.

Twilight looks back at Rainbow Dash, with a very confusing look, and turns her head around, so she's looking forward

again. *Smash!* She hits the wall, luckily not too hard, since she wasn't flying very fast, but hard enough to make her pretty dizzy.

"Twilight, are you alright?" Rainbow asks her, after she goes to her.

"Yes, don't worry, just a tiny headache. I wasn't flying very fast, so the impact isn't too bad." She replies.

They fly back to where they came from, and starts over.

"You always have to focus the direction you're flying. Trust me I know. I flew into a mountain, once." Rainbow says.

"I know, I was there. It was that time, when you were trying to escape Pinkie." Twilight laughs.

"Yes..." Rainbow frowns.

"And it hurt quite alot. Since I was flying pretty fast, if I should say it myself." Rainbow Dash says.

Twilight says quickly "Well, let's get started again, shall we?"

Rainbow Dash tries to fly a bit, so Twilight can study her moves, while she's flying. Rainbow makes barrel rolls, and all other kinds of cool maneuvers. She flies back to the ground again, and tells Twilight to give it a go. She flies into the air, with a bit more control this time.

"Just feel the wind, Twilight!" Rainbow Dash yells.

She musteres all the strength in her body, and tries to fly fast. She flies pretty quick, for a beginner. She makes a barrel roll, it's sort of successful, but she makes a sudden nose-dive torwards the ground, and hits it with her face.

Rainbow Dash flies to her again, and asks her once again. "Are you alright?..."

"Yes I'm fine, just give me a second, kinda dizzy. I was doing fine though, don't you think?" Twilight asks.

"Well, you were flying kinda fast, compared to how long, you've had wings. But Twilight, for Celestia's sake, stop doing tricks, and such, before you learn to fly in the first place." Rainbow says, half laughing, and half serious.

"Ok, I'll try to fly again, normally this time." Twilight says, kind of annoyed.

She flies straight into the air, she's swinging a bit. She straightens up quickly, though. She flies straight, and she tries to do a turn, and it's successful. She flies torwards Rainbow Dash, and smiles, Rainbow smiles back. She swings away from Rainbow Dash, and lands on the ground again.

Twilight asks her "How did I do?"

"Pretty good. You finally learned how to control your movements in the air. Now you just need to learn, how to fly fast, and do tricks." Rainbow Dash says.

Twilight quickly states "Yes! But let's wait till tomorrow, all this crashing has made me, not only hungry, but really tired, too. And it's getting pretty late, so we should probably both get some sleep."

"Yeah, you're probably right." Rainbow Dash says, smiling at Twilight, and Twilight smiling back at her.

Twilight turns around, and is about to fly away, when Rainbow Dash suddenly asks her "Hey, what do you say, we ask the others if they wanna come tomorrow?"

"That'd be great, we'll ask them tomorrow morning, ok?" Twilight asks.

"Sure, let us." Rainbow Dash says.

They both turn away from each other, and flies home. When they arrive home, they go to bed, and sleeps comfortably the whole night.
