Crusade Of Friendship
Wisdom: Awakening

_________________________________________
When I awoke in this world, I wasn't entirely sure what to think. I was just met face to face with a voodoo specialist from Zebrica, and then I was knocked out again. I remember feeling absolutely numb and unable to move a single body part other than my lips and my eyes. Everything else was frozen solid.
But I hadn't changed so much. I was white, with a light blue curly mane and tail. My cutie mark was the same quasar it was. What's unique about my mark is that is doesn't just describe my talent over light. It describes ME. A quasar is the brightest object in the universe discovered, but it is also highly unstable and dangerous.
I guess I can relate to that.
The first actual pony I could call a friend after awaking was named Nujax.
Names. Sometimes I think they do it on purpose, but I'd be hypocritical. My father DID name me Wisdom, and there wasn't too much I could do about that.
Nujax explained to me where he had found me supposedly dead, and how he brought me back to life. Metaphorically speaking.
"I was hangin' with some miners in that little temple you were in, and I found you under a crap load of rubble, so me and a bunch of folks cleared out the rubble, and pulled you out." The stallion said.
I didn't answer, being confined to a wheelchair. My entire body was frozen stiff from my "coma," and I had no means of movement. It made me feel vulnerable. Terribly vulnerable. I felt certain that I would never be able to move again as long as I li-
"Oh, hey! You can move your hoof!" The pony named Nujax said with joy. Wonderful, so I WON'T be paralyzed forever.
...
It took me a total of 6 days to get out of that nasty wheelchair. I never wanted to go back to it, or even see it again. All I needed was just my standing self, and my gunblade. My gunblade is a bit of a family heirloom for most. It's been passed down from generation to generation...but what's funny is that I have no idea where it really came from.
My family was never exactly NORMAL. I was cursed with a long lasting life, along with my brother, my daughter, and my granddaughter.
My brother is pretty much my opposite. Instead of light, he focuses on dark magic. LITERALLY dark magic. He's also a bit of an asshole. I mean, you would call him an asshole too if he burned your house down and murdered your parents.
My daughter is a griffon, believe it or not. No, I didn't go screwing a griffoness. Let's just say a lot of chaos was involved, and it REALLY didn't go as expected.
My grandaughter is also a griffon. I didn't hear too much about who she was, other than she was QUITE the mischievous little devil. But she was the good kind of devil. Probably inherited from her mother's chaotic origins.
I needed to find them, and I needed to find them quickly. I couldn't bear the thought of losing one of them, let alone both of them. I bid Nujax and the miners farewell, and I left to seek my family.
...
My first guess would be to go to Ponyville, where I heard from the miners that there was some commotion going on. Was it large enough to gain the attention of griffons?
There's another thing. My daughter and granddaughter are considered...no, they ARE royal. I think it was because that chaos deity appointed them to the task or something. I'm not entirely sure how it worked out. It didn't mean I disliked it.
When I arrived at the vibrant city I knew that housed the Elements...
I was devastated.
The grass was dead yellow, trees were wilted, buildings were destroyed...What happened here?!
I noticed a small gathering at some statue. I don't remember that statue being there...But one thing's for sure, that statue was pretty big. I haven't seen so much bigger. I approached the statue, and I managed to get a clearer look at what it was.
It was THEM.
Our heroes, portrayed in stone, smiling in statue. I could barely read the R.I.P at the base of the statue. Most of the carvings were blocked by a mother holding her child as they cried together.
I stepped into the crowd, and looked for someone who simply stood without an expression. Don't go looking for the ones that look confused, because they certainly might not know what's going on. Don't go to those who look like they know what's going on, because it's actually likely that they don't. Instead, look for the one that stands out from all of these citizens. I found a mare, muttering about leading the citizens to safety.
She didn't exactly look like the commander in chief, but if she was suggesting this, she just might know something. I approach her.
"Is there a tragedy?" I asked. The mare shook her head. "About a year ago...Right now the Archfiends are starting to take us to slavery in Canterlot."
Archfiends. I've never heard the name, but it gave me a strong pane of fear and anger.
This was going to be one heck of a joyride.
"Let me guess. Evil ponies who have taken over Equestria, or are they street performers?"
"Take a look at the soldiers and make a wild guess."
I did what she told me, and took a look at the Canterlot soldiers that were wearing a dark red armor, and a red eye on their chests. "Look a lot like street performers." I joked...angrily.
Why did I feel so angry? I had nothing to feel angry about, but I felt like pounding every citizen here into the ground...Why?
I turn to the soldiers, and I am met with a particularly new face...well, if his face wasn't concealed by a mask.
A diamond dog stood before me, clad in his buff body and strength. He wore some sort of mask that reminded me of a wolf, and on his chest was a similar eye that the soldiers wore...but this one was seemingly carved into his skin. His paws were inside three pronged metal gloves. He must have been a hell of a brawler, and probably still is.
"Y'know somethin', fucker?" He said in the most irritated gruff voice I've heard. "That's REAL funny."
I only smirked. So this was the guy behind this? Sure, he's got a load of muscle on him, but this...can't be the one who put Ponyville in this condition, unless he had a PRETTY powerful army. "I try my best at comedy." I said in my sarcasm.
"Shut it!" He ordered. "You got five minutes before you join your little friends in slavery to MY bidding, or I'm gonna take your face and smash it right into that statue there!"
I only shrugged, and gave a small nod...Sheesh, he was kind of scary. "What now." I ask myself, looking around the crowd. That's when a wilted apple tree in the distance caught my attention.
"To the farm?" I ask myself again, before sneaking off into the wilderness, and toward the general direction of the farmland.
Author's Note
I'm probably not too proud of this chapter. So many things I could add to it, but I guess I'm a not-so-extensive writer. That's hopefully not a huge issue for you guys. As long as it pleases you.
