Chapters The moon was shining through the horizon. The sound of wings flapping could be heard in a distance. A pair of pegasi were flying in the night sky. There was a little one, with a blue coat and striped white and blueish mane. The bigger one( who is obviously older ) also has a blue coat but orange mane.
"Brother, we've been flying for days," the young colt complained. His wings has been sore from constant flying.
"I know Blaze, but we're almost there," the bigger pony replied."In fact, here we are now."
Ahead of them lies Ponyville, not too big nor small. The cobblestone streets seemed empty and the lights of houses don't shone. Indicating everypony is asleep.
The brotherly duo landed on the cobblestone road. Then trotted along the path to find an local inn.
As they look for an inn. The vast cobblestone road is empty as always. Eventually, they found an inn, 'The Pony Inn'. Ironic name if you ask me.
They galloped vigorously to the entrance. Tired from days of flying with no rest. They finally manage to go to this inn.
They approach the door, "Come on Tanken, open the door!" Blaze groaned.
Tanken opened the door. Seeing a lobby with luxurious chairs scattered in the middle and a desk with a brown mare who was busy filing her hoof. Tanken approached the desk.
"Can I help you?" she asked.
"Um.....yes. Room for two please," Tanken answered, handing over twenty bits.
The mare then handed a key to Tanken. " Second floor, first door on the left," she said. "By the way. Names Scratch Pad, what's yours?"
"Tanken," he replied.
"Sounds like an very unusual name," Scratch Pad said. Giving Tanken a weird look, which made him uncomfortable.
"Can we go to sleep now!!!" Blaze whined.
Tanken stifled a chuckle, " Fine."
Tanken and Blaze trotted up the stairs. Tanken opened the door, revealing a red bunk bed with a window that includes snow white curtains.
Tanken yawned, "Well Blaze, let's hit the hay."
Both of the brothers went to the mattress. Blaze took top bunk while Tanken took bottom.
"Good night big bro," Blaze said.
Tanken replied."Good night too Blaze."They then went to their slumber.
IN TANKEN'S DREAM
"GET DOWN!"
"What?"
"Get down! We're being attacked!"
Tanken was in the middle of Montimare Bay. Startled by a sudden attack by Germaneigh. Air raid alarms could be heard.
As he stared at shock at a large airship. It was dull grey all over, save for a few spots. Cannons placed in every side. It was bombarding the once beautiful city.
Blaze was beside Tanken doing a synchronized expression. Both standing with dilated eyes. A grey stallion that was also beside them went to the brothers, then slapped them to their senses.
"I said get down now!!!"
Both brothers gotten down as ordered. Just in time when a cannon ball landed a dozen feet away. As it landed, large shrapnel pieces went to random places. The brothers weren't hurt, but the unlucky grey pony has a shrapnel in between his eyes.
Both Tanken and Blaze got up to their hooves. Their fur was filthy due to the attack. Blood was dripping from the minor wounds from earlier.
Airships continued the Bombardment. Marching was heard from a distance. Followed by screams and a occasional boom. Germans are getting close.
The duo stopped."Blaze, keep running. I'll hold them off," Tanken said. Blaze then ran, tears form in his eyes knowing his brother might not survive holding off Germans. Tanken stood in a fighting stance. A trooper ran to him when he notice the blue pegasus but was soon disarmed as Tanken preformed a roundhouse to the head, knocking the trooper unconscious. He went back to a stance and picked up a dagger.More soldiers showed up, surrounding him. Tanken wasn't intimidated, instead he just laughed maniacally,"Come and get me motherbuckers!!!"
END OF DREAM
Tanken slowly opened his eyes. The afternoon sun beamed at his upper torso. He and Blaze have to look around town. Although, Blaze is still asleep. Tanken lazily got up and then shuffled to Blaze, and nudge him softly."Hey Blaze, wake up," he said. But Blaze replied with a grunt.
Tanken was now annoyed by Blaze's response.Sure, he was sleepy from traveling but he only paid for one night for this room. Tanken continued to nudge Blaze. After a few minutes he shouted,"Blaze, get your flank off the bed now!!!"
Blaze then jumped up and hit his head on the ceiling.Blaze then glared at Tanken, but he just smile,"Blaze, pack your bags. We're going to look around this town."
They then packed their bags and head out. Going down the stairs and trotted out of the lobby. The mare by the name'Scratch Pad' wave a hoof goodbye at them.
Now outside, Tanken and Blaze walked side by side. Seeing the road now full of ponies."Well big bro," Blaze enthusiastically said." Let's look around and meet new ponies."
They trotted through the path. Looking around and seeing many unusual buildings that would be considered weird. Like that building made of sweets and a huge tree carved out into a house with a sign saying "Library". They continued the walk through the whole town. A pink blur zoom to them then stop. The blur was a pink earth pony mare with poofy hair that has a darker hue of pink,"HiI'mPinkiePiewhat'syourname." Tanken was confused, It took him a few seconds to find out what she was saying. He was about to answer but was interrupted by the pink mare,"Youmustbenewintown.ooooohhhhh.Ishouldthrowyouawelcometoponyvilleparty!"
The mare then zoomed off. Tanken and Blaze confused of what just happen."Tanken what happen?" Blaze questioned.
"I don't know," Tanken answered.
Tours and a House (rewritten)
It's been good so far. Ponyville was unlike any town Tanken and Blaze were raised. Back home, smoke would pollute the air followed by the occasional airship flying around. It is different after all. Tanken was amazed at how this place looked so clean. No sign of machines except for a train near by. It makes him feel quite serene.
Tanken looked at his brother. Blaze was just dragging his hooves with his head kept low. His eyes still look tired but the slightly cold air kept Blaze awake. But that's not the case.
"Something bothering you," Tanken asked.
"Nah I'm good," Blaze answered. Looking away from Tanken.
"Blaze, I know somethings wrong. What's bothering you," Tanken said as he neared Blaze.
"It just that........ I kind of miss home. Even if it turn to a tartarus hole, I still miss our old house......our friends........mom." Blaze answered. He then hung his head low again.
Tanken felt a little regret. But he just went closer to Blaze,"That's what we're here for. To get a new home and friends. To start over our lives and forget the pass."
"Tanken, I just can't. What about mom and Azu-" Blaze was interrupted as a random pony with a pile of books collided to Blaze. Causing Blaze to be under the pile of heavy books. "Hey! Watch it!" Blaze shouted as he poked his head out of the pile. He then looked the pony, but it isn't a pony at all. Instead is a small dragon.
"Sorry. It just that I have to get these books to the library," it spoke. Blaze just kept silent. He remembered dragons as beast and savages. This dragon is like the complete opposite of it's brethren.
"I'm guessing your not from here aren't you," it spoke again as the dragon gathered it's books. Blaze was still quiet.
Tanken finally spoke," I'm sorry. My little brother had never saw a drake like you before." The dragon just shrugged and left. Still heaving that giant pile of books.
Blaze snapped out of his trance. He tried to piece it together of how a dragon got here in the first place and how is it not scaring anypony. Tanken simply trotted away and signaled Blaze to come. Blaze followed."Wait for me!" he yelped.
2 Hours Later
They looked through the whole town. Tanken and Blaze decided this place is good enough to settle in. All they need is to get a house.
"Big bro, how are we going to get a house?" Blaze asked.
"Well, remember that ancient blade I found?" Tanken said as Blaze nodded."That old thing could cost a few thousand bits."
Tanken then took out a small dagger. It was dusty but had a sleek design. The handle was encased on gold and the blade itself is made of a dragon's tooth. The sheath was made of silver with a golden linen. It was told to be one of the tribal relics of the ancient pegasi. If only the dust was removed then the dagger would show its true beauty. Tanken put the blade back to his saddlebag.
They headed to an antiques shop. The sign read 'The Copperos Coinpurse' on the store. Not bad for a name for an old shop. It's very original indeed. Tanken went inside but Blaze has to wait since foals are not allowed.
Blaze waited outside the shop. He wondered his eyes on many things. On his left was an apple vendor. A blonde mare stood behind it yelling something about buying apples. To his right was more vendors.
But Blaze became bored. To pass the time, he took out a small journal and a quill. He began to write.
Entry Log 417
We arrive at a small town. Looks quiet compared to Montimare Bay. Locals call this town 'Ponyville'. There's no pollution and airships anywhere in sight. It's been more than a year since the invasion. I still have nightmares of those German soldiers. Brother seem to have it too. I hope Azura is okay. She's so sweet. It's been long since she and I-. Nevermind.
Back to my brother. He wants to live here to start over our lives and live it to the fullest. Wish mom is with us.

Blaze then put away his journal. He has no idea why he kept his secrets and entries on such a journel.
Tanken finally left the shop with a bag of bits in his pack. The sound of money could be heard."How much did it cost," Blaze asked.
"About three-thousand bits," Tanken replied in a monotone."Now to get a house."
"Where could we find a place to get a house?" Blaze asked.
"Town hall of course."
One Trip To City Hall Later
Tanken and Blaze trotted along the road. Heading to a house they recently purchase. The walk was uneventful but nopony was nowhere in sight. Save for a few. But seems like if it were already a ghost town.
Blaze look around. Eyes wondering to find any interesting. That orange mare was still in that apple vendor, he decides to ask her a question.
"Excuse me miss."
The mare turn to him. She looks different now up close. As I said, she is orange but within a close distance. She has some freckles here and there. Her eyes were green. It somehow attracted Blaze, reminding him of.....something.
"Yes?" he heard her ask.
Blaze went back out of his thoughts."Uuuuuummmm.....can you tell me where is everypony?"
The mare looks around, scanning the landscape around her.
"Looks like all the ponyfolk mighta went somewhere. Somethang about a party." It was all the mare said.
"Thanks for the info miss....."
"Applejack."
"Thanks again."
Blaze galloped off. His brother waiting on a bench,"Blaze, you finished?"
Blaze nods and Tanken sat up. Both trotted to their destination.
Their 'house' came to view. It doesn't look bad. It has a tiled roof and walls made of oak wood. It stood out from other buildings due to the others having hay bale roofs and stone like walls.
As they near the door, Something doesn't feel right."Blaze something in there," Tanken said. He handed Blaze a semi automatic handgun."Hold this and cover my back. By the count of three, we barge in there."Tanken took out a Trotson M1A11.
"One....." Blaze readied his weapon "Two......" Tanken stood on his hind legs "Three!"
They burst into the door. Weapons high and aiming at anything that seems to be a threat."Freeze! Don't move!" Tanken shouted.
Nothing.
It must have been Tanken's gut feeling going wrong. He looks around to see anything suspicious. Nothing still there but yet again. Something is telling Tanken to still be skeptical.
He sheath his firearm and Blaze followed. Going exploring in the house. For whatever reason it is already furnished. The last ponies to live here must have been in an hurry.
Tanken passed a door but stop. He can't stand to wonder.......if he could just open.
"SURPRISE!!! "
Tanken jump back startled. For it was not the best time to jump back and fall down some stairs that seem to be waitng for another fallen victim. All was heard was some nasty crunches and lots of swearing. He reached the bottom, all bruised up. He could see Blaze galloping across the room after him. He tried to say something but could only let out a few.
"This.......bucking........hurts."
Then there came darkness.

BEEP
Tanken was annoyed. He opened his eyes seeing that he is in an hospital. With a monitor by his side. Tanken really hated hospitals. He remembered that time he got shot in the shoulder and had to stay at the medical tent for days. Blood was seen on the floor and the constant moaning of the injured. At least there seems to be no blood in sight and nopony is around. And this not definitely a tent.
"It seems that you only suffered a mild concussion," Tanken heard. He look around and find a stallion writing down something on his clipboard. He has a white coat over himself so Tanken could only tell that the doctor has a brown coat and darker brown mane. His cutie mark is concealed by the coat.
"So, what up doc," Tanken said. Sitting up straight up.
"Like I said before. You only have a mild concussion," the doctor replied. "So your free to go at any time."
"Thanks doc." Tanken left his bed, heading for the door.
He went through the hallway. It was empty like a ghost town, but Tanken doesn't mind. He saw Blaze talking to another pony. Much his age.
"Hey little guy," Tanken said. "And who is your friend?"
Blaze looked at Tanken. Seeing no injury. "Um....this is Rumble. Rumble this is my big brother, Tanken." He motioned a hoof to each of both of them.
"How long were you waiting here?"
"Six hours."
Tanken was glad that it wasn't days. That would've been bad.
"Let's go home. I had enough of this," Tanken said trotting away towards the exit.
"See you later," Blaze said to Rumble.
"Later," he replied.
Both Blaze and Tanken had reached the house. Tanken opened the door and yet.
"SURPRISE!!!"
Tanken was not starteled again. He was expecting this to happen. He saw that pink mare from earlier, Pinkie is her name was it. Her mane was straight down this time. "Your not surprised," was all he heard her say. Tanken now felt a little guilt. He doesn't know what to say but Blaze came to the rescue.
"He is surprised. He is so surprised that he can't show it," Blaze said. Pinkie's mane went poofy again. She also have a very......very wide grin.
Tanken was now full of relief. He notices somepony calling his name.
"Tanken!"
He heard the pony again. He look around to find the source of the voice but was tackled to the ground. He looked up, a little fazed but he could see. What he saw really surprised him.
"Octavia?"
"Tanken, why are you here? Did something happened?" Octavia asked. She was wondering why Tanken is here.
"Can you let go of me now? Your attracting attention," Tanken said. Trying to get out of her embrace.
Octavia then let go, dusting of her shoulder. "Sorry, that was very unlady-like of me. It just that I haven't seen you in ages"
"Always the uptown girl," Tanken teased.
She then blushed, "Why are you always the flatterer."
Tanken and Octavia didn't realized that everypony was staring in silence. Even Pinkie.
"This is getting awkward," Tanken softly said. He decide to switch the mood.
"Um...............PARTAY!!!"
That had made everypony resume partying. Hopefully they have forgotten. But a mare came up to them. She has white fur with a rough hair style that have multiple hues of blue.
"Hey Tavi, I didn't know you have a coltfriend," she said. Tanken and Octavia were drinking punch and choked on the drink when they heard the mare's comment.
"What no, he/she's not my coltfriend/marefriend," they said at the same time.
"I was just kidding. By the way, the names DJ-PON3 but you could call me Vinyl," she said again. Tanken then shook Vinyl's hoof.
"Nice to meet you. My names Tanken."
"Hey what about me!" they all heard. Turning to the source of the sound, it was Blaze.
"I almost forgot. Octavia, this is my little brother, Blaze," Tanken introduced the two.
"Are you sure your not Tanken's marefriend?" Blaze questioned.
"BLAZE!!!"
The party was over and everypony went home. With the exception of Tanken, Blaze, Octavia and Vinyl.
"So why are you here in Equestria Tanken?" Octavia asked.
"Something happened back home," Tanken said.
"What happened back there."
Tanken was hesitant but spoke, "Germans attacked the city, nothing left but rubble."
Octavia went up to Tanken, "Did anything happened to my uncle?!"
"Don't worry, he's safe with the underground resistance."
"Resistance?" Vinyl asked.
"Yeah, it's all out war. I came here to keep safe of what's left of my family. Which was only Blaze," Tanken replied. "He has some illness and I need to find a therapist."
"Don't mention it," Blaze said.
"Well I'll see you tomorrow everypony. Bye."
Octavia and Vinyl left. Now it's just the two brothers. "Blaze, go to sleep. I'll find something to read. Blaze went to bed as instructed. Tanken took out a book. Reading it peacefully. 'It has been a long day,' he thought to himself.
Blaze was in the bed. Writng in his journel again.

I was waiting for Tanken to wake up. I was In a waiting room. Met a friend and went to a party.I found out that Tanken know a mare name Octavia. I never knew that. I should find out what's happening.
