It's Hearth's Warming Eve, a day when everyone spends time with their families and friends to drink, exchange presents, sing songs, and generally celebrate the unifying of the three main tribes of Equestria. Everyone except Octavia, who avoids social interaction and intimate relationships because she has a secret that she fears will cause her to be rejected. During the night when she's drinking her sorrows away, she gets a visit from her only true best friend.

Written for the Futaquestria Write-Off '13. Theme was "acceptance" and could only use a background character as the protagonist.
