Chapter 1 “Desires to be quenched”
The salty refreshing breeze was one of the main reasons, if not the main reason, that both Twilight and Spike could fully enjoy the heat of the beach and be able to relax on their well-deserved vacation.
And relaxing is what the two very well known figures sought upon their arrival at Sun Glory beach hotel. Chapter 2 Fear and Love

“Mine, mine, mine, mine” He repeated over and over again, never stopping his assault. “Mine, my Twilight, My Princess, MY MATE!” Spike clenched her ass a bit harder. “Say it!”
“I---Oh FUCK!” She shouted.
“Say it!” He growled.
“So d-deep!” She moaned.
“Say it!” He ordered.
“Rut me, Spike!” She begged.
“Say it !” He roared.
“Ca----“ Whatever she was going to say died in her throat as Spike moved his arms from her ass to wrap them around her back avoiding her painfully stiff wings, with a pull he made her fall down on him, her head landing in the nape of his neck, her soft breasts against his boiling hot chest along with her arms pressed down to his sides.
“Say it.” He whispered sensually against her ear.
“Yes, I am yours, Spike!” She screamed, grinding her hips against him as best as she could as his thrusting returned in full force. “I’m yours! I’m your toy to do with as you please! Only yours! Always yours!”
“Good girl” Spike smiled, still holding her tightly.
As if possessed, Spike’s pounding became harder and faster than ever, the bed below them threatening to fail them if they carried on like that, it didn’t matter, they were together, they were having sex and they were enjoying it, really enjoying it.
For a couple of minutes this went on until both of them screamed in coital pleasure, her juices splashing all over his lower half while his seed was invading her womb for the third time that night, Spike spitting fire from his mouth as he did so. Once their orgasms subdued they both stood motionless, their only movement being their harsh and forced breathing.
A good five minutes later Spike moved enough to let Twilight fall to her right side, her body still twitching now and again, Spike reached at Twilight before hugging her from behind and kissing her exposed neck sweetly.

Spike chuckled lightly.

“Yeah?”
Twilight yawned, “What are we now?........I mean, after this?”
“Didn’t I say so?” Spike asked, hugging her closer to him. “You are now my mate, you are mine, only mine………as I am yours.” Spike kissed her cheek, “If you want me, that is.”
“Always *yawn* the gentledrake.” Twilight let out a light laugh. “Your mate, huh? Sounds nice.”
Spike snuggled at her for a bit, her now closed wings were soft against his stomach, giving him a very nice tickly feeling, he couldn’t blame her for her lack of enthusiasm, she was exhausted and so was he.
Twilight noticed the lights were still on, with the faintest flick of her magic the lights turned out, allowing both lovers a very well deserved sleep.
“Nothing can go wrong now ” she smiled to herself as that last thought crossed her mind.

Desires Chapter 4 Lessons
Spike awoke from his peaceful slumber, almost groggily, as the thin strings of solar light entered his room and ran across his face. Rubbing his eyes he yawned feeling relaxation coursing all over his body, he closed his eyes again trying to think of anything important for this new day. It wasn’t long before the reminder that this was their last morning at the hotel hit him, moving his head to both sides in search of the clock, one he found it he read it was barely past eight o’clock. Trying to stretch his arms and torso he soon found resistance, looking down a smile adorned his face the moment he saw the resting lavender alicorn on his chest, breathing peacefully as a small smile ran across her lips. Spike slid his right arm under the covers of his bed, slowly placing it over the mare who only hummed in response.
‘What a crazy week ,’ He thought, ‘when was the last time I felt so good with myself and all those around me? ’ He asked himself chuckling slightly, a few seconds of hearing nothing but her soft breathing Spike frowned a little. ‘Strange, I really enjoyed all we did together during our vacation…..but just having her around me makes me so incredibly happy ,’ His hold over the mare strengthen a bit, softly caressing her side with his claws. ‘I mean, I know what she did was wrong but I can’t bring myself to hate her for it, Tartarus, I can’t even be mad at her, not in the slightest. ’ He heard a soft sigh followed by a murmur that sounded very much like his name. ‘Then again ,’ he smile, ‘How can I be mad at her when she is so beautiful ?’
For a couple of minutes he remained motionless, content just to be holding his new marefriend close to him, Twilight began to move around until she woke up, with a yawn and a little stir she finally opened her eyes.
“Glad you are awake, sleepy head.” Spike said snuggling his head into Twilight’s hair, as she giggled tiredly against his chest. “It’s almost eight thirty, we leave in two hours.”
“I don’t wanna.” She said burying herself deeper into her drakefriend.
“Believe me, I don’t want to either, I would rather spend my time with you like this but we, and by we I mean mostly you, have many duties to attend to, my princess.” He said kissing her just above her horn, softly caressing her as he moved down the covers.
“No, don’t Spike, my breath stinks.” she said trying to push away his attempts of kissing her.
“Don’t care, yours will be as bad as mine.” Spike used one of his hands to hold onto her back giving him free access to her mouth.
“Says the dra---mmmpphhh.” She was cut off as a pair of lips sealed her own in a sweet lock.
After a couple of seconds the kiss ended, both looking at the other lovingly, they shared a small smile and decided to get off their bed, take a shower and get everything ready for their departure.

“It was a pleasure serving you and your companion during this week, Princess Twilight, we hope everything was to your pleasure and we wish you a happy trip back home.” A mare, wearing the typical maid uniform of the hotel, said bowing before the couple, earning a big gem as her tip in the process.
“Thank you very much, we did find our stay very pleasurable .” Twilight told the mare before pulling out her miniature carriage out of one of her pockets, the maid mare missing the slight remark over the last word. “Ready Spike?”
“Just a second,” The drake answered, a small blush glowing on his face as he finished clearing enough area for the carriage to regain its normal size. “Ready.”
Twilight touched the miniature carriage adding a bit of her magic and then threw it to Spike. Catching it effortlessly he placed it on the ground and quickly stepped back. With just a little shake and a flash of light the carriage returned to its normal size once more, followed by ‘ohhhs’ and ‘ahhhs’ of the passerby’s. Spike moved to it, opening the door and placed all their luggage inside it.
Twilight turned around and waved her good-byes to the staff before entering the carriage, Spike waved too as he stepped inside closing the door behind him. No sooner had the door closed before a pair of purple downy wings appeared on either side of the carriage. Slowly they began to flap, each passing second increasing their speed as the carriage took off the ground, just a couple of seconds of simply hovering over the ground the carriage shot out to the skies, leaving a small dust cloud on the ground.
“Well, that’s that.” Spike said sitting next to Twilight, “Enjoyed our vacation?”
“You know I did, Spike.” She said looking at the view outside her port view. “Spike……..I know you must be tired of this but I’m really so--”
“Twilight, stop it.” Spike said with a tired voice and a soft sigh, sliding a claw over her shoulder. “So what if you were doing it for almost a year, you are sorry, I forgave you, WE are together now, let it rest in the past Twi.” He moved forward placing his chin over her free shoulder, pressing his cheek against hers.
Twilight pressed against his embrace, grasping his comforting hand on her shoulder while her other hand caressed his free cheek tenderly. “Still, I feel awful about it… For doing something so wrong to you, something against your will, just because I was afraid and stupid.” Twilight lamented, squeezing the drake’s hand.
“Can’t argue against that.” Spike said, receiving a smack against his cheek. “I’m joking, I’m joking!” He chuckled, leaning in to kiss her cheek softly. Contently he sighed, “Well, not really, anyone can do some pretty stupid things when they don’t know what to do, Rainbow, Pinkie, Fluttershy, Derpy, Shining, even the princesses, no one is excluded from it.” He whispered, his teeth dragging against the nape of her neck.
“Maybe you’re right.” Twilight gasped turning her head slightly to the side, capturing her dragon’s lips for a small kiss “What about you?” She asked as Spike continued nibbling on his lover’s neck.
“Spikezilla, my quest to know what being a ‘dragon’ really means, not siding with you during the wedding of Cadence and Shining.” He spoke each example he present earned Twilight another snip in the neck, causing the mare to writhe in pleasure. “Beating Blueblood half to death for insulting you and the girls, be live bait for a pack of manticores, need anything more?” He said, before sucking against her pelt.
Twilight groaned as his sharp teeth bit into her flesh. Her hands caressing his head keeping him from moving away and silently begging him for more. “Well, you never tried anything sexual against anypony or anyone,” Twilight was enjoying this, Celestia was she enjoying this, but… she needed to know. “Not even against Rarity.” To her it sounded more like a question than a statement, if Spike noticed her didn’t show it. He just continued to lick and nip on her sensitive neck.
“I did, I let you continue what you were doing for some time, maybe even more than I should have, because, well, it really felt good." He gave out a light chuckle. "I took advantage of you almost as much as you took advantage of me, if it makes you feel better, we raped each other in different ways, kind of.” Spike said. Breaking from his extended play with a smile gracing his face as he heard the disappointed whine from Twilight as her hands presented resistance to his movements. Still he wasn’t one to deny this beauty before him. His draped arm began slowly sliding down Twilights voluptuous form, making sure she felt every drag of his scales against her, until he came to her waist before forcefully pulling her closer to him. “So,” he continued, “Stop feeling guilty about it and let’s just enjoy ourselves for the time being, once we get back home we can worry about the next step.” He said as his hand traveled further south and gripped her firm and spongy flesh.
Twilight gave out a little moan and Spike took the opportunity to kiss her, deeply, passionately, in a way that sent a chills down the mare’s spine, but more importantly one that made her stupid as it dragged on. Spike, giving her a moment to catch her breath, was met with his lover’s question. “S-speaking of that, what are we g-going to tell our friends?” She stuttered, Spike tending to her behind was distracting in its own way.
“The truth.” He kissed her again. Twilight, so surprised, so shocked, was tossed into pleasure by Spike’s statement. The plainness, the pure sincerity behind those two simple words washed over Twilight as Spike broke the kiss once again. “Truthfully I’m actually more concerned about what princess Celestia might say.”
“W-why do you keep c-calling her like that? AHhhOh, that feels nice.” She moaned as Spike’s thumb started pressing against her plot hole.
Spike shrugged “Habit I guess,” He kissed her under her chin making her giggle a bit. “Oh ticklish huh?”
Twilight grunted a bit excited as she felt his fangs pressing against her throat tenderly. “I-I-I still d-don’t get, mmmmmmm, why go on with t-t-that charade for so lONgh!” Her arms found their way behind his head and caressed his spines and neck scales, pushing his head against her neck harder. “Why not end it wh-when I ascended?”
“Because,” Spike pulled his head from her neck, placing his forehead against hers. “I didn't, and still don’t, want to be apart from you or the girls, besides.” He said smiling, “I think I was far too young back then.” His thumb pressed a little harder literally stealing her breath away.
“If you say so,” Twilight panted as she smiled back, wondering when and how did they changed position with her now sitting on his lap “but why are you worried about what your ‘mom’ might say.”
“Well, believe it or not, mother is, wow that sounds a bit strange.” They both shared a short laugh. “Mother is very protective of me in the relationship department.”
Twilight tilted her head to the side, confused, and reasonably so. “What do you mean by that?” Twilight asked, only able imagine Celestia as a benevolent, levelheaded ruler.
“You don’t know this, but Celes-- I mean, mother is very picky, you know that very few ponies know about my real status and relationship with princess Celestia, right?” Twilight nodded. “Well, some of those who do know have tried to engage me with their daughters or any close relative of theirs ever since you ascended.” Spike’s expression turned grim, “Luna told me about the horrible nightmares and, in some cases, memories my mother caused on them after she was done with them.”
“That doesn’t see--”
“Twilight,” Spike voice was dead serious, even his playful ministrations came to a halt. “The only reason why mother didn’t banish Roseluck, Sunny Skies or any of the other mares around Ponyville and Canterlot that have tried to hit on me is because I asked her not to.”
Twilight’s mouth was agape, not even bothering trying to speak.
“She says I must wait until I find ‘the one’ and that she will make sure that no ‘unworthy’ female will come near me.”
“W-w-what about Rarity?”
“I was the one showing interest, not the other way around, still I got a scolding for ‘being too young’.”
Silence fell inside the carriage while the happy couple hung to each other closely, Twilight suddenly feeling a deep dread crawl up her spine.
“But,” Spike kissed her lips, softly tracing his tongue over them. “I’m sure if we speak with her about us she will understand………..omitting certain details of course”
“I hope you’re right, being banished to the moon would make an awful long distance relationship.” Twilight joked.
“I guess you’re right, hehe.”
Both looked at each other’s eyes and began to laugh for no reason whatsoever, after half a minute of laughter, it stopped slowly until silence fell between them again.
Slowly a deep blush began to burn into their faces as the gentle rock of the carriage began to register in their minds, though more in their body. Not sharing a syllable the two began kissing again. A slow, desperate, attempt to show their passions, exchange silent words, feelings that only such carnal activities could show. They could take their time though, after all two hours is a very long time… Anything can happen.

*Canterlot Castle- Roughly two hours later*
If there was one thing that all those thousands of years alive had taught Celestia to be a master of, that would be patience, and it was a mastery that she showed almost every day of her life, dealing with nobles, wild creatures here and there, the occasional conflict with other nations, Discord and so forth made sure her mastery over her most powerful weapon remained sharp and steady. But right now that mastery was being tested to its up most limits by her own eagerness and desire to see her son and give him the news of his now official status in the royal family.
‘Finally, my Spikey will be granted the title he deserves and his rightful place at my side, no longer will he be the prince in the shadows but an actual prince of Equestria, one that will fulfill the role-model of loyalty, chivalry and righteousness .’ She thought happily as she waited on her chair, right in front of the royal aerial balcony. ‘Thankfully my company is as eager as me for their return .’
Celestia giggled as she turned her head slightly to the left to see the rest of the Element Bearers joking, talking and eating (in Pinkie’s case) as they waited for their friends arrival, who were ten minutes late as it were.
“I can’t say it bothers me, darling, but I must evince my concern for Twilight’s, how does she puts it?... Ah yes, tardiness, you know how much she hates to be late for anything.” Rarity said as she sat alongside Applejack drinking tea and discussing about their friend's lateness.
“Ah reckon they must have troubles with the hotel that’s all, no need ta’ worry about it.” The cow-mare said as she took a bite out of a piece of cake “Butsh Ah shleay--”
“Swallow first, darling.” Rarity reprimanded cringing away from scattering food stuff as Applejack grew a blush.
“Shorry.” She swallowed “As Ah was sayin’. Ah was really shocked. What princess Celestia told us about Spike, Ah mean, Ah was always curious about his relationship with tha princess but Ah was never really sure.” She grinned mischievously back at Rarity. “Ah bet you must be eatin’ yerself right now, Rarity.”
Rarity looked back as Applejack a bit confused. “I beg your pardon, darling? But whatever do you mean?”
“C’mon Rarity, it mus’ be eatin’ ya that Spike is a prince and that you lost yer chance to ‘snatch him away’.” Applejack smirked, the irony neither escaping her or the fashionista.
“I would do no such thing!” Rarity exclaimed, her face taking a shade of red as she did, “I am a Lady, ladies do not ‘snatch away’ princes’, gentlestallions or gentledrakes in Spike’s case, a lady must always use her charms and affection to win them over.” Rarity took another sip of her tea. “Besides,” she began, her shoulders slumping as she did. “Both you and I know that Spike… doesn’t look at me the same way he did before."
“I am happy that he has grown out of his crush, I knew it would happen eventually but still, a part of me feels sad that it ended.” Rarity gave out a light chuckle, looking down at her cup of tea, a frown still plastered across her visage. “At some point I thought it could turn into something real.”
“Sooooo, you do like Spike that way?” Said a voice from above them.
“Rainbow Dash!” Rarity half-shouted as she looked up. “You know it’s very rude to spy on other ponies conversations.”
“I wasn’t spying,” She said smiling at her. “I just happen to hear something interesting and decided to join in,” slowly she descended to the ground, sitting next to Rarity. “so, you like-like Spike?”
“I do not like-like Spike” Rarity said, her voice resolute and calm. “But I do find him very handsome ever since he grew up a few years ago.”
“If you call his hunkification growing up then I agree with you sister!” Pinkie said coming out behind the white mare, making her four friends jump in surprise “Don’t you agree Fluttershy?”
“I…..I…..yes” The yellow mare at Applejack’s side blushed as she covered her face with her hands, finally talking for the first time since their arrival.
“I’m with Pinkie on that part, Spike turned out to be a total piece of hunk,” Rainbow said grinning at her friends. “Oh man, if he ever paid me any attention I would have been totally over him.”
“Now that you mention it Dashie,” Pinkie said with a confused look. “Spike’s been acting funny for a while, hasn't he?”
“He has?” Rainbow asked her pink friend. “How’d you figure?”
“Ya’ll right Pinkie,” Applejack said, her face scrunching in concern. “Ah know somethin’ mus’ be wrong with him, ain’t normal of him to just drop his long crush on Rarity like that, I bet he’s hidin’ somethin’.” She said, her hands smacking against each other as she came to this realization.
“But what could it be, Applejack?” Fluttershy asked softly. “Oh, I hope it’s not something dangerous.” She said.
“Ooohh maybe he has a secret marefriend and she’s like supper super important, like Sapphire Shores or Daring Do!”
“Ha! I bet his secret marefriend is a snobby noble.”
“*gasp* I bet their secret relationship is so secret that they are actually lovers!” Pinkie exclaimed as Rainbow, Applejack and herself laughed a little at the thought. “But I don’t think so, Spike is not good at holding secrets like that, just imagine what Twilight would say!”
“Ummmm, girls, are things…” Poor Fluttershy question was drowned out by Rainbow exclaiming.
“Maybe his secret marefriend is closer to him than we think.” She said, her eyes squinting in deep concentration. “AHA! I bet his secret marefriend is Princess Luna!!” The cyan Pegasus squeed at the scandalous thought.
“Wouldn’t that be incest Dashie?” Pinkie asked a hand rubbing along her chin in thought. “Though they aren't related by blood so it might actually work! How romantic!”
“G-girls, I t-think you should stop that.” Fluttershy whispered, still not attracting the girls attention, suddenly afraid.
“I can just picture it!” Rainbow chuckled. “Spike and his secret marefriend going all smoochy and touchy an----”
*CRUNCH*
The sound of something being destroyed at their right side made their talk end and look at the direction of said sound, the five Bearers, except Fluttershy who was already bleached like a carcass under a desert sun, paled a little in fear when they saw the end of the arm-rest on Celestia’s chair, or what remained of them anyways, caught in the sun goddesses hands and her ethereal mane flashing quickly around her, almost violently, causing even her proud strong personal guards to step back due to the heat radiating from her.
Celestia turned her smiling face towards the five friends, her impeccable poker face betrayed by her shaking hands and her swirling hair.
“While I’m very happy for your company, I would appreciate if you reserve such thoughts about my son to yourselves, dear friends,” Celestia said in the same motherly tone she always seemed to talk, it only made the dread crawling from her words even more dangerous than what they really were for some odd reason. “Am I clear?” She opened her eyes slightly, her eyes threatening to smite them where they stood.
‘Motherly instinct ’ Was the collective thought of the five mares and the two guards present, as they all nodded slowly.
“Good,” Celestia said turning her attention again towards her front, her eyes catching a glimpse in the distance, the personal carriage of her former student and now equal, Twilight Sparkle. Calculating the distance in her head she assumed they would arrive in five minutes or less. Celestia released the shattered pieces of wood from her grip and her mane returned to normal as her impatience returned in full force for her son’s and Twilight’s arrival.
‘Honestly, these crazy rumors floating around are starting to become annoying. First it was how Spike was, eloquently put, riding my plot around the yard. Next how he was seducing the royal court to his whim. Now the paparazzi is spouting some such scandalous behavior he presented during their vacation. Alas the freedom of speech does sometimes lead to its abuse. ’ She thought as the carriage came closer. Hearing Rainbow Dash shout her son and former-protégées arrival to her friends Celestia couldn’t help the giddy flutter in her wings as she waited. ‘Almost time to set everything into motion .’
As minutes passed the carriage approach until it was clearly visible to them, less than a minute away by Rainbow’s calculations.
Standing up from her chair Celestia began to walk towards the platform in the balcony, followed closely by the Bearers. “Guards, you may take the chair away now.”
“By your command.” Said both guards as they excused themselves with said chair.
“You are late, Luna.” Celestia spoke, confusing the Bearers as Luna was nowhere in sight, though one light thud and a burst of dust later Luna herself was present at Celestia’s side. “What took you so long?”
“Hello, your highness.” the five mares said simultaneously, dropping into a light bow.
“Hello dear friends.” She said waving at them before turning to her big sister. “My apologies, sister, but I had to prepare our gift for our young nephew.” Luna answered. Celestia could see Luna’s excitement at the surprise they were about to present Spike.
“Good, is everything ready?”
“Almost dear sister, we just need more time to finish final preparations. We do know how you and details mingle together.”
“Excellent, girls,” Celestia called to them. “Remember, you must take Twilight with you and explain the situation, we need her help to finish up in time.” The Bearers simply nodded in agreement. “Luna, I need you to take Spike and distract him.”
“Fear not, sister, for we shall assure enough time for the party to be ready,” Finishing that sentence Luna clamped her mouth shut as four mares and one alicorn turned their heads towards Pinkie in worry, surprisingly she was just as cheerful as always.
“What?” Pinkie asked noticing the stares on her. “It’s a ROYAL party, those don’t roll with me, they are super boooooringgggg!” The five mares sighed in relief. “Plus princess Momlestia paid me enough to not do it!”
For several seconds the group walked in silence until coming to a halt, ready to receive the ones inside the landing carriage.
“How much did you pay her, dearest sister?” Luna asked, whispering against her sister’s ear.
“Enough to reconsider paying her with frosting in any other occasion.”
Silence reigned again for several seconds until the carriage landed softly against the platform, the green wings on each side of the carriage stopped their movement as they began to shrink. Once they were nowhere to be seen Celestia readied her most sincere and heartwarming smile she could muster as the carriage door began to magically open, her visible eye practically scanning every little inch the swinging door offered of the inside as it moved, she took a step forward to welcome her son her excitement nearly bursting through.
“Welcome home my son, I ho---”
Then, the gleeful mother, froze at the scene the door revealed once it came to a halt.
At first she thought it was some kind of illusion, maybe a new malevolent force that would threaten Equestria, or a really bad joke. She knew better though, there was no mistake to it, Twilight was sitting on Spike’s lap, her son’s lap, and was just about eating his face. And neither of them seemed to notice their surroundings.
The seven mares watching the scene before them. They could hear, in detail, the ecstatic moaning of Twilight and the slurping sounds the pair made as their make out session went on. Spike was using his free hand to caress her left cheek lightly, making Twilight move her head to accommodate their kissing while their tails were wrapped around each other.
After half a minute both of them ended their kiss slowly, as they separated the private display inside their mouths was revealed, their tongues coiled around the other in what had been a loving dance, Spike’s tongue returned to his own mouth ever so slowly, granting their audience a clear view of just how deep his tongue had been inside her mouth.
The couple gasped for air lightly and pecked at each other one final time before falling into a silent embrace. Then they turned their heads to the now open carriage door, silence fell for a couple of seconds.
“........Told ya we should have stopped ten minutes ago.” Spike said to his lover, who was simply stunned, he turned to his mother and smiled nervously “Hi?”
The calm before the storm, the single lightning crack that had been the start of floods around the world, paled in comparison to the natural disaster released with but one simple word. Tartarus was unleashed.
“SPIKE DRACONE SOLARIS !” Celestia shouted using the royal Canterlot voice. Her mane exploded into a blaze of solar fire, her eyes shining white with pure energy, her wings, opened in full display, alight with miniature suns forming above each wing. Exuding such power that the very ground rejected her presence forcing her to float in front of the trembling couple. Celestia took a step forward, even with the distance between her and the ground, she cracked the floor beneath her hoof “EXPLAIN, NOW !”

It was said by the royal guards stationed outside Celestia’s room that day that the scolding her royal majesty provided to her son and former personal student, would be the inspiration for a whole new generation of drill sergeants.
The ‘interrogation’ lasted for almost an hour of constant shouting from her part, some even swear the sun itself was brighter than usual during that hour, after it ended the royal chamber doors opened.
“And if you dare to arrive a second later after I’m done with my duties, Spike Dracone Solaris, I will make sure you won’t be able to eat a single gemstone for a thousand years, am I clear, mister?”
“Y-yes, mother.” Spike said, his head hanging low and his face still a little pale from pure fear.
“And Twilight Sparkle,” She said now turning towards her former student. “I will… Talk to you later, in private. Now, both of you, leave and don’t even think of running off somewhere else, I will know, believe me, I. Will. Know!”
With that said the pair were tossed (gently) out of Celestia’s chambers, a second later the doors slammed behind them.
Spike and Twilight simply stood there, mimicking the statues in the royal maze, the two royal guards behind them doing the same.
“Twilight?”
“Yes, Spike?”
“Was auntie Velvet as scary when she scolded the three of us, because I can’t remember?”
“Keep in mind my mother is not the goddess of the sun.”
“Still, she is a mother, of two.”
“...........not like this.”
“Figures”

“Princess Luna is waiting for you in her chambers, master Spike.” A guard behind then said.
“Your friends are waiting for your arrival in the royal mess hall, princess Twilight.” the other said.
The couple said nothing and simply moved towards opposite directions.

As the royal guard had said her friends were indeed waiting for her at the royal mess hall, the moment they saw her they simply stood up and grabbed her, dragging her outside the hall and the castle until they arrived at Pony Joe’s donut shop, taking a table big enough for all six of them they finally let go of Twilight and each took a seat.
For a few minutes only silence reigned between the six friends, pony Joe knowing from experience something was amiss decided to just leave them alone. Finally the silence was broken by Rainbow Dash.
“So… how was it?” Her friends, except Twilight, looked at her confused. “The scolding, I mean.”
“Celestia is not done yet, next she wants to speak with me, in private.” Twilight said almost robotically, the slight shivering all over her body only served to worry her friends more.
“It couldn’t have been that bad……..right?”
“She melted two of her crowns without even touching them, jewels and everything, just during the first minute.” Silence. “Can we please talk about something else?” Twilight asked her friends as she looked down the table, trying hard not to remember something horrible.
“Of course darling, we can talk about, oh I don’t know, your secret relationship with Spikey-Wikey?” Rarity asked, a bit of anger mixed with disappointment in her voice.
“Yeah! How long have you two being together and why didn’t you tell us before, I could have thrown you a big ‘Spike and Twilight are now a happy couple’ party!” Pinkie pouted.
“Ah guess you have been together for some time now, ain’t ya Twi? Ah mean, A’m pretty darn sure I saw his tongue moving inside yer throat while ya two lovebirds eat each other faces off.”
With whatever color finally returning to Twilight’s face was quickly tainted with a red blush and a happy smile. She was about to answer them when she remembered what they had discussed on the carriage.
“To be honest, we got together during our vacation.” She said smiling and sighing at the same time. “I totally didn’t expect it.”
“You have to be joking.” Rainbow said, Twilight shook her head side to side. “seriously? During your vacation? How the buck that happened!?”
“It happened during our second night, we were out on a restaurant, we laughed, we talked, we danced-”
“YOU danced?” Rainbow asked raising an eyebrow.
“--he was leading me,” Twilight said embarrassed while her friends gave out a unison ‘Ohhhhh’. “We had a great dinner, it was almost like a date……...he even asked me about Flash.” Rarity gasped in horror.
“But darling, how could he ask about that brute during your dinner, even he knows how hurt you were.” Rarity said truly concerned, her previous anger forgotten in favor of her friend sake.
“Maybe, but he didn’t know how he hurt me, so I told him, Spike deserved to know the reason.” Twilight sighed. “After I told him I was just about ready to cry but,” a big warm smile cross her face. “With just a single touch, a few words from him and the pain just disappeared, it made me remember why I fell in love with him.”
“Uhmmm, Twilight?” Fluttershy said “W-when did you fell in love with Spike?” Fluttershy asked as Pinkie and Rarity sighed almost wantonly.
“Almost three years ago, give or take a month, I don’t even remember when it was exactly, one day he was just my number one assistant then the next I had a massive crush on him.” Twilight blushed. “After his growth spurt he changed so much, it’s almost like he just, just…”
“Hunkified?” Pinkie offered.
“Yeah, that” Twilight sighed again. A drunken smile accompanied by enamored eyes exemplified just how far their friend had fallen for the dragon. “You can’t lie girls, all of you noticed it too, he changed so good!!” All of her friends nodded with a faint blush over their faces. “I have always loved Spike, at first I thought it was like a little brother and I’d be lying if it wasn’t the case when he was much younger, but after he turned sixteen I developed feelings for him, once he turned eighteen and ‘hunkified’ it only got worse, I couldn’t hold more than two months before I fell totally for him.
And not just by his looks, he was now more mature, more intelligent, more dependable, so caring, so chivalrous, so…..so…….so dreamy.” Twilight sighed alongside three of her friends in the same manner.
“Yes, I understand that darling, we all do, but why during your vacation? Did Spike have feelings for you too before that?”
“I’m getting to that” Twilight coughed softly trying to compose herself. “After our dance there was an accident in the restaurant, a failure with a mobile cooking table, the table fell to the ground and exploded sending skewers at us and the rest of the dancing couples up there.” all five mares gasped in shock. “I ducked and then I heard the skewers clashing against something, I looked up and I saw Spike hit by almost all the skewers.” she looked down for a second, shaking. “I felt so scared, I thought he was injured, I thought he had died!” she semi-shouted.
“But then the skewers fell to the ground like they were nothing, Spike turned around and he was safe, I jumped at him angry and happy and crying and everything” Twilight smiled as her body trembled. “After that I don’t remember much until we were back at the hotel, we went to our own rooms but I, I couldn’t leave him, I was so afraid he was really hurt and not wanting to tell me or worse.” Twilight stopped trying to collect her thoughts. She had gotten hysterical, even she could see that.
“Why did Spike do something like that?” Rainbow asked.
“He did it to save a griffon couple.”
“H-he wasn’t really hurt, was he?”
“No, he wasn’t Fluttershy, his thick scales saved him and that couple.”
“As touching as yer part was Twilight, what Spike did was very brave, reckless but brave.” Applejack said nodding slowly.
“Sooooooo, what happened next?” Pinkie Pie asked.
“Well, at first I tried to sleep but my worries took the better of me so I went to his room, he was still awake and he offered me space to lay with him, we just laid like that for a while, him hugging me, then we started to… talk.” Twilight gave a quick glance towards Applejack without her noticing, she knew she had to be very careful with her next words or Applejack would detect the lie.
“Talk about what?”
“Well…...uummmmmm”
“Oh, C’mon Twilight, spill it already!”
“Yeah, and don’t forget the naughty parts too!”
“Rainbow, Pinkie! Don’t rush Twilight like that, I’m sure she can explain perfectly.” Rarity looked at Twilight giving her a very serious glare. “Won’t you, darling?”
Twilight gulped before preparing herself to speak. “We talked about our feelings, he started by confessing he already knew I was in love with him, for quite some time actually, he hadn’t told me exactly for how long though, he also said he was a bit freaked out in the beginning but as time went by his own feelings changed, he said he had always seen me more than a friend or a big sister figure but it was a little over six months ago when he started to fall in love with me too.” a very quick glance at Applejack assured her she was still safe.
“Why didn’t he say anything then?” Fluttershy asked, a fierce blush adorning her face.
“Because he was in love with Rarity…...or at least he thought he was, until he began to notice how, and I swear he was the one who said it, sexy and hot I am.” The blush on Twilight’s face was so intense Applejack thought she was going to morph into an apple.
“After that I just, ermmm, proceeded to show him my affections with a kiss”
“You tackled him and began to eat his face out, didn’t you?” Pinkie said with a big smile.
Twilight covered her face with her hands and nodded rapidly.
“What happened next? What happened next!?” Rainbow asked excitedly.
Twilight removed her hands revealing an even more intense blush. “W-we just talked and kissed, a lot, until we fell asleep on each other embrace.” She smiled to herself giving out a very dreamy like sigh “I was so very happy.”
Her friends looked at her for a moment before turning their gazes towards Applejack, silently asking her the same question.
“Seriously!?” Rainbow shouted. “You had that fine piece of dragon hunk and you didn’t do anything, really!?”
“W-well the next days we played a little you know, like going behind the changing rooms to make out a little, sleep in the same bed the rest of the week, we even took a shower together.”
“Shower together so fast? Why Twilight you should play hard to get, a lady must keep a few secrets from her mate after all.”
“Uhhhh, Rarity, Spike and I have been together since he was seven, we have few to no secrets between us, I know him better than I know Shining Armor and that’s saying something, besides, it’s not like I have something he haven’t seen before or vice versa anyways”
“He has seen you totally naked and you have seen him?” Rainbow asked surprised.
“Ah can vouch for ‘er Rainbow, living in the same house tends to lead to some awkward and embarrassin’ moments, more so if ya share the house with a stallion, I have seen Big Mac naked many times and he has seen me too, it’s a tad bit embarrassin’ but there is no illness on it.”
Pinkie and Twilight nodded in agreement.
“While I do understand that Applejack, darling.” Rarity turned to Twilight. “A lady must always be able to keep a secret or two in the shadows from their special somepony, well, somedrake in this case, my dear.” Rarity said with a smile.
“Weren’t you angry at Twilight for hooking up with Spike?” Pinkie asked a bit confused.
“Good gracious, no! I am happy for them, I was just preoccupied that Twilight might have done something… unladylike to Spikey-Wikey”
“Ha! As if Twilight could ever do anything bad to Spike, or anypony else for that matter” Rainbow snickered.
“Y-yeah, he he” Twilight smiled nervously playing along. “Totally absurd.”
“I think it’s very romantic.” Fluttershy said. “You make a very cute couple, ohhhh, I’m so very happy for you, Twilight. I just know you two will be so happy.” She squeed smiling at her friend.
“Me too!” Pinkie exclaimed.
“As are we.” Applejack said followed by the nods of Rarity and Rainbow.
“Thanks girls, you are the best friend a princess could ask for.” Twilight smiled at them as they returned the sympathy.
A couple of second later the conversation turned to other topics, such a daily life, possible love interests and so forth, but Twilight was not entirely in the conversation, part of her mind was stuck with the words Rarity had said, and while they were unrelated to her actions they still tug at her heart and conscience.

Almost three hours later the sun began to hide over the horizon and slowly give way to the night, after spending some time with her best friends Twilight had being called to put the final touches to Spike’s surprise coronation party, nothing like her own coronation day of course but she knew it would be very meaningful to Spike and she was very happy for him.
Right now though, she wanted nothing else but to spend a couple of minutes with her dragon, so she was heading towards Luna’s room.
“Spike, Luna, are you in there?” She said knocking at the door, after a couple of seconds of silence she knocked again, after a few more tries and seeing there were no night guards nearby she decided to enter the room, half surprised to see it was illuminated, not very much but just enough to let her see without troubles. “mmmm, seems like they aren’t here after all.” She was about to turn around when she saw a book resting atop a desk, open, alone and forgotten, just begging to be read. ‘No, bad Twilight .’ She mentally reprimanded herself. ‘That book doesn’t belong to you, that may as well be Luna’s diary… but if it isn't… just one quick look won’t hurt, I guess. ’
Twilight walked cautiously at the desk, having an inner battle and arriving at a simple decision, she would only read the title of it, if it sounded important or personal she would leave it alone but if didn’t she just read one or two pages, she had a dragon to find after all.
“Life Cycle and Power of Dragons- by Draco Fire” Twilight read aloud. “Uhhhhh, this should be interesting, maybe I can find some tips inside here.” Twilight giggled pervertly as she sat down on the desk and began to read.
As she began to read the index of the book she found the information within ranged from diet to illnesses to growth cycles to their very migration, sadly it didn’t cover the different species of dragons “I’ll have to ask Luna to lend me this book later on when I have some more free ti-- Hello! ” she thought as she scanned the index, finding something of interest “Mating Cycle huh? I think I have enough time for a very quick read.”

Dragon Mating Cycle-
The mating cycle of dragons is a very unique and delicate process, it is far more complex than that of any other intelligent living being and has a set of rules to it, even if it seems short and simple. The starting point of this cycle varies for each dragon, it may start in their childhood years or in their adulthood, in some rare cases it may start in their hatchling years.
The process to find or decide to have a mate is a rather important issue in any dragon's life, for once they make their choice they can never turn back nor can their chosen mate if it is another dragon. This process is known as "Soul Bounding".
Soul Bounding can only happen once in a dragon or dragoness life, what other species call 'virginity' or 'first time' to dragons it means the very essence of love and eternal fidelity, once it is granted in the coitus act the dragon leaves part of his soul inside his/her chosen mate, marking him/her as a sign of eternal devotion, fidelity, love and loyalty.
After the Soul Bonding concludes it will take a period of between one and two years for the dragon to leave behind all his previous romantic feelings towards any other being aside from his mate, this doesn't mean the dragon will stop feeling other kinds of love, such as friendship or familiar love, what this really means is that the dragon will only be able to feel love, desire and lust towards his/her mate. The dragon's anatomy, such as size and physical form will transform, adapt and mold to that of his/her mate if said mate is not a dragon if necessary, this in order to be able to be close to him/her at all times.
It is to be noted that their behaviour also changes but only towards his/her mate. If, for example, the dragon tends to be brash, aggressive, greedy or even hateful this changes entirely towards the chosen mate, the dragon will act benevolent, caring, understanding, protective, loving and sharing, please keep in mind that this change will only be showed towards his/her mate and no one else. Of course this effect varies from dragon to dragon, in some cases this effect is barely noticeable.
All this information may sound romantic and even charming in many aspects, but it also holds a dark path in some aspects.
The other downside is that if the mate dies due to time or by any kind of tragic accident, the dragon will be forced to live alone, sad and isolated, in some extremely rare cases the dragon may be able to continue his/her normal life but will be doomed to never know love ever again, not even from another 'virgin' dragon for when a dragon loses his/her 'virginity' it becomes impossible for another dragon to perform the Soul Bonding with him/her.
Note: If the mate was assassinated or executed, may all the gods protect the one(s) responsible, for there is no escape from the rage of a broken dragon.
A ritual of love and fidelity for some, a sad and terrible curse for others. The Soul Bonding was one last terrible downside, one that, in the dark ages, was employed by almost every kingdom.
This last downside is that dragons can be 'enslaved' by others simply by taking, through force, seduction, or other debauchery, their 'virginity', for the Soul Bounding occurs once the coitus acts begins, it does not matter if the dragon wants this or not, once it is done the dragon will see the one responsible as his/her mate.

Twilight closed the book gently with a shaking hand, got up and walked towards the exit leaving a trail of tears on the floor, she didn’t made a noise, she only let her tears fall from her eyes freely, feeling a terrible turmoil inside of her, a turmoil driven by shame, guilt, disgust and a nagging feeling to vomit all over the floor. She continued on walking without any real direction, somehow she managed to find the way to her bedroom. With a touch of magic she locked the door, the windows and placed a sound proofing spell inside the room, Twilight walked towards her bed, grabbed a pillow and covered her face in it as she let out a powerful scream, barely muffled by said pillow.
She began to scream against the pillow without care, dropping to her knees as she did so. Soon enough she started to hit the floor, the bed and anything she could reach with the pillow, never stopping to scream unless it was to take in more air. The pillow was discarded in a matter of seconds, replaced by her magic and her own fists, spell after spell fired out from her horn turning to ash anything it touched as her fist slammed against the floor. The pain on her hands ignored as she continued, saying to herself every insult she could muster.
After ten minutes of thrashing around and screaming, Twilight finally stopped, half her dress was gone, torn to pieces or ashes in various places, her crown forgotten on the floor and her hands covered in her own blood, some bones were broken, she was sure of it.
‘Hurts? Good, you deserve it. ’
“SHUT UP!”
‘Why? You deserve so much more than this little ‘ punishment ’, just wait until he finds out, OH! Silly me, even if he finds out he won’t be able to do anything bad to you, Spike won’t even be mad at you.’
“FUCK YOU!”
‘Fuck me? Heh, why should I? Fuck you, Twilight? You can easily do that now that you have a slave all for yourself .’ Her conscience laughed. ‘Isn't it great though? He will never, ever, think of cheating on you, using you or anything of the sort, he will always be your little puppet and nothing more. ’
Twilight couldn’t say anything, she just grabbed her head and cried as her conscience laughed at her darkly. She just laid there on her knees, crying and sobbing without control or comfort.
Suddenly a click was heard and the door of her bedroom was open, a purple dragon walking inside the room “Twilight are yo------”
Spike took a quick glance at the destruction inside the room before focusing his attention on the crying mare. Time seemed to freeze between the dragon and the mare, for the longest time they simply gazed at the other until the mare vanished in a flash of light, re-appearing with another in front of the dragon she tackled him, hugging him tightly as her tears wet his scales and her incomprehensible words were muffled against his collarbone. The dragon in response wrapped his arms around her and hugged her tightly, whispering sweet nothing at her ear while she just kept on crying.
“Master Spike, is everything……” a night guard entered the room, for a second he examined the room and its damage, his eyes fell upon the dragon and the princess. “……...alright?”
“Yes, everything is fine, close the door, we are not here, understood?” Spike commanded without turning around, holding the sobbing mare in his arms. “If anypony, Anypony , is looking for us tell them we are at the gardens.”
“As you command, master Spike.” The night guard bowed and then closed the door of the room, leaving them alone once more.
After what felt like ages Twilight spoke “I-I’m sorry, s-so, sorry!!” She said in between her sobs. “I’m so, so sorry!”
“You read the book, didn’t you?”
“I… Yes.” She pressed her head against him harder, hot tears wetting his suit and scales even more “I’m s-sorry!” She said almost choking on her own words.
“Shhhh, it’s alright.”
Twilight pulled away from his embrace and got up. “Alright? Alright!? No, it’s not alright, Spike!” Her hands hurt but that didn’t stop her from clenching her fists in anger, her crying coming to halt as rage filled her. “I literally made you my slave!”
Spike got up, his face showing uncharacteristic seriousness. “Do you see me complain?”
“That’s because you can’t.” She sobbed. “No matter what I do you won’t be able to hate me!”
“I see no reason to hate, you haven’t do---”
“I FUCKING RAPED YOU, SPIKE!” She screamed as hard as she could even with her throat being sore from her previous screaming session. “I raped you because I was weak, I took advantage of you because I felt lonely…...worthless.” Her gaze slowly began to fall until she was looking at the ground. “I was jealous,” Her body began to tremble. “I was jealous of all the attention Rarity was getting from you, ‘Rarity this, Rarity that, Rarity is the most beautiful mare in the world’, I---I wanted to feel like that, I wanted to feel loved, truly loved. And I always had to swallow my jealousy along-side my anger every time she used you.”
“Rarity never used me.”
“Maybe, maybe not, but she never returned any of your affections.” Her fists gave out and brought her hands up until they were in front of her face. “I wanted to walk up to her and slap her for wasting your time and your love on her, I wanted to just grab you and kiss you there and then, but every time, every bucking time I did nothing, I simply stood there doing nothing, just like the worthless coward I am.”
“Twilight--”
“And then I couldn’t take it in anymore.” Her tears began to fall from her eyes once more landing on her hands, mixing with her blood. “It took me only a week to use that damned s-spell after I l-learned it.” She started to sob. “I knew it was wrong, I knew I was sick *sob* and I f-felt awful for it but I *sob* I always c-came back for m-m-more.” She hugged herself. “It made the l-loneliness g-go away.” Her tears began to fall harder against the floor. “I am a worthless, selfish, perverted and weak coward.”
“Twilight--” Spike repeated, this time his voice carried anger.
“I w-was so happy!” She choked. “I was so h-h-happy during our va-*sob*-vacation, I felt l-like everything was g-going to be…...just fine.” She hugged herself harder, almost painfully. “Th-then I read the b-book, m-maybe it was d-destiny?” Her trembling increased. “I should have known……….I really should have known that no stallion…..or m-male would ever…….love me for who I am.”
“Twilight, shut up.” Spike said, his arms shaking in anger.
Twilight didn’t listen. “I took away your chance to be happy, I took away your free will.” Twilight choked again, sounding almost like a chuckle. “It really makes sense as to w-why you lost your crush on R-rarity like that, it explain fucking everything.” She said angrily. “I’m the worst, I’m nothing but a worthless, selfish, horrible monster!”
“Twilight!” Spike shouted walking towards her, smoke puffing out of his nostrils.
“I should just die!!”
*SLAP *
The echoing sound of a slap made the room silent, Twilight had her eyes wide in shock as Spike breathed heavily, clearly furious. Looking up and straight to him Twilight saw small tears falling from his eyes and his right hand still in midair, she brought up her left hand up and placed it against her left cheek, it burned in pain. Confused she locked her gaze with Spike.
“Don’t you EVER say that again, Twilight, not ever again!!” Before Twilight could say or do anything else the dragon embraced her, hugging tightly as he kissed her left cheek.
“I won’t let anypony harm you, not even yourself, you know why Twi?” He kissed her cheek again. “Because I love you, I love you with all my heart.” Twilight wrapped her arms around him, softly hugging him back. “W-when I was younger, you…..you were my first crush, Twilight.”
Twilight looked up to him, hope filling her eyes, “R-really?” She asked softly.
“Yes, really.” Spike smiled at her, “I didn’t really know how I felt at that time, I just wanted to be near you always, no matter what.” He kissed her again. “Remember the nightmare door?” Twilight nodded. “My biggest fear is to be away from you, to not be loved by you, Twi.” Spike pulled away from her a little to look at her, he smiled and leaned in to kiss her, their lips locked for just a second before parting “I love you, my princess.”
Twilight cried harder and hugged her dragon as she sobbed against his neck and shoulder for a couple of minutes.
“I’m sorry.” she finally said.
“Don’t be.” he hugged tighter.
“.......I...I love you too, my prince.”

Spike was waiting patiently for his mother to finish her speech about her ruling, the secret she held for years, himself and the change his title would deliver to Equestria, he wasn’t nervous,he always knew the day would come and he couldn’t be happier. Not because his mother was arriving at the end of said speech but because the mare he loved was holding his hand tightly at his side, smiling at him with a cute little blush that only served to make her even more beautiful, in his opinion at least.
He heard his name followed by the new title he would be carrying from that day onwards, the curtains open more to reveal him as he walked hand in hand with his princess. Whatever would happen in the future he was sure he could confront it and beat just as long his love was at his side.
“Yes ” he thought “no matter what happens. ” he smiled broadly, smiling at the numerous nobles in front of him, including most of his friends and family, even Discord was there smiling broadly at him, holding Fluttershy close to him “I owe him a lot, hopefully he can keep what he saw and heard a secret .”
Spike turned his head to face Twilight, who did the same almost at the same time, both of them smiled and then kissed but not before saying “I love you”.

Desires Epilogue
“Solus, are you there?” the concerned voice of Celestia echoed through the dark cave “Solus?” she repeated as her horn ignited in light. Celestia gasped as she saw stains of dry blood covering the walls of the cave, pieces of cloth, gold, gems and weapons scattered in the floor in front of her.
“Solus!” she called loudly as she began to run into the cave, her heart drumming loudly and rapidly inside her chest. “Solus, please answer me!” As Celestia ran she took notice that the blood trails increased in frequency and, dare she say, ferocity. Whatever happened here was definitely horrible, she was sure of it.
Her breathing turned to panting the deeper she went to the cave. Turning around a corner she saw a faint light, making run even faster towards the source of it. “Solus!” she called again “So-hmmppff!” she called again before tripping on something making her roll on the ground. Celestia groaned as she got up, caring not for the dirt on her dress or the missing crown. Once she was up she looked back to see what she had tripped over with.
Celestia forced herself not to scream as she saw the burnt remains of a corpse, that judging by the faint smell lingering in the air had been there for about a week. A void of anger and revulsion formed in her stomach as she recognized the form of the remains. Turning around she saw that she was just steps away from the source of the light. Walking slowly, but surely, she made her way to a lamp hanging above an enclosed stone door.
“Solus, are you in there?” Celestia asked worriedly, after a few seconds without answer she glanced back at the corpse with disgust before pressing one of her ears against the stone wall. It was faint, but she could hear a voice coming from the other side. “Solus!” she exclaimed as she pushed the door open with her bare hands. Once the door was open enough she noticed that the room behind the door was illuminated, much to her comfort and pain.
There, in the middle of the room, sat a purple dragon, just a head taller than Celestia, with blue spines covered in dry blood with its back facing her. Celestia brought both hands to cover her mouth as she saw even more remains scattered around the floor. She walked inside the room slowly, her eyes never leaving the dragon in front of her. As she got closer her eyes filled with tears, immediately recognizing the old draconic chant for the dead.
With even more care than before she approached the dragon until she was at his right side. “Solus?” she whispered but the dragon didn’t move or stopped his chanting. “Solus, it’s me, Celestia.” she called again this time touching his shoulder lightly. The effect was instantaneous. The dragon turned his head towards her, never stopping his chanting. Celestia, for her part, jumped back as two lifeless green eyes met hers. The white alicorn fell to her knees as she began to cry.
Celestia closed her eyes and hit the ground harshly, creating a small crater where her fist landed. A soft and unexpected touch fell upon her left cheek, opening her eyes she saw the same lifeless eyes of the dragon but this time he had stopped his chanting. “Solus…..” she whispered sadly.
“Celestia….you….came.” the dragon said in a low and monotone tone making his usual loud and bombastic voice sound gloomy and lifeless, just like the look in his eyes. A faint smile flashed from his mouth for a second before he spoke again. “They killed them, Celestia. The ponies killed them.” Solus said emotionless.
“Solus….I….I….I should’ve come sooner…..I…..” Celestia began saying but words failed her in the end. “I’m so, so sorry.”
“I did justice,” the dragon continued as if he didn’t hear her “I killed them all. Ripping and burning I did my justice. My beloved….oh my sweet Tyresia, I couldn’t save her.” his tone cold and emotionless as before.
“......” Celestia remained silent biting her lower lip out of anger and frustration. She knew of the dragon hunters and how dangerous they were but she thought, she hoped, that by placing Solus and his soon to be family under her protection would be enough. But it clearly hadn’t been the case. “It’s all my fault.” she said with venom in her voice. The touch on her cheek pressed against her making her look at Solus again.
“No, it wasn’t your fault, my dear Celestia. You did everything you could.”
“It wasn’t enough to protect you, Solus! I could‘ve posted guards, I could’ve pass a law. Something, anything!” she screamed grabbing his claw with her hands and pressing it against her cheek even harder. “I should’ve done more!” Celestia embraced his claws as she cried helplessly.
After a few minutes of nothing but the cries of Celestia echoing around the room Solus spoke again.
“Do you regret your decision?” Solus asked as tears filled his lifeless eyes.
Celestia stopped her bellowing and began to sob instead until she was able to calm herself enough to answer him “O-of course not.”
“He...he...he. You don’t know how to lie, Celly.” Celestia made a rasping, almost agonizing sound before she launched herself at the dragon, embracing him as hard as she could upon hearing her nickname. “Celly, listen to me.” he said pulling her away with his free arm without success. “I…..I was able to save one of our eggs.”
Celestia freed the dragon from her embrace only to look at him baffled. After a few seconds she noticed Solus was looking at his lap, following his gaze Celestia soon saw his other arm carefully protecting an egg. Solus grabbed the egg tenderly and presented it to her. “Take it, please.” Celestia wordlessly took the purple egg with deeper purple dots softly between her hands and brought it close to her, until it was being pressed against her chest.
“I don’t have the right to ask this from you, Celly. But please, protect mine and Tyresia’s egg.” he said before returning his gaze to the front. “Goodbye, Celly.” and then he resumed his chanting.
Celestia got up with the egg in her arms as she fought back her sobbing, she knew it would be pointless to try to convince the dragon to come with her, or to do anything for that matter. She gritted her teeth hard as she began to walk towards the exit of the room while looking around it for the first time since her entry. She saw many paintings of fields and mountains, a nest that also acted as a bed and several pictures scattered across the walls, most of them of Solus and Tyresia, a brown dragoness with green spines and red eyes, together as a couple looking happy and in love. Her heart felt a pang of pain and jealousy upon seeing such images, specially the one that portrayed them with her in the middle of them while the three of them smiled and laughed.
The pristine white alicorn stopped and turned around to see the blue dragon one last time. “I love you.” she whispered before stepping outside the room, using her magic to seal the room behind her.
Celestia woke up with a loud gasp, her mind startled trying to figure out exactly where she was. Quickly, she remembered she was in the safety of her personal chambers. She closed her eyes and brought up her hands to clean the sweat trickling down from her face, it was only upon touching her face that she noticed her hot tears.
“I’m sorry, Solus.” she whispered to the darkness.

Celestia sat on her throne with a small smile on her face as she saw her son dealing with the royal court of the day on his own. It was just what she’d come to expect from her usual court duties; listening to petty fights and over-exaggerated tales between noble ponies.
“And I believe that after hearing my side of the story, it’s clear to see that I’m the victim, not her!” a mare wearing a dirty and stained baby blue dress said as she pointed a finger at another mare dressed in a maid outfit. “I demand justice for the damage caused by her ineptitude to my one-of-a-kind Hoity Toity summer-line dress!” the mare said crossing her arms in anger for a second before dropping into a low bow and showing an apologetic smile. “Your highness.” she finished politely.
“I already told you it wasn’t my fault! I was only doing my job when you knocked me down. You weren’t putting attention where you were walking.” The maid said in a firm yet soft tone.
“Why you little-”
“Silence.” the dragon said in a serious tone as he got up, making both mares in front of him to shut up and bow before him. “I’ve reached a verdict. Miss, Feather Duster was it?” the maid nodded. “Apologize to Miss Blue Bells for ruining her unique dress.”
The maid turned to said mare, who was giving out a smug smile, and said. “I’m sorry for ruining your dress, Miss Blue Bells.” the classy mare scoffed in victory.
“Good.” Spike began “Now both of you may retire, have a nice day.” the dragon declared as he sat down back at his throne next to Celestia’s one.
The classy mare looked back at him in disbelief “B-b-but this simpleton ruined my dress, she must pay for her crime!”
“The only crime I see is that Miss Feather Duster didn’t had the tact to apologize in the first place for your carelessness, Miss Blue Bells.” the mare’s mouth was agape with surprise while the maid smiled weakly. Blue Bells bowed before the dragon and thanked him for his time before turning around and walk away. A few seconds later the maid did the same and returned to her chores.
“Well done, Spike.” Celestia praised “You’re a natural at dealing with the daily problems of my little ponies.”
Spike turned to face his mother and smiled meekly at her. “Well, being around Twilight and the rest of the girls for years kinda trained me.” his smile grew wider, turning cheerful as his mother giggled. “Though you have much more experience than I.”
“Certainly, but nevertheless, you’ve done a wonderful job taking my place at the royal court for these past two weeks, Spike.”
“And I’m glad I can take some weight off of your shoulders, mom.” Spike sighed before letting out a small mirthless chuckle “But now I know how Twilight felt light after becoming a princess.”
Celestia tilted her head to the side, confused. “Why do say that, Spike?”
“Well, don’t get me wrong. I’m grateful you have so much faith in me to put me in charge of some royal business here and there, train me for royal court duty and even give me a say in various economical and political decisions but, I feel, I dunno, unimportant.” Spike saw the unreadable look on his mother face before continuing. “I mean, you control the sun, aunty Luna the moon, Twilight and the girls are the representation of friendship, Cadence takes care of the Crystal Empire and is the princess of love. Even Discord does more than I do….most of the time.”
Spike sighed again trying to clear his head and get his point across. “I just...I just don’t see how me being a prince changes anything in the great scheme of things, or maybe I just don’t see it. And I really don’t want to become another Blueblood to the public eye.”
“Spike, my son. I know everything seems confusing right now, but your time will come. Not today, maybe not tomorrow but eventually you will play your part.” Celestia said smiling softly at her son.
“I guess you’re right…...as always.” He chuckled earning a soft giggle from his mother.
An approaching guard caught their attention forcing them to take a stoic expression.
“Your highness, prince.” the guard said bowing in front of the princess and then at the dragon. “Lady Rarity request a private audience with prince Spike as soon as possible.”
Spike was about to say something but Celestia spoke first “Go, I’ll stay for the rest of the court hour.”
“Are you sure, mother? Court hour is almost over, a few more minutes won’t matter.”
“That’s why I’m telling you to go. You’ve done marvelous today, Spike. Go and attend Rarity, a lady mustn’t be kept waiting for long.”
Spike got up with a smile on his face, his throne suddenly disappearing in a flash of light. He walked over to his mother’s throne and kissed her cheek soundly, creating a loud *smooucchh* as his lips parted from her cheek. “Thanks mom, you’re the best!” he said as he descended the stairs until he reached the guard, who turned around and began to led the dragon prince to his new destination.
Celestia brought one of her hands to touch her kissed cheek, she smiled and closed her eyes. “If only you could see him now, Solus.” she whispered to herself. “I think it’s time.” she thought to herself as she waited for any other petitioner to come. After a few more minutes of solitude the bells rang in the distance. Celestia got up and announced the court hour to be over, she stepped down from her throne and walked away to her own private destination.

*Friendship Castle*
Twilight was in her study reading an ancient book written by Starswirl the Bearded, her personal idol. But she was only putting half the interest she would usually put into such an amazing read. Her mind was busy with other matters, more scaly, purple and green matters in fact.
Ever since his coronation (and after her little episode) their relationship became public. Not that they were planning on hiding it after telling Celestia about it, mind you. On bright side, their relationship was accepted by most of the general public and, surprisingly, almost all of the noble houses. The princesses had something to do with the later, she was sure of it.
The past two months had been pure bliss for her in more ways than one. Her usual duties as the Princess of Friendship were far more enjoyable than ever before, her studies and researches came out just perfect and she shared a linked bedroom, a gift from Luna since Twilight had her own castle back in Ponyville, between hers and her drakefriend chambers. A drakefriend that is caring, attentive and supporting, just like when he was her assistant but a whole lot better. He made her feel loved, safe, confident and calm.
And then there’s their sexual life. A satisfied smile formed on her lips by simply remembering their last night activities. Her flanks were still sore, and she loved it. She let out a soft moan before closing her book, finally losing all interest on reading it.
“I see your studies are progressing, Twilight.”
“GAAAHHHH!” Twilight stumbled backwards from her chair upon startled. Looking up from her current position she was able to see the owner of the voice. “Princess Celestia? W-what are you doing here…” Twilight shot a quick glance to her nearby wall clock before looking up at her former teacher and fellow princess again “.....and so early, too? Is something wrong?” she asked as she accepted the hand of the sun goddess to get back on her hooves.
“Nothing to worry about, I assure you. I just feel like it’s the right moment for us to have our little talk.”
‘I totally forgot about that’ Twilight thought, suddenly feeling a bit nervous. “O-of course Princess. Shall we talk here?”
“I see no problem with that, but I’m afraid it will be a private talk.”
Twilight nodded. “Of course, aside from the guards outside we are completely alone.” Not a moment later a flash of light illuminated the room, effectively soundproofing it.
“Come, sit next to me.” Celestia said as she sat down on a nearby couch. Twilight did so albeit nervously. Together they sat, sharing an uncomfortable silence for about a minute before Celestia spoke again. “Tell me, Twilight. Have I ever told you how I obtained Spike’s egg?”
Twilight looked at her mentor confused, it was something she wasn’t expecting her to ask or say. “Yes, princess, you said you found his egg a few years before me becoming your student. You tried to find the parents but failed.”
Celestia nodded. “Very good. But unfortunately, it’s a lie.” Twilight let out a soft surprised gasp.
“W-what do you mean by that?” Celestia looked down to her lap. “Celestia?”
“Twilight, what I’m about to tell you is my deepest secret, nopony, aside from Luna, has knowledge of it . You must promise me to never speak of anything you’re about to hear, specially not to Spike. Understood?”
Twilight frowned at her statement but nodded slowly anyway.
“Five hundred years ago I met a kind dragon by the name of Solus. He helped me to make the pain of losing my sister be more tolerable and, with time, manageable. Even after five centuries I was still haunted by my actions against my dear sister.” Celestia sighed soundly. “Anyways, he and I forged a friendship over a few years of me coming to his lair and him to Canterlot in secret. He taught me that not all dragons were vicious and dangerous as I, and many others thought. He, for example, had fled from his land in order to find a peaceful home. Equestria seemed perfect for him.”
“I taught him how to write, read and control his instincts, eventually he was able to change size at will and even suppress both greed and sleep. He, in turn, showed me much of his old lands, traditions and even how to fly better, but most importantly he taught me how to smile again. For one hundred years our friendship flourished and for the first time in centuries, I didn’t felt alone.”
Celestia smiled weakly as she stared at her hands. “Solus treated me not like royalty or a goddess, but as a mare, a friend. He became my confident and my best friend and I his. Eventually, I fell in love with him.” her smile faded. “But I never confessed my feelings. I didn’t want to lose our friendship, so I decided to love him in secret instead. A couple of years later…...a dragoness named Tyresia showed up, she, like Solus before her, only seeked peace and a home but for different reasons.”
Twilight sat at Celestias side in silence, enthrilled by her tale.
“Back in those days several dragon-hunter parties and even clans existed and attacked the Dragon Lands borders regularly in search for young, sick and old dragons; she was a survivor of one such attack.” Twilight grimace notably, she had once read a book about the subject.
“Solus offered his lair as a refuge and she gladly accepted it, soon enough the three of us began spending a lot of time together. Solus and I quickly befriended Tyresia, who in turn took a liking to us both. Solus more than I, actually.” Celestia let out a soft chuckle. “Two years later, during one of my visits, Solus was out searching for gems. Tyresia took this chance to confess me she was in love with Solus and asked me for guidance”
Silence fell between the two alicorns for several seconds before Celestia looked up to the silent Twilight.
“I love my son, Twilight. I….I may not show it as I should but I really do, I care for him so much. Even my actions in the past were all to protect him.” Celestia smiled softly yet sadly. “Spike reminds me so much of Solus it hurts sometimes, even when he smiles I can see his father in that smile.” Silence fell between them again.
“What happened next?” Twilight asked in a whisper, eager but fearful of the answer.
“I told Tyresia that she should go to a distant mountain to get a very rare gem and use it when she confess her feelings to Solus. That by doing so he was sure to fall for her. A lie, you see.”
“W-why lie to her like that?”
“Because her confession made me realise something.”
“Yes?”
“That by not telling Solus my feelings before she did I might lose him, forever. So I had to force her to leave, at least for one day.” Twilight remained silent. “Before I continue, you must understand one thing, Twilight. Solus, he...he made me happy. My life was miserable before meeting him and it would be again if I lost him.”
“He was my friend but if he and Tyresia got together then that would drive him apart from me in the end! I didn’t want to be miserable again, but by then I knew that telling him my feelings would be useless. I could see the love in his eyes for Tyresia and the same stupid fear that prevented me from telling him for so many years.” Tears formed in the borders of her eyes as she looked straight into Twilight’s eyes.
“But I knew there was something I could do to ensure my happiness. Solus told me of such a thing during our first years of friendship and it meant I still had one solution. A permanent solution.”
“Y-you didn’t.” Twilight said, her entire body trembling in fear and realization.
Celestia locked her gaze with Twilight’s for a second before looking down to her lap in shame, a tear falling from her eyes. “I told Tyresia a lie so I could take Solus for myself, by force if necessary.”

*Canterlot Castle*
“And then Pinkie just had to use vanilla frosting to clean my new dress line before Sapphire Shores arrived!” Rarity gave out a soft defeated sigh. “I still can’t believe it actually worked or that Sapphire loves vanilla frosting.”
“But didn’t you just said that Pinkie used the frosting to clean your dresses?”
“Sapphire has some really…...unique, let’s go with that, ways to test her outfits, including tasting the fabric.”
Spike didn’t reply and instead focused on taking another sip from his tea. “Sounds like I’ve missed quite a bit back in Ponyville.”
Rarity took a sip from her tea before answering. “Not as much as you’d think, Spike. Ponyville is mostly the same but without you is just not the same; the girls and I miss you quite a lot.”
“And it doesn’t help that when I do come to visit I mainly stay at the castle with Twilight, hehe.” Spike said blushing while he scratched the back of his head. They shared a soft laugh before drinking more tea.
Spike shot a quick glance around their private table, a place reserved for princess Celestia only. It offered a beautiful atmosphere by having miniature gardens all around them and the breathtaking scene of the farthest landscape of Equestria providing a peaceful and serene touch.
He also noticed the guards stated in the entrance of his mother’s private garden and just a little behind them a butler facing their way ready to serve his call. The three of them being far away enough to keep their conversation private. Speaking of which.
“Rarity, I’m sure you didn’t just come to chat and keep me up to date with the latest gossip around Ponyville--thanks for letting me know about Derpy and Doctor Whooves by the way--, so care to tell me why are you really here?”
Rarity huffed crossing her arms and looking away with her head held high. “A lady doesn’t need a reason to visit a dear friend of hers aside from that simple fact.” she smiled sweetly turning her head towards him. “But now that you mention it, I do have another reason for my visit.” she said making Spike roll his eyes, she used her magic to levitate a rather big purse in front of her.
Spike gave Rarity a puzzled look for a couple of seconds while she searched in the interior of her purse, until she smiled sadly and took out a big heart-shaped gem out of it.
Something similar to a shock of lightning mixed with the feeling of being teleported ran through Spike’s entire body, his gaze glued to the Fire Ruby he had given to the white mare in front of him years ago. He felt frozen in time, ignorant of everything around him until he heard the voice of the white mare, snapping him free from his trance. “H-huh?”
“I asked if you’re okay, is something the matter?” Rarity asked with concern.
“No, I was just uhmmm, surprised, yeah! Surprised that you still had that silly old gem!”
“It is not silly, Spike!” Rarity argued back making Spike gulp nervously, she looked down at the gem and smiled warmly. “I love gems and everyone who knows me knows that, but I love this gem above all else for a very special reason. I love it because you gave it to me, Spikey-Wikey.”
“I ah--ahhhh.”
“I know why you gave it up so easily even though you bought it for yourself, even if I did persuade you into it.” Spike was about to speak but Rarity beat him to it. “And before you say anything, you know as well as I do that I used your feelings to get it, and I’m sorry for that, Spike.” silence emerged the two for a moment. “But it was your decision and pure feelings that in the end made you give me your precious Fire Ruby. A symbol of your love, for me.” Rarity looked at the gem with a sad smile on her face.
“Rarity, I--”
“That’s why I’m here to return it.” She looked up to face him with a serious expression in her face. “I’m not the one who holds your heart anymore, Spike, therefore I don’t deserve to have this magnificent gem any longer.” she extended her arms presenting the gem to Spike. “Twilight deserves it, not me.”
Spike said nothing and slowly took the gem from Rarity’s hands; a big smile formed in his mouth as his eyes examined the gem and his mind ran hundreds of ways and possibilities to present the gem to his beloved mate. But the more he looked deep into the gem the more uneasy he felt about it, his smile dropping slowly. Suddenly his vision blurred with a scene he had seen before.
“I...I don’t know what to say. This is just so... generous *Mmchhua*.”
Closing and opening his eyes repeatedly several times made his vision return and his left claw to rise and touch his left cheek for a second.
“No.” he said firmly. “I gave you this gem from the bottom of my heart, it’s your to keep, Rarity.” he said placing the gem back into her hands. “Just because I love Twilight now, doesn’t mean it’s right for me to claim it or you to return it. My feelings mave have changed but that doesn’t change the past, keep it, it’s your Fire Ruby.” Spike finished smiling sweetly at Rarity.
Rarity for her part was astonished by his answer and the fire in his eyes, there would be no point in discussing about it. She smiled, got up and walked towards the dragon until she was at his side, bend over a little and kissed him soundly in his right cheek. “Thank you, Spikey-Wikey.”
Spike smiled broadly, got up and gave the mare a big hug. “My pleasure!”

*Friendship Castle*
Twilight stared at her former teacher, she wasn’t even sure what she felt right in that moment but she did know a very familiar pain strike her in her heart so hard that it stop for a moment. She didn’t know what to think but her mouth knew what to say.
“What happened next?” she said almost devoid of emotion.
“When Tyresia left,” Celestia began. “I waited in Solus lair for a few hours until he came back. By then it was already dark and Solus was so tired that he went straight to his bed.” another tear fell from her eyes. “I waited until he was fast asleep to…..to…..make him mine.” Celestia sobbed loudly. “I-I-I still don’t know what came over me or why I never reconsidered when I had hours to do so. My mind was so….set on doing is so, it scares me time I remember it.”
The sun princess sobbed for a few moments more before continuing.
“I don’t remember much of what I was doing to him or the things I was saying until he woke up.” Celestia forced herself to look up to her fellow princess, shame, joy, guilt and happiness present in her eyes at the same time. “He didn’t say or do anything, he just stared at me with his beautiful green eyes. I was lost in those magnificent orbs, making my…..hunger grow, then he spoke to me.”
Celestia closed her eyes to clean her tears before she gave Twilight a sad yet at the same time content smile. “He said that he wasn’t going to stop me, that he was in love with both Tyresia and me but couldn’t choose for fear of hurting the other. He told me he wasn’t strong enough to make the decision by himself, so in the end he let me choose. Take him then and there for myself or let Tyresia have him.” Celestia let out a soft disheartened chuckle.
“It’s kind of hilarious for me to remember that for the first time that day my mind wasn’t clouded by my own selfish desires.” Twilight remained silent. Celestia took a deep breath to calm herself and her light sobbing. “My decision is pretty obvious, is it not? I left his lair after that and secluded myself in my chambers for an entire week. When I came out Solus was waiting for me in the dungeons, he tried to sneak in to comfort me even after what I almost did to him, he was always too forgiving for his own good.”
“He told me about him and his new bond with Tyresia and assured me he wasn’t mad but rather grateful, I swore to him that I would do my best to protect him and his future family from any harm.” Celestia’s expression turned sour and almost angry. “I revealed my friendship with him and Tyresia to my subjects, needless to say most of them didn’t like it. But after declaring they were under my royal protection my subjects said nothing more on the matter.”
Her expression did show anger now. “I was foolish and stupid to believe that my name alone would be enough to quell the hate and greed most of my subjects felt for dragons in those days.” her hands clenched into shaky fists. “Only five months later I received news about dragon hunting groups roaming dangerously near Solus lair, I gave them a warning and, again, in my confidence and naivety thought it would suffice. Three weeks later I was proven wrong.”
Her mane began to flow and levitate more behind her as it began to give out a yellowish glow. “I made sure to visit them as much as I could, at least twice a week but for three weeks my workload mysteriously multiplied, giving me little to no time for myself. When I finally had the time I received a report stating a dragon hunter group had gone missing for about a week. I teleported to Solus lair afterwards.”
The glow around her mane slowly began to fade away and return to its natural flow. “I...I don’t want to tell you what horrors I f-found there, Twilight, but I found Solus barely alive, Tyresia was already dead and most of their eggs d-destroyed, except for one.”
“Spike’s egg…..” Twilight whispered.
“H-he asked if I regretted my decision, I told him no. But he knew I did. If I had taken him then he might have lived and be here today, with me!” Celestia cried out.
“Y-you’re saying that…..raping him was the right solution?” Twilight asked, almost choking herself with the question.
“No, of course not, that would have turned me into an even greater monster than I already was.” Celestia hugged herself softly. “Even if sometimes I wish I was.” Celestia looked at Twilight as serious as she could. “What I’m trying to say Twilight, is that our choices and actions have consequences, we will never know if they are the right or wrong ones until we see the results, and even then it’s hard to say if they are or not. That’s a lesson I had to learn by losing one of my best friends and the dragon I loved.” Celestia let herself go out of the hug and smiled almost darkly at Twilight.
“After that I took Spike’s egg with me and banned all dragon hunting actions in Equestria permanently. Those who remained and refused to cease actions were brought down to Canterlot and executed.” Celestia let out a sad sigh. “At least when the clan leaders of the Dragon Lands heard about my actions they promised to stop attacking the borders, as a sign of good-will. It has remained that way for almost four hundred years.” The sun goddess smiled to her student. “As for Spike, I tried my best to hatch him but couldn’t, for some reason I lacked the strength to do so, which left me with only one course of action.”
“The Element of Magic.” Twilight said, her voice a bit broken as she stared at her teacher.
“Exactly.” Celestia got up from her seat and turned to Twilight. “I tell you this, Twilight, so you know what I did and my decisions behind them, so you may learn from my mistakes and never take anything for granted.” Celestia offered her hand which Twilight accepted, she pulled her former student up before giving her a big strong hug. “The day you hatched my baby boy what frightened me the most was to lose him to somepony that would use him. I’m so happy you two are in love, that he made his own decision on who to be with, Twilight. For I know you would never do anything to hurt my son.”
Twilight returned the hug weakly. “Y-yeah, I would never do such a thing.” she said while barely resisting the urge to vomit.
“I shall leave you now, think on my story, reflect and learn from it, my fellow princess.” Celestia let go off Twilight and walked past her and into the next room where the portal-mirror awaited. “Or should I say, my daughter-in-law?” Celestia smiled softly at a waving Twilight as she walked past the portal.
Twilight stopped waving and sat on the edge of her bed facing the mirror.

Spike walked past the portal connecting to his marefriend’s bedroom, he was dead tired after his time with Rarity, a long day of listening to nobles bicker, plot and complain, a pointless diplomatic meeting with the diamond dog emissary and having to put up with Blueblood on a council meeting. He was more than happy to come back Twilight, who always was right there to greet him with a hug, a smile and a kiss.
“I swear, if I hear Blueblood complain about in which quality his cup was made once more I’m gonna make him fit in it!” Spike thought as he walked towards the bed, noticing Twilight was already asleep letting out cute sounds. “Well, if I have to put up with all that just to come and be with you every night, then it’s more than worth it.” He said whispering to Twilight as he ditched his shirt and climbed to bed, hugging her from behind, always mindful of her wings.
Spike hugged her close, kissed the back of her head and whispered. “I love you.”
He never noticed the dry tears on her cheeks.
