Thank you.** *+._.+*^*+._.+*^*+._.+*^*+._.+*^*+._.+*^*+._.+*^*+._.+*^*+._.+*^*+._.+*^*+._.+* So, on a Friday night I was just chillin' on my couch, watching The Crystal Empire Parts 1 and 2, snacking on some popcorn. I heard the phone ring, so I muted the TV to answer it. It was my BFF Katie. She asked if I wanted to come over tomorrow at 3 PM. I really didn't feel like it, so I lied and told her I had a dentist appointment. Hey, don't blame me. What would YOU be doing on a weekend afternoon? I hung up the phone and started back over to the couch when suddenly there was this loud beep coming from my bedroom. A very abnormal, loud beep. Like what a giant microwave does when its done cooking or something. I ran upstairs, tripped over my fat gray cat Boots (who I tape a dunce cone to her head because she's not smart) and implode into my room. I turned on the lights and saw my Acer computer was glowing bright green. Maybe someone hacked into it? I opened it up and typed my password. Then it brought up this window that said, "Want to become a pony? Stare at the pink circle for 2 minutes!" I knew it was a scam. DUH. Now, don't judge me. I was up for the challenge. I just was ready to do ANYTHING for two minutes. I don't know why. Anyway, I stared at the pink circle. Only 1 minute to go. Fifty seconds. Thirty seconds. Ten seconds. Five. Four. Three. Two. One. I heard this HUGE crash in my closet. I was like "Lol wtf was that" and opened the dumb door. Which, of course, had a Fluttershy decal on it I got from Nordstrom. Not dumb. Then a thing pounced on me. I looked up. It looked exactly like Mare Do Well from that episode that I don't really like. The real one. I tried to take off her mask but nothing happened. She motioned me over to the closet and we stepped inside. We walked past all the stupid frilly clothes my mom always got me, past some t-shirts...some stuff I was interested in for 5 minutes...some old teething toys...is that a dinosaur fossil?!... My closet was way bigger than I expected. Finally we came across the very back of my closet, a lone bar with a hanger. Mare Do Well pulled the hanger, revealing what looked like a pony mold. I was forced into it by some robotic arm that wildly appeared, and my arms went where the front legs should be...my legs went where the back legs should go... You know, in case you've ever wondered, pony and human anatomy aren't much different from each other. Just an FYI. Then the top mold came on. I saw Mare Do Well wave goodbye, then disappear into the wall like a ghost. The mold squished into me. I was morphing into a pony! I saw some butter yellow, some lavender... Then I felt myself falling. Falling. Forever.
The New PonyView OnlinePonified in PonyvilleThe New PonyI felt myself falling and spinning at the same time. Then a loud SLAM! Then BONK! CRASH! WHAM! CLUNK! I think I was falling down a flight of stairs... Then came the final landing. I realized I was not in the mold anymore, but was in what looked like a tiny elevator. It felt... WEIRD. That's all I can explain. I felt like my body was being all smushed up, which it basically was. It was kind of like getting new braces. They feel weird and hurt for a few days, but you get used to them. Anyway the portal/elevator thingy opened up and out I trotted(?). Lots of ponies were rushing past me, racing to get their work done or get a foalsitter...you name it. I saw a light blue Pegasus with a rainbow mane swoosh past me like lightning. She was the only pony who looked down in the corner of their eye, noticed me, then flew down to greet me. "Hiya. The name's Rainbow Dash." Ok, I already knew that; I'm a Pegasister, duh. But I couldn't just SAY that. She'd never seen me before by the looks of it. "Uh...hi." (What else could I say?) "Um...you got a name?" Well, that was unexpected. And a little rude. I could say my real name, but maybe I should think up a pony name. "Uhm...I'll get back to you on that one." I raced away. "Hey, wait up! Is this a race?" I knew I had to be the least energetic person I've ever known, but it's not my fault. I was just born not liking running fast or sports and stuff. I slowed down. Something was on my back. Like a bone or something sticking out. Oh great, did I snap something already in my delicate little pony body? There was a bone, with some muscle. And another one on the other side of my body. It took a little newbie-pony effort, but I could stretch the bones. They looked like mini paragliders. Wait, were these... Wings! I was a Pegasus! Hallelujah! What? If you knew my crushing goal for life, to become one of the flying men, soaring through the sky... Okay, maybe that's not a very good example. What I mean is, I've always wanted wings and magic powers. Hey, don't laugh. I'm sure you've wanted some at one point of your life too. I've always dreamed of soaring high in the sky, and yeah. You get it. Anyway, Rainbow Dash whizzed by me, then backed up when he realized she passed me. "So, kid, where ya from?" Dash asked. "Well, before now I was a hu--" Just then a ditzy gray Pegasus dropped a bucket on my head. "What the--!" From the inside of the bucket, I could see some words forming on the bucket's inside. I know it's stupid to talk to a bucket but I decided to take my chances. "Um...hi." "What? Why not?" "Yeah. Lyra." "Oh my god." "Gotcha." A little slot thingy appeared on the inside of the bucket. A little slip of paper deposited out of the slot. "Uh...thanks. I think." "Err...ok." I took the odd bucket off my head., "What was that all about? It sounded like you were talking to a bucket." Rainbow Dash interrogated. Duh! "Whaaat!! Only Pinkie Pie would do something as crazy as talk to a bucket of turnips!" I slammed my big mouth shut. "Hey...how did you know about Pinkie and her turnip bucket?!" I slowly slid the bucket over my head in shame and embarrassment.
Flying LessonsView OnlinePonified in PonyvilleFlying LessonsAfter a few moments I finally took the danged bucket off my head and looked at Dash. "Hi. Allow me to finally introduce myself. My name is Sunny Rays." "Oh. Hello Sunny Rays. I've never seen you around here before." Oh no. I knew what that meant. Approximately 5 seconds later, Pinkie Pie practically exploded into the town square. "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie! I've never seen you around before! You must be new! So that must mean you haven't made any friends yet you know a similar thing happened with my friend Twilight and yadda yadda yadda blah blah blah blah..." I slammed the bucket on her head to shut her up. "So Rainbow Dash, do you think you could give me a little lesson"--I motioned to my wings--"with these babies here?" Dash giggled a little. "Sure. With my help, you may as well be as fast as me!" She shoved a pointing hoof in my face and glared at me. "As fast. Not faster. As fast." I rolled my eyes. She flew upwards and landed on a cloud that was about my level. Now, you probably know that I wasn't at all used to my body. I didn't know how to use my wings at all. I pushed both wings downward, then up. Down and up. Down and up. I pushed faster with more effort (ok, a lot of effort) and soon I was a few inches off the ground. I wanted to fly up to the cloud so I downed and upped faster. I was already wheezing. Down and up. Down and... DOWN! Crash! Rainbow was laughing her head off, like it was oh-so funny that a Pegasus had landed face-first on the pavement. I picked my head up and spat out some asphalt and an earthworm. Rainbow Dash coughed. "I mean, uh, that was good. Really good." But right after that I heard some muffled giggles. I jumped up. "You know what? I CAN fly faster than you!" (I don't know if I was trying to convince her that or myself.) Dash immediately stopped laughing. "What did you just say?" I didn't repeat myself. I flapped my wings as hard as I could. It was really tough, but I managed through the pain. Soon my hooves(?) were at Dash's head level. My wings were screaming to stop, but I fought back the tears and flapped even harder. Now I was just a few feet above Dash. I could feel the blood pounding in my ears, the tensing muscles in my wings, my heart racing... Then I just... Relaxed. My wings were relaxed now. I could fly smoothly now. I guess tensing up my wings made it hurt to fly. But now, after relaxing, I could fly great. Not fast yet, but you know. Sort of like floating in a quiet pool, letting the current slowly take you wherever it wants.
