Plowing the fields

Previous Chapter

I woke up with a banging at my door, causing me to fall out of bed. I shook my head as I got up and answered the door. Applejack was standing there.

"Time ta Wake up." She said to me.

"Alright, but first I'm going to have a shower. Do you have any spare towels?" I asked her.

"Wait here." She said as she walked down the stairs. I just leaned on my door frame. I started to think about last night. How I Swear something was looking at me right before I fell asleep. What was it? Better question, Who was it? And why where they staring at me?Then again i am from an entirely different world. Where they a spy for Celestia? Where they scientists trying to find out what he was?

I couldn't think further as a towel was thrown at my head. I pulled it off to see Applejack there.

"Hurry up. Ya got a lot of work ahead for ya." She said as she walked downstairs. I then walked into the bathroom, with my bag, and locked the door. I had my shower before walking out and drying myself off. I was able get myself dressed before pulling out a smaller bag from my bag and zipped it open. I pulled out some toothpaste, my toothbrush, some deodorant and some hair gel.

Now your wondering why I somehow got these things out of my bag. Well I always carrying some supplies in my bag incase I have to stay at a friends place or something else happens. Although I might be running low, I'll ask Granny Smith if she, or Big Mac, or Applebloom, and possibly Applejack. Could get me some more. Anyway, once I was done, I put everything away, hung the towel up and headed downstairs.

As I arrived at the first floor. I saw Granny Smith sitting down in a rocking chair. She noticed me and smiled.

"Good morning Jack." She said to me.

"Morning Granny Smith." I said.

"Once ya make yerself some breakfast. Grab the plow from the barn. Big Mac and Applebloom are in charge of the Apple stand in the markets, and Applejack is Applebucking again. Se we need ya to plow some fields for tha new Apple tree's." she said to me. I nodded as I made my way to the kitchen. So I gotta plow some fields, how hard could it be?...and I just jinxed myself. Great.

Anyway, I had my breakfast and headed towards the barn where I found the plow. I started to drag it, but then I released something, I had no idea where I was supposed to plow. I stopped dragging it, walked back inside and up to Granny Smith who just closed her eyes as I got there.

"Um, Hey. Where am I supposed to go?" I asked, she squinted her eyes and looked at me.

"East Field, 'bout ten coloums." She said.

"Thank you, sorry for waking you up." I said.

"No harm done sonny. Now get back ta work!" She said as she closed her eyes and snored. I smiled, picked the plow up, and headed East. Which I think took me about forty-five minutes, because let me tell you. Not only is the field Granny Smith wants me to do is about half an hour away. But the plow is bloody heavy! I don't know how These ponies does it. Then again, they've done this longer then me.

Alright, anyway. I made it to the field, where there where about ten columns of  dirt, just waiting to be plowed. To it's left is a fully plowed field, which I assume is field with apple seeds. Further left is some little sprouts. I carefully placed the plow into the first column, placed my bag onto the ground, and got ready to pull. As I started, I noticed something right away. This was going to be very long, I could barely move it a metre without draining every ounce of energy from me. But non the less, I pushed on.

But despite me being able to at least move the plow, the sun, or possibly someone else. Again, no idea of this world's full rules. Had decided to turn the temperature up to boiling hot. Because by the time I had finished the first column, which was probably half a kilometre far. My fore head was covered in sweat, I felt some beads fall down my face. I sighed and stretched my back.

"This...this will take a while." I said to myself. I picked the plow up and placed it in the next column. As I made it back, I noticed my bag was gone. I finished the column before letting go and walking to some bushes that where rustling. Probably where my bag is and the per-pony that took it.

I walked over to the bush to see nobody there. I searched the area for a while until I heard a twig snap. I looked behind me to see my bag back on the ground, I looked around curious as to who had taken and given it back.

I ran Down to my bag to see if anything was stolen, but surprisingly, everything seemed to be still in there. I looked around on least time to see if anybody- or pony was around. Nothing, except the winds breeze, nothing fills the air with sound. I shrugged, decided to get a bottle of water back at the farmhouse to help my thirst.

As I walked in, I walked upstairs and placed my bag and shirt into my room. Grabbed the towel I uses this morning, walked downstairs and found a bottle of water, along with several others in the fridge. I don't think they'll mind one missing. I grabbed it and headed back out to the field.

By sundown, I had finally finished prowling the fields. I let the plow go as I grabbed my bottle and my towel and sat down under a tree's shade. I wiped the sweat from my face with the towel, I then took a huge gulp from my bottle, finishing the rest of the water in it. I put my towel over my shoulder as I walked over and picked up the plow and headed back.

By the time I had put the plow away and dried myself off. It was night fall, the cool breeze coming into play. I smiled as I walked over to the house and walked inside. I headed some noise some from upstairs and in the kitchen. I walked upstairs and went into my room. I put my bag on the floor.

I walked downstairs and into the kitchen to see Granny Smith in there, she noticed me and gave me a smile.

"Howdy Jack. Ya finish the fields?" She asked.

"Yep, there done. Hey Granny Smith. Are you the only one who cooks the meals around here. Not to offend anyone but I'm just curious." I asked.

"Nah, it's alright sonny. We take turns in making dinner. Ah just cooked two nights in a row since Applejack was away when it was her turn. Ah can't work on tha farm aswell thanks ta mah hip." She said rubbing it.

"Sorry for that." I said.

"Not to worry. Now, how about ya help me with the meal tonight."

"Sure." I said as I started to help her. A few minutes passed before I went to wash my hands because of some spillage when I saw Big Mac, Applebloom and Applejack at the door. I hid and eavesdropped on there conversation.

"Now be back by midnight okay?" Big Mac said.

"Don't worry Big Mac. Me and tha girls are just going out for a few drinks." She replied.

"Bye sis!" Applebloom said as she waved Applejack off who walked out of the door. I then revealed myself.

"Sorry for eavesdropping. I was just a bit to curious." I said.

"It's okay, right Big Mac?" Applebloom asked her older brother.

"Eeyup." He said.

After that, i went back to my main task of washing my hands and finishing dinner. Later, I was back in bed, with the feeling of being watched again entered me. I then slowly closed my eyes.

I awoke to some sort of crashing sound. I woke up and saw a stumbling Applejack and a slightly damaged fence. I quietly walked outside and ran up to Applejack, who had finally notice me.

"H-howdy there Jack! Hic!" She said in a slurred tone.

"Applejack. Are you drunk?" I asked.

"Maybe, maybe not? But why is everything blurry?" She asked as she stumbled more. I sighed and picked her up.

"Come on, lets get you to bed."

"Ya cute." We said, causing me to blush.

"And your drunk." I said as I entered the house and into Applejack's room. I placed the hiccuping Applejack on the bed, well I tried. She wouldn't let go.

"Come on Applejack, time for bed."

"But ah'm not tired!" She said, right before falling asleep in my arms. I placed her on the bed and tried to get her off me. But she was holding me tightly against her, like a giant teddy bear or something. I was able to get her off of me after a while with some hard effort, I was about to walk out when I heard her whimpering. I looked to see her with a worried expression on her sleeping face and trying to grab something with her forehooves. I sighed. I hate myself.

I closed the door and got into the bed. The second Applejack's hoof touched me, she pulled me into a death grip, but I managed to survive. I looked up at the ceiling before closing my eyes, the watching feeling happening to me again.
