Stallions have also Feelings

Two weeks after Big Macintosh helped Fluttershy to find her bunny, his feelings became stronger for her, because after they had found Angel, they had a nice conversation and Big Mac got to know her and he noticed that behind her shyness, there is a very kind mare.

He wanted a date with Fluttershy, not only to have intimate time with her, but watching her wonderful pink mane or look deep in her blue eyes or even talk to her.

The problem is that he didn't know how to ask.

Usually Big Mac wouldn't have problems to ask a mare on a date (actually he never wanted a mare, but love finds his way), but Fluttershy was different. Fluttershy was differently than any other mare he knew, so it was more  difficult to ask her.

Big Mac saw Fluttershy in the town while he was selling apples, and sometimes he followed her to her cottage just to see how kindly she cared about the animals; to see the side which she is actually hiding from other ponies (ok, this is stalking, but a well-meant stalking. You know what I mean, aren't you).

Big Mac couldn't help but love Fluttershy even more than he already did now, every time he had seen her kindness.

But Big Mac was so blinded by his love for Fluttershy that he couldn't see the truth; Fluttershy fell in love with Rainbow Dash. Big Mac didn't notice that Fluttershy was spending a lot of time with Rainbow Dash and every time Fluttershy was next to Rainbow Dash she blushed hevaliy, but Big Mac simply didn't notice it; a problem which is disastrous (for him).

Big Mac took finally his courage and wanted to ask Fluttershy for a date with him.

While Big Mac was working on Sweet Apple Acres, he thought how he could ask Fluttershy. Many pessimistic thoughts came in his mind.

"What if she says no, or if she will think I want something from her , or even if she will hate me for the question?" he instantly thought.

It was already evening as Big Mac finally had finished his work for today, he went in the barn and made a mannequin of Fluttershy out of the hay.

Big Mac was suprised that the mannequin really looks like Fluttershy, he was a little bit proud of his work.

Than he asked Fluttershy-mannequin for a date. Maybe 14 times; but then he was sure he can make it.

So Big Mac ran into the Everfree Forest to vist Fluttershy in her cottage. As he came to the door, he took a deep breath and knocked three times.

Big Mac had waited some seconds and knocked again.

No reply.

"Well, maybe she not at home. I will try it again tomorrow," he thought a little disappointed, because this stopped his euphoria.

Big Mac went home while he had seen some dark clouds were forming in the air. "It seems there will be rain tonight, I better go a little bit faster," he thought, still disappointed.

As Big Mac finally had come back to his home, he opend the door and saw Applejack. "Hey big brother, where have ya been, it's already 9 o'clock."

"Ah was still workin', Ah can't sleep well when somethin' is unfinished," he said in his usual voice.

"Alright, but Ah still need ya big brother, so don't make too much work which ya can't handle," she said satisfied but a little worried about him.

"Eeyup" he said (obvious).

"I should go sleep now. Every second I'm spending with thinking on Fluttershy make me just more nervous," -he thought- "maybe I...".

His thoughts were interrupted by somepony who charged the door. It was Fluttershy; she seemed to be very happy.

"Applejack! Applejack! I did it!" she screamed as loud as possible for her.

"Hold on now, sugarcube. What do ya mean?" Applejack asked while Big Mac just stood there like a rock, and blushed.

"I confessed my true feelings for Rainbow Dash. At the beginning she was very confused and cautious, but then we talked about our feelings to each other, I saw her serious side, I didn't even know she has one. Than I asked her to be um... my... marefriend, and she said yes, it was magic. And now I'm not afraid of so many things; for example to say you that Rainbow Dash is my marefriend, because I know she will be there for me and there is nothing to be afraid of."

"That's great sugarcube. Ah know ya would find your true love," Applejack said proudly.

"But that's not all. Just minutes ago I um... I... I had... my first... kiss, I had my first kiss with Rainbow Dash," Fluttershy said relieved.

Big Mac couldn't believe what he just heard. It was like his hole world collapsed in just one second. He didn't know how to feel, sad, angry, confused, maybe happy for her, because she found her true love. It was too much for him and he decided to do nothing.

Applejack and Fluttershy continued their talk for some minutes until Fluttershy left Sweet Apple Acres and Big Mac stood there without doing a movment, he still couldn't believe what just happend. Applejack turned around.

"Isn't it great? Fluttershy found her love."

"Eeyup," he said still shocked.

"Maybe ya will find your true love one day too," she continued.

"Eeyup," he said disappointed whereupon he looked on the floor.

"Ah... must sleep now," he had said and then he went to bed.

Big Mac turned around and ran in his room so that Applejack couldn't see the tears which were forming in his eyes.

Applejack couldn't help but wondering why he behaves so strange.

Big Mac laid in his bed, tears were still forming in his eyes.

"Why," -he asked- "why Rainbow Dash, and why then when I wanted to ask her for a date? That's not fair. That's not fair! But maybe it's better so. When Fluttershy is happy with Rainbow Dash, then I'm also happy. And actually that is what I wanted for Fluttershy: happiness with somepony, and when I'm not her special somepony, maybe Rainbow Dash will do it even better than me," he thought to calm down.

And with these final thoughts he fell asleep.
